On this episode of theUncommon podcast we talk to my good mate LeGrizz. Artist, traveller, and all around good guy.
I first met Grizz at an art opening here in Lithgow at a show he was having. I had seen his work but never met him before and I Was amazed at how down to earth and humble he was. A genuinely good bloke.
We get into taking about his art and creative process, his recent travels to Europe just before the world shut down and how he works through tough times when his creativity isn’t firing.

In this episode we chat with the super talented Benjamin Urquhart
I first met Ben getting a coffee in a barber shop, and over the course of a number of months of short catch ups and internet stalking I realised he was my kind of inspiring individual.
On the surface, Ben is a photographer that shoots weddings - but he is so much more than that. When I have to explain Ben’s work I explain it as he captures all of the emotion with none of the fluff.
In this episode we talk about his photography and his art, his commitment to capturing moments, and get an insight into his unique perspective on the world.

In this episode we chat to Tenille Evans (no relation, but we probably should be...)
Tenille is a Chef, Entrepreneur and proud Vegan and the one I credit with inspiring me to go vegan at the beginning of my journey to a plant based lifestyle.
Her business has faced recent adversity with bushfires and now uncertain times with the COVID-19 virus, but she is still moving forward and committed to the causes she is passionate about.
You can find Tenille at https://www.instagram.com/tenilleevans/

This episode we chat to my good friend Andrew Boyle - Fireman, KettleBell Trainer, Businessman and all around legend. I crossed paths with Andrew at a conference over 10 years ago now and we have built a friendship based on a shared sense of values and life philosophy, so it was a real pleasure to sit and interview hime for this episode.
Our chat covers a bunch of stuff, his recent trip to Spain to conquer the Camino de Santiago, the recent fires and what it's like as a fire fighter to face that and a whole bunch around stoic philosophy and living a life of purpose.
I hope you enjoy this episode and look forward to your feedback.

This is the first episode of theUncommon. A background to the project, and exploration of some of the basic ideas behind this new project. Hosted by me - Rich Evans - it is a look inside my life and an understanding of why now is the time for this podcast and project to come to life.
For over a decade I have wanted to share my lessons, my philosophy and my view of the world, but I haven’t.
However, I feel the time is right to begin this new chapter. I have met amazing people on my journey and I now realise my place in the world is that of a storyteller. I am gifted with the ability to tell stories, and I should embrace that whole-heartedly and bring the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to the world. That is what the UNCOMMON is all about.
The UNCOMMON is an idea – it will start with this Podcast, be followed by a book (in progress) and hopefully lead to a retreat in December 2020.
