Welcome back to another episode of Igniting Vxces. In this episode, Stephanie and Denise introduce our first guests on the show. Sh'Nea Griggs a KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy alumn, and our colleague, KIPP Through College Persistence Advisor, Kailee Glover. Stephanie and Denise discuss the challenges faced by black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) in the mental health sector. Sh'Nea and Kailee share their stories in regards to what challenges they have faced when working on their mental health and what advice they have for students who may be struggling to ask for help.

KIPP is partnering with AYANA therapy to provide weekly counseling sessions for KIPP alumni for up to 6 months. AYANA offers clinical 1:1 counseling. This is free to all KIPP alumni.

Hello to everyone! Welcome to our first episode where we have a dialogue about the BLM. As Latinx folks, we know how crucial it is to support our black community during these critical times. We have a duty to continue to demand justice and advocate for anti-racism movement. Change starts at home and it’s this episode we talk about the conversation that we’ve had with our friends and family about what is happening with the BLM movement. We welcome you to listen and make the pledge to speak up about the importance of what BLACK LIVES MATTERS mean.

In this episode, we have Denise, Daisy, Benjamin, and myself Stephanie who share their experience initiating a conversation with family and friends about the BLM movement and the significance of standing as allies.
