In today's episode I am talking with you about what to do after you've started using the motivation continuum and have started to workout consistently but feel like you still don't "look" like you workout.

Today we are talking about how to cut the "fat" out of your life.

The fat I'm referring to today are the next couple things that can hold someone back from being an averagely fit person to a very fit and happy person.

I'm talking about cutting out the people in your life who are keeping you in the same spot.

I'm talking about finally overcoming the hurdle of tracking your food and actually understanding what's going in and what's going out.

I'm talking about setting proper boundaries so you can create enough space for you to be consistent long enough to see results and you creating boundaries to allow space for the right people to come in your life who aren't going to self sabotage you.

I got fired up on this one because I remember having to go through this stage (side note you will continually have to do this as you grow...its not a one off) and how hard it is so Im very passionate about telling you all the truth of what it really takes for you all to live to your highest potential!

ITS.ALL.DAY.

I hope you enjoy the podcast and if you did please subscribe and review the podcast with 5 stars to help me grow this channel and get bigger and better guests on!

Today’s episode is my new way of tackling the question “I have low motivation, what can I do to increase my chances of feeling more motivated?“

First thing to understand is that motivation is a feeling which means it comes and goes.

It isn’t binary; you don‘t just have it or not.

Motivation moves up and down a spectrum much like our emotions and feelings do.

In today’s episode I’m sharing with you my concept around motivation.

The spectrum of where motivation can go, the highest order as well as the lowest lows.

If you can adopt this concept you will realize that there are certain actions and beliefs that will either keep you at one level of motivation and there are other actions and beliefs that can move you up and down the spectrum.

When you realize this you see what maybe has landed you in a low state and also give you the confidence to now know how to move up the levels of motivation to the Highest Order.

Below is a link for you to download the PDF of this continuum so you can print and have easily accessible for you to check back on when you’re feeling low.

Also attached is a blank continuum that you can use to fill out for any aspect of your life: Sleep Quality, Nutrition, Relationships, exc.

I hope you find value from it : )

Last week I went to San Diego to visit my Aunt and Cousins for the first time in years!

While on my way back from this trip I realized how much people suffer internally when it comes to their thoughts about their health and nutrition when traveling and I wanted to help them with a new framework.

Today I talk about how:

  • I didn’t log my food
  • My routines were somewhat similar when I traveled
  • I had an environment that leaned towards healthy eating and even was adjusted for my way of eating
  • My trip involved a lot of walking and exploring
  • Trained 4x on a 7 day trip (so trained more on vacation than at home recently because I actually had the time to workout and I missed it)
  • Still had drinks every night
  • Ate all the foods I wanted which included a massive burger, cake, tacos, exc.
  • Breakfast was the same almost every day just like at home so I had some consistency no matter what
  • Brought a lot of snacks for the flights like Chomp sticks, protein bars, LMNT Packs
  • Tried to eat as healthy as I could at the airports
  • Even had 2 drinks on the plane ride home
  • At a certain point I just stopped even thinking about if I’m hitting enough food or doing enough, that wasn’t the point of the trip, the point of the trip was to recharge, explore and have fun. None of those things require a 6 pack to achieve so why care so much about the food and your body when you’re on vacation.
  • I was attracting people into my environment just because I was in such a good mood being switched off from work. That is way more magnetic than a sexy body I promise you.
  • I also made a point of trying to be bold while I was on the trip because I know it’s going to be a little bit til I get my next planned break to keep me going so if I only have this week I better live it up and squeeze as much out of it as I can, so that way I feel good going into another period of disciplined consistency.
  • If you want to enjoy your trip with food and health then you also need these periods of disciplined consistency where you say no to the foods, drinks, parties, exc. so you are in control of your work:rest ratio and you’re not just following along with what everyone else is doing because have different goals than they do.

I hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please like and subscribe so you don't miss on the next episode!

Also if you're listening please reach out and tell me what you like the most about the show so I can continue to improve it!

Til next time!

Today we sit down with Reagan Davis.

Reagan is a fellow online coach who focuses on performance athletes and helping women get out of the mindset that “Smaller is better” and into a mindset around “fueling our bodies for performance will make us happier and healthier in the long run”.

We dive into Reagan‘s backstory and how college athletics and the pressure of college led her into disordered eating. She then learned how to acknowledge it and work through it by focusing on her performance instead of her ”look”.

This began her healing journey and her desire to help other women heal this disorder.

We then dive into the pros and cons of social media and how it can effect our mindsets towards food.

We then go into mindset with dealing with criticism and how to stop worrying about what others think of you.

Then we shift gears and talk about faith and how Reagan is very faith led and focuses on heart posture. You’ll learn what that means in the show!

This has been a big area of interest for me so very cool to hear Reagan share her perspective.

We dive a little into relationships as well and the differences in men vs women when it comes to dating!

I really enjoyed this conversation with Reagan and I hope you all do too!

You can follow Reagan @reaganndavis1

And if you enjoyed this episode please share with your friends and post on your story and tag me! If you do I will send you a free gift ;)

In today's episode I'm talking about TIME!

Specifically this new concept I have around time after visiting my grandparents in their retirement community in Pensacola Florida.

I realized that even if I live to 100 years old, that doesn't mean I have 100 years to do certain things I want in my life.

I only have so much time as a single young adult to do certain things I want in my life. Once I reach a certain age in my 30s I'll be in a relationship, I'll start a family, etc.

So this means that the time you have now to go after your goals is limited, its finite! You won't be getting this time back, so we have to take the risks and the chances now in life because those opportunities may never come back.

I hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please give this podcast a 5 star review and share it on your social media so others can hear. If you share it please tag me @chrispage_coach so I can shout you out on my page and thank you properly!

In today's show I summarize some of the key topics that were shared in another podcast by Chris Williamson and Jordan Peterson.

That podcast was 3 hours long! I've condensed the main topics down to around 20 mins and added my own spin to these topics to make them more relatable to the listeners.

The main topic and point of this show to challenge all of you to take up a new mental framework that states "You are morally obligated to do great things!".

This concept has been lost over the years as our society is getting softer and our everyday lives are getting easier.

The reason why you're obligated to do great things is because if you don't you will become bitter when seeing others around you who have taken the challenge and succeeded. When you see them conquer their fears and realize you never faced yours, you will become bitter...

And when you become bitter, you bring darkness into the world instead of light.

You may think you don't matter but you are part of a collective society and WHAT YOU DO MATTERS!

So this podcast is here to motivate and urge you to go after whatever has been calling to you!

Take the leap!

Alex's Show Notes:

“In this episode, we’re sitting down with one of my favorite humans, Chris Page, for an incredibly raw and authentic conversation. Let’s just say…. We love a man who can admit that he cries sometimes.

But in all seriousness, Chris opens up about how he is currently navigating a toxic relationship and struggling to let go Something that he KNOWS no longer serves him. We talk about using Mirror Work as a tool, to heal our relationships with ourselves, and how profoundly the relationship with ourselves, and our inner child impacts relationship relationships with others that were navigating today.

What is casual life update between friends, ultimately turns into grappling with the spiritual aspects of self reflection, will learning how to embrace these very new and very scary phases of our lives.

Well, some of the things we discussed may seem “out there”, we hope to leave you all with actionable items of advice that you can begin implementing NOW, no matter where you are in your self development journey!

