CFB Playoff
Picks
The bengals game last thursday night is pretty much old news by a monday, but our last show was that morning, so we havent talked about it here on dialed in…….we will today.
It was an amazing game to watch. The highs and lows….the back and forth.
An offense which for alot of the night was breathtaking and for other parts, quite puzzling.
The defense which was so solid in the first half suffred a collapse of epic proportion in the second half.
Bottom line is baltimore sweeps the season series……lamar goes to 10-2 against the bengals and the record sits at 4-6.
Having sais that, the bengals are in a tie for the final wild card spot with indy…..INDY? PLAYOFFS?The colts hold a tie break edge, but this season is by no means over…..we will talk about that.
Then there’s college football…….
Unbeaten Miami goes down.
Georgia looked awful in a loss to surging ole miss.
Ohio State rolled.
Indiana got it’s first major scare and was led by great defense in a win over michigan.
The first CFB playoff ramkings were released last week.
We will tell you who we believe should be in TODAY!
The Bengals are back at it this sunday as they welcome the las vegas raiders to town for a one pm kickoff at paycor stadium.
Cincinnati is more than a touchdown favorite in the game.
The raiders might be the most injured team in the nfl this season.
They’ve lost a quarterback, five starers on defense and multiple injuried along the offensive line.
The Bengals have their own issues on offense….we still don’t know about orlando brown or tee higgins availability for Sunday.
Brown played in spurts last week while higgins was not on the field at all.
Say this for the raiders…they do have the 11th-ranked defense in the league so far in yards allowed, yet rank near the bottom in scoring defense.
Alot of that has to do with the offense turning it over .
Gardner minshew is the vegas quarterback after initially losing his job to aiden o”connell to injury.
Boys, the bottom line is….this is the season.
We’ve said that alot already but you lose this game and it’s over.
Win, and your back to one game under with the ravens up next.

PICKS- Last week and this week.
Talk UC- Ohio State world series with Casey Short show today
I don’t know about you, but this one FELT different.
Yes, the bengals have lost games where they should’ve won. Lost to teams they should’ve beaten, but in each of those I felt like a rebound would occur.
I’m not so sure anymore…this one felt different.
They play 60 minutes in a football game and for the first 40, it was a tie game…. A win to get to .500 right there for the taking .
But over the last 20 minutes the eagles scored 20 points….and did it in overwhelming fashion.
They bullied the cincinnati Bengals.
In the air…on the ground…in toughness.
And i don’t know about you but now there are legitimate questions about this team and this franchise moving forward.
Joe Burrow said its possible to win 7 of the last 9 games….
Do you honestly believe that?
Does HE honestly believe that?

Joe Burrow said every game is of the upmost importance and he’s right ….
When you start at 0-3, you’re constantly clawing to get back to .500.
It’s true in every sport….you cant even think about the playoffs if you’re not .500.
They’ve won 3 of their last 4 and a win gets you back to .500.
How good are the eagles? Eagle fans are asking the same thing.
Many say the eagles are the bengals of the nfc….
Big expectations….gross inconsistency.
Lets get right to it fellas…

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game Jon Hoefling USA TODAY At 2-4, the Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL, but they haven't been nearly as disappointing as Deshaun Watson has been for the Cleveland Browns. Despite boasting a remarkable defense and a group of solid players on offense (even after sending Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills), the Browns have a 1-5 record and virtually no hope of crawling out of the AFC North's basement. While a win over Cincinnati this weekend would move Cleveland to third in the division, that's a very hollow victory for a team that reached the playoffs with Joe Flacco at quarterback a season ago. For Cleveland, this is a battle for pride, something to help keep their heads held high. Sadly, the best-case scenario might be a humiliating defeat that forces Kevin Stefanski to replace Watson with Jameis Winston at quarterback. Here are our experts' predictions for this Week 7 showdown. Browns vs. Bengals odds, moneyline, over/under The Bengals are favorites to defeat the Browns, according to the BetMGM NFL odds. Look, it wasn’t pretty…in any form or fashion.
The offense could never get it going against a very good giants defense.
The offensive line looked like it turned back the clock to 2022, allowing joe burrow to be sacked five times.
In fact, on one hot, Burrow had to go to the medival tent to be evaluated for a concussion….thankfully he was okay and returned to finish the game.
But at the end of the day, the bengals get a season-saving 17-7 win.
The defense, much maligned allseason, finally had it’s full cimpliment of healthy players along the dsefensive front, and they played like it…..
The defense, like during the run of afc championship games, won this game for the bengals.
Yes, you can say big deal, the giants offense stinks and they had two of their best players out….and you’d be right about that.
BUT , the defense got it done when the big moments called for it to show up.
The Bengals are now 2-4 with a trip to cleveland coming up next.
Do you feel any better about the team?
Around the nfc north,
The Browns are simply awful…i mean awful.
Cleveland gets 240 yards of offense in a 20-16 loss at philly.
The ravens knock off the commanders…that team is going to runaway and hide in this division.
I know, i know, the steelers are 4-2 and Justin Fields just keeps on rollin.
He only threw for 150 yards but he ran it for 60 and two touchdowns…didn’t turn it over as the men of aluminum beat the raiders 32-13.
How do you think Jerry Jones is feeling this morning?
His cowboys get annihilated by detroit 47-9.
Bad news for the lions though, as they lose star defensive end aiden hutchinson for the season with a broken leg.
College football…..UC gets another win, 19-13 at ucf…… they are 4-2 and get arizona state this week at nippert for homecoming.
ASU beat number 16 Utah friday night som that’s no layup.
Ohio State lost at oregon and shouldve won by ten or more.
They turn it over twice, leading to ten oregon points off those turnovers.
The defense was brutal.
The Buckeyes onlly drop to number 5 in the polls but their margin of error gets slimmer with the loss.
They still have to play at unbeaten penn state, against unbeaten indiana, and close the year against michigan.
In baseball, the dodgers clobber the mets i game one of the nlcs 9-0.
Game two this afternoon at 4.
The american league championship series begins tonight in the bronx as the yankees host the guardians.
That one starts at 7:38!
Following this story from ESPN Staff Writer Ben Baby
CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow sat at his locker for several minutes, arms folded, one leg crossed over the other, assessing the aftermath of Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
For most of the day, the Bengals led and seemed poised to open play in the AFC North with a victory -- their second straight. But on multiple occasions, Cincinnati saw that lead slip away before the Ravens eventually sealed the deal with Justin Tucker's 24-yard field goal.
