Jarvis Varnado is an Nba Champion and defensive specialist in the game of basketball. Given the nickname “Swat”, he holds the American college basketball (NCAA) record for most blocks by any player with 535, surpassing the likes of Shaquille O'Neal and David Robinson while playing for Mississippi State.
In 2010 he was drafted by the Miami Heat in the NBA draft, and played on the 2013 roster which included superstars Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh (to name a few). In 2013 he won the NBA title against the San Antonio Spurs.

Andre Adams is a former New Zealand international cricket player, having played red and white ball cricket at the highest level. A fast bowler, Andre has over 700 wickets in all formats of the game. Andre has led multiple title contending teams, winning domestic titles in New Zealand and notably in England for Nottinghamshire, finishing that season as one of the leading wicket takers. More recently he has enjoyed his success as a coach, currently as the bowling/assistant coach for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield, mentoring some of the best bowlers in the world.

Hēmi Kelly (Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Tahu–Ngāti Whāoa) started learning te reo Māori as a young teenager and naturally progressed into teaching roles after study. Hēmi is a full-time lecturer in te reo Māori at the Auckland University of Technology. His academic research and writing focus on the revitalisation of the Māori language and translation studies.
Hēmi is a licensed translator and graduate of Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo (The Institute of Excellence in the Māori Language). He is also involved in Māori language planning and revitalisation initiatives in a number of organisations, including his own tribal communities. In 2017, Hēmi translated Witi Ihimaera’s novella Sleeps Standing, and he published his first book A Māori Word a Day in 2018. In 2019, Hēmi published his first creative writing piece in English in Pūrākau, a collection of Māori myths retold by Māori writers and his second book A Māori Phrase a Dayin 2020.

Hayden is a New Zealand Rally driver. He was the PWRC world champion in 2011, and is considered one of the greatest drivers to represent New Zealand. In 2016, Hayden became the first kiwi to win a WRC Rally, competing against the best of the world in a race that came down to the wire. Hayden is a pioneer of the sport for his country, and is apart of a team in Otago that is looking at developing the worlds first electric Rally car. It was fun chatting with Hayden about his racing career, where it started (as a teenager racing with L plates on), and how he managed to climb the ranks to sit among the best in the world. Nathan Foley is an Australian entertainer, and original member of the group "Hi-5". His career has included peforming on cruise ships, earning himself the accolade of Peformer of the year in 2016, the first Australian to do so. Nathan has also been apart of several musicals such as Jerry Springer: The Opera and Mamma Mia. In 2019, Nathan appeared on "The Voice Australia", and was apart of team Delta. His single "She Devil" released earlier this year, with an album coming in the near future. It was awesome to sit down with Nathan and talk about his career, and reflect on what it means to "be yourself". We discussed how important it is to let your passions fuel you, and to step out of the comfort zone to try new things. You are going to enjoy this convo!
Grace Williams is a high school teacher in Auckland, New Zealand. She is a Dean of year 11 at her school, meaning she is responsible for over 500 students in a pastoral role.
It was fun sitting down with Grace and talking about her journey into teaching. From sorting wallets in her former job, to standing infront of a class as a rookie teacher (which I can tell you from my own experience, is pretty freaky), Grace shares her experiences that led her to that moment.
We chatted about how to practically look after yourself, manage those stressful moments, and how to give 100 percent even when you are tired. Grace is passionate about teenagers and their development into successful young adults. I was inspired to hear her "why"and to start looking at the "big picture".
Fraser Grut is a kiwi filmaker who is passionate about dreams.
Fraser started a project called 10,000 Dreams, a mission that will take him until 2044, where he will be 50 years old. Throughout this adventure, Fraser has had the opportunity to film his friends, family members, strangers, and celebrities, stirring up the different dreams in people.
We got to sit down and talk about the journey into filmaking, including his first feature film in his early 20's. We chatted about the creative styles he has experimented with over the years, and how that has changed over time. Ben Sigmund is a former New Zealand Footballer, with over 30 caps for New Zealand's national side "The All Whites", as well as over 180 caps for New Zealands only professional side "Wellington Phoenix".
As a defender, Ben had to work hard from day one to prove he was good enough to play at the highest level. Now considered a club legend in Wellington, it was not always easy for him. Ben talks about how he chose to prove his doubters wrong, and make himself as valuable as he could for his team. We chatted about earning the respect of others, facing criticism, and coming back stronger after disappointment.
Ben was also apart of the New Zealand squad that qualififed for just the second FIFA World cup in 2010, beating Bahrain 1-0 in Wellington in what is considered one of New Zealands most iconic nights in sport.
