Our faith journey with Jesus is all about connection. Likewise we have to guard against the distractions that cause our faith to disconnect. We look at how both these lessons can be learnt from the story of when Peter walks on the water.
A destination Christian is focused on simply surviving until they reach heaven and tends to miss out on opportunities in the present. In contrast, a Christian on a faith journey holds onto God's promises, lives with hope, and is always ready to give testimony to God's goodness. They weather the storms of life because they are rooted in Christ. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Encourage us to run hard towards the finish line and live a life of focus and determination.
Jesus called his disciples saying “Come follow me“. Answering his call radically changed their lives and it’s still impacting our lives today. Do we really know what it means to follow Jesus?
In life we are presented with many opportunities. Learn how to set yourself up to be ready to walk through the right doors, doors of peace, hope etc.
We want hope, in fact we need it however all of life’s difficulties seem to constantly work against us. Living with a heart full of hope seems unreasonable but yet it is possible.
How do we live our lives so that our internal story and external story, is characterised by the grace and truth of Jesus?

Pastor Brett basis today's message on stories of David and his men from 2 Samuel 23 v 13-17. Transformation came from honor and courage.
You can go from being discontent 'in the world' to discontent in the church, or 'fleshly minded' in the world, to 'fleshly minded' in the church.
We each have to choose life, truth and courage in order to rise above and be rebuilt. In God, we can and must move from victimhood, to victory.

Today, we continue on with the same theme of last week, expounding more on the Acts 3 passage at The Beautiful Gate.
Our title for today's message is The Beautiful Name of Jesus.
No matter our struggle today, we know we can rely on and place our hope, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let Him empower you, through the Holy Spirit as you listen.
Our main text today is Acts 3 vs 1-9 where Peter and John heal a lame man at The Beautiful Gate (Or Wonderful) and how this act, and the gate itself points to Jesus, who is the entrance to the sheepfold of God.
His name is Wonderful! A name, which Isaiah refers too (Wonderful Counselor)
Today we will look at the Wonderful name of Jesus.
Today, we are celebrating Easter Sunday. Pastor Brett's message today, is about our hearts, looking at Luke 22: 8 - 12 as Jesus sent disciples to prepare the room for the Last Supper. Let's leave it there, so you can listen to the message to hear about the importance of preparing our hearts.

Today, Believers world-over celebrate Palm Sunday, the day in recognition of Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem at the eve of His crucifixion to the celebration of the people, waving palm leaves in the air and laying them before him as He rode in.

Our text for today is taken from Luke 1, as we look at Mary, the Mother of Jesus and her character as an example of walking in their God-given authority. We will also look at how the consequences of walking in this God-given authority, and walking in faith causes a ripple effect of God's blessing and favour, as well as affects the lives of others.

Can you picture it? The scene, just before the rocket ship's fuel ignites, the countdown comes .... 4, 3, 2, 1 and suddenly, there is this powerful ignition, flame, smoke and immense force lifting the rocket into the air!

God's plan for us as Believers is transformation, not stagnation.
We are transformed, we are in the world, but not of it. We have been transferred from a kingdom of darkness, to a kingdom of light.

Good Morning.
We continue with Psalm 4 this morning and look at verse 3 in particular.
Many feel that life right now is just too intense, we encourage you to continue to put your hope in Christ. He has already made a way. God is our source, even in a time of drought. We, we have to drink from the life-giving water, from the source daily, "like a tree, planted by streams of [life-giving] water, which yields fruit in and out of season."
Today is part 3 of our deeper look into Psalm 1, focusing on verse 3 which is very much the central theme of this passage.
Where do you find yourself planted? We're not talking about your physical location, but your spiritual state, your mindset, your focus.
Where are you in Christ?
Are you planted and positioned for blessing?
We trust that today's message will indeed encourage you, to be planted by streams of living water.

Stressed, or Blessed?
Exodus 14:14 says: " The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still." BE STILL - Trust, Have Faith in God, Be Strong and Courageous.
In 2 Cor 4: 7 onwards, we are reminded by Paul that "we have this treasure in jars of clay....". Though they were afflicted, they were not crushed, though perplexed not driven to despair, persecuted but not forsaken....
You are an earthen vessel, carrying a treasure, the message of hope.
We hope this series has encouraged you to look at your view of yourself and your mindset in life. Choose to be heaven minded, meditate on the Word, Praise God in all circumstance, Step out in Faith. Take up your position and Be Still, the Lord will fight for you.

Rivers, we know, bring and sustain life. And so it is with us, if we wish to grow, or to have sustenance, we need to spend time in God's presence. The Holy Spirit, is like spiritual water to our souls and as much as our physical bodies need water, we need "Life-giving" water for our souls.