As Burrow reflected on the outcome, one thing was evident: After the fourth loss in five games to start the season, Burrow said it was frustrating that a team that started the year with title aspirations is nowhere close.
"We're not a championship-level team right now," Burrow said. "We're not. I like to think that we'll come back and improve throughout the season to get to that point, but right now we are not and we have to get better."
It seemed like there was little more the offense could do after another productive outing. Cincinnati scored 30 points for the third straight game. Burrow threw for a career-high five touchdowns on 30-of-39 passing for five touchdowns, though he did also throw a costly interception in the fourth quarter. Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had 10 catches for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
But it was not enough. The defense allowed more than 38 points for the second straight game. After Cincinnati led 38-28 with 8:54 left in regulation, the Ravens scored 13 unanswered points.
For Chase, that amplified the disappointment felt after Sunday's loss.
"I think that's what's causing us to be mad, for the most part," Chase said at his locker after the game. "Just putting up 30 points and losing right there.
"That's what we want to do as an offense -- put up 30 points and take over the game. Put the ball in our hands last drive and take over. That's what we want, and we didn't do it."
Chase and fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins lamented the lack of aggressiveness during a wacky overtime period. Baltimore won the toss to start the extra period and was driving down the field for a potential game-winning touchdown. However, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson fumbled a snap while in the shotgun, and Cincinnati linebacker Germaine Pratt recovered the ball and took it to Baltimore's 38-yard line.
Cincinnati ran the ball on three straight plays to set up a field goal attempt for kicker Evan McPherson. Since he was drafted in 2021, McPherson has hit nine game-tying or go-ahead field goals in the last two minutes of regulation or in overtime, according to ESPN Research. But a poor hold by rookie punter Ryan Rehkow played a role in the 53-yarder that missed wide left.
When asked about the conservative approach on that drive, Bengals coach Zac Taylor said he didn't want to risk a sack or holding penalty in that situation. He said that there was a pass called on that series of plays but that Burrow did a good job of checking into a run play that was more favorable given the defensive look.
"When you're in field goal range and you believe in your kicker, it really is as simple as that," Taylor said.
But instead of back-to-back victories, the Bengals are now trying to overcome the odds to reach the postseason. According to ESPN Research, only 5.6% of teams that have started the year with a 1-4 record in the Super Bowl era (since 1966) have reached the postseason. The 2020 Washington Commanders were the most recent team to accomplish the feat.
Burrow said there were no illusions about where the Bengals find themselves after their fourth loss of the year by just a combined 15 points.
"I know exactly how we are 1-4," Burrow said. "We're not making plays at the end of the game to go and win it. Definitely not in disbelief. I know exactly what's happening."
Despite what Burrow said postgame about the team not being a championship-level squad, Taylor said he still believes in that. Cincinnati went to the Super Bowl in the 2021 season, losing to the Los Angeles Rams, and reached the AFC Championship Game the following year before losing in a rematch to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Taylor said there is still a lot of belief that the team can rebound despite what happened on Sunday against Baltimore.
"People can write us off if they really want to," Taylor said. "I'm not dumb enough to do that."
Thom Brennaman and Luke Brennaman preview the weekend, and pick College and NFL football games.
Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders stole the show in their 38-33 upset victory over Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals on "Monday Night Football." Daniels, the No. 2 pick in the 2024 draft, led the Commanders down the field for touchdowns on each of their first four full drives to build a 28-13 lead midway through the third quarter and held off the Bengals from there. The former Heisman winner from LSU showed off his dual-threat ability in the win. He tossed two TDs and ran for one, finishing the night 21-of-23 for 254 yards while running for another 39 on 12 carries. For the second time in three games, the Bengals were big home favorites over a team that had a rough 2023 season. And yet again, Cincinnati suffered a stunning upset. Led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders topped the Bengals 38-33 to send Cincinnati to an 0-3 start. Daniels produced a masterful performance. Washington scored touchdowns on five of its first six drives, including a 27-yard pass from Daniels to wide receiver Terry McLaurin to salt away the win with 2:10 left. Before the season started, the Bengals were in the conversation to challenge Kansas City for the AFC title. But a third AFC title meeting in four seasons between the teams seems very distant right now. According to ESPN Research, only six teams have reached the playoffs in the Super Bowl era after an 0-3 start to the season. Troubling trend: Failing to convert possessions into touchdowns was an issue last week against the Kansas City Chiefs and persisted against Washington. In the second quarter, Cincinnati had three drives inside Washington's 30-yard line. The Bengals settled for field goal tries on all three of them. Kicker Evan McPherson made 2 of 3 attempts. Biggest hole in the game plan: Containing Daniels. The rookie quarterback made running the offense look effortless in his third career start. Daniels completed 14 of his first 16 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown. He also scrambled for one touchdown to help the Commanders torch Cincinnati's defense. Washington scored touchdowns on its first four drives
New Bengals' Run-Stopper Lawrence Guy Signs Up For Division Of Labor: 'I Love The AFC North' After watching their starting defensive tackles limp off the field in Kansas City last Sunday and their two prized rookie defensive tackles looking for their first NFL snaps while nursing injuries, the Bengals went out and got a guy.\ Bengals Joe Burrow Puts Reason Behind 0-2 Starts As Cincinnati Turns Page To Week 3 "I think there's a different factors every year," Burrow said on Wednesday's show. "0-2 for the third straight year, we're not panicking by any means. There's a lot of football to be played, but lots of room to improve at the same time, just like any game, every year. So we're just looking to improve every day. Go out on Monday, and have our best game yet, hopefully get a win, and then move on." Joe Burrow Explains Short Postgame Hug Patrick Mahomes After Bengals' Loss to Chiefs "Well, we had talked to each other before the game," Burrow said. "After a game like that, not much to say. I got a lot of respect for him, I think he has a lot of respect for me. Sometimes you talk to guys, sometimes you don't. We had seen each other before the game so no big deal." Ranking NFL's 0-2 teams: Bengals, Ravens still dangerous, Broncos, Panthers in dire straits Few contenders start slow like the Bengals, so this is, in some ways, par for the course in Cincinnati. Don't get us wrong: The lingering Ja'Marr Chase drama and Tee Higgins availability questions are red flags. Discipline has been an issue. But if Joe Burrow is on the field, slinging it as he does, then this team is one of the toughest outs in the NFL, as evidenced by them taking the Kansas City Chiefs to the wire. Bengals Roster Breakdown: Andrei Iosivas has much higher expectations to exceed in second year Today, we give the spotlight to wide receiver Andrei Iosivas, or "Yoshi" to some. His rookie campaign last year was a welcomed surprise, and because of that, the bar has been raised entering 2024. It's why he's one of Cincinnati's prime breakout candidates for this highly-anticipated season.
