The Grand Old Gospel Hour is the radio ministry of the GOGF. and has been a cornerstone of our outreach since its establishment in 1961. It continues to run each week and the number of listeners continues to increase. The Gospel Hour is heard around the world on international outlets as well as online outlets, and of course local stations here in the United States.
We’re in Matthew chapter 28 today, and we’re celebrating the Resurrection of Christ from the grave. Our message today echoes the message of the angels to the women gathered atthe tomb: He is not here- He is risen!

In today’s message Dr. Hart we take an in depth look into the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into the city of Jerusalem. It’s a familiar story, but one with many layers of Biblical truth to uncover.
God’s people wanted to have a king, just like the other nations. There weren’t satisfied having God as their ruler. Are we?
There’s an old gospel song that says, “I don’t believe You
brought me this far to leave me.” It’s still true today.
The Holy of Holies. One man. Once a year. Strick
guidelines that if not followed, could end in death.
Standing before God was serious then, and it’s serious
now.
If the destination is getting closer to God, then today’s teaching is just the roadmap you need.
The Ark of the Covenant represented the very presence of
God, and as such there were strict guidelines as to how
and where it could be handled. Today’s teaching relates
those principles to the lives of every believer.
Wars… rumors of wars… rampant evil… Has God lost
control? Can we trust Him? No, He hasn’t, and yes we can.
Why do the righteous suffer? Why do we as children of
God experience some of the same pains as those of
unbelievers? Today’s message contains some hard truths.
Amidst the cacophony of voices in our world today, can
we really discern God’s voice among them? Yes, we can.
How soon can we begin to awaken our children to
spiritual things, and train them to seek God’s will for their
lives? Not soon enough.
One of the problems with many today is calling something a problem when the real problem is sin.
Every believer should have times of fasting in their spiritual toolbox. The goal of fasting is not merely to lose weight, it’s much more. How much more? We’ll look at that in today’s teaching.

All of us can relate to the challenges of waiting. God’s timetable is often a difficult one, but it is rewarding to see how He works when we’re willing to wait.
In today’s passage from Philippians chapter 4, Paul points out some of the many benefits derived from giving to others.

And, having become man, he humbled himself by living a life of utter obedience, even to the extent of dying, and the death he died was the death of a common criminal. Today’s message is a call to humility. Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking about yourself less.

As children of God we have the assurance of who we are in Him, and when we understand that it doesn’t just change our feelings, it changes us.
There are many things in this world that can keep you captive and prevent you from experiencing God’s best for your life. Be it a habit or an emotion or any other situation, know this: God provides deliverance.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

The apostle Paul in discussing the ministry of believers uses the term “ambassadors” for Christ. Generally speaking, an ambassador is an official acting as a representative of a nation, and sent to a foreign land. The ambassador’s role is to reflect the official position of the sovereignty that sent him. Paul likens his own calling to that of an ambassador, and he urges all Christians to consider themselves ambassadors for Christ. Didn’t know you were an ambassador? The Christian armour in Ephesians 6 is familiar to most believer’s but today’s teaching will bring fresh insights to this powerful passage.

Follow The Leader is a traditional childhood game that has been played by generation after
generation. A child is chosen as the leader and the rest of the children line up right behind.
They must then copy all the actions of the leader. If the leader runs, they run. If the leader
jumps, they must jump. Anyone who does not copy a movement is out. It’s a simple game, but
it’s filled with learning opportunities, just like today’s teaching.
Both quenching the Spirit and grieving the Spirit hinder a godly lifestyle. Just as we don’t like to be grieved, we should not quench or grieve the Holy Spirit by refusing to follow His leading.
The Word of God declares that there is tremendous power in the tongue- it can speaks words that promote life, or words that promote death. It is therefore crucial that we always speaks words of blessing int the lives of others.

All of these are things that will help enrich your life, but living a truly meaningful life must include the cultivation of a spiritual life that is rooted and grounded in a relationship with God through His Son.
Just as we can encourage each other when we do what’s right, we can influence others when we don’t. If you don’t want to be the carrier of a Religiously Transmitted Disease.
Even when we don’t realize it, God is at work. Even if things don’t happen when and how we want them to, never think that God has dropped the ball. He’s working, 24/7/365
Today’s teaching is entitled “The Anatomy of Division.” In the same way that we can study the structure and internal workings of the physical body, Acts chapter 23 dissects “division” in the spiritual body and exposes some of the root causes.

In today’s teaching we tackle the subject of “Walking In Authority.” There’s a lot to learn from this passage in Acts chapter 16.

