Reading is somewhat of a lost art today. Technology has taken over to the point where taking the time to actually flip through the pages of a book (with paper pages), is unheard of. We live in stressful times. Each day there are people trying to live with anxiety, depression, sadness. Many of these are young teenagers, young adults. And unfortunately, these feelings are leading to rising sucides. What can be done to help them cope?

Last year I interviewed Mr. William Turner about his book, "A Murder In our Midst". One thing about fiction, even though it's not a true story, it "could be" true. There were thousands of individual experiences before, during and after 9/11. It's impossible to know how the events of that day affected different people, but the book "Palpalble Passions" by Tom Corbett does a great job of doing just that. In todays world the idea of getting a "good nights sleep" is just that, an idea. Most are so busy, they neglect getting any meaningful rest. People work more than one job, or they work and go to school. They have multiple hobbies. Too busy to "rest".

The historical mystery, “A Murder in Our Midst,” is a 1950’s era novel by William Turner that blends period flavor with the race-related themes of Walter Mosley as well as the classic twists and turns of an Agatha Christie novel.
