Hi everyone, been a while. What a rough end of 2020 & first week in 2022. Was not expecting my mother to be admitted to hospital, and now I’m waiting for her to leave this world… Currently, accepting I’m going to lose my mother, which has been tough & I truly will miss her. I felt like documenting my thoughts during the hardest time of my life. Entering into my mid-20s, I’ve started to really let go of certain things & building on healthy habits & to focus on my values and priorities for the future, including my career, relationships, friendships & family, other goals. Most important is my close ones, because I know I may not have many time to do so, when life gets busy. I want to put time for exploring myself, grow internally & find what brings me joy. Know my true desires and how I want to live my life, with some meaning, purpose & fulfilment. We only live once, I can really feel that now. So why not go for things now, appreciate the now, as it’s the only future we have.

I must admit that the toughest time has been my early 20s but I am glad for the life experiences both personal and professional for my growth. It’s a time where I’ve learnt to build my own identity & create healthy boundaries & have more control of how I like to live & put my commitment to. Especially after graduating, I got my footsteps into my career & I’m hit with the reality of the workforce. Yes, there’s pros & cons & sacrifices for every job. It makes me question a lot of if my career choice was the right one for me. I took about the importance to acknowledge how you think about yourself & about past experiences. The self-conscious mind is powerful & it can affect your next actions & ability to manifest or allow things to happen to you. I notice to create gratitude and accepting for even negative moments of my life. It helps me to be more empathic & life more mindfully and present which really helped with my anxiety & fears in unforeseen life situations. I hope this episode helps you know that you’re not alone. Reminder that every human experiences these & it’s okay reach out to others for support. Be okay to rest up & find clarity to your life & then when you’re ready, take the leap and head on to the next journey at your pace. Every small action you make, can open doors to something meant to happen for you either good or bad, let it be & move forward with strength & great wisdom :)!

Often as young adults, we find ourselves questioning what we currently doing is worth out time. Is it leading us to the future we want? Giving us a sense of life purpose, or a sense of fulfilment as it aligns to your values, skills, background etc. We all have a choice in life to commit to something. Though, I realised sometimes in reality the way that society works isn’t always what you’d like it to be. But, I noticed it’s all about having the right attitude to learn & grow & adapt to what’s given in front of you. I felt I’m always chasing for the next new thing. Never feeling satisfied & content. I find myself nitpicking on everything in my career, my personal relationships etc. I noticed it’s a psychological thing, I’ve been accustomed to having things the way I want it to be. Though, I know it’s always good to set standards and boundaries for whats ethical, and for my morals and values. It’s okay to not have things figured out now. I’ve learnt that it’s good to practice mindfulness, and not let emotions take over my actions. Be able to take a more slow approach. Let things be & not attach to things in life. Find contentment in the present time & trust in the process.

🌱🌸😌👩🏻‍⚕️👩🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🔬🌿 As a new 👩🏻‍🎓 grad, I’ve found myself navigating different avenues of my career. I speak about working as a private practice dietitian & contract works. I’ve been into exploring my ‘ikigai’. That combines do what I love, so what I’m got at, what I can be rewarded (payable) for, what is the world needs. Finding peace in the moment. It could be what make ones life worthwhile. Finding what your values are. I’ve been practising ‘mindfulness’ it could be thought as finding meaning in everyday life, rather than the future. Being grateful for the present moment, as what is given in front of us. I found starting my day with meditation & building some routine of mindfulness helps me be aware of what I’m doing is affecting me. Listen for more details 👀 let me know what your ikigai is? Learn to enjoy the process and be patient for good things to come. Everything you do will give you more direction of where you want to be. This episode I speak about “mental health awareness”. A typically taboo topic in “Older Asian generation.” How do we as young generations navigating our life but would like to be heard on our mental well-being especially during transitions, adjusting to new environments and stages of our life. Where do we go to get advice or even have someone to hear us out? 👂 🗣 Start with acknowledging your feelings and reflect on your life. It’s totally okay to put yourself first! It’s okay to not be okay. Let it be known but don’t need to be pressured to share to everyone. Find someone you trust and know they support you. This could be your close friends and family. But , what if the issues lie amongst these people? This is where you could seek for professional help like a therapist , counsellor or psychologist. They are able to hear you out and provide support and guidance that isn’t biased as an outsider. Being a allied health professional (dietitian), I’ve grown to be more open to seek for help from a health professional. I realised that I shall start to invest in my “mental health”. It’ll help me find more inner peace and heal from past traumas and be the best I can for my family, friends and especially myself. It’s a journey worth trying and starting young as it will greatly benefit me for a brighter future.

