Have you ever been so fascinated with a moment in history? Whether it be the American Revolution or World War 2. Or have you become infatuated with a specific person who's made history such as Anne Frank or Amelia Earhart? Is it something or someone famous or is the story and person nearly forgotten and lost in time? This is History; Famous and Forgotten.
The Newsboy Strike of 1899 was a children's strike in New York City against two of the most powerful publishers, Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst. The strike lasted for only two weeks and is mainly forgotten but the Newsboy strike inspired other strikes years later and has a lasting legacy as a musical.
Bonnie and Clyde were a couple and outlaws who became infamous for their crime spree from 1932-1934 of robbing stores and banks and claiming 13 lives, many being law enforcement officers. They captivated the public eye from then to now and have since become highly romanticized in history.