Story we are following from the AP: Butker hits a 51-yard winner for KC after penalty on Bengals safety keeps Chiefs alive By Dave Skretta KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Harrison Butker kept making a lonely walk to midfield after each quarter Sunday to check on the direction of the wind, which tends to swirl inside Arrowhead Stadium. He did it one last time during the 2-minute warning, when his Chiefs were trailing the Bengals by two and trying to give him a winning field-goal attempt. When Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the offense did exactly that, helped along by a pass interference call on Cincinnati safety Daijahn Anthony on fourth down in the final minute, Butker once again headed onto the field as Chiefs fans began to roar. Rarely does he miss. And they didn’t expect him to this time. With preternatural calm, Butker drilled the 51-yarder as time expired, giving Kansas City the 26-25 victory. Patrick Mahomes threw for 151 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, but it was his incomplete pass intended for Rashee Rice on fourth-and-16 from the Kansas City 35 that turned out to be decisive. Related Stories Bengals visit Chiefs in matchup of perennial playoff contenders meeting in rare Week 2 showdown Burrow and the Bengals are bumming again after another last-second loss to Chiefs in Kansas City Taylor Swift back at Arrowhead to watch Travis Kelce and the Chiefs The penalty came just after Kansas City had a long gain on fourth down wiped out by a penalty of its own. Joe Burrow threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns, both to Andrei Iosivas, as the Bengals (0-2) came up empty against one of their biggest nemeses for the third straight time. That includes a loss to Kansas City in the AFC championship game. Evan McPherson’s fourth field goal gave the Bengals a 25-23 lead with 5:12 to go, and their defense gave them the ball back. But the Chiefs forced a punt with 2:59 remaining, giving Mahomes and Co. the opportunity to decide the game. Unsportsmanlike conduct Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct in the fourth quarter. Chase was stopped short of the first-down marker on second-and-11, and he appeared to be upset that a flag was not throw for a hip-drop tackle. He got right into the face of referee Alex Kemp, who threw the flag. It forced a third-and-22 at the Chiefs 45, and after a completion to Gesicki got 10 yards back, McPherson kicked the field goal that gave the Bengals a 25-23 lead. “It’s pretty clear cut. It’s just simply abusive language toward a game official,” Kemp said. “I’m not going to repeat to you what he said, but there was no interpretation with the language that he used. Just abusive language.”

We begin with football and game one of the pre-season for YOUR Cincinnati Bengals. Beautiful night, good crowd at paycor for the bengales and the buccaneers. Joe Burrow saw action in a pre-season game for the first time in 3 years and he looked pretty sharp…..not great, although he did lead the team on a touchdown drive before sitting the rest of the game. Burrow made some nice throws, forced a couple, was helped by a bogus pass interference penalty butr the bottom line is….HES HEALTHY! Finally! For the first time since the end of the 2022 season. I’ll tell you who else looked good……first round pick and starter at right tackle amarius mims. If Trent Brown can kick things into gear, Mims may be starting week one of the regular season. We will get into some of the things that caught our eyes….wjho played well, who didn’t and is it too late to worry about the dLine stopping the run? Baseball, another lost weekend for the Reds……meaning they lose three games off the schedule and dodn’t make a move. They’d be in last place if the wheels hadn’t fallen off for the pittsburgh pirates. Cincinnati was again embarrassed by division-leading Milwaukee, They lost ⅔ over the weekend scoring a total of seven runs in the series. Not even competing with Milwaukee is a joke. Reds are 4 ½ gms out of the final wildcardc spot, so they’re still alive. Problem is seven teams are ahead of them. One of those teams is st. louis. The cardinals start a three-game series tonight at gabp. Andrew abbott starts it for Cincinnati. Former Red Sonny Gray starts for the redbirds. The summer games in Paris wrapped up yesterday. The United States won the most medals with 126. China was second with 91 and great britain third with 65, one better than the french. The US and Communist Chinease tied for the most gold medals with 40. Congrats to all the athletes and their amazing commitment to excellence over so many years. One final note in sports….. You might not know the name Anson Dorrance, but you should. He retired yesterday as the womens head soccer coach at the university of north carolina. All he did was win more national championships than any other coach, men or womens in ncaa history with 21. He won 934 games, lost 88. He added another 172 wins as the tarheels mens head coach. He said he modeled his program from the very beginning after Dean Smith, the former legendary north carolina mens basketball coach.
