What is the definition of a beautiful mess? Fitness and beauty that reveals your real age.

Check out this episode to discover more...

Chris Gibson Story: I try to approach all aspects on my life within the 3 principles SPIRIT has directed me to do so over the course of many years starting in my late teens. Physicality, Mentality, and Spirituality. I like to call this the Triad of Earth School learning. My early life focus was on my (PHYSICALITY) health problems I encountered at a young age. Born premature and club footed, I often joke I was already off on the wrong foot to begin with. I also have battled dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (MENTALITY), and chronic problems in particular, including self-esteem shattering skin issues like severe acne. Like many people, I discovered healing though a kind of spirit guidance which is what happened with me (SPIRITUALITY). Modern medicine was of absolutely NO HELP! I was forced to research and seek alternatives and so I found myself guided to the answers.

I have led a life of very good health ever since! Those answers healed and helped me, and years later eventually became the basis for my first extremely successful book “Acne Free in Three Days”. I suddenly found myself on radio and major TV shows eventually landing on the Lifestyle circuit. I was able to be a part of high-level conversations about skincare and others such as addiction, childhood obesity, and teenage self-esteem. The information I shared was helping a lot (thousands) of people. I am forever grateful for the Acne book’s success but more so the sharing of information that really helps people. I have been doing this ever since! It is how I am called to serve others and I am passionate about it. Check out my YouTube channel Chris Gibson Live! for my TV appearances and tip videos! There always something to learn there.

Courageous Conversations with Sheree welcomes the co-authors of Adult 'N My Childhood Pain!!! "You cannot get over it; without going through it." Five of six very courageous women join Sheree in creating a safe space to share and to heal.

Tune in this week Thursday on 107.5 FM or WRUU.org to witness their bravery.

Adult 'N My Childhood Pain is an anthology of six women (Inas S. Bilal, Shanna Ingram-Jones, Chiletta Marie, Totisha L. Phelps, LaShonna T. Springs, and Inesha N. Thomas). Although these women in this book may not have the same story, they share the same pain. The setting of this book takes place in five different therapy sessions. Five of the authors are clients, and the sixth is the therapist. These courageous women have allowed themselves to relive their childhood traumas so that they could heal from the inside out. Experiencing life as a mother gave them a vast understanding of generational curses and mental health. Each author highlights how their childhood trauma has played a role in their adult lives, maybe by how they may have parented, handle romantic relationships, better yet, how they interact with people as a whole. Either way, their past showed up in their adult lives. In this day in time we live in, we have to stop going along to get along to allow ourselves to heal genuinely. To do so, we have to first acknowledge and accept the dysfunctions that have been buried deep down inside. We also have to stop normalizing the trauma and making excuses. The only way to make that happen is to go backward to move forward organically. These are the steps these women used to heal themselves wholeheartedly. This book is filled with stories you don't want to miss.

Courageous Conversations with Sheree welcomes the Founder of "BlackOut Day 2020" Calvin Martyr, Savannah Coordinator, Natalie Leggette and guest William Lee, Jr. Tune in to hear exactly what it is and what it is not. Join us this Thursday on 107.5 FM or WRUU.org.

Blackout Day 2020 movement encourages supporters to use “economic power” to fight racial injustice. Texas resident Calvin Martyr wants to bring the black community together in economic solidarity through a nationwide movement called Blackout 2020.

The death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody has struck a chord in the hearts of Americans concerned about the mistreatment of black residents in the United States.

The Facebook group #BlackoutDay2020 was created May 8, but since Floyd’s death on May 25, the private group has rapidly grown to more than 720,000 members as people search for peaceable ways to spark change.

And it continues to gain tens of thousands of new members each day.

The movement focuses on July 7, 2020, a day when supporters have committed to only spending money at black-owned businesses; this includes banks, grocery stores, gas stations, hair salons and all forms of commerce.

"We're going to not spend our dollars in the economy," Martyr says in a video explaining his mission. "I believe, we believe, that if we unite enough people for one day to not spend their dollars, it will make an impact in the economy, and they will take notice."

Courageous Conversations with Sheree welcomes returning guest Author Ayanna Mills Gallow and five fellow co-authors. Listen in as they share how to overcome secrets, sadness and shame successfully. Join us this Thursday on 107.5 FM or WRUU.org.

American Evangelist and International #1 Best Selling Author, Ayanna Mills Gallow, has announced the launch of her book: "Free From Silence: 12 Success Stories of Overcoming Secrets, Sadness, and Shame".

