This was the first and only special episode I did in 2020. Mostly because it was the only event that needed a special episode in 2020 because well the pandemic. Last year Princesse Leonor and Infanta Sofía hadn’t done as many event as they have since then, so it was a big deal for that reason alone, but also because there are so many moving pieces to this awards ceremony.

September 15 is just one of my favorite days to be a royal watcher. It includes several birthdays and one regnal anniversary. It just is a really fun day so I wanted to include it in the throwback episodes.

With only Denmark being left out of the conversation, it was a packed day today. It was the opening of the government in the Netherlands. The Duke and DUCHESS of Cambridge visited some of the helpers in London. There were two royal birthdays and one reign anniversary. The Crown Princess of Belgium is receiving her military training and the Belgian Monarchy shared about that. The Queen officially took residence at Balmoral, and lots of 2020 (1) Olympians were welcomed by their country's royal family.

In today's throwback episode this was the first time things felt a little more normal after the lockdowns lifted. It was the first time there was any kind of in-person interaction with a foreign person. Strangely it was the President of France, who had one of the last interactions with a royal before the world went into lockdown. I chose this episode because it was the first time things were feeling normal.

We also got another new photo from Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel and finally, King Felipe and Queen Letizia were present for the launch of the new Spanish tourism campaign.

THROWBACK EPISODE

This was the first and only mass gathering of Royals since I started the podcast. It was the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION

Today the royals were in Poland to attend the solemn ceremony for the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz, there was shocking royal drama, and it was just an emotional day.

I can't believe that I am sharing this again, but here is what the first episode sounded like. I had no idea what I was doing, other than I was just going to do this podcast. It's terrible and edited horribly, but I completed it, and now it's been 18 months and I hope the quality is much better. Stay tuned this month for throwback episodes dropping every Wednesday and Friday.

So I got sick over the weekend, and I finally have been able to record this episode. It's a bit of a catch up, but it's mostly sports. Or at least that's how it felt. There were also some other moments as well, including Princess Elisabeth at military training camp, the contemporary art fair in Madrid and Sweden's new government, that is somehow the same.
