Join me, along with some of our dedicated disciples from Kingdom Life Christian Ministries, as we explore the "Gifts of the Spirit." Today's episode focuses on the "word of wisdom" and the "word of knowledge," examining how these gifts are crucial to the Church's growth and impact. Tune in to gain deeper insights into how these spiritual gifts can empower you to fulfill your purpose and help advance God's Kingdom.
When you set out to do the right thing, there are so many things that will try and stop you from being consistent--fatigue, achievements of yesterday, frustration, soreness, demands of people, your own pride, and much more. Consistency keeps you on course.
There is a difference between commitment and discipline. Commitment is an agreement or pledge to do something in the future. Discipline means to train or develop by instruction; it’s a system of rules governing conduct or activity. To train, you must repetitively apply certain actions that will help condition your behavior.
It's time to cultivate discipline!
Principle 5: Commit!
It’s one thing to start and another to stay committed to what you’ve started. Sometimes that can be the biggest frustration. There’s a popular inspirational quote that says, “If you hate starting over, stop quitting.” What you wrote down and started is going to challenge your commitment.
You’ve never seen anyone finish anything they didn’t start. You’ve used the excuse of “I’ll start on Monday” or “I’ll begin tomorrow.” You’ve even said, “I’ll get started when I get everything in order.” A plan is very important, but nobody lost weight by just planning. Overcome procrastination by taking the first step and start!
In this empowerment session we talk about the importance of Writing It Down! Ideas that are manifested in the earth follow this process. First, you think about an idea. Next, you communicate the idea. Last, you act upon what you communicated. But first, you must WRITE. IT. DOWN!
Discovering that one thing that FUELS everything else will serve as your compass, guiding you towards the exploration, cultivation, and fulfillment of YOUR "why."
Are you a grasshopper or a giant slayer? You can't say you believe God is going to help you do something and not change your approach because your approach determines the application of your faith. Your self-perception plays a pivotal role in shaping your approach towards each day and determining the goals you aspire to achieve.
When God sees us , He desires to deal with us on the basis of our birthright (who we are in Christ) and not the frailty of our humanity that He has saved and rescued us from. Who we are in Christ is where our life is centered and empowered.
Paul refers to our journey as followers of Christ as a walk. In this walk God never intended for us to make this journey in our own strength. Jesus the lamb of God was given not only to save us from our sin but to be the life within us, from whom we make the journey! And unless we not only apply the blood to our life, but consume His life, we will remain stuck in the place of our captivity longing to experience the freedom that only Christ can bring!