The book is an anthology co-authored by other gifted writers such as Amika Reynolds, M.D., Dr. Adrienne Michelle Horn, Brian E. Lewis, Pastor Cassandra Brown, Chanel Rose Budd, Cylia Williams-Staton, D. Arlando Fortune, Dr. Janell Jones, Kisha L. Clarke, Larsche Reaves, and Sharita Davis.

The book gives its readers the tips and tools used by the authors who are successful Doctoral students, Doctors, Educators, Life Coaches, Ministers, and Professionals. The authors reveal their secrets, sadness, and shame so that readers can succeed and be Free From Silence.

Speaking about the book, Ayanna Gallow said: "What if I told you children from broken homes become the most successful adults? This is hard to believe because social media portrays perfect people who prosper. However, this book proves that imperfect people triumph over tragedy".

The book comprises 12 non-fiction transformational stories that will give the youth preventive measures, solutions for women's struggles, and principals for personal development and growth. According to Ayanna Gallow: "If you are afraid to ask, "How do I go on?" or "How will I make it through the storm," then this book is for you."

The authors break their silence on going through social vices such as abuse, addiction, death, debt, depression, divorce, dysfunction, dyslexia, incarceration, and sickness. The authors give a transparent view of the causes and effects of their past problems and how they bounced back to become successful.

Ayanna Mills Gallow overcame silence from childhood trauma and found her voice becoming a best-selling author. It is her goal to help people avoid living in shame so that they will not suffer in silence. She believes that transparency is the key to eliminate guilt and shame because it fosters peace and freedom.

Free From Silence was inspired by the visionary author's best-selling devotional, God & Hip Hop, a 21-day biblical devotional inspired by Hip Hip. The visionary author received several testimonials about how God & Hip Hop helped others as a result of her personal transformation. Therefore, she compiled a novel based on 12 transformational stories to help even more people.

The book was forwarded by Kevin T. Robertson (KTR)

This week on Courageous Conversations with Sheree we welcome Rhonda G. Mincey Founder and Executive Director of Great Youth, Inc. Tune in and hear how Rhonda's random encounter with a little girl impacted the trajectory of her own life which began this movement of impacting others. Hi! I’m Rhonda G. Mincey. By profession, I empower youths and adults to live their best lives. But personally, I am passion personified and inspiration in action.

I am passionate about inspiring people to live a life of greatness. I’ve established program in schools that have challenged the mindsets and changed the behavior of thousands of girls. To help my teenage daughter navigate those challenging, critical teen years, I authored a book, "A Girls Guide to Being Great.” Little did I know that the book would be used to launch the girls’ program, “The Great Girls Club” and be read by hundreds of girls in several school districts.

As the founder and Executive Director of Great Youth, Inc., a nonprofit youth enrichment program, I aim to transform youths into leaders, mentors, and role models. But I am also thrilled to speak to and conduct workshops for college students and adults on how to make deliberate decisions to attain higher levels of success. Some call me a "late-bloomer" because I obtained my college degrees decades after graduating from high school. But I graduated with a Master’s in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Crime, earning numerous honors and making significant connections with my professors. Now, my petals are a sight to behold: I am a college professor, author, entrepreneur, consultant, life strategist, poet, community leader, philanthropist, girl guru, legacy leaver, and giver of hope.

Through my company, Great Success, LLC, I equip others for action and empower them for life. My goal is to continue to inspire others not only to be life-long learners, but life-changers as well. I am the recipient of several awards, including Armstrong State University’s Service Award and Turner Broadcasting System’s prestigious Pathfinders Award.

Thu. 1 pm EDT- This week on Courageous Conversations with Sheree, I welcome back Jennifer Glass. Today it’s a difficult but necessary topic. Join us and hear for yourself. 10/31/2019.

Outspoken, bold, and witty, Jenn is the woman who will make you laugh and speak the truth in love, even when it’s tough. She’s the Program &

Fundraising Coordinator for Help of Beaufort, and Director of Mobile Meals, north of the Broad. Her experience in nonprofits has taught her

how structure and develop individual programs from the ground up.