Let us know what you think! :)”

  • The reason I’m making this podcast is to share with you all that I’m not perfect. I may just be a couple steps ahead of you so if I can be that guide that helps you to the level I’m at right now then that’s what this podcast is for.
  • I’m making this to share and connect with all of you and to push you to keep going even if 10 days in you found yourself going back to your old habits, today is a new day. 30 out of 60 40 out of 60 or 50 out of 60 is still WAY BETTER than 0 out of 60 and quitting completely.
  • This may be your first attempt at making change, There will be lessons whether you succeed or fail so don’t forget to take notes and keep working your formula until you have the life you truly want.

  • I’ve been gone for almost 3 months here’s what happened:
  • I had 2 romantic relationships blow up around this time. They blew up because of me tbh and thinking I could manage both of them
  • I tried to keep one of them alive but it was hurting me more than filling my cup up
  • My best friends mom got diagnosed with Cancer
  • My mom and her man got married and I officiated the wedding
  • Soccer season ended and I had 2 injuries I had to overcome from the season
  • I started my newest certification for OPEX which was 2 hours every Tuesday for 12 weeks and will take me a year to finish
  • My dad’s wife had been sick for the last 2 years and she just passed away a couple weeks ago
  • I let go of the relationship I tried to keep alive and that to me felt like someone in my life just died
  • Health complications I’ve been dealing with all year were persistent during this time of high stress
  • My business was slowly declining due to the fact that I was declining as a person
  • The reason I’m making this podcast is to share my struggles with you all so that you can relate and know you’re not alone when shit gets hard
  • But also made this podcast to share how looking back at these last 3 months; a lot of the pain I am going through now could’ve been avoided if I was able to forgo the immediate pleasure that most of my decisions gave me.
  • The 2 relationships blowing up is really what’s taken me out for this long. I did tell both of these people I wasn’t looking for anything serious and that I would be talking to other people but the way I handled it was poor and as a result it caused me more pain and grief
  • These relationships were great in their own ways but they weren’t serving me and helping me become the man I want to be or help my business because if my personal life is in turmoil, as a solopreneur that turmoil will effect my business so I have to be hyper vigialant of who I let in and if you’re out there trying to work on yourself then you need to be just as vigilant so you can avoid what I’ve been going through
  • The reason I made this podcast is to share my fuckups but also to call out anyone listening who is trying to make improvements in your life and ask them “what remarkably stupid things am I doing right now that I could change, that I would be willing to change?”
  • If you ask that question and really want to know the answer you’ll get some answers you don’t want to hear.
  • I didn’t want to let go of this relationship, its one I’ve had over the last 3 years of my life (with me from the beginning of my own coaching business) but in order to be the guy who can lead others, make 10k months consistently, be in quality shape, and have positive habits, rituals, friendships in my life then I had to let her go and its one of the hardest things I’ve done
  • I’m still hurting from it while recording and will probably still be hurting from it long after this podcast is posted but I’m making this now to share with you all that I’m choosing the harder choice now in life in the hopes that there is something better for me in the future and I urge you to do the same
  • I’ve had to do this along my journey plenty of times; first it was giving up junk foods, then it was stopping drinking, then it was putting the weed down, now its let the relationship go….
  • For you it might be a different vice but ask yourself is this vice getting me closer to my goal or just helping me think its okay that I’m never going to reach my targets I’ve set out?
  • If your vice is only for the latter then this podcast was made for you as a challenge to stop your self destruction for 60 days and then evaluate and see if you want it back in your life or not.
  • I’ve already started, now it’s your turn!

Today we sit down in person and talk with Dr. Natalie Jeffreys

Natalie is a chiropractor out of Port Orange FL where I currently live and she was introduced to me a couple months ago when I was invited to a breath work session.

I right away knew Natalie was different, she was able to really tap into the moment and put on an incredible breath work session and that made me want to get adjusted by her next.

Over the last 2 months Natalie has adjusted me and got me back feeling 100% for soccer and for life. Her approach is like no one else I've seen and I'm very excited to have her on today to share a little bit about her story and her approach to chiropractic care!

There was a lot about the history of chiropractic care I didn't know about which was so fun to learn about!

Natalie believes that with the right chiropractor you don't need tools and gadgets to adjust, if you can regulate the nervous system you barely even need to push to get an adjustment, and I have experienced this first hand.

On the other side of this coin, when she does get your nervous system regulated she can really do some incredible things with her hands to adjust what needs to be adjusted.

We dive into how people these days are so out of alignment with stress, technology growing, self healing through chiropractic care.

We get into how you speak to yourself and how you let other speak to you can cause the body to knot up and become misaligned.

And so much more!

I hope you all enjoy the show and if you want to schedule your first intro session with Dr. Natalie you can click this link and book your first assessment!

See you guys next week!

Today we have Dr. Scott an integrative medicine doctor for over 15 years to talk about health optimization.

Specifically we are talking about the supplements Dr. Scott and the work of 3 other doctors created called Troscriptions.

Troscriptions is a company these doctors created to help you feel as optimized from a cellular standpoint as possible right now as you go on the journey of reaching health optimization in your life.

And I can't wait for you all to listen!

Today we discuss:

  • When someone takes tro-blue or just blue where is the effects of these supplements taking place in the body?
  • What is mitochondrial health and why is this so important?
  • Why have the product in the buccal form? Why not just swallow these supplements?
  • What is methylene blue and why is it so important and why isn’t it used in other supplements? I’ve only ever seen you guys talking about MB
  • MB is a nootropic , antidepressant, anti microbial, antioxidant and neuroprotective?
  • The science around the nicotine and the hemp extract. What are the benefits of pairing these ingredients together? Lots of people say nicotine is terrible for you.
  • What things are people taking such as large amounts of caffeine or adderal that are causing more harm than good compared to your guys products?
  • So you guys have a product to help you get up and into a flow, now I want to talk about tro-calm and how this product can help anyone relax and unwind without needing to pour a glass or two of alcohol. So what’s in Tro-Calm?
  • What is GABA and why is it such an important neurotransmitter to want to boost nowadays? Are there a lot of things in our current world that are cutting us off from creating more natural GABA?
  • What does GABA do to your brain? And how does the combination of GABA/KAVA/HEMP work so well together?
  • What the difference with tro-calm vs just smoking weed?
  • How destructive is alcohol vs too-calm?
  • So let’s say someone can’t get their hands on these products (even though they’re very affordable), how could someone increase their mitochondrial function for energy and increase their GABA for relaxation naturally?
  • Where can people get their hands on these products?
  • Where can people find you on social media?

if you want to get your hands on some of these incredible supplement you can go to troscriptions.com and get yours there!

Today we have Catarina on the podcast!

Catarina is someone I've known in the coaching space for a couple of years now and I've noticed the shift in her coaching approach and wanted to bring her on today to share a little bit about why she's made the switch to a more holistic health based approach.

A lot of the reasons for this were shared in the podcast by her story when she got done competing in college for track and after her bodybuilding career she pursued post college.

Her athletic pursuits left her gut health in a lot of trouble and none of her traditional doctors could really help her. She had to go on a journey of discovering how to heal herself with the use of holistic based approach and as a result of this she now helps other women who are going through the same thing.

We get into topics such as:

  • What does holistic health mean?
  • Why isn’t this talked about more?
  • Eastern vs Western Medicine
  • Internal vs External
  • Gut Health
  • Our experience with our own western medicine
  • Toxins for women
  • Why everyone needs to detox but not what they think it is - we need to support our liver (the seed of emotions)
  • Nervous system regulation
  • You can heal yourself
  • How to maintain a holistic lifestyle vs the new ages of technology; should be adapt or stay with the old school approaches
  • How do we connect to that spirit and gut?

