Rose is completing herĀ PhD inĀ Criminology and Sociology at the University of Oslo, where they discuss her research focusing on substance abuse disorder treatment in theĀ NorwegianĀ prison system. During her research Rose has conducted ethnographic fieldwork in high-security prisons interviewing both people in prison, and prison healthcare staff. Rose provides insight into how she looked after herself during this time, the stigma surrounding substance abuse and highlights the changes that should be made to improve the prison management system.Ā
