The film has been made through an inclusive production model which has supported over 250 people across the project, through workshops, events and bespoke support.

Welcome to The Screen Presence, brought to you by TAPE Community Music and Film, working in partnership with the Inclusion Team at the BFI. The show aims to present positive examples of people working differently in support of greater representation and opportunities within the screen industries.

Across season one, we'll be talking about gender identity, neurodiversity, disability, filmmaking with young people from black and minority ethnic communities and a two-part episode on mental health.
As with all of TAPE’s work, we’ll be looking to create opportunities for people across the delivery. The structure of the show means that we will have a different co-host each week; someone who has a specific interest or awareness linked to the episode’s theme.
In this first episode, you'll be hearing from Jen, Mel, Iyare and Nilan from the Inclusion Team at the BFI. They joined me for this introduction epsiode to share their thoughts and ideas about why this podcast has come about and what we all hope to achieve.

Would you be interested in sharing some of your experiences?

Shatter-Resistant
Shatter-Resistant is an ongoing research project, proposing to create a short-film showcasing the stories of a number of creatives who have lived experience of long-term or chronic pain. This short film will represent the latest instalment of a long-term creative journey researching this topic and talking to artists who suffer with long-term pain conditions (Shatter-Resistant was shortlisted for a 2019 Unlimited major R&D award).
The overall aim of this film is to highlight the stories of some incredible people, widening awareness of the effects of long-term pain, its influence on creative processes and on our relationships with the world around us.

Why should I listen?
Ask us Anything is an open and honest podcast about youth homelessness, recorded and produced by young people that have experienced hostel living and living on the streets. In the podcast we’re going to share some real life stories from how we became homeless to how we shave (do we really use a chainsaw??).
We want to change people’s opinions, to tell people what it’s really like and show that we really are good people.
We’re also havin’ a giraffe and hope the listener will too!
What will I get from it?
Ask us Anything gives you, the listener, the opportunity to ask us anything you like, and we really do mean anything from homelessness to giraffes to anything in between.
We hope that by doing this we can share some really important information about what to do if you’re homeless, show people that are homeless that they’re not alone and have A LOT of fun along the way.

A special Fearless.org episode in partnership with Crimestoppers. The episode explores the work of Fearless.org and goes on to look at issues related to 'county lines' crime. Explaining what that entails and looking at its current place in the wider world of drug dealing and crime. The podcast team speak to guests Geraint Williams (Fearless Outreach Worker), Steve Ridyard and PC Alyn Smith to bring you a range of perspectives on the subject.
