We all know what it feels like to be dropped—by people we trusted, by circumstances we didn’t see coming, even by the church. And when you’re dropped, it doesn’t just leave a bruise—it can leave you broken.
In week one of When Hurt Meets Hope, Pastor Chris takes us to the story of Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 4 & 9), a man dropped in childhood and left in a place called Lo-Debar—“the place of nothing.” Yet when the King called his name, everything changed.

We know that the two great commands are 1-Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. 2-Love your neighbor as yourself. Unfortunately, the church has misunderstood the "as yourself" part to mean loving those who are like us. In this week's message, Pastor Kim helps us to see that loving our neighbor goes far beyond our comfort zone. It's biblical, and it's Christ-like.

He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed! In this message Pastor Chris spends some time teaching on the motivation of the cross of Christ and His resurrection. Many Christians believe that God's original bent towards humanity is one of anger, that Christ came and died to save us from God's wrath. However, the motivation of the cross and resurrection is not anger, but LOVE! Jesus didn't come to change the mind of God, rather He came to change our mind about God.

The writer of Hebrews echoes God's encouragement to Joshua when they wrote, in Hebrews 13:5, For God has said, “I will never fail you, I will never abandon you.” In a time where social distancing is being encouraged, church has moved digital, and the economy has taken a massive hit, we need to be reminded of God's faithfulness! We need not wonder if God cares or if God will provide, we can know!
Take some time to ground yourself in the truth that you are NEVER ALONE!

In this podcast Pastors Chris and Kim Hoyt share some things to consider in regards to COVID-19, the church, and worship. Take a few moments to watch and be encouraged.
There is a Pharisee in me. If we are honest we would admit that there is a little Pharisee in all of us. We desire to serve God. We desire to live a life that is worthy of the love He has given to us. Yet somewhere in the mix we move from living out of the love of God to living to earn the love of God.
When this shift happens in our lives we begin to equate our actions with approval. The more I pray, the more I am loved. The more I serve, the more I am loved. The more I give, the more I am loved. We begin to compare ourselves to others. This constant striving leaves us prideful and empty. Longing even more for the very thing we are trying to earn.
The Answer is Jesus! Our identity is not found in what we can do for God, rather it is found in what God has done for us! In this series we will discover how to identify the Pharisee in us and how to introduce them to the love of God!

A Journey is defined as "an act of traveling from one place to another". When we think of the Christmas story we think about the journey that Joseph and Mary took too Bethlehem. They arrive and find there is no place left in the inn. We know what happens next. They find a manger and it's there our Savior is born. However, this series is not about that journey. This two week series is about the journey that Mary and Joseph take before Bethlehem. It is a journey of identity, trust, perspective, and faith. Sometimes the most important journeys we take are the ones in our hearts. We pray that this series will challenge and encourage you on your journey of faith!
