As an only child with no family involved with horses, Cassie was lucky enough to have parents that allowed her to try all sorts of hobbies and sports to determine which one lit her up. She started taking riding lessons at 5 years old and never looked back. After nearly two decades of gaining experience working with horses using only pressure and release, she crossed paths with her current partner, Annie. At the time, she was a horse so sensitive to pressure that she forced Cassie to look for other ways to work with her. Annie caused her to recalibrate her training compass to learn about and ultimately prioritize the use of positive reinforcement in all of her equine interactions. This not only led Cassie to huge shifts in her training, but as you'll hear in this episode, also in her entire life.We hope you enjoy this episode!!