You can follow Catarina on instagram @catty_lee

She also has a Masterclass going over holistic based health approaches you can reach out to her about!

I hope you enjoyed the podcast!

Please make sure to like and subscribe as it helps the show grow and if you know anyone who could benefit from this episode please share it with them! It was made for them on a certain level and they'll greatly appreciate you thinking of them!

See you all soon!

Since last podcast about getting unexpectedly kicked out of my roommates house I have had a couple podcasts but then went silent for a little bit.

The truth is since leaving my old place I’ve doubled my business and don’t have to pay rent so I’ve made more while saving more. 3x the income all from a situation that at the time looked detrimental to my life and my business.

I wanted to make this podcast about moments in my life that looked like something terrible was going to come of it but ended up turning out to be some of the best things that could have happened to me looking back because they forced me to grow.

If you want an extraordinary life you have to realize that a life like this comes at a cost and the cost is usually a very painful and tough price to pay. Physically, mentally, financially and spiritually.

And if you’re not willing to pay these cost then you can’t expect to live an extraordinary life.

Sometimes the cost of that life means going through hardships that shape you into the person who’s made it through such hard times and as a result has come out stronger for it.

Maybe there are some stories in your life that you think are the worst thing that’s ever happened to you but in time they were pivotal points of growth. And that’s what these stories of mine are and how they’ve shaped me.

Story #1

Getting diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency at 9 years old

-At the time I didn’t know much about it, I’ve only learned more as I’ve gotten older but Imagine your son is completely healthy and then 7 years into his life he starts slowing down in sports, has no energy, secretly he can’t see when he gets up too fast and all the test you are doing are showing no answers to what’s going on for 2 years until you find out he’s got an auto immune disease that isn’t curable and it’ll effect the rest of his life…

(The story you tell yourself and how you respond to adversity is what truly matters. I remember as a kid just always saying “this isn’t going to make me any different than anyone else, if I have to work harder to get to the same level as another kid because my body isn’t at 100% so be it.”)

Looking back now, that drive to not want this to be a disadvantage for me has always driven me to want to work harder than others, one major issue was throwing up and needing a lot of meds to combat that stress on the body so having this disease actually prevented me from going out and drinking til I threw up and if I didn’t have that restriction I don’t know how my live would’ve turned out.

Story #2 - College Career not working out the way I thought it would

College did not go as planned. It took me 3 years to get some of my first consistent starts for my team. I almost left twice at that point. Almost gotten a DUI and went to hospital for over drinking in my first two years.

This was some of the hardest times of my life, alone at college and the one thing I could lean on being soccer was even gone so I struggled.

This ultimately led to me finding CrossFit and then ultimately my career though.

And throughout there were so many lessons learned with regards to confidence, mental toughness, self belief, and learning to not listen to criticism to name just a few. And these lessons wouldn’t have been learned if when I went to school I just started the entire 4 years I was there without having to fight for my spot.

It ended extremely well my last season with a scholarship increase and a great run of games during my last season. But the biggest thing I got out of it was pride for not quitting even though I fucking hated it for the majority of the time I was there. I didn’t quit when the going got tough.

Story #3 - Tearing my knee last year

Last year I wanted to challenge myself by making on a team as a field player to show people that with the proper training and nutrition you can be whoever you want to be and so at my first tryout after preparing for it I get into a tackle where me and this player collides…and this collision results in 4 tears in and around my knee; and I’m out for a year..

At the time this was very tough, I had hiking plans paid for and ready to go on a week after this tryout I had to cancel. As a personal trainer I use my body to move around the gym and help others but now I can barely walk, and moving my body is one of my loves and outlets for stress and now I’m going to be stuck on a couch a whole bunch resting as this knee heals for what I thought would be a year.

But this injury turned out to be one of the best things that could’ve happened to me. I got to use stem cells for my knee and to prove to my ortho that I could comeback from this injury without surgery. I was already learning kneesovertoes training and getting certified to help others heal their knee and I got to be patient 0 when it came to implementing these techniques and principles so I know they work and now because of my injury I can relate to my clients way more because I went through the same thing they did and they also gives them hope that they can comeback if they see me playing again.

So I turned an injury that people dub as a “career ender” into a business opportunity that is 70% of the work I do today and I wouldn’t have as much success as I do right now if it wasn’t for this injury.

I hope after hearing this podcast you can believe there is hope for you during your hard time that later on as you reflect you will see how this "terrible time" was a gift for you to grow and upgrade your life!

Today's podcast is a short 7 minute episode.

It's more of a question for you to ponder; what cycles of choices, habits, beliefs and values am I currently spinning in?

If you're not happy with where you are and you're like me and you want to grow and level up year after year than answering these questions and bringing awareness to them is vital!

Once you can start asking these questions you will start to see the cycles, and if you can see the cycles than you can begin to break them in order to create the new cycles that will take you to the next best version of yourself!

In today's episode I talk about something that has been at the cornerstone of my personal growth in all areas of my life!

Before I couldn't put words to it in the way I'm able to now looking back over the last 5-7 years of my life.

Today's podcast is all about the power of compounding growth over a long enough period of time to achieve the results you're truly after.

The struggle most of us face in today's day and age is that waiting for something to happen seems foreign in this instant gratification world we live in.

Today I'm going to share a story I had with a fellow coach who was struggling with balancing her career and her soon to be first child. She was questioning whether she should even still coach or not and comparing herself to other lady coaches in the industry who had children and went straight back into work and whether that's something she truly wants or is it something that she is getting pressured into doing from society and the fitness industry.

I shared an example of how people wanting business success at all costs is the same as someone wanting to get jacked in the gym as fast as possible so they resort to steroids but don't realize the ramifications that come with a choice like that. Much like most people don't realize the true cost of rapid business success or success in any area for that matter.

So I talk about in this podcast the same answer I gave her which was to expand your time horizons and focus on 1% gains and recognize how much the power of compounding will get you what you want without costing you all your energy and life in your early and mid 20s.

I hope you enjoy the podcast and if you did please follow this channel for more episodes like this and share on your social media so your friends and family can take these lessons with them as well!

Today we have Craig Coles on the show!

Craig is a mindset and fitness coach I met at a conference in Arizona a couple months back. I heard his story at the conference and spoke with him and knew two things: 1) His energy is infectious and 2) His story is incredible!

Craig was an athlete growing up, he was raised with a chip on his shoulder, a "F**k it" mentality that propelled him in life until he met his first battle with life....cancer.

Craig was diagnosed with lymphoma and had a 20% chance to live. I love Craig's approach to combating the diagnoses which we speak about in the show. It really highlights his belief in the fact that no matter what it will all work out but you can't quit!

It was during his recovery from cancer that Craig had an out of body experience that opened his eyes and his mind to a level of self awareness that hasn't gone away since!

Craig's battles don't end there either; Craig talks about how he's been shot and how he was diagnosed with Cardio Myopathy. This ultimately led to him having to close down his facility, go through a serious depression and have to fight against his own heart to come back to alpha!

Craig brings an energy, a clarity, a truth to how he lives his life and this is how he defines a masculine man, a true alpha, someone who can live in their truth. No matter the consequences. This is what he instils in his clients and the message he will instill with you today!

I hope you enjoy the podcast!

In today's episode I am talking with a good friend of mine Sean McDevitt a.k.a. The Fitness Shaman about his first book "Hack Your Health!!

Sean has been on the podcast before going into his more personal story; in case you missed it I'm going to link it here!

We get into the writing process in the beginning of the podcast before we dive into 3-4 main chapters of the book.