As a survivor of domestic abuse and loss, Jenn took a life that was broken and dissected it. With painful introspection, honesty, and a

lot of research and hard work Jenn was able to not only map out the poor life choices that brought her to a broken place, but also

redesign her life into one peace, joy, and fulfillment. She’s using what she learned to develop a life skills class that addresses the

poor habits and choices women often make as a result of trauma, abuse, and neglect throughout childhood. Knocking down negative beliefs, self

destructive behaviors, and teaching basic life skills, she is determined to change lives.

Thu. 1 pm EDT – This week on Courageous Conversations with Sheree, it’s another double hitter with Two Time Indie Music Channel Awards Winner and Savannah native Willie Jackson!!! Like Blues, Country and Gospel? Join us and listen LIVE! Willie Jackson is a native son of Savannah, GA; 10/24/2019

Willie Jackson is a native son of Savannah, GA; the youngest of the 6 children born to the late, great Reverend Jackson and, his wife, Annie Pearl originally from Millen Georgia. Willie’s early years in church had him well-acquainted with music as vital to the human experience; he often found himself playing drums, singing in choirs, raising hymns and providing whatever music was necessary – whether or not he had the training! Willie has always been a songwriter in his free time while working to support his family. A tragic accident in 2009 ended his previous career and left him differently abled. Willie found himself with an above-the-knee amputation, and though he had spent his life until that point as an active athletic man, he saw this life-changing event as an opportunity to reinvent himself rather than sit out on life. He began to write in earnest and started learning bass guitar.

Willie’s original music combines his clever lyrics with rhythms of South Georgia’straditional soul stirring blues. He can be heard at various venues in the Coastal Empire; sometimes with a three-piece group while other times he has 4 or 5 musicians accompany his powerful blues vocals. He has entertained on the stage at the beautifully refurbished Tybee Post Theater, was a featured artist at the 2019 Piccolo Spoleto Festival as well as at the 22nd Carolina Downhome Blues Festival and opened for Mac Arnold, former bass player for the legendary Muddy Waters and accomplished blues musician in his own right, at the Stage on Bay.

Willie is currently in the studio working on a full-length CD of original blues music. His original “I’m Your Landlord” won him two awards at the 2019 Indie Music ChannelAwards (@ Clive Davis Arena at the Grammy Museum in L.A.) for both Best Blues Song and Best Blues Song Writer! This award-winning song, which humorously narrates the behaviors of a shady landlord, exemplifies rocking traditional blues sounds and will be included on his new CD expected to be released soon. Currently, he has an EP available featuring six original songs which pair elements of traditional blues with musings on contemporary life and living. Willie enjoys performing live every bit as much as the audiences enjoy his outstanding vocals sometimes used for on-the-spot improvisational song writing, and his jocular MC engagement between songs. He has a knack for ensuring people have a good time and creating an intimate, familiar feeling amidst a venue of strangers. Live performances treat listeners to covers of some of the greats like Muddy Waters, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton along with Willie’s latest original songs. Willie is a prolific songwriter, wordsmithing songs across genres – blues, country and gospel. He looks forward to future opportunities.

What happens when you put a mic in the hand of a 6’3″, 220 lb boxer? You get an Indie Music Channel Award Winning Artist!

Tracy Rucker– better known as TKO or Triple Knockout is making waves in the music industry locally and abroad.

He joins us with more on his music, his mission, and what motivates him.

Born Tracy Rucker in Bartow, Florida and a child of a hardened military family, T.K.O. spent his youth in tow traveling the world while furtively tuning an ear to music. By the age of 19, he had lived in more than fifteen states, from the southeast to New York, and spent his most memorable time outside the states in Germany where his father was stationed on two separate assignments. “Living in Germany was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I got an appreciation for the culture; the people were kind and welcomed somebody like me – someone who was completely different.”

This nomadic lifestyle didn’t afford T.K.O. any level of comfort or contentment in his surroundings; a factor of his youth responsible for his lifelong, adrenaline addiction (his drug of choice) and risk-taking drive. What it did allow him was to establish residency in music making. He spent his every waking minute rapping and beating on anything in his path to tap into his passion for drumming which (much like Pharrell) led T.K.O. to become a percussionist in a variety of school music programs. Drumline along with legends such as AI Green and The Supremes (the icons of his parents liking), and transitional living fostered T.K.O.'s strong sense of respect for others and the desire to serve and protect those close to him.

A champion in athletics, the arts, and human behavior, T.K.O. dedicates his physical and artistic field of energy to the creation of a better world. In spite of his imposing frame and intimidating presence, his formidable strength makes it undeniably clear... there is beauty in the beast.
