Maybe the relationship is the thing. Pursuit is a place designed around relationships, we believe it's core to how we should relate. If we want to be a church that cares, we need to remember we are the church and we need to be in community caring for the people Jesus loves.
This week, Pastor Aaron starts us off with looking at why younger generations are leaving the church so quickly and how that reflects our need to get back to the CHURCH Jesus called us to be.

As we celebrate freedom and independence as Americans, make sure you consider the tension Christians are called to live in. We are called to give away ourselves as servants even in our freedom. We are not called to independence but to lives of dependence on God and his people. Ask yourself have I made myself a servant to the world around me and do I live a dependent lifestyle, relying on God and his people?
Can’t wait to see you all face to face next week at the park!

The Bible calls us to more than simply believing in Jesus' existence- we are called to believe ON HIM. We need to stop fighting, ignoring and trying to mute our spiritual hunger and start PURSUING Jesus as the Bread of Life.

This week in our Generous series we look at finances and the priorities we have in our lives. The Bible tells us to give, that we cannot argue, but we believe that God is more concerned that you give FIRST and with a JOYFUL HEART than the amount you give. Are you making God a priority in your life?

When is the last time you asked yourself why you do what you do in your walk with God? The answer to that "why" is often the difference between following the Law of religion and accepting the grace offered in the new testament. The New Covenant that Jesus made with us is based on doing things because we LOVE Him- not in order to earn anything.

It’s that time of year again. We say goodbye to the Lakes, close the cabins and focus on the fresh starts and new rhythms of the fall. It’s a great time to reassess everything. "New" will be a 4 week series where we look at what the Bible has to teach us about reimagining some of the basics of the faith. This week we are looking at 2 Corinthians 5 and what our mission is as believers.

The church was never meant to be a place where you sneak into the back row and leave without a significant connection. Jesus calls us to more, He paints a picture of a church that is known by the way we love "one another"(John 13:35). The way we do community should speak to our community. We believe both an inward and outward focus on community is what the church should be all about.

We are all sinners in need of a savior and we believe our hope rests only in the person and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All of history built towards Him and now testifies to who Jesus is and what he did for humanity. Everything was created through him and is being reconciled to him, including us! The gospel is central to what we do and how we do it. Jesus left us with a message (the gospel) and a mission (make disciples) and so we keep Jesus' good news in the foreground.

We are completely enamored with the idea of connecting with lost people. Jesus, again and again, went out of his way to love and surprise lost people with grace. We want to be students of our culture, looking for opportunities to share the good news in new and novel ways. We will continue to change our methods and do whatever we can to reach people who don't know Jesus. Outward focus is a posture that will drive our language, decisions and vision.

As humans we tend to focus on prioritizing what is important and often God is one of those things. What if God wasn't an item n that list but the list itself? We can worship God in everything we do, anywhere that we are. How have you worshiped God today?

Jesus changed the game when he gave His disciples a new command to love one another the way He was going to love them. In doing so, He called them to create a community that would draw people in. The way we relate to one another says so much about who Jesus is. Are you leaning into community or choosing isolation?