It all begins tonight for your Cincinnati Bengals…it’s pre-season game NUMBER ONE. And it’s a very different first game than those of the past under head coach Zach Taylor…..Joe Burrow and the starters are getting some minutes on the field. Remember, we’ve questioned why they have not been in pre-season games of the past, especially considering the slow starts in the regular season. Tampa Bay is in town at paycor for a 7pm kickoff. You can watch the game on fox 19! One starter , at least in the return game, will not see action tonight. That’s charlie Jones . He injured his knee yesterday in practice and had to be carted off the field. Jay Morrison from pro football talk joins us in about 15 minutes with the latest on Jones and a preview of what to look for tonight! The Reds scoried 7 times in the tenth inning last night to beat the marlins for the third time in four days. The Marlins are awful. Tonight’s a different ballgame in the level of competition as the reds play the first of 3 against the division-leading milwaukee brewers. Milwaukee is pretty amazing….they have a first-year manager, have been injured even more thasn the reds, including 4/5ths of their starting rotation, yet they sit 16 games over .500 after a complete wipeout of the braves the last three days. Carson Spiers gets the ball for cincinnati. The game can be seen on Apple TV at 8 est. The Reds sit in a tie for last in the central with the cubbies. They are five back in the wildcard. Its starting to look like we may not see Matt Mcclain this season. His rehab assignment has been pushed back again and no timetable as to exactly if and or when it will happen at all. Mcclain has missed the entire season with shoulder surgery. We ask the question today: If the team can’t reach the playoffs , what would you like to see haoppen between now and the end of the year. FC Cincinnati plays in the round of 32 of the leagues cup tonight at tql against santos laguna out of the top mexican league. FCC was eliminated in this round one year ago. And how about the fire of the mens us olympic basketball team? They were down 17 headed in to the fourth quarter against Serbia and stormed back to win 95-91. Steph Curry scored 36….lebron notched a triple-double to send the states to the gold medal game against france. Remember, that was the matchup in the final four years ago. The womens team plays australia in the semi-finals at 11:15 eastern this morning. All kinds of medals to be won today across the board. The closing ceremonies are sunday. Reds Mcclain? Starters finish strong Marte start to show signs that he can be the guy
When the reds came out of the all-star break, all we heard was, they’re ready for a run…….especially after beating juggernauts colorado and miami in back to back series at home. The first series after the break, the worst three days of the season….a sweep against washington……after wins in atlanta, the reds roll into tampa bay, score four runs in three games, lose two of three against the rays, including yesterday’s killer loss. This offense is so bad. The defense stinks and their baserunning blunders occur virtually every night. Did Hunter Greene really have to leave the game at 100 pitches? Is that a hard rule? Lucas Sims? With the bases loaded? Are you kidding? Tonight the cubbies come to town for the first of a three-game series. That’s a series for last place. Bengals defensive end Sam hubbard left yesterday’s practice on a golf cart after suffering a knee injury. By alll accounts it doesn’t appear to be serious….thankfully, and he should be back soon. Jamar Chase still not practicving……any thoughts on that? We have em…. In a matter of moments, Charlie Goldsmith from cincinnati.com will join us to talk reds and bengals. The cowboys got really bad news yesterday when defensive end sam williams tore his left ACL during a non-contact-special teams drill yesterday, He will miss the entire season. And in the olympic games, team usa rolled in its first game 110-84 over serbia. Next up south sudan on wednesday.

Reds
Around the league* The Phillies complete their sweep of the dodgers winning 5-1. Nola dominated with 6 innings and 9 strikeouts. Schwarber turner and marsh all hitting home runs * Pirates shutout the brewers 1-0. Paul skenes was pulled after going 7 innings striking out 11 and not allowing a single hit. * Tigers eviscerate the Guardians 10-1. Flahrety is having a hell of a season * Mets shutout the nationals 7-0 to complete their sweep * Cubs shutout the orioles 8-0 to complete their sweep. They scored 21 runs in the series allowing 2 runs. They had two shutouts * Rays beat the Yankees 5-4. It got sketchy towards the end where the game winning catch was seemingly dropped but after discussion the ball came out during celebration * Diamondbacks shutout the Braves 1-0 * Mariners trample the angels 11-0 * Red Sox shutout Oakland 7-0
The Reds scored 8 runs in three games. They struck out 39 times, including 15 yesterday, while walking 5 times. In terms of batting average and OBP, they are AMONG THE VERY WORST in Major League Baseball. And it’s not going to change….. It might be over the next seven days against the two worst teams in baseball, but until the injured return or the guys here now find a magic Jeanie….it isn't getting better. And btw….the Reds made a deal last night, acquiring giants outfielder Austin slater. He’s 31 years old…. basically a fifth outfielder on a good team. The Reds have lots of those already. Slater is hitting .200 in 45 games with one home run. They traded right-hander Alex Young to get him. Young has pitched brilliantly at Louisville after starting the year injured….pitched well last year for the team. Colorado comes to town for the first of four tonight. THE REDS ARE six games under .500, 10 ½ games behind the brewers in the NL Central. We will talk more about the team in a minute… The rosters for the all-star game came out yesterday..there are 33 first-time all-stars and 19 players under the age of 27, including the Red's very own Elly De La Cruz! One of the best stories is former Red Jeff Hoffman. He’s 31 years old and is going to his first all-star game as a member of the Phillies. The Reds let him walk out the door after an excellent 2022 season. How about FC Cincinnati? Like all of last year, they now have the best record in the MLS after blasting Inter Miami FC at TQL stadium over the weekend. FCC has lost just four times all season and will host Charlotte FC on Saturday.
Big time win and a big time sweep which sets up a big time divisional series tonight at gabp for the cincinnati reds.
The Local nine score two in the eighth, six in the ninth on a two-out, two-run home run byb spencer steer. Then a grand slam by jonathan india in a 12-7 win over the rockies.
Reds are four under. 500, have won three straight and now host the chicago cubs for the first of four starting tonight.
Hunter greene opposes javier assad at 7:10.
Cubbies are a .500 team, two in front ofr the reds.
Brewers get swept by the phillies after a 2-0 shutout yesterday.

After a disappointing series against the cardinals last week, the reds hit the road for chicago and colorado and the road trip has started nicely. Reds get a series win over the cubbies after winning the decisive game of the three-game set yesterday at wrigley. You think about this team and how no, you can’t blame all of their losses on injuries, but when you have a healthy TJ Friedl. And a healthy Nick Lodolo…….it makes a big difference in winning and losing. Lodolo goes six strong innings for the win, allowing seven hits and two runs. Friedl clubbed a three-run homer in the 5-2 win. On a down note, a rough weekend for elly de la cruz…..0 for 14 ….struck out 9 x. Got on base just one time with a walk. More on that later in the show. Cincinnati sits seven games under .500, 10 full games behind the red hot milwaukee brewers, who have won five straight. Tonight an 8:40P local start time in the MILE HIGH CITY. Andrew Abbott faces righthander ryan Feltner. College baseball…a great weekend to the opening round of the ncaa tournament. NKU and Indiana were knocked out early. That’s not the case for the number 2 ranked team in the nation….the Kentucky Wildcats. NHL Playoffs…the florida panthers have advanced to the stanley cup finals after beating the ny rangers 4 games to 2 . Their opponent? The Edmonton oilers . The beat the dallas stars 2-1 last night to won the western conference four gaMES TO 2. THE FINALS BEGIN SATURDAY in florida. NBA FINALS are set to begin sometime this month…. Actually thursday night in boston between the celtics and dallas mavericks. Then they are off friday….saturday…….play sunday. Come on. The biggest story in sports right now is this Caitlin Clark deal and this is getting really ugly. Jealousy is one humans ugliest traits….and man is it ugly in the wnba. Other players are jealous…..plain and simple. Theyre jealous of her popularity. Jealous of her money off the court. Its also becoming dangerous… Did you see this?