God never intended our lives to be lived like an island. He wants us connected so that our lives can be an example to others. When you live a life of faith, you become a model, and give others a pattern to follow.
We can debate the “no pain, no gain” aspect of physical exercise, but there is no debating that there are things in our lives, that while they bring us joy, they don’t always exempt us from the pain of growth.
Today we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord from the tomb. Jesu has conquered death, hell, and the grave, and because He did, so can we!

In today’s passage the Apostle Paul is where he’s supposed to be, doing what God called him to do, and yet, he finds himself in a spiritual battle. We often expect to experience conflict when we’re off track, but when we’re doing what’s right, we often don’t expect resistance. We’ll see in today’s teaching that nothing could be further from the truth.
The packages on a delivery service assembly line are handled so that each is routed to specific areas, so that they arrive where they’re supposed to. It doesn’t always work out that way. The subject of today’s message is “We Are Separated And Sent Out.” Are you where God wants you to be?

The subject of today’s teaching by Dr. Andrew Hart is one of the most crucial disciplines in all of Scripture. According to Scripture itself, you can’t please God without it. Faith. It’s the key that opens the door to blessings, power for living and much more.
The subject of today’s teaching is foundational to our Christian walk- it’s “faith.” The Scriptures declare that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” The Scriptures also declare that we are saved by grace through faith. Faith is essential. One acronym for F.A.I.T.H. is: For Answers I Trust Him. Faith… it’s our greatest power.
The title of today’s teaching may shock you: “God Uses Persecution To Build Our Joy.” That may not make sense to you now, but it will after hearing today’s teaching.
God doesn’t have a plan “B.” He has a plan- a plan for my life and a plan for yours, and we’d be smart to with the plan. Today we join Dr. Tony Hart in the midst of a new series in the Book of Acts.

This day represents the giving of the greatest gift you’ll ever receive. As we reflect on that day, many sounds and scenes come to mind. But today we’re looking at some of the surprises that accompanied the birth of the Christ-child.
Pneumatology is the study of God the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity. Before Jesus was crucified He told His followers that it was imperative that He leave, because if He did not, the Holy Spirit would not come. Sound important?
As believers we’re told to overcome evil with good. The world may hate us, but we don’t have to respond in kind.

Here’s a question: How many decisions have you made today. A phycology today study says that the average adult makes upwards of 35,000 decision every day. That’s a lot of things to consider, and many of our decisions are based on how we feel about the possible consequences of each. The more at stake, the more crucial the decision becomes.
Judas’ betray of Christ is one of the most heinous acts in all of history. Such an act is still difficult of imagine. But we don’t have to stretch our imaginations too far, because in today’s message we find that Jesus is still being betrayed.
Seedtime and harvest are two important principles that are found throughout the scriptures. Physically speaking, seedtime is a time of sowing, and harvest is the time of reaping what was sown. But seedtime and harvest also have spiritual implications and applications.
When we think of worship one of the first things that come to mind is music: singers and musicians and instruments and styles. Some adults think younger folk don’t appreciate hymns. Younger folks don’t think most adults appreciate contemporary gospel music. Both adults and younger folks often miss the point: the question is what kind of worship does Jesus appreciate?
If you were to ask 10 different people to give you a definition of worship you’d probably get 10 different answers. Admittedly, the topic of worship is a complex one indeed, but today it’s not about our opinion of worship, it’s about the Master’s.
Today’s teaching is about something that costs a lot more than many of us realize: it’s “The Price of Faith.”
In John chapter 11, the miracle of the raising of Lazarus from the grave contains many significant moments. One crucial aspect of the story was Jesus telling them to “Take away the stone.” Had the stone not been moved away, Lazarus could not have left the tomb. Likewise, God wants us to walk away in freedom from the things that hold us back. Are there some stones in your life that need to be removed? Today’s message is for you.
Heartache often forces us to embrace God out of desperate, urgent need. God is never closer than when your heart is aching. God can turn tragedy into triumph.

The Bible contains what are called the “I AMS” of Jesus- times when Christ identified Himself in ways in which his followers could relate:
I AM the light of the world… I AM the Bread of Life… I AM the True Vine… I AM the Way the Truth and The Life… Today Jesus reveals another aspect of His character when He declares, “I AM the Door.” Jesus being the Door is related to Him also being The Good Shepherd. Join us to see how.
Today we take a biblical look at shepherding. The Bible says that we are like sheep who wander and go astray. Sheep need a shepherd, and Jesus is The Good Shepherd.
Dressmakers use a pattern. It assures that the finished product will look like it’s supposed to. In life as in dress making, you’ll want a pattern to follow- that is if you want a dress worth wearing and a life worth living.
In today’s message we’re given a pattern of life to follow. We just have to make sure that we don’t go over the line.

