Do you struggle with your goals and just don’t know where to begin?  It  can be frustrating to start something and seem that you never have the follow through to complete.

Over the past few weeks we have discussed the pillars to mastering discipline over 40.  Today we wrap up with our 4th pillar execution, which is supported by our faith, intention and relationships.

You can’t achieve discipline without the F.I.R.E.

Do you know that the things that we don’t address will persist?  It can be scary to apologize and admit our faults.  But, first go to God and seek his forgiveness so you gain the strength to seek it from other whether it is received or not.

Healing through relationships is challenging, remember they are or so worth, because no matter what anyone else says you can’t make it alone.

Do you struggle with relationships?  Have you been hurt and now you keep yourself guarded?  I have done this for many years and I used to think it was ok because I only did it to people on the outside.  However, I realized that I was actually more guarded in the relationships with the people that were closest to me.

This week in our 1st episode of our 2 part relationship pillar we discuss the hurt that we have experienced from relationships.

Do you ever make plans and then something comes up?  I'm sure your saying, "uh, yeah girl all the time!"  Well that has been happening to me over and over again this year!  However, I've been able to continue to see progress in my life because I'm learning to not be so rigid and to adapt and modify, where I can.

Sometimes, as we get older we become so set in our ways to our own detriment.  Our ability to be flexible will give a space and opportunity to move forward in the face of challenges.

What are you ashamed of? If you are human you are going to make mistakes. That being said sometimes the mistakes we make impact the lives of others and we may be hurting those relationships, because we are afraid of apologizing. I was in the place but because of the urging of the Holy Spirit I was able to apologize to someone who means the world. I hope you find the encouragement from this episode to become more vulnerable so that you can be free and set someone us free in the process.

Shame is something that we all struggle with at some point in our lives. It can be paralyzing and keep you from moving forward in your life in a positive way.

Breaking Free by Beth Moore has 2 chapters that speak directly to the shame that I experienced which was a result of childhood victimization. She speaks from a Christian perspective to address this trauma.

In order to move from surviving to thriving you must acknowledge the pain from your past to live an unashamed life.
