He skirts influences and interests, pulling together a compelling listen.
Next in the Dalston’s Soda Sessions series: DoomCannon bringing a laid back mix of Soul and Hip Hop into Jazz, with occasional gospel overtones.
DoomCannon is the solo venture of South East London based pianist and producer, Dominic Canning.
He comes incredibly hotly tipped - his first studio single just dropped on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood - ahead of a full release later this year.
He’s a founding member of Steamdown, and musical director for Brit winning Celeste - he’s someone you should get to know now, ahead of the curve!

Kasia Konstance is an emerging singer-songwriter and flautist whose music draws on soul, jazz and R&B. Her debut EP ‘Cosmic Dust’ was released in October 2021, and you can catch her playing at EFG London Jazz Festival on 17 November.
She’s a member of Tomorrow’s Warriors Female Frontline, and All Day Breakfast Club, and her music has received support from BBC 6 Music, Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, Red Bull Music, Spotify and more.
Kasia grew up in a musical family and began her career aged 8 playing lead roles in productions at the Musical Theatre in her hometown Lublin. While taking part in various jazz workshops, Kasia fell in love with jazz and soul, and early influences Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearie, Stevie Wonder and Lauryn Hill remain a source of inspiration today.
