I've started reading Time of the Twins again, the first book in the second trilogy of the Dragonlance books, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I read this book for the first and only time back in the early 90's , and I have some thoughts. Additionally, I have a few amazing calls from Jason, Spencer, and a brand new, first time caller! I kick off the episode by discussing why the argument of "backstories are lame because someone will show up with a first level character that killed a dragon, and that's just silly" isn't a good argument. As promised, my 190th episode brings you almost five minutes of Jason telling me off for engaging in edition war nonsense. Today I talk more about Mystera and all its' beautiful weirdness and give a rundown on what happened in last night's awesome session of Rise of the Runelords.

I know, another episode from me already? Yup. I love it when folks call in because it gives me stuff to talk about. I also talk about my new favorite old setting.
I received some pushback from my last episode and let it not be sad that I do not give my detractors a voice on my platform.
The majority of this episode is dedicated to talk about my new character.
What happened yesterday was started by, encouraged by, and supported by Donald Trump, the worst president this country has ever had. If someone supports Donald Trump, then they are a cultist. They're not a part of a political party. They're members of a very dangerous cult; blindly believing whatever their cult leader tells them. They should be ashamed of themselves, but they're all too stupid, self centered, and selfish to feel shame.
I also talk about the near TPK we suffered last night. Feel free to skip the first 3 minutes if you don't want to hear my rant.

Herein I ACTUALLY tell you about my recent time with Rise of the Runelords. We're deep into book 5 now and it's still all the way awesome! This was our last session before the New year, so I guess I'll have to come up with something else to talk about for a few weeks. Oh, and I once again (for the first time) tell you about the one feat I might ban in the next campaign of Pathfinder that I run.
I also speak a bit about what plans I may have for the New Year. No, not New Year's Resolution. Those are stupid and doomed to fail. Just something that's running around inside of my head.
I didn't think of the title until I was done recording but I have to give a big shout out to ol' Spikepit for introducing me to that pithy little saying.

Just a quick re-cap of this week's Rise of the Runelords game. A few folks have mentioned that they enjoy hearing about my sessions, but these re-caps are really more for future Joe than anything else. I think it'll be cool to have a saved memory of my first ever complete Pathfinder Adventure Path.
It's official. I am, once again, part of the working world. No longer will I have endless free time to plum the depths of gaming minutia. This makes me sad. This opportunity I have is really amazing though. I'll be working directly to better the lives of people. I'm stoked!

The tale of my most recent session of our Rise of the Runelords campaign. There are a couple of spoilers for the adventure path, so listen at your own risk.
I have a slew of voice messages about my last episode, but I wasn't in the right head space to play them in this episode. I'll get to them next time. I promise.
Jason of Nerd's RPG Variety Cast was kind enough to leave me some messages about the upcoming Dune movie. Turns out I have stuff to say about it, too.
With the world being as messed up and scary as it is today, this quote from Dune is more true now than ever before;
"Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me."
Here I go again on my own. Going down the only road I've ever known. Although, unlike a drifter, I apparently was not born to walk alone because a bunch of super rad people called me. So I made up my mind to share them with you.

Just a quick status report of my effort to learn and implement Roll20 as someone with a visual disability.
It's been awhile but I'm back, for better or for worse. I've played a lot of games since last we spoke and I want to talk about them. I've played Pathfinder 1E, Monster Hearts, and D&D 5E. This was the most I've played in a row since I was probably 14 years old and it's been awesome! I'm also lucky enough to have a handful of rad call in's that I want to share, then I make a big(?), possibly-not gonna-happen, announcement.