Sean talks about how writing a book was, "very much a personification of the journey, not the destination" and how writing a book is an exercise into finding ways to stay consistent with the writing process and not getting bogged down with the stress of finishing the whole thing.

Sean explains how the book idea came to be during COVID when the clients of the coaching business he has with his Wife Dala (DLD Nation) kept asking him similar questions and Sean started to write all them down and keep in a notebook.

One day he took a look at the notebook and thought “we have a book here”. So this book is an expansion of some of the most popular questions that comes up for anyone going through their fitness journey as Sean and Dala have helped coach thousands of clients over the years!

As we dive into the writing process one lesson I found valuable in listing to Sean was hearing how well he was able to accept criticism albeit after some bristling with his ego and editors on what should stay and what should go in the book.

Sean points out that “the best writers say the editing process is where books really come to life” and how well we can accept and handle criticism (ie. coaching) is how a book our your life can come out.

Next in the podcast we dive into Chapter 1 of the book and a sub chapter that was “Mindset Hacks for Navigating an Injury, and Life in General”.

  • The reason I wanted to get into this topic is 2 part; one because I thought it would be helpful for a lot of my clients to hear since about 50% of my clients are going through injuries themselves and two because of how valuable I found it when reflecting on my injury this last year.
  • One of the first lessons Sean shares when it comes to navigating an injury is talked about how Kobe Bryant helped Gordon Hayward overcome his broken leg by focusing on gratitude and what you can be grateful for when injured.
  • He also goes on to share how an injury gives you time to now work on other aspects of your fitness outside of the gym such as nutrition, sleep, lifting footage, exc.
  • And lastly Sean talks about how we can prime our brains to start looking for the positives in our injuries and if we can do this it becomes much easier to get through the injury.

In Chapter 2 Hacking Imposter Syndrome some topics include:

  • Why do we even get imposter syndrome in the first place?
  • How can we start to get a hold of our imposter syndrome and quiet that noisy obnoxious roommate that Ariana Huffington talked about in the beginning of this chapter?
  • What is a smile file and the highlight reel we should all have in our phones?

-Hacking the Comparison Game to your advantage

  • A 2020 study published in the journal of Nature Communication found that humans have around 6,200 thoughts/day
  • Of those 6,200 thoughts; 12% or 744 of these thoughts involve making comparisons of some kind….this stat blew my mind 😳
  • How can we win this “game” of comparison in our day to day lives so it doesn’t turn into a negative downward spiral?

Last chapter of the book we talked about was Chapter 5: Weekday eating vs. Weekend eating hacks

  • Talk to me about being “that guy” (the guy who takes his health and nutrition seriously) did you take it well? How can others get over the “that guy” stage and not let the external criticism make them stop their journey?
  • How can we help people get over this idea that “planning for the weekend” means I have no freedom to make spur of the moment decisions that are “exciting”.

At the end of the podcast I apologize for Sean’s audio cutting in and out for a couple minutes but at the end his audio comes in nice and smooth so bear with us. 🙏

We close with talking about what the potential future books might be and where you can find more from Sean on social and where you can buy his book!

Today I sit down with my friend Monte Taylor!

Monte and I met about a year ago in Austin TX at a fitness coaching mastermind. Funny enough we actually ended up rooming together last minute as we headed to the mastermind and ended up hitting it off over the weekend and kept in contact since!

A couple months after the mastermind Monte starred on CBS' Big Brother Season 24 and took home 2nd place!

This was a huge achievement considering a couple years ago Monty was working at a corporate job as a mechanical engineer not really sure where he was going to take his career next.

As he was trying to figure out if he wanted to stay in the corporate space, the world changed....COIVD hit!

Because of this Monte was forced to work from home in a sales capacity and was feeling unfulfilled. This is when his fitness journey began.

Monte would go to put on about 20lbs of weight and as a result he was approached by others in the gym and took on a side job as a personal trainer for a little bit before transitioning fully into the fitness industry.

Monte credits a lot of his growth in and outside of the gym with how much work he's put in Mindset Wise!

Monte uses what he's learned through books, coaches and mentors to help his own clients believe they can achieve their fitness goals as well.

He speaks about the importance of gratitude, habits, affirmations, and breath work to help keep him grounded when emotions pop up and get a little bit too overwhelming.

This was especially important when he was on Big Brother and the house started to get empty towards the end!

Monte has a podcast himself on the way to be on the lookout for!

If you want to connect with Monte or apply for coaching with him you can follow him @taylord_fit_

On today's show we have Jason Lane!

A veteran in the coaching space who has a specialization in breath work which is why he's on the show today!

With Episode 84 being about how sleeping with your mouth taped shut can dramatically improve your sleep I thought it best to get a coach like Jason to go deeper on the subject of breath work.

On today's show Jason breaks down breathing from its point of origin as it enters our nose or mouth and gives a detailed explanation of how breath can go all the way down to our pelvic floor.

He explains the difference between vertical breathing (What the majority of us are doing and its not ideal) and horizontal breathing (what we should all be striving to achieve).

We then dive into the mechanics of breathing and how this can effect things like mood, performance and longevity.

Jason shares with us his reasoning for diving into breath work in the first place.

We dive into how your breath and digestion are even connected and how people can start practicing bringing awareness to their breath on a more routine basis.

If you want to reach out to Jason and connect with him for coaching or questions you can reach him on Instagram @painfreelifeguy

Today I share with you the easiest sleep hack you can start using today!

It's all about closing your mouth!

See like me I'm sure some of you wake up with a dry throat after a night's sleep. And if that's the case then you most likely are a mouth breather while you sleep.

Why is this a big deal?

Because when you breathe through your nose you filter air and retain more oxygen vs when you sleep with your mouth open you are brining in more bacteria, getting less oxygen and causing disruption in your sleep from snoring or sleep apnea which is induced by mouth breathing.

In today's episode I break down some of the biggest improvements I've had with my sleep over the past two weeks!

If you want to learn more you can check out James Nestor on YouTube to hear more of his podcast where he goes deep into the science of nasal breathing vs mouth breathing.

In today's episode I talk with all about what happens when your well thought New Years plans get blown up unexpectedly and what you can do about it.

The reality is that sometimes things are out of your control and I'm sharing what I'm doing to handle this situation and hopefully you can get some benefit out of it as well.

Right now I am looking for every silver lining possible to explain how this negative situation is actually a blessing in disguise.

I believe that when your plans don't go the way you wanted them to go its because the universe has much bigger plans for you and they needed to give you a push to make them happen!

During these hard times I've had to ask my self the difficult question "what's truly important" and I challenge all you listeners who are going through a hard time as well to ask the same question.

Because if you want to keep the dream alive there are going to be inevitable sacrifices necessary to make it happen and sometimes the biggest goals require the biggest sacrifices.

I made this podcast for anyone going through a hard time to know that they are not alone! And even if right now we can't see it, the blow up is clearing space for something new and beautiful to take its place!

I hope you enjoy the podcast! If you do, please leave a 5 star rating and review! If you leave a review send me a screenshot and I will shout you out on my page as a thank you!

Today we have Dr. Robb Kelly on the show, an addiction recovery coach who has gone through his own journey with alcoholism which took him form a relatively happy life with his wife and kids, good job, exc. to living homeless on the streets of Manchester in the U.K. fighting just to stay alive.

Dr. Robb Kelly talks about his backstory in the beginning of our show and shares one of the craziest stories I've ever heard which involves how he ended up homeless for 14 months in Manchester.