SUBSCRIBE to the channel to ensure you never miss a thing. The month of May has been a complete disaster………..in every way imaginable. Start with injuries to CES, Friedl, Lodolo, Emilio pagan……that group joining the likes of Matt McClain, ian gibault and the suspended Noelvi Marte. You cannot try to evaluate this reds team based on the number of good, if not sometimes great players, that have missed significant time. It wouldn’t be fair. The losses just keep on comin….. They teased us a little bit with that sweep of the dodgers but we werent fooled here on Dialed In. Not for a minute. They promptly lose two of three to the cardinals….who stink. Qand starting today, it’s a three-game weekend series at wrigley against another team that stinks….the cubs. Criag Counsell’s team just went to milwaukee for the last four days and got lit up three times by the white-hot brew crew. Graham ashcraft faces javier assad in a 2:20P first pitch. Reds care 8 under, 9 games back in the central. The cubbies a game under .500..5 ½ out. College baseball…..that’s right, college baseball. Is it just me or does it seem like NKU and UK are the only local schools we talk about playing in ncaa tournaments? That’s the case today as the norse take on the number one overall seed in the ncaa tournament, tennessee, tonight in knoxville. First pitch 7p. The wildcats , the overall number 2 seed in the tourney, play at home against western michigan. That game starts at noon. The indiana hoosiers also play in nashville today at 1 in the opening round against southern miss. NBA Playoffs, the finals are set to begin IN A WEEK…more on that in a moment. Last night the dallas mavericks finished off then minnesota timberwolves 4 games to one in the western conference finals. Luka and Kyrie each goes for 36 points in a 124-103 blowout win. That sets up a matchup in the finals with the eastaren conference champion boston celtics. Boston an early favorite in Vegas. Bengals news……voluntary OTA’s continue downtown today. Burrow looks great. Still no Tee Higgins or Jamar Chase. They are no-shows….it is volunteer remember. They are watching other receivers around the league get big money.
Lets be honest….things are not good.
To be fair, You have to start with all the injuries. This is not the team that we bad high expectations for..right?
No McClain, no marte, practically no freidl. Those are three very important players on this team for a number of different reasons.
But doesn’t every team have injuries? The Dodgers havents had ⅗ of their starting rotation and they keep on rollin. They made it three straight over the reds yesterday, winning 3-2 in the bottom of the tenth inning on a shoehei ohtahni based hit.
The Reds played 10 games on their west coast swing…..won 3.
They’ve lost 18 of their last 23 games. They are 9 games under .500, the worst they’ve been since the end of the 100-loss-fiasco that was 2022.
Is it gonna get better? You tell me.
The starting pitching has been simply fantastic….so that gives you reason for hope.
Hunter Greene is turning into a stud….ghe’s nogt there yet but he’s bangin on the door.
Bangin is something the reds NEVER do….especially when it matters.
They scored 34 runs TOTAL on the road gtrip…10!
And as great as Elly has been this year, he;s gotta drive in the run in the seventh. The only way they scored with the bases loaded and nobody out is on a walk to steer….another guy who can’t buy a hit.
The team is 8 ½ games out first, in dead last in the nl central . Is the season over? I say no it’s not. Many are sayin g that it is…..it’s on;y may 20th.
Cincinnati opens a nine-game homestand tomorrow night against the san diego padres before the dodgers roll into town starting friday night.
On to the nba playoffs…….is anybody watching ? I gotta be honest, I’m nt a big nba guy during the regular season but the post-season is a totally different deal.
Yesterday, a pair of gane sevens…..
It started in new york where the pacers wiped out the knicks to advance to the eastern conference finals.
Was NY in jured? No doubt.
Is that the reason they lost games six and seven ? No chance.
Indiana shot 76 percent from the field in the first half and 67 percent in the game. Both marks are the highest ever in an nba plahyoff game.
We always here how tough and gritty new york teams are right? Defense is tough and its gritty. The knicks didn’t do it so their stretch of 20 plus years without a trip to a conference final is alive and well.
In the west, Minnesota has been to a conference championship series once in its history…..THAT was 20 years ago…….UNTIL NOW.
At one point in the third quarter, Denver— the reigning nba champions—-was up by 20 points.
The Twolves looked dead in the water….and then they werent.
Why? Defenese.
They hold the nuggets to 14 points in the third quarter and roaR BACK TO WIN 98-90.
SO THE CONFERENCE FINALS have the twolves against dallas starting wednesday night.
The Pacers against the top-seed boston celtics beginning tomorrow night.
The monkey is off the back of zander schauffle. This guys been a great player for a long time but never won the big one. That’s now all in the past.
Schauffle drilled a birdie putt on the final hole to edge Bryson DeChambeau by one stroke to win his first major, the pga championship.
His final total was the lowest score in a major ever.
