New episode with the wonderful Eshe Shaw! This was one of my longest episodes ever because I just truly enjoyed hearing her heart and it was really like just having lunch with a friend. We talked about how she found her man which I personally feel is the true love, love at first sight situation lol It’s just so cute!
Afterwards we dive into identity, being a spouse to someone’s whose season of life means crazy work hours, navigating life when it’s not what you expected, loving someone in different seasons, having a child with autism and so much more!
I could listen to her all day but what I love about Eshe is she gave a lot of practical encouragement things that you can do right now. Eshe is real, honest and truthful so I know you will enjoy my conversation with her! Honestly her Instagram stories are the best so for sure follow her!

Since then she has grown her family through adoption from 1 to 4 so we talk about her adoption story. Welcome back to the triumph series! Me and my girl Aaqila just have such a good time. We spend a lot of time talking about her anxiety and depression. Please note we do clarify it is different when you have a clinical diagnosis and need to get therapy and medicine. However we walk through what it looked like for her. We also talk about being intentional with your spouse even in sex. Yes that’s what I said. You also learn about a lot of her passions and so you don’t want to miss this. Her faith in Jesus plays a major role in all these areas of her life so I am excited to hear spiritual and practical ways to navigate.
You are once again in the triumph series and well this episode has that statement written all over it. I have known this girl for about 8 years now and I am proud to call her friend. We laugh together 90% of the time as you can tell at the beginning but I admire her strength more than anything. We start with Jasmine’s curiosity of conspiracy theories, how she came to Houston, how she chose her job, intersection of therapy and Jesus healing, church hurt and my favorite importance of community. This week on the podcast I have a great conversation with Boston Evans. We are at completely different stages of life but I had fun asking her all the questions. We start off by talking about Unrealistic expectations across all things marriage, motherhood, life etc, how your spouse can be an idol and the beauty of working on yourself. I just really appreciate Boston’s honesty and stating the things a lot of people probably think just don’t want to admit about marriage and motherhood. If you know me you know I am a champion of therapy and counseling so being able to talk about the beauty in that was near and dear to my heart.
Some of my favorite parts of the conversation was discussing that you really do have control on what you take in. Comparison is a thief in the night and it’s unnecessary so if that means taking a social media fast or unfollowing the majority of your followers for the sake of your sanity then do it. Being present and having healthy love of social media is way more important.
You are really going to enjoy this one especially those of you mamas, newlyweds and wifeys out there. You can learn a lot.
Beautiful Collision #29 . . Okay so the laughter is pretty prevalent throughout this episode. Sorry in advance because some of the things I’m laughing at are facial expressions which you cannot see. You will learn pretty quickly in this episode that this lady is just fun. We dive into her education journey going from getting a bachelors, masters and now working on her PHD. We go from favorite foods and her clowning Houston(though Houston is the best) to talking about singleness and living the life God called you too. This episode goes from funny to serious back to funny in an instant. To know this friend is to gain knowledge but also die of laughter all at the same time. El has a beautiful family as you can see above and my conversation with her is so good! Some of my favorites parts were talking about what it looks like to deal with hurt from rejection from her biological father, how vulnerability has purpose, that it’s okay not to besties with everyone and so much more. She also is a creative in many ways and shares a really fun fact about her hometown. My conversation with this cutie was the best! Haven’t seen this girl in 4 years but love her all the same. This girl is a light to the world I know it! We talk about some hard things in our conversation, one being the death of both her parents at a young age and how that has really shaped her. We dive into the beauty of counseling as well because if I haven’t said it before it is such a beautiful gift. Then we end with her love for Pilates and now getting to teach classes. Her beautiful heart will change the world!!

Today’s episode is a good one. Today I bring on Derek Blanchard. You can learn a lot from this guy. We dive into the importance of authenticity, vulnerability and mentorship for men. I always love hearing a male perspective on this. We spend a good portion on this topic and he has a lot to say about it. It’s not all to serious because I give him his platform to praise his beloved LSU team and share his most embarrassing story. Sorry for my squeal reaction to this story. It’s pretty embarrassing. Lastly he calls out his Kobe haters and tells everyone why Kobe is the best. So listen till the end boys because he calls some of y’all out by name lol. This week on the Beautiful Collision, Margaret and Drew interview Xin Wang. Xin grew up in China and came over to America for a year to continue her education at UNC Chapel Hill, where she and Drew met. Xin spent the majority of her childhood diving, which led to becoming a professional diver, and even going on to competing in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where she just happened to take home gold and bronze medals. That's right, she's an Olympic gold medalist, and Margaret and Drew have the privilege of hearing the highs and lows of her diving career and what she now dreams for her future since retiring from diving. Xin is now back home in China, but Margaret and Drew were able to sit down with her before she left. So, enjoy their conversation with Xin!