After that we talk about the differences between alcoholism and addiction; and how there are biological changes in the brain when you are an alcoholic and or if your parents were alcoholics. This means that 3 key areas of the brain are formed differently and this causes alcohol to effect an alcoholic much different than someone who just has addictions.

Addictions are the result of addictive behaviors and creating a loop of habits that lead you to the addictions you are taking. A lot of this stems from childhood traumas that occur at a young age and this is something we also dove into heavily!!

When I say this was one of the most interesting interviews I've ever done I'm not lying! I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I did!

If you are someone out there struggling with addictions or alcoholism you can reach out to Dr. Robb Kelly at (214) 600-0210 or check out their website at robbkelly.com

You're playing this comparison game, and as a result, you don't even pay attention to your own grass because you're so concerned about your neighbors and you're looking left and right, and you just end up not being happy and a little bit bitter until you realize a couple things. When it comes to focusing on watering your garden and this idea, it has a lot of relevance to plenty of clients that I've had, and this concept goes across the board.

It doesn't have to be just metaphorically speaking, watering garden. You know, how many of us have gone into the gym worrying about what others. Think about us in the gym. It's the same thing. We're going into the gym to work on ourselves. We are watering our own, quote unquote garden our body by putting in daily efforts in daily works.

And when we go in to do this, instead of just focusing on doing the reps, doing what's necessary to water our garden, we're focused on the people to our left. We're focused on the people to our right, and we're comparing ourselves because we might have been really excited to lift 40 pounds for the first time today in the gym, and maybe we get that done and we feel pretty accomplished for a couple minutes until a kid who's, I don't know, two or three years younger than you, comes up and hands up, repping whatever you were just doing with seventies instead of forties.

Instead of you being happy at the fact that you made progress and that you did the work and you've done everything you needed to do to water your garden at your own pace and be happy and content about the progress.

Instead, we now compare our progress to somebody else who we may not even know.

Use this podcast as a reminder that true progress comes when we focus on our own progress instead of comparing ourselves to others.

Do the daily habits needed to reap the rewards of those efforts later down the line and you'll never regret those efforts or how great your lawn turns out because of these efforts!

Today I sit down and talk with CJ Finley.

CJ is a former collegiate athlete who played soccer and excelled in school but wasn't necessarily living the life he truly wanted to live.

From a young age, like most men his and my age, we got most of our love and adoration from excelling sports or school. As CJ excelled in math and science he was nudged into engineering went he went to college.

But once college was over and CJ started his corporate engineering job he found out very quickly that this wasn't the life for him! Besides the fact that CJ hated hitting at a desk all day the biggest thing that happened was that CJ got diagnosed with Celiac disease and starting battling a lot of internal auto-immune issues.

The sickness got really bad. To the point where CJ started to question he existence on this earth if this was the life he had to live for the next 30-40 years.

The pain of his illnesses and mental anguish in this career was strong enough for CJ to make the best decision of his life at the time which was to PIVOT and start down a new path.

This decision started with healing his internal auto-immune issues and we go over some of the key insights and methodologies CJ learned to heal himself.

And along this healing journey, other people started to notice how much better CJ was feeling, how much more energy he had, and how much joy CJ was carrying with him now that others wanted help from him to get that for themselves. This is where CJ's performance coaching started.

It was awesome having CJ on the show because I love sharing stories of other men around my age who were bold enough to pivot out of the traditional lifestyle and forge their own path.

CJ is now an entrepreneur who helps other companies and coaches build enough momentum in the beginning stage of their business to be able to thrive on their own in the long term!

You can listen to more of CJ on his podcast @thriveonlifepodcast and you can follow CJ @cj.finley

I hope you enjoy the episode!

Over the last 9 years I've spent a considerable amount of time building a resilient mindset.

This was a conscious decision made after going into college and having to face some unexpected hardships my ego wasn't prepared to face.

Luckily this was also around the time I discovered Youtube and rabbit holes you can go down. I found a ton of videos around motivation which then turned into mindset talks, podcasts, psychology talks, exc.

This is when I started the journey of building a resilient mindset.

There were PLENTY of failures along the way but I'm making this podcast because after this year with my knee injury I have been reflecting back and appreciating how well I was able to handle the tough outcome I had to overcome with my knee injury.

On top of this I would not be recording this podcast or owning my own coaching business if it wasn't for learning these concepts and methods to truly develop a resilient mindset.

Out of all the best concepts out there I have distilled them down to the top 3 I believe are needed if you truly want to create a resilient mindset and share your gift with the world.

  1. BE->DO->HAVE

-This formula was massive for me when it came to understanding how you actually create change.
-Most people have it backwards, most people think it looks like this...HAVE->DO->BE.
They think if they had a resilient mind they'd do more things that resilient people and and have a resilient mindset...WRONG!

-In order to BE someone with a resilient mind you must first CHOOSE to BE someone who now DOES things resilient people do! And as a result over a long enough timeline you will HAVE a resilient mindset!

  1. Make a script

-You need to create a set of beliefs and values that you memorize like a script so you can transmute these beliefs and values into your subconscious mind.
-Much like a method actor rehearses until they fully embody their character you must do the same with your new Resilient Script!

  1. Surround yourself with Resilient People

-If you do this, through natural selection either you will rise with the tides or you will get chewed up and spit out.
-For most of us, finding a group with people who are only a couple steps ahead of you is the ideal group because it gives you a target to strive for while the group keeps you accountable to the standards you all want to uphold!

I hope this podcast helps you build a resilient mindset so you can harness your gift and share it with whoever needs it!

Today I sit down and talk with Ross Tschirn.

Ross is a fellow online coach like me, however we have very different stories growing up.

Ross isn't your typical coach who went through an overweight phase of his life and turned things around..Ross is one of the most upbeat and positive men I've met in awhile and this is after hearing some terrible life events he had to go through during his high school and college life!

One event though, I believe changed Ross's life was "The Selection". This is a show on History Channel where Special Operations Officers places 30 men and women with no military background through the most intense challenge of their lives as veterans and combat instructors from the Navy SEALs, Green Berets, and Army Rangers drive them to the limits of the human body and mind.

The civilians are tested to the limit and very quickly past their limit...

The military personnel wanted to see what made someone stay and someone quit!

Ross was put through this show right after his new girl interest was killed by an 18 wheeler and his mom got Colin cancer, not exactly the right head space you want to be in going into a show like this but Ross needed something to change in his life.

On the this show Ross was given a gift, a lesson to bring home that has changed his life every since!

And that lesson that the Veterans taught him was that life doesn't give a shit how you feel and your mind can go WAY further than you think when you are confronted with adversity!

Most of us live in comfort and as a result has been soften when it comes to handling discomfort.

Thus show taught Ross an invaluable lesson that he has kept with him to this day, It's all about forward movement!

Shark Mentality!!!

This is the motto Ross lives by now and it has guided him to be the type of coach he is today!

I hope you enjoy the show!

In this episode I share how I healed my knee after my massive injury I had February 3rd, 2022 and how 6 months later August 15th, 2022 I got cleared from my orthopedic surgeon!

I honestly can't believe this episode is even a reality.

When I first sustained this injury and saw the first set of MRI images I wasn't the most optimistic about the situation.

But here's the thing....

When I got certified by ATG and Kneesovertoes guy Ben Patrick, I met coaches who had heard of people being able to regenerate their ligaments and avoid surgery.

This was massive for me because it let me truly believe that "This is possible".

Without that belief, I don't care how good your training program is or how good your recovery protocols are; if you don't believe you will heal then you won't heal.

So first ingredient I had was belief.