This episode, I cover on my life update, thoughts on the health-care system in NSW, and how I build my mindset that allow me to manifest what I want in 2021. It’s so important to understand your health-care system in your country. You want to know you’re able to trust and get the right support from the health services available. Choosing the right gp 👩🏻‍⚕️ 👨🏻‍⚕️ is so critical. I didn’t really think much into it until, i noticed how it affected someone close to me. The lack of support from your gp can lead you being miss diagnosed and may lead to detrimental health consequences. They are in control of getting more health services including specialists, and social support (support worker, social worker), and allied health professionals (dietitians, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist etc.). Not having a supportive gp may potentially lead you to life threatening situation someday. No matter where you’re at in life, as a student, new graduate or working you’d always have new challenges to face. Life is appreciating your present time, and adapting to what’s coming to you. It’s about progression rather than the destination. I’ve learn to take gratitude in your health physically and mentally as your capable to eat, learn, do your hobbies, go for a run, communicate, and work/study. All such things, may seem simple but can be hard for others. Be less hard on yourself and be proud of your achievements wherever stage you’re at. Know your worth and own it! That’s when the magic begins 🌟🧘‍♀️

A special episode featuring my one and only twin sister ‘Cindy’, whom I’ve known since I came to this earth. We always enjoyed our deep talks since young talking past midnight and having my parents questioning why do we have so muc to say. Maybe, it’s a twin thing haha. In this episode, we go deep in reflecting on lives in our 20s! Navigating on how much we’ve shifted our perspectives in ourselves and the world around us. We reveal our growth as we try to figure out “adulting”. Being real on the struggles of our own timeline to achieve our (unrealistic) life goals and realisation of what matters to us as we grow older. We also passionately discuss on “what we learnt through this covid pandemic time in 2020”. We also touch on how we maintain being so close as twin sisters, despite growing apart in our life journey. I always enjoyed having deep conversations with my beloved sister all my life. Something, I’d like to share with my listeners. Hope you enjoy it as much I as I did. Stay tuned for more episodes to come. Let me know if you liked this collab ;) (surely bring her on again).

Are you a new graduate from university? You could possibly resonate a lot with the post-graduate anxiety. Being so used to the structure in your day and having something to committed to. After graduating, I’ve noticed the changes in my perspective of what I want in my life and reflect on the purpose of why I’ve pursued in my career pathway as a dietitian. I figured that life isn’t all about a job, it should be something that puts value to your life. I choose to invest in things I want in my life. I also believe that every opportunity you take, can make you grow more wiser & allow you to figure what you dislike & like. It’s okay to not have a smooth sailing journey in discovering things in your life, if that means career, relationships, friendships and family. Remember you are on your own journey. Take things your pace & always acknowledge your core values are being met. It’s a great time to curate your life ~~

🧳 ♥️🌍 have you ever felt you’ve been waiting for something for a life time? Maybe take a step back & think about what you have at present. Know what you can achieve now rather than the far future. Give yourself daily things to look forward to. Learn to create and work on things for yourself that you can take with you in the long run. Remember the progress is way more precious than the end result. As time is limited, the journey you’re taking is something to consider, than the end point.
