I tried something I would usually only do for class: a narrative style sermon from the point of view of St. Mark in celebration of his Feast Day. With a resurgence of interest in “The Chosen,” with its second season debuting, I found desire in the hearts of the hearers to hear this genre of preaching. I think it came out edifying and an emotional insight into Mark’s heart. His struggles with reconciliation, the divinity and humanity of Christ, and his faith walk are points of his testimony. All in all, his message is one of forgiveness, and that the Kingdom is here, repent and believe in Jesus’ word and promise!