Second ingredient was the stem cells; some people don't believe in stem cells being able to work to heal things but again, I had people in my corner who knew someone who had done it so the conviction these stem cells would work was there.

And lastly, the training I did was the best you could've possibly done.

WAY BETTER THAN ANY PT CLINIC WOULD'VE DONE FOR YOU GOING THROUGH INSURANCE.

After getting certified in ATG I knew I had a winning formula that would produce results because AGAIN....this program has shown to give results when it came to knee rehab and strengthening principles.

So when I got the results that my ACL has full fibers across 6 months after that SAME doctor told me "your ACL is fully torn its clear as day" I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but the reality is that no one I know personally has ever heard of something like this after an injury like I had!

I wanted to share this story to be that person in your life that showed you "it's possible!". With the right ingredients, knowledge, technology and belief you too can come back from a major setback in record time!!

I will be making a program that shows exactly what I did in the last 6 moths to be where I'm at so if you are dealing with a knee injury yourself please DM and lets see if this program can help you too much like it helped me!

I hope you enjoy the show!

Today we sit down with Jeremey Miller!

Jeremy is a full time videographer, endurance racer, and running coach who I met through social media! We connected a week or so before we hopped on the podcast and Jeremy had such a cool story I had to have him on!

First off Jeremy is only 24 years old! So wise beyond his years, in the podcast we talk about how back in 10th grade Jeremy played sports but never had a massive desire to take those sports to the collegiate level.

Instead Jeremy went to school for political science, a path laid out to him by his parents, a path Jeremy knew soon into school he didn't want to take. So with a foreign exchange program in school, his gf and him went to Hawaii in 2018.

As a challenge to make the trip full of experiences, Jeremy and Bree starting blogging their time in Hawaii and this is how Jeremy's videography career truly began! He decided once he came back that he no longer wanted to pursue a career in law he instead wanted to be a videographer full time.

Jeremy loves documentary type content, much like I do! This type of content goes deep on a subject and this love landed Jeremy in a crew following an ultra marathon runner go from Virginia to California in just 21 days!

This is where Jeremy got a glimpse into Ultra Marathon running!

Since then Jeremy has ran, 1/2 marathons, full marathons and even an ultra marathon called Big Horn!

We dive into Jeremy's experience getting into running and why he loves the you vs. you challenge of long distance running.

We talk about the nutrition and training needed to be in this type of lifestyle as well as what is best for beginners to know if they decide to get into this type of running.

We then talk about how vlogging and showing up consistently on social media has helped Jeremy's confidence, his public speaking, his career and his mindset!

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Jeremey and I hope you do too!

In today's show I have on Kody Goings, DPT, former CrossFit junkie (like me), Mountain biking enthusiast who took a mountain bike accident and used it to create his new "AC JOINT PROTOCOL" Program!

Kody and I go back about 5-6 years back when we both used to workout out of Maverick CrossFit in Melbourne Beach FL.

I was going to see in the area and coaching at the gym. Kody's grandparents lived in the area, Kody came to visit his grandparents for a holiday and came into our gym and we immediately became friends.

This man wanted to do HOURS of CrossFit just like me and all the other coaches in the gym and he was GOOD if not BETTER than almost all of us when he first visited so I already knew he's be a good training partner.

Kody was still in school at the time but we had always clicked; fast forward years later and Kody and I are still friends but I have my own coaching business and Kody has his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and just built his own program based on a massive injury he had this year.

Kody, an avid mountain biker did what every biker does at some point, he crashed...

This wasn't just any crash, this crash cause a grade 3 tear in his AC joint on his shoulder. (Kody explains more in the show) and this left his arm pretty useless for a couple months.

But now with his new program "THE AC JOINT PROTOCOL" he's back to doing 200lb+ power cleans and back on his bike without any pain!

He also shares just how common this injury is with bikers, crossfitters, and just your normal person who falls on his shoulder doing something stupid.

This program can help systematically build the musculature around the AC joint so you can potentially avoid surgery, just like Kody did himself!

All of this aligns perfectly with what I do with myself and my clients when it comes to helping people build back their knees so this conversation was right up my alley!

Alex Long is the Head Coach at VGFN a nutrition coaching company and I had the pleasure of meeting Alex for the first time in late April when we both went to the NLCA live event in Austin, Texas.

We met through a mutual friend and we immediately had a connection as we talked about my mushroom experiences and how she's always wanted to try them. I knew if she was open and curious about psychedelics we would get along!

Throughout our time in Austin during the event Alex had some of the most thoughtful questions to ask each guest speaker and I could tell she was as inquisitive as I am.

But on the podcast as I got to know her a little more I found out the reason she had gotten into this type of work in the first place was because she struggled with an eating disorder in high school.

This came as a big shock to me because meeting her for the first time in Austin TX I would've never thought she had struggled with something like that but being in this industry it isn't uncommon that the reason a coach became a coach is because they went through personal struggles, overcame them and now want to help other avoid the same struggles they went through themselves.

In this episode we talk about all things fitness and nutrition, we dive heavily into self love, what self loves means, body image, how to admit you need help, what drives Alex to pursue hard things, and so much more!

I had a great time having Alex on the show and if you'd like to connect with her you can reach her on Instagram @Alex.undefined_

I hope you enjoy the show!

In today's episode I reflect on the year I've had as I turn 27 on July 25th!

This last year has actually been one of the smoothest years I've had since graduating college even though I had a traumatic injury in the beginning of 2022! I knew this was no coincidence and decided to look back on the last 365 days and ask myself "why was this year different?"

See if you've heard my story you know that typically the biggest struggles and challenges I've been working through since turning 23 have been mental and emotional challenges.

Whether that be a break up with a girlfriend, my parents divorce, going to therapy, gym drama back when I worked at a CrossFit gym and I always seemed to have a dark period of the year but this year I felt like I never crossed into the darkness; even though I had good reason to go there.

Before I go into what could've been the bad I reflected on the podcast about all the good changes I made this year and how they contributed to such a positive 365 days:
-I moved into a place with an old friend and was closer to all my other friends and family
-I started training friends and family in person and built a community
-I got into the healthiest relationship I've ever been in
-I continued to grow mentally and business wise
-I didn't allow negative people in my ecosystem

All of these things made for a happy life this year where as in the past some of those positives were flipped and on the negative aspects of my life.

What's cool to see is that this year I could've easily allowed something that happened to make this year a "bad" one, when I got injured on trail for a soccer team I could've easily let this injury ruin my year.

The reason I believe I didn't let this injury hinder my year was because since the age of 23 I have been working on handling my emotions and my mindset through the struggles I had to go through. And I believe that those 4 years of struggle prepared me for the physical and mental battle I'm going through with my injury.

That means that all those year were worth it!

I share this message to encourage you to take some time and reflect on your last 365 days.

What went well?
What didn't go well?
What surprised you this year?
Did you make progress, stay the same, or go backwards?

All these questions are useful for you to be able to connect the dots of why each event that happened in your life happened for a reason. But you can only connect the dots looking backwards, and once you can see what happened in your past you can set yourself up better for the future!

I hope you enjoy the podcast!

In today's episode I'm breaking down a conversation I had with a potential client this last week.

This potential client ended our conversation saying "lol nvm" after I asked her to get crystal clear on her goals.

This potential client also told me the reason she's looking for a new coach is because her last one didn't push her and let her go through the motions, and here I am trying to push her and not go through the motions and she's running away...this is not uncommon!

In fact, in my line of work I see people like this all the time. These people are your "yo-yo dieters" who hop from diet to diet or trainer to trainer because they still can't seem to be happy with the results their getting.

