What if God has been speaking to you your whole life, and you just hadn't recognised it? In this personal message, Markus shares two remarkable stories, his own journey from growing up in a remote Thai village to church planting in Eastern Germany with his own family and looks at the biblical story of young Samuel hearing God's voice in the night. Together, these stories carry a central truth; when you follow Jesus and say 'wherever you want me to go, I'll go', God will direct your life in ways you never could have planned yourself. Whether you're 9 or 90, God is speaking, the question is: are you listening? This message is for anyone who wants to follow Jesus more deeply, discover God's direction for their life and be inspired by what God is doing through ordinary, willing people around the world. You'll be encouraged, challenged and moved by what happens when a family simply says yes to God.
Do you ever feel like your relationship with God has become more about doing than being? Reading lists, prayer requests, Bible studies, which are all good things, but what if there's something deeper available to you?In this message, we explore what Jesus means when he calls himself the Bread of Life in John chapter 6, and what it looks like to truly draw on that life in the everyday rhythms of our week.Using the beautiful Māori tradition of the 'hongi', the intimate pressing together of foreheads and noses as a gesture of shared breath, we discover a picture of what God is actually inviting us into: not just a routine, but a genuine, close, life-giving communion with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You'll be encouraged to find a new rhythm in your life, one that makes space to be still, to simply enjoy God's company, and to let his life be woven deeply into yours.Whether you're feeling spiritually strong or completely worn out, this message will remind you that God's arms are wide open, and he is waiting for you.Key themes covered:- Jesus as the Bread of Life (John 6)- The practice of solitude and stillness with God- Isaiah 40:31 - waiting on the Lord and renewing your strength- The Trinity and being woven into God's life- Finding a new spiritual rhythm to go deeper with God- Psalm 46:10 -Be still and know that I am God
What if prayer wasn't just something you did inside four walls, but something you took out onto the streets? In this practical sermon, Rai unpacks the heart behind prayer walking, drawing from Jeremiah 29:7 and Luke 10, and showing us how God is already at work in our communities, and how we can join Him.You'll discover:— What prayer walking actually is (and why it's simpler than you think)— Why God already loves your neighbourhood more than you know— How to pray with open eyes, open ears, and an open heart— The three simple aims: Look, Listen, Love— Why there's no pressure, the Holy Spirit is your helper— How to have natural conversations and share your faith story— What to do after a prayer walk to capture what God showed youWhether you've never prayer walked before or you're looking to go deeper in intercession for your city, this message will inspire, equip, and send you out with fresh faith and boldness. This talk from Jubilee Church is part of a community prayer walking initiative in Derby, UK. The Trinity Centre is based in a community that's been under-resourced for a long time and faces real economic and social challenges. In this message from Matthew 9:35–38, we discover that Jesus wasn't simply being obedient or fulfilling a duty, he was moved by something far deeper: compassion. This sermon explores what it means to see people the way Jesus saw them, harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd, and how that same compassion can become the heartbeat of our own lives and calling. You'll hear some real-life stories of compassion in action through fostering, neighbourly kindness, and everyday moments of grace that show what it looks like when God's love is put into practice.Whether you feel naturally compassionate or not, this message will challenge and inspire you to ask God to break your heart with the things that break His, and to step out into the harvest field He's calling you towards. This is a message for anyone who wants to move beyond going through the motions of faith and discover a deeper, love-fuelled motivation for following Jesus.

In this deeply personal sermon, Nat shares her raw, honest story of growing up with an abusive and rejecting father - and the long, often painful journey of discovering that God is nothing like him. From refusing to sing the word 'father' in worship songs, to writing on her office wall 'I WILL know God as my father,' this message traces a remarkable journey from hurt and abandonment to healing and belonging.Whether you've had a difficult relationship with your earthly father, been let down by a leader or authority figure, or simply struggled to experience God's love in a deep and personal way - this sermon is for you. You'll discover:- Why God is exactly who he says he is - and why that changes everything- How God rewrites the labels of rejection, hatred, and worthlessness over your life- What it truly means to be wanted, delighted in, and fathered by God- How healing comes - not in an instant, but through the tender care of a good, good FatherThis is one of those messages that stays with you. What are you holding on to — and is it actually holding you up?In this preach, we explore one of the most honest questions we can ask ourselves: where is my hope, and what am I building my life on?Using the metaphor of grip strength, this message unpacks why we so easily cling to money, success, relationships, and achievement, and why those things always fall short. Drawing from Matthew 6, we look at what Jesus says about earthly treasures versus heavenly ones, and why hope in him changes absolutely everything. This sermon was preached during a baby dedication service, making it deeply personal, touching on parenting, identity, purpose, fear, and the longing we all carry for something more lasting.Whether you're a committed Christian wanting to go deeper, someone who's been burned by putting hope in the wrong things, or simply curious about what the Bible says about meaning and purpose, this message is for you. You'll be encouraged to ask: What do I need to let go of? Imagine with me for a moment that you are out on a sailing boat, on your own, in the most fantastic location. It’s a glorious day, the sun is beating down, there’s blue sky all around. You’re simply enjoying being on your own, it’s peaceful and quiet. You are slowly sailing between different islands, when suddenly, unexpectedly, the weather turns and there’s a storm! There’s rain, thunder and lightening, the waves are choppy and the boat begins to break up and you find yourself shipwrecked and marooned on a desert island. You don’t get a chance to save much from the boat. You can’t even grab your Bible which you’ve been reading, you are only able to tear out one page before the boat sinks completely.I wonder what page might you tear out? What passage of scripture would be the one that you save, if you had the chance? Our summer preaching series this year is called Desert Island Delights and we’re asking that very question. If you could save just one page from your Bible, what would it be and why? We’ve got a variety of speakers over the summer and they’re going to be sharing what their favourite passages are, why they’re important to them, what we can learn from those passages and why they should be important to us as well!So I do hope you can join us across the summer Sundays at QUAD in Derby for our summer preaching series - Desert Island Delights…

As it becomes more wonderful, incredible, lovely, awesome to us, we start to love the things that Jesus loves. God’s putting a love in our hearts for the world, motivated by our love for Christ. The love of Christ compels us! A love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.