The faithfulness of this godly woman provides a powerful parable for the challenges of the modern day church.
You’ve probably heard the figurative expression, “All roads lead to Rome.” It means that all choices, methods, or actions eventually lead to the same result.
The story is told of a man who was lost in an unfamiliar town and asked for directions to the town library. The gentleman who was asked for directions looked up from his newspaper and said, “You can’t get there from here!”
Different choices lead to different results. Just as all roads won’t get you to Rome, all roads won’t lead you to God.
Procrastination has been described as the act of willfully delaying the doing of something that should be done. In today’s teaching we look at reasons why some put off the decision to follow Christ and His plan for their lives. That’s not just procrastination, it’s perilous.

In our last broadcast we focused on putting some things off. This week our focus is putting some things on. Both disciplines are necessary in the life of the believer.
When God called us, He called us not only “to” some things, but also “from” some things. The Christian life is not merely a list of do’s & don’ts, but there are some things we should being doing, and some things we need to put off.
As believers we are to maintain a life and lifestyle that reflects our commitment to and relationship with the Lord. When we dress like the world, we look lie the world, and that’s not a becoming look for a Christian.
There is a war being waged, and it is a battle between the flesh and the Spirit. The Bible says that the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other. It’s the struggle within us as believers. In today’s teaching we will see clearly that we can give our spiritual man an advantage. Want to win the battle? Tune in.

Remember Moses? To a generation of enslaved Jews, it seemed like there was no hope. Then God sent a child who would lead them out of captivity. God took the worst of times and brought about a miraculous deliverance.
Remember Elijah? Oppressed by a wicked dictatorship and a completely pagan environment, he thought he was the last believer left on earth. But God had a plan for revealing His glory to a nation steeped in wickedness.
The desire for “paybacks” is a strong compulsion that must be conquered in the life of a follower of Christ. Before we consider giving someone what we think they deserve, we must remember what we deserve, and show others the grace and forgiveness that God has given to each of us.

It’s a familiar saying. Anyone who has ever been in a church service has probably said it: “God Is Good All The Time.” We can also say that God is “Faithful” all the time. The prophet Samuel marks that faithfulness in today’s message. You might want to find a stone. You’ll understand what I mean after you listen.

Have you ever taken a ride with someone who was tired and began to fall asleep at the wheel? That’s a frightening experience. The Psalmist writes in the 121st division of Psalms that God neither slumbers nor sleeps. Today’s message will encourage your heart no matter the circumstances of your life.
Regarding the unity of God’s people someone has said, “If we don’t hang together the devil will hang us separately!” How true! Today’s teaching from Colossians chapter 2 is a call for unity. It’s a call for togetherness. It’s a call for the Body of Christ to “Hang tight.”
Today we start a new study in the Book of Philippians. Paul is writing to Jewish believers who were adding unnecessary requirements to the gospel and were causing internal friction among the people. The question which we’ll find in today’s message is one that will resonate within the hearts of many today: Who am I? At a time when self-identity is so sought after, this teaching is tight, and it’s timely.
No one likes to get ripped off. Be it faulty merchandise, unfair business practices or unnecessary requirements placed on our lives. The latter was happening here at the end of Colossians chapter 2. God’s grace is a gift to all who will accept it. Don’t let anyone cheat you by making you do more than that.
Theodore Roosevelt once said: “Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.”
The Apostle Paul would agree. In today message we find Paul contending for the faith- not only for himself, but for others. Yes, the Christian life is a fight, so open your bibles to Colossians chapter two and “let’s get ready to rumble!”
On this Father’s Day the passage in John chapter 10 reminds us all of the lesson Jesus gives us about fathers and family: Dads are like shepherds.

In Joshua chapter 6 the children of Israel have made it to the land God promised to give them. After 40 years of desert experience they are on the precipice of realizing possession of that promise. But as they found, and as we’ll find today, this was more of beginning than an end.
In American culture a “thumbs-up” is a gesture that you make to show that you agree with something, that you are happy with an idea or situation, and that everything is all right. When we think of Jesus’ resurrection, we should all give God a big thumbs up!
Today we look at the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into the city of Jerusalem. As he rode among the people little did they understand that it was a fulfillment of prophecy found in the book of Zechariah: “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”