In this episode I give my opinion on what the solution for this type of person is even if its not what they want to hear. I believe that these people are suffering from unclear goals and unrealistic expectations which is ultimately setting them up for failure.

And what they don't realize is that if they hop from trainer to trainer or diet to diet and still don't get the results they want, what's the common denominator? You!

Its the fact that you don't actually know what you want, or if you do know what you want but its completely unrealistic and now you've set yourself an unrealistic target you'll never hit so now you're going to be constantly unhappy because you'll never meet your goal.

I believe these types of people need to take a step back, look int he mirror and ask themselves "Can I love myself where I'm at right now?" most of the time, the answer is no.

And if the answer is "no" right now it'll still be no when you're 5-10 lighter because it has nothing to do with the weight or the level of toneness you achieve, its about how you feel about yourself when you're by yourself.

The journey is a life long pursuit, stop thinking that you can short cut the journey by switching to the next fad diet or coach, get clear on your goals and be realistic about how long it's going to take!

This is the recipe for success in my opinion and why I shared today's podcast!

I hope you enjoy!

Today we are talking with Brendan Backstrom for the 2nd time and we go over the New ATG Speed Program that just dropped on The ATG Training Website.

After that we dive into what are some of biggest lessons Brendan has learned after turning 25 and the biggest insight he has had this year transitioned perfectly into our main subject of this podcast; how to live life more in the PRESENT MOMENT!

Brendan and I just finished reading the book "The Power of Now" by Eckart Tolle and if you're someone who struggles with a constant chatter in your mind, if you are someone who is either always living in the past or thinking about the future THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!

We dive deep into some of the main concepts that this book holds:
-How the EGO wants you to avoid the present at all costs
-What is the Pain Body?
-How does your EGO identify with your pain body?
-How can we all access The Power of Now!
-The difference between Psychological Time vs. Clock Time
-Practical techniques to get into The Moment with questions, mediations, and thought prompts
-How can you connect to the present moment through your body
-How to find your "𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶" (𝗮 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 "𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱" 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀𝗲, 𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁).

This was a very fun conversation for Brendan and I to have and we know that if you listen and use the techniques, meditations and thought prompts you will find your "𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶" and that should be enough for you to want to continue working to create a life that is as often in the present moment as possible.

I hope you enjoy the show!

Today we are talking with Matthew aka "Keystologevity" a fellow ATG Coach who shares his journey from an unhealthy kid living in Miami being a massage therapist to a full time content creator and coach using The ATG Principles.

Matt started out as we all did in the gym, just wanting to be the biggest baddest bodybuilder in the gym. In his first 3-4 years of training he didn't really see much progress and that was mainly due to the other 23 hours of the day he spent outside of his workouts.

His habits were off, his food choices were poor, a regular sleep schedule wasn't even an idea at the time and as a result he had to go through an invasive surgery that removed his appendix from his stomach as he had an infected abscess after the appendix had been burst for who knows how long.

Once he was able to fully recover he decided to make some serious lifestyle changes and habits and that included ATG Training Principles, getting rid of the weed, alcohol, and even having to let some friends go to make the changes he wanted.

One of the most transformational trips he went on was when he went to Costa Rica in February. Being able to see how the people lived in Costa Rica and being so in touch with the world Matt decided to make some changes to live a more connected life to our world. \

You can now find Matt walking around Miami Beach, in GREAT Shape, sharing his knowledge with the people at muscle beach Miami, and creating content almost daily sharing what he's learned from ATG. He's been able to grow his IG page almost 33k in about 3-4 months and that doesn't happen unless you go ALL IN!

If you want to learn more about Matt you can follow him on IG @keystolegivity

Matthew has committed to being honest with himself ever since coming back from Costa Rica and is willing to WANT to hear the answers and do what is necessary to live his happiest life!

Matt is a great man to hear and listen too! You can hear how genuine his confidence is and it's inspiring to hear!

I hope you enjoy the episode and conversation as much as I did!

Today I sit down with Cali native, Benji-Stark Elster.

Benji is a 21 year old soccer player who is currently recovering from an ACL injury he had last August.

During Benji's soccer career he's had to overcome 3 major knee surgeries to be able to play the sport we both love and a common theme amongst all 3 injuries was that Benji used his time off the field when he was injured to better his life in any way possible.

Benji isn't the type of guy who likes to waste time, he even said on today's show when he had his fist knee surgery that the next day he spent hours playing chess just to be able to keep training his mind!

One thing Benji and I related on was being able to create new goals while dealing with injuries to keep your mind focused on progress vs stagnation.

Benji's injuries were:
-Meniscus tear on right knee
-Right knee cyst that needed operating on
-Left knee ACL Tear

The beauty of Benji's and my injury is that we have the tools using ATG to be able to rebuild ourselves so that when we get back on the field we're stronger than we were before.

For instance, the first time Benji got injured he used all that time to gain size and strength in his upper body while his lower body was recovering.

During his second injury as Benji was coming back he only trained his left side to allow his right leg to heal while at the same time, training his off leg to improve.

And lastly with his latest injury he's used this time to create another one of his many businesses which is Freak Athlete Equipment.

If you are someone who follows ATG training and this podcast and you are looking to get some of the training tools we use to build our legs up such as:
-Nordic Bench Mini
-Slant Board
-Slant Blocks
-Tib Bars

In today's episode I share two key insights I've had with training:

  1. The man who shows up the most will win in the long run.
  2. With injuries you have to find the 0.001% gains everyday!

So in today's episode I share what I've learned from coaching my in person clients for the last 9 months. The results they've been having, what was causing some of them to drop off, how I built in more accountability and competitiveness which you can do too in order to avoid boredom and burnout!

After I breakdown all the strategies used for consistency I started sharing some insights I've had while working with my injured clients and how the perspective of rehabilitation has to be much different than just muscle building or else you'll never make it the whole way without tons of frustration.

Today's episode was a shorter one but next week we will have Benji Stark-Elster the creator of Freak Athlete Equipment and we're talking about all the new gear he's been building so be on the lookout!!

In today's episode I explain the big realization I've had since my knee injury in February.

One of my clients asked me "how has things been going since your knee injury?" and my answer may surprise most of you but it was "actually things have been going better!"

How can that be?!? My whole goal this year was to make it on a team as field player and get ready for the big move to England in the attempt to make it on a 2nd/3rd division pro team. And on February 2nd at a tryout my ACL/LCL were completely torn as well as partial tears to my PLC complex and hamstring..

So how can things be better??

In short,

Because of my injury I've been forced to put LESS on my plate; soccer training and game day activities have been put on hold.

This has allowed me to focus on LESS things but put MORE EFFORT into those things.

Before my injury it felt like I was trying to keep 6 plates spinning in my life:
-Soccer
-Training for Soccer
-Training for Aesthetics
-My Business
-My Relationships
-The Podcast

And the reality was I couldn't sustain it and every once in awhile 1 or 2 of these plates would fall, crash and break all over the floor.

Now with my injury I've been forced to put 2 of these plates down-Soccer and Training for Soccer.

As a result I've found I'm much better at keeping 4 plates spinning and can keep them up because my FOCUS isn't spread thin.

This realization has been something I wanted to share with all of you.

The reason you may not be succeeding in the goals you've set out for yourself is because you're spread too thin!

You're trying to do it all and the result is you're doing all of it at a low capacity and low success rate.