The Reds enjoyed an off day yesterday and lets face it….they need it. They have guys beat up….and nearly an entire lineup full of guys who arent hitting right now. They limped home from texas and san diego with a 2-4 record……they are 3-6 in their last nine with three straight series losses. Tonight they are back on the home front against the baltimore orioles in the first game of a three-game weekend set. The birds are 20-11 on the year, sitting atop the american league easwt after beating the yankees three times in the last four games. Left-hander cole irvin starts for baltimore tonight…….he didn’t allow a run in his first two starts. He’s given up 11 runs in his last 14 innings. Hunter AGreene gets the ball for the red legs coming off his best outing of the season in texas last saturday. Cincinnati sits in third place in the nl central….. 3 ½ games behind front-running milwaukee. 2 ½ behind second-place chicago. FCCincinnati looks for it’s third straight win this saturday night when they travel to orlando. FCC sits three points behind INter-Miami CF for the top spot in the east. NFL News, Dak Prescott will not face charges for sexual assault after Dallas detectives determined there was insufficient evidence from as case going back to 2017. Will Justin Fields return kicks for the pittsburgh steelers this season? Apparently if special teams coordinator danny smith has his way. Remember, the new kickoff rules state that the cover team cannot take off until the returner touches the ball…..and as far as running the ball is concerned, whio runs it better than justin fields….. Stay tuned. The steelers announced that they will not pick up the fifth year option on running back najee harris’s contract in 2025. The Chiefs will not exercise the fifth-year option on wide receiver Kadarrius Toney in 2025 Kirby Smart of georgia signs a new contract which makes him the highest-paid coach in college football. Smart signs a 10-year, 130 million dollar deal. NBA Playoffs…..the Indiana Pacers advance to the eastern semis with a four games to 2 win over the bucs. Infairness, milwaukee played without Yannis for most of the series. The Pacers will face the new york knicks after they eliminated the sixers 4 games to 2. This was a great series…..the average margin of victory was 5 points, including last nights classic 118-115 decision. Knicks star Jalen brunson averaged 42 points per game over the final four games of the series. He had 41 in the clincher last night. The Knicks havent been to a conference final in over 20 years. Tonight Cleveland looks to advancer tyo the second round with a win over Orlando. The cavs own a 3 games to 2 lead. The winner of that series will face the top-seed Boston Celtics. Out west, one semi is set with denver facing minnesota starting on saturday. Tonight, Dallas is atb home with a 3-2 lead over the clippers. A Mavs win and they will face top-seed Oklahoma City in rounds two. Watch Dialed In with Thom Brennaman presented by UDF Monday 9:05 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. LIVE on the Chatterbox Sports YouTube channel. What a weekend for the local nine….that’s two weekends in a row where the red legs pull off a series sweep.
Last week they outscored the white sox 27-5….this week they sweep the angels out of town, outsourcing that bunch, 17-6.
On friday night, — Elly De La Cruz hit a three-run homer, Nick Lodolo pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball for his second quality start since coming off the injured list and the Cincinnati Reds snapped a three-game skid with a 7-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.
Besides the three-run shot in the eighth. De La Cruz manufactured another run with two outs in the second inning when he singled, stole second and third and scored on the errant throw to third by Angels catcher.
Lodolo (2-0) allowed a run and seven hits while striking out six after giving up just one hit in 5 2/3 innings against the White Sox last Saturday in his first big league start in nearly a year.
The 26-year-old left-hander exited in the seventh Friday with one out and runners on second and third. Fernando Cruz came on and struck out Jo Adell and Zach Neto to end the threat.
Saturday night, tyler stephenson clubbed his first career grand slam…stuart failrchild knocked in two in a 7-5 win.
Graham ashcraft gave up five runs in six innings but nick martinez was lights out, firing three shutout innings…..alexis diaz closed it out.
So that brought us to yesterday…..scary moment when frankie montas took a comebacker off the right elbow and had the leave the game in the first inning…..turns out he’s okay, just s bruise.
Brent sutter was fantastic over 3 ⅓ innings and the reds bullpen goes 8 ⅓ frames of six-hit shutout baseball in a 3-0 victory.
In the nl central, the reds are a half game back of chicago for second-place.
The white hot brewers, who swept the cardinals over the weekend, are two and a half games ahead of cincinnati.
The pirates free fall has begun. Theyve lost six straight.
The hottest team in the national league comes to town tonight to open a four games series. The philadelphia phillies have ripped off six straight and will send 3-0 lefthander ranger suarez to the mound against hunter greene.
The reds right hander is still in search of his first victory of this young season.
In the nba playoffs, winners in game one of four series were played yesterday….the winners were the clippers, celtics, the bucks wirth no Yannis, and the oklahoma city thunder held off the Zion-less pelicans by two.
Tonight , cleveland looks to go up 2-0 against orlando.
The same holds true for the defending champion nuggets against the lakers.
And the knicks look for a 2-0 lead in their series against the sixers.
In soccer, Luciano Acosta recorded one goal and one assist to help FC Cincinnati rally for a 2-1 victory over the host Atlanta United on Saturday night.
The win puts fcc at 4 wins, two losses and three draws on the year and ends a three-game winless streak.
In Golf, how about kelly korda? Yesterday she won the chevron championship…no big deal right?
Wrong…. It was her fifth straight lpga win which ties the longest in history with anika sorenstam and the legenday nancy lopez.
She goes for her sixth straight this weekend in LA.
On the mens side, they knew bad weather was coming in hilton head, yet the powers that be refused to start the final round early…..
The rain came, halted play, then they ran out of daylight with scott scheffler up five shots with four holes to play.
Scheffler is looking for his fourth win in five weeks and would become the first pga player since Bernard Langer in 1985 to follow a masters win with a victory the next week.
What a weekend for the local nine... The Cincinnati Reds. As you and I talked last Friday, they were going to the south side of Chicago to face a bad white Sox team, and when I said bad… I didn’t think they were this bad! That team is awful. So the Reds did what youre supposed to do against bad teams….swept them! Cincinnati outscored the chicago white sox 27-5 over the weekend…….most people like talking about the 27….on dialed-in, we like talking about the five….five runs allowed. Andrew Abbott went seven on Friday night… Graham Ashcraft nearly six yesterday but THE story was THE RETURN of Nick Lodolo after missing basically a year with a broken leg. He is without question the best Reds pitcher when he’s able to take the ball. The TCU alum went 5 ⅔ innings, allowed only one hit, one walk, and strikeout ten batters. With the three-game win streak, the team sits three games over .500 at 9-6. They trail the co-leading brewers and pirates by a game and a half in the NL Central. The competition gets better starting tonight as the Reds open a three-game series in Seattle. A little bit better truth be told. The Mariners are 6-10 and are one of four teams yet to score 50 total runs this season… For comparison, the Reds have scored 90. Frankie Montas starts for the Reds… George Kirby for Seattle. Kirby has allowed 13 runs in his last seven innings. Congrats to the Pirates Andrew McCutcheon… He clubbed his 300th career home run yesterday against Philadelphia. 13th player ever with 2000 hits, 400 doubles, 45 triples, 300 home runs, and 200 stolen bases… that’s pretty solid. For the second time in three years, Scottie Scheffler wins the masters. The world’s number-one ranked player finished 11 under par to beat Ludvig Oberg by four shots. Tommy Fleetwood, Max Homa, and Colin Morikawa finished four under par. Scheffler joins Tiger Woods and the Goat, Jack Nicklaus as the only three players ever with multi titles at the player's championship and the masters. Scheffler had the best score of any golfer in the final round with a 68. NUT CUTTER The NBA playoffs start tomorrow night….four teams in each conference will start a play-in tournament to decide the eighth seed. In the east, the four teams are the Bulls, the Hawks, the Heat, and the Sixers. Out west, the lakers, pelicans, kings, and warriors. Boston is the top seed in the east, and Cleveland a fourth seed. Oklahoma City is the top seed in the west.

