We must actively build God's kingdom together. When people confronted Jesus with their interpretations of God's laws, He reminded them that: “any kingdom divided by civil war cannot stand” and “a tree is identified by its fruit.”

We must “live for the line, not for the dot”. The kingdom, the power, and the glory are God's forever and ever, whether we like it or not. When “amen” and live out this truth, we are happier and able to make our lives count eternally.

We must forgive to be forgiven. As we re-sync ourselves daily with our Heavenly Father, we must daily make sure that nothing is separating us from Him. We must confess and repent of our own sins, forgive others, and choose love and unity daily.

Admit that what's wrong is wrong. Forgiveness is NOT defensiveness, denial, or apathy. When we confess our sins, we surrender to God's unique authority to define, punish, and forgive. Repentance realigns us with His will in every way.

Trust God to do the right thing. The principles of forgiveness are the same when we sin against God, we sin against others, when others sin against us, and when God's people try to fix something that sin broke.

Big changes can be made by several little changes over time. Too much focus on a one-time decision reduces the gospel to a plan of forgiveness without discipleship. Jesus said “make disciples.”

All who are called to salvation are called to discipleship. Living as a disciple is part of our salvation experience. A disciple commits to follow the will of God in living his/her life. We are not only saved from the consequences of sin, we are saved for new life as well as eternal life.

For a disciple, Jesus is not only Savior, he is our Lord. Jesus determines the purpose, direction, and character of our lives. We can't fulfill God's purpose for our lives while focusing on our own desires and plans.

The most neglected discipline is making disciples. Do it like Jesus—“Come follow me.” The main requirement is to love others like Jesus loved us. Form relationships with the heart of Jesus. Live life together. Share the good news of differences Christ has made and is making in your life.

Fear of suffering makes us obsessed with safety, clinging to the illusion of control. SLOTH (laziness) literally means unstrung (as in a bow that's not ready to be used) or deceitful (not as good as it seems). Sloth keeps us at others' mercy—even if we are in a position of leadership.
We must break free from Sloth and focus on Wisdom (tangibly living out the best possible choices) and Diligence (consistent, relentless work, over time). Hard work leads to success; it's not the nerdy pastime of adults. Laziness leads to hunger and slavery; it's not our cute, fun birthright. Long-term investments and payos were part of God's original design, not the curse!

LUST also turns natural and even holy desires into dangerous cravings and actions that destroy relationships instead of build them. Lust destroys our ability to love others as people and their ability to fully trust, respect, and love us. Lust trades intimacy for brief, unsatisfying, and lonely sexual experiences. Feeding lust creates habits and addictions that can derail all our relationships.
We must break free from Lust and focus on Chastity (purity, especially sexual purity) and Love (putting others' needs and desires rst). Both produce people who see others as people, not objects and serve them in healthy, practical ways. True love doesn't ask what you can get out of someone, but what you can do to bless them.

WRATH counterfeits righteous anger but—unlike God's wrath—it never results in true justice. Our wrath is selsh and uncontrolled. It blinds us, leading us to measure God Himself against our views of right and wrong and our anger as a justication for anything. It ends us hurting the angry person even more than those they hurt.
We must break free from Wrath and focus on Patience (waiting for a certain time and a certain purpose) and Justice (making God's will happen on earth). While never cruel, selsh, or arbitrary, righteous anger does help destroy dishonest and cruel systems and defend the powerless from their oppressors. It creates change—not just a meaningless display or punishment.

Generosity concentrates on people who has less than we do rather than things we don't have. Peace includes freedom from bitterness when we feel slighted. It also includes a natural, deep joy and contentment.

Strategically combining theme heals and restores our hearts as much as gluttony destroys them.

If discipling were a tree, the roots would be the need to be like Jesus and His command to follow Him and make disciples. The trunk would be teaching disciples to obey everything He commanded—beginning with baptism. The branches would be actually doing those things—baptizing, teaching, obeying, mentoring, and making more disciples who make more disciples—and the fruit would be His presence and power with us, an ever-growing group of disciples, and true transformation.

If worship were a tree, the roots would be the glory of God—how deserving He is of our praise and pledges of allegiance. The trunk of the tree would be anything He specifically says or requires about worship, plus a little wiggle room for our personal gifts, preferences, facilities, etc. The branches would then be what we actually DO, how we worship, and the fruit would be God experiencing joy and us experiencing deep fellowship with Him and with each other.

Music is a tangible, physical, effective way to express our respect and surrender—and God does like it! Throughout the scriptures, people are writing and singing songs. If leadership were at tree, the roots AND the branches would be “taking someone from ___ to ___” or “taking someone out of ___ into ___.” Leadership is an action, not a position. The trunk of the tree is responsibility, and the fruit is results and more leaders. Elders primarily lead spiritually and deacons primarily serve, and both have specific qualifications. Still, ALL true leadership is rooted in responsibility and a desire to serve. We are all somehow called to be servant leaders.

SALT flavors, preserves, and creates a craving. Our job is to make people want more of Jesus.
LIGHT reveals, illuminates, guides, and directs attention. Our job is to keep the spotlight on Jesus.

Lazarus thought Jesus had abandoned him, but Jesus brought him back to life.
Zacchaeus couldn't get to Jesus because His other followers and Zacchaeus's own guilt was in the way, but Jesus saved his life.
Mary was feeling called to worship Jesus in a more sacrificial, trusting, and intimate way than those around her. Jesus loved it—and loved her for it.
Jerusalem broke Jesus's heart, but He crafted the perfect scene to create a craving for salvation and a focus on Him—the only true Savior.
The Temple was a place to connect with God and make others crave Him. Jesus leveraged His moment in the spotlight to make both happen again—and THEN the curtain was torn from top to bottom.
How do you need Jesus to save you today?
No sickness, doubt, fear, questions, guilt, anger—nothing can keep Jesus from saving us except us. We must be the SALT and LIGHT that draws others to Him and surrender whatever we are holding back so He can save us from that!

The ApMa Project exists to enable, educate, train, and equip the local people of the ApMa language. More specifically, they target individuals that through training, will eventually takeover their duties. In essence, they are trying to work themselves out of a job. Good and Bad Fathers
Our concept of God as a father is formed first by earthly fathers. Negative views of fathers is also influenced by the entertainment industry.

The Lord disciplines the one he loves. God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. Earthly fathers should follow Christ's example as a father. The more spiritually mature we become, the more childlike we become.

God wants us to have fellowship with Him and with each other.
Fellowship is built around a shared purpose. Everyone is devoted to their vision and to each other.
In the Acts 2 church, there were simply believers and non-believers.
All the believers met together daily and sharedeverything they had.
The basics about God and money:
- 1) God owns it all. We are just stewards. Luke 3:11-13, Proverbs 3:5-6
- 2) God loves first fruits. Genesis 4:3-7, Proverbs 3:9, Mark 12:41-44

Acts 2:42 (NLT) All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer.
The apostles' teaching was based on first-hand , Eye-witness accounts.
