A funny thing happened on the way to MY life…God stepped in. Today I am a stay-at-home mother of two… and did I mention that I’m also a pastor’s wife! No, this wasn’t how I planned things (maybe I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque?), but I know this much…God has blessed me beyond anything I could have imagined for myself!

I don’t remember when my phobia began, but I’m pretty sure that it’s hereditary since I have early childhood memories of my mom, my aunts, my cousins and my sister shrieking in terror when one would come around on a warm spring/summer night. By the time I was in junior high, the phobia was in full force…

Not that anyone has ever asked, but I thought that maybe I should explain (just in case the thought ever crossed your mind)…why hymningandhaing? If it sounds familiar and looks horribly misspelled, then you’re right on both accounts.
So it’s day one of this never-ending month and I may have just solved my own dilemma. I will no longer be a victim of the “February funk.”