John Calipari to arkansas? When i read it this morning, i wondered if it was april fools day and not solar eclipse day. No way that’s true right? Kentucky to arkansas? Apparently that’s going to happen. After 15 seasons where he won over 420 games, a national title, four final fours…..it’s bye, bye Cal. Elsewhere In college hoops….who do you like tonight…..defending champ UConn or Purdue? This is actually the game just about everyone hoped for when the season began…..a team that won it all vs a team that lost in the first round last year and had to play with that anvil around the=ir necks this entire tournament. Zach Edey has been the best player by far in this tournament so far and he will have to be at his best tonight. Tip off at 9:20 eastern on cbs. On the womens side, what a story book ending to a story book season……the most successful season by virtually every metric in the history of womens ncaa hoops. South carolina became the 10th team to go undefeated in an 87-75 win over caitlin clark and iowa. Remember the gamecocks were unbeaten when they lost to iowa in the final four a year ago. It’s the second straight season the lady hawkeyes lost in the national championship game. South carolinas bench outscored the iowa bench 37-0 . Clark finished with 30 points and ends her career 3951 points, the most ever in womens or mens division i basketball history. On to the reds…. The first full week of the season was solid. Two series wins over washington and philadelphia….a 4-2 record with some timely hitting and good pitching by and large. The start of week two…? Not so good. The new york mets did not have a single win until the day before arriving in the queen city for the weekend. Hunter greene was rock solid friday night but the reds lost 3-2. Saturday, Nick martinez was knocked around but his team railled for 5 runs in the eighth inning to win 9-7. Then came yesterday….. Series finale…rubber game….and the reds bats disappeared in a 3-1 loss. Over the weekend, the reds were 3-28 with runners in scoring position…..3-28!! Thru the first nine games, the team is hitting .242 with an on-base percentage of .319. AND They are averaging 10 strikeouts per game. In fact, of the 78 outs they committed this weekend, 32 came via the strikeout….that’s over 40 percent! So at 5-4 on the year, cincinnati sits 2 ½ games behind the pirates in the nl central. Milwaukee is in second place and guess who comes to gabp tonight? You got it…Milwaukee. The brewers beat the reds 10 out of 13 meetings last season, which was a big reason they won the division. Coming into this season, everyone says No Criag COUNSELL, NO Corbin Burns, and brandon woodruff….they’re done. Not so fast, milwaukee has a 6-2 mark to begin the year. Pitching matchup tonight has graham ashcraft for the red legs. Aaron ashby gets the ball for milwaukee.
It’s only one week into the season and so far, pretty good for the red legs…..4 wins in 6 games.
While not earth-shattering, consider the fact that the team has not had a wining record over the first month of the season since 2013…… two years ago, they were 3-22.
So how about we play, the good , the bad and the ugly.
The good….. Frankie Montas. Through two starts he’s been everything you’d ever want…. Throwing strikes, being pitch efficient and getting outs. He’s pitched like a number one.
The bad: The offensive starts for the entire team not named martini, steer or fraley.
CES, Benson, Elly, candelario, stephenson.
That’s gotta change soon.
THE UGLY: The defense. The reds starting pitching was awful last year. The bullpen was overused and ran out of steam.
The reason they didn’t make the playoffs was because of bad defense…number one factor.
The defense stinks so far this year too.
Granted, they are missing mcclain and friedl, but this is not a good defensive team.
The team is back at it tonight as the new york mets come to town to open a three0-games series. The mets lost their first five games before finally winning yesterday, 2-1 over detroit.
Jose Quintana, a lefthander starts for new york.
Hunter greene is on the hill for cincinnati.
The reds sit a full game behind first place pittsburgh and a half-game behind second place milwaukee in the nl Central.
The womens final four is tonight in cleveland….
This is the kind of thing we miss out on by not having an arena.
We lost out to cleveland for the republican convention four years ago…….now to THE LAND for a final four…..and lets be honest, there’s zero contest when comparing the two downtowns….NUN.
In the first game , undefeated south carolina will take on NC State at 7 o’clock.
Then at 9, its Caitlin Clark and the Iowa hawkeyes against UConn.
The title game is sunday afternoon on abc at 3 eastern.
The men take center stage tomorrow out in Glendale, Arizona.
Cinderella NC State, an 11 seed, face Purdue in one semi at 6:09.
Then the nightcap features defending champion UConn against the crimson tide of alabama.
The winners will meet Monday night.
Broony James entering nba draft and the transfer portal at the same time.
Frosh year interrupted by a cardiac condition which limited him to 19 minutes per game once he was cleared to play.
Aveg 4 and 2 .
Duquense?
Ohio State?
FCC hosts the new york Bulls saturday night at TQL Stadium.
They call it march madness for a reason , but outside of an upset here….aka Kentucky and an upset there, most games in this years first round were rarely competitive. In fact, there were more games decided by 15 points or more in this years first-round games than any ncaa tournament EVER. We started with 68 teams…now we are down to 16. All four number one seeds are still alive….houston, carolina, purdue and defending champion Uconn. All four number 2 seeds are still alive….that is quite rare for a sweet 16. Two threes are still with us….In fact, there’s only one team, acc champion nc state , that’s higher than a 6-seed. The wolfpack will play marquette in the south region. Lets walk thru the matchups which begin on thursday night…. GRAPHIC Uc is still alive in the nit….the cats are in the elite 8 after they steamrolled bradley at fifth third arena on saturday and will next meet indiana state in terre haute on tuesday night at 9 o’clock. Ohio State is also still alive. The Buckeyes host Georgia on tuesday night at 7. A win by each and the next stop is madison square garden for the final four of the nit. The lady buckeyes were shocked in round two of the womens tournament by duke 75-63. Caitlin Clark and Iowa play tonight with a trip to the sweet 16 on the line. The hawkeyes face west virginia. In baseball, shohei otani will speak with the media for the first time since this bizarre story broke. At first, Ohtani’s interpretter told the world that the dodger slugger paid off all of his gambling debts for him…to the tune of 4.5 million dollars to an illegal bookie. A day later, ohtani’s lawyer said the interpreter stole the money from ohtani. The world we be watching and waiuting for ohtani’s comments later today. The Reds are on their way back from Arizona as spring training officially ended yesterday in goodyear. The reds lost to cleveland 10-7. Hunter greene went three innings and allowed a solo home run. Alexis Diaz was awful again as he gives up three runs in the cleveland ninth inning on two hits and a walk. Diaz has been fabulous in his role as the reds closer for the last two years although he did falter badly down the stretch last season. NFL News, nothing new on the bengals after a very fast start to free agency last week. Mike tomlin says russell wilson has the pole position to be the steelers starting quarterback this season. Justin fields will try and change tomlins mind. The chiefs traded star corner jaderius sneed to the tennessee titans for a third-round pick this year and a seventh-round drafy pick next year.
