The feelings of mamawhelm are very real and valid. They can occur at any time and during different seasons of life. Mamawhelm can begin while you are on the journey to build your family and feel greatly overwhelmed from the fertility journey or healing from a heartbreaking loss. Mamawhelm, can occur during pregnancy and it can occur in the postpartum season and wel into motherhood. This is why I want to provide support in this area. To give you some tools to apply such as a nice quick and easy guided meditation. I hope that you see that you are not alone and I hope that you see the strength and resilience I see! Xoxo

Welcome friend to The Oily Satya Lifestyle: A Podcast with me, Darrien Minnie!

Listen along as I have created a sanctuary where people can flock to, to feel supported, inspired, fire up motivation and gain tools to nurture mind, body and spiritual health, wellness, and resilience.

Each episode I will be sharing a variety of engaging topics with the intention to help you design resilience, such as yoga, meditation, fertility wellness, and support and wellness rituals and a whole lot more.

Today we will be talking about resilience.

Resilience has been something that I have stumbled upon time and time again through my 20’s. I have fallen and really had to wade through the darkest. I have had to get back up again and again. We all have had those seasons in our lives that we have had some curveballs, we didn’t get that job promotion, we didn’t fall pregnant when we expected to, or we fell on our face in yoga. You can’t control what life offers you, but you can create and nurture your own resilience. We all can do this!

Resilience defined as the capacity to quickly recover from adversity, difficulties and tough situations in life.

“Resilience is very different than being numb. Resilience means you experience, you feel, you fail, you hurt. You FALL, but you keep going.” Yasmin Mogahed

Designing Resilience in your life!

Grounding Meditation:

practicing mindfulness to get out of the monkey brain

Take a moment to get out of the monkey mind and into body. Then as you Step away from the situation at hand and try and see from another view.

Cultivate Gratitude:

Gratitude really is such a powerful tool as we change our ways of thought to naturally gravitate to a grateful mindset this also can allow us to see that other perspectives.

Love yourself:

Offer yourself self-love and compassion. You are learning, you are trying, you are doing the things!

Constant learning:

GIVE yourself permission that you are human and in Constant Learning:

Give yourself permission to learn and try again and learn from our mistakes and experiences and this develops your problem solving skills.

New Beginnings:

Know in your heart this is not the end, you can pick up and carry on with your expiernce you have learned, Knowing that these hard seasons and situations in life are not going to last forever. New Beginnings are upon us all the time! New day, heck you are having a bad morning, you can start a new day!

Support:

Community- having a supportive community to talk things out is very helpful. I am all about having a strong support group. Role models, mentors, gather a group of people!

GOALS:

Having Goals that you are striving for there will be some sidepaths or twists and turns but having that end goal in mind really keeps you grounded, motivated to keep trying

Practice:

Practice, practice, practice practice! Just do it!

Get back up, try again or try something from a new angle. I don’t see things in my life as a failure, I see them as lessons and gifts and opportunities to learn.

When you are designing your resilience you are learning more about yourself, build this gratitude attitude everyone is talking about.

  1. Some Journaling prompts that I invite you to ponder on:
  2. What is going well in my life in this moment?
  3. Three things I am grateful for
  4. What is one Goal I have this month
  5. How have I shown resilience in my life?

Thank you for listening to my very first podcast! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I have!
