The widow told Elijah that she only had enough oil and flour to cook her last meal for her and her son.
Elijah, being anointed of God told the widow not to be afraid and cook some bread for him first and then what was left over prepare a meal for her and her son.
What happened next changed the life of the widow forever.

That very first Christmas was no exception, Marry & Joseph had to ride a donkey for some 90 miles to participate in a mandatory census. They got to Bethlehem and couldn’t find a place to stay – every room was booked. Adding to the whole mix, Marry went into labor and her baby boy was born in a stable!

Dan or as we so affectionately like to call him “PD”, will be presenting a very uplifting message this Father’s Day.
His subject matter will help us better understand why Jesus so caringly spoke of the paralyzed man in the book of Mark chapter 2 verses 1 – 12 as His son.
Let’s now join PD in a sermon he is entitling, “Jesus Called Him Son”.

This does not mean that everyone who is prosperous or healthy has found favor with God. Nor does it mean that those whom the Lord favors will never suffer difficulties.
Many people in the Bible had the Lord’s favor but also suffered hardship. Heroes such as Noah, Moses, Daniel, and Mary were favored of the Lord, but they also struggled with difficulties like anyone else.
Those who are favored of God know that God is with them and that nothing can happen to them apart from His good purpose. They have His ear as they walk through dark valleys and know that their struggle to remain true to Him will not go unrewarded.

Many believers today give into their doubts, they grow weary of waiting for God. Many like the Christmas holiday, but are falling short in their belief of a real savior. With the Christmas season upon us, Pastor Terry is starting a new sermon series he calls, Christmas Blessings. Traditionally the church has taken a somewhat judgmental or harsh attitude on sinners. We have taken the viewpoint that sin is punishable by death and that God sent His son to save us from damnation and Hell.
While this is all very true, we sometimes forget that Jesus sought out the very worst of offenders in order to shed grace upon them.
Jesus wants us to bare truth to people, but at the same time share the grace of forgiveness and love so that people may want to change from there disparaging ways.
Pastor Terry concludes his two part sermon series entitled contagious grace, with this weeks enspiring message he calls, “When Gracie Met Truthy”