Thom Brennaman's LIVE Dialed In begins with the College Basketball. They call it March Madness for a reason and if the conference tournaments are a preview of the upcoming NCAA tournament, this is going to be complete and utter madness… Think of all the number one seeds that lost over the weekend…north carolina, houston, tennessee, and arizona, just to name a few. Even powers like Kentucky and Duke lost before ever getting to the tournament finals. That means that bids were gobbled up in many cases by teams that went into the weekend with very little chance to make the big dance….and we know those other teams are still going, right? So of your St johns, or providence, or oklahoma, or seton hall…youre out. Six teams forms the Mountain West Conference are in this tournament and some of those teams arent? Dayton is in as a 7 seed in the werst regions amd will play thursday against nevada at 4:30. A win and they probably meet the two seed arizona. Kentucky is in as a three seed in the south and takes on horizon league champion oakland thursday night at 7:10. There is enormous pressure on UK in this tournament. They’ve not been to the elite 8 since 2018, and havent been to a final four since 2014. We know that UC, Xavier and Ohio State will play in the nit. Xavier is on thew road at georgia tomorrow night. UC will host san francisco wednesday night and the buckeyes will host cornell tomorrow night. Lots more on the ncaa tournament coming up. Speaking of ohio state….all the talk about season miller or dusty may as their next head coach can be put to bed as the interim tag on jake diebler can be lifted. He got a five-year deal yesterday after leading ohio state to 7 wins in 9 games to close the season. Good for him. Soccer, FC Cincinnati won 2-1 yesterday at new england. FCC is 2-0-2 in the year. As for the reds…i gotta tell ya..im a little concerned about some very specific things with this team as we are less than two weeks from opening day. Lets focus primarily on the pitching. Its seems like every time we turn around, someone is coming up injured and for thse that arent, they’re just not pitching well. Montas, hunter greene and graham ashcraft have been average at best. ANdrew abbott was scratched from his start yesterday, son that meant a golden chance for brandon williamson. He wllaks three straight batters, hits another, while allowing four runs in two innings. As for nick martinez? He’s looked fabulous….when he’s pitched. Theyare telling nus he has a dispacled rib……..for a guy who’s a pitcher, do you believe for a second that sounds like it’s a day to day sort of thing. Bullpen lefties sam mole and alex young are hurt. Nick lodolo wont start the season on the opening day roster. Then the position players……devastating news on saturday when centerfie;der tj friedl broke his wrist diving for a ball in the outfield. Will Benson and stuart fairchild are expected to replace him in center. Then there’s matt mcclain……..I don’t get to unwrapped up in stats during spring training, but he doesn’t have a hit since returning from an oblique injury over a week ago.
Thom Brennaman's LIVE Dialed In begins with the College Basketball in Cincinnati. Cincinnati Bearcats beat West Virginia 92-56 over the weekend they will play them again in the Big 12 Tournament tomorrow to advance. If they do they play Kansas... Free agency doesn’t officially begin until weds at 4pm BUT teams can begin speaking to agents of free agent players TODAY. Things just got a whole lot more interesting in the AFC north as Russell Wilson is going to sign a one-year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last season, the nine-time pro bowler and super bowl champ[ion with seattle, threw for better than 3000 yards with 26 touchdowns against just 8 interceptions. He was benched for the final two games of the season. Baker Mayfield is rewarded by the team with a three-year, 100 million dollar contract with 50 million dollars guaranteed. Chiefs Defensive tackle Chris Jones isn’t going anywhere. He gets five years for 159 million dollars, 60 million guaranteed. The cap hit this year is only seven million bucks. On the business side of things, the Bears are spending 2 billion dollars to build a new, domed stadium next to Soldier Field in downtown Chicago. For Xavier, they lose on Saturday to number 8 Marquette 86-80. The Muskies play in the Big East tournament as the 9 seed against number 8 Butler, a team they split with during the regular season. That game is Wednesday at 4 o’clock. A win would mean a date with number-one seed UConn on Thursday night. Xavier has to win three games in New York this week to avoid ending a 27-season streak with a winning record…. Miami got beat by The Ohio University on Friday night. Dayton is the 3 seed in the A10 tournament in Brooklyn. The Flyers play Thursday night at 7:30. Kentucky got a huge win on Saturday at number 4 Tennessee. With that, the Cats are the two-seed in this week's SEC tournament in Nashville. They will play the winner of the Texas am/Ole Miss matchup Friday night at 7 Eastern. Northern Kentucky is looking for back-to-back trips to the big dance. Tonight the Norse play in the Horizon League semis against number 6 Milwaukee. The teams split their season series at a game apiece. A busy weekend for the Reds… Nick Lodolo made his first appearance since early last season and pitched two hitless, scoreless innings against Cleveland yesterday. Second baseman Matt McClain was in the lineup for the first time since injuring his oblique. Off the diamond, the team's number 1 Rated prospect just two years ago, Jose Barrero, was placed on waivers and was immediately swooped up by the Texas Rangers. The move was a little confusing considering the team wasn’t facing any 40-man roster issues and the kid is only 25. Of course, all of this was just white noise when compared to the news of Noelvi Marte. He’s the current number one prospect in the reds organization and was expected to be the teams opening day third baseman. Well…..we wont lay eyes on him until the end of june or early July…at least, after he was suspended for the first 80 games of the season for a banned substance. But here’s the kicker….not only does he miss the first three months of the season, if the reds make the playoffs, he can’t be on the post-season roster.