I believe if you take your focus and put in on 3-4 BIG Things you will be much more successful and in this time you may be able to create systems that allow these plates to spin in the future with less and less effort and that will afford you the time and focus to pick up the plates to put down for a little bit and get back to them with the energy and focus needed to be successful at them without burnout and frustration.

I hope this episode helps someone out there realize they have WAY too much on their plate like I did and that they don't need a major injury to intervene and have them slow down.

Take the lesson I learned the hard way and apply it to your life so you don't have to go through what I am going through now!

In today's episode I share with you in about 8 mins why cold exposure can be beneficial for your physical and mental health. I literally dunk in the beginning of this episode in a barrel full of 48 degree water and you hear me breathe my way back to calm before I start explaining the benefits of something like dunking in an ice barrel.

This has been a great tool to use with my in person clients giving them a controlled stressful situation that they have the ability to overcome but every time they do it, its uncomfortable!

Getting better at handing uncomfortable situations like sitting in an ice barrel helps us overcome more uncomfortable situations in our lives.

Today I had the pleasure of having one of my newest mentors Ben Clarfield come on the show today!

Ben and I met for the first time down in Clearwater FL for The ATG Expo about a month ago. Ben is one of three head coaches in The ATG Coaching System to have his Level 3 Certification. He helps Ben Patrick continue to develop The ATG Principles and is in charge of coaches the coaches underneath them which is where I come into play.

Ben Clarfield is one of my mentors who has been teaching my The ATG Principles; the principles I have been putting into place to rehab my knee after my major knee injury I sustained at the beginning of the year.

Ben Clarfield isn't your ordinary coach, he got his degree in philosophy and was on track to become a professor in a different world if it wasn't for his own knee injuries that happened at the time. Ben also tore ligaments in his knee, for him it was during basketball. And once he went down the rabbit hole of research in order to fix his knee, his educational interest changed slightly from philosophy to human movement, training, rehab, Chales Poliquin, exc. and his whole career path changed.

Now after being in the fitness industry as a coach for more than a decade Ben C. has partnered up with Ben P. to and today we sit down and talk about his journey as a coach over the last 10 years.

We go from topic to topic sporadically in this episode I'm not gonna lie haha but there's gems in here for people to learn from Ben!

We get into philosophy, our knee injuries, genetic potential in athletes and how training can maximize your potential, how intent determines whether your training is rehab/performance/aesthetics, hardware vs. software and so much more!!

I hope you enjoy!

Today we sit down and talk with Brendan Backstrom aka The ATG Sprinter!

Brendan and I first met a couple weeks ago at the ATG Expo in Clearwater with Ben Patrick and all the other ATG coaches. Brendan and I connected at the event once I started telling him about knee injury that if you listen to the podcast know about.

As he heard about my injury and how I plan on using ATG to build my knee back he couldn't help but relate with all his previous injuries and the journey he's already been on.

We didn't get a chance at The ATG Expo to dive into that journey but we do now on today's episode.

It's funny that Brendan coined the IG The ATG Sprinter because as you will learn on today's episode, Brendan claims to have been the absolute slowest sprinter at his high school when he was starting. In fact, if it wasn't for his amazing teammates who cheered him on and encouraged him to be better he would've quit a long time ago.

As we learn though, effort alone didn't build the man you listen to today, it actually broke him at first.

Brendan shares how he had numerous injuries in high school and college from running and soccer because he hadn't spent any time on building his body up to get better at his sports and a result the body started breaking down.

First with severe patellar tendonitis that eventually had to be operated on, stress fractures on his shins, a sports hernia in college, as well as a herniated disc in his back all in the space of 5 years...This is enough injuries back to back to break anyones spirit from trying to build themselves back.

Brendan talks about this time on the podcast and how important it was for him to watch the language he used, the people he hung around with, and the beliefs he allowed in his head to ensure he stayed optimistic and hopeful he would find a way to get back to the sports he loved pain free.

And here comes ATG and Ben Patrick!

Brendan found ATG in 2018-2019 and since finding it has gone completely all in with the program, following the principle, and as a result has completely healed all of his previous injuries!

He's now stronger than ever, more flexible, more athletic, and more explosive!

Now after learning everything he has, he is making a comeback in track and using the ATG Principles to get him there.

Brendan's story is truly inspiring for anyone out there with multiple injuries who think they'll never make it back; because he did!

Brendan is an example of grit, determination and strategic training to become the best version of himself and is now helping others do the same!

You can find Brendan on Instagram @TheATGSprinter

I hope you all enjoy the show!

Today we sit down with fellow coach Cody Guilateri, owner of Midpoint Fitness in Melbourne Florida. Cody and I got connected through a mentorship group and after hearing his story I knew we'd have some good stuff to talk about on the podcast!

Today Cody shares his story in how he grew up an obese child and in order to make change he took some drastic measures one summer and ended up losing about 90 pounds in 3 months! Cody even admits to this day that this approach was extreme and very unhealthy, as a result from this starvation diet he had the bone density of a 65 year old lady and had to undo some of the damage he had caused during his weight loss journey.

In the process of getting to a truly healthy state Cody stared to explore a multitude of fitness modalities to get him to the place he is today. Cody has done traditional bodybuilding, endurance training, MMA, Boxing and Ju-Jitsu, ATG training and so much more!

Cody believes that being able to change up your fitness routines and not get pigeon holed into one specific type of training is what has kept him focused and engaged through all his years of training and brings this philosophy into his gym with his own clients! Based on their goals he implements all different types of training focuses to keep his clients growing!

Growth as we talked about on the podcast is one of Cody's main drivers in life and even outside of the gym Cody talks about how he's put work into other areas such as mental health and psychology in order to become a better person and coach!

We even dive into the psychology of human needs and how we make our choices everyday to achieve them! I hope you guys enjoy the episode!

Today we are talking with Dominic Fusco!

Host of the Pure Ambition Podcast!

Dom and I got connected over social media from one of my post and then we ended up taking on the phone for about 30-40 mins the next day! We were able to connect on a lot of goals and passions when it comes to our work as Nutrition Coaches.

Today we hear Dom's story about going from a College Athlete to behind a desk working a 9-5 job in the blink of an eye, I know a lot of athletes who go through the same thing.

In a matter of a couple months after school Dom lost about 10lbs of muscle due to the fact his life went from highly active to relatively sedentary sitting at a desk all day. Dom lost his drive, he disconnected from his inner athlete and it was showing.

Dom knew he needed a change so he started getting back in the gym and focusing on getting out of the house more by running. Dom found his passion again for working out and feeling like an athlete by being able to explore the vast options of exercise now that he wasn't doing required lifts for his team.

He realized one way he can express his passion for exercise was to start making his own workouts and experimenting with all type of fitness to see what suited him best. He then took it one step further and got certified to become a personal trainer and a nutrition coach.

Dom now works with former college athletes who have joined the corporate world and just like Dom lost their inner athlete!

It was a pleasure having Dom on the show and I hope you guys enjoy the episode.

Joseph Sheehey is the CEO and Founder of Cured Nutrition but when I asked him "Who are you for the listeners?" his answer was much deeper than being just a CEO. Joe said that who he is, is an individual on a mission to find what it means to live a life of fulfillment and to make sure every decision he makes is in alignment with his values and showed up in a way where he wholeheartedly lives a life he truly wants and to help others do the same.

Answering the question "Who am I" has always been a big question in Joe's life and it started us down the conversation of "when did this question become a conscious thought for you Joe?".

Which got us talking about Joe's past leading up to where he is now, see Joe used to work for an engineering company Lockheed Martin as an Aerospace Engineer in their NASA Division. He was part of some really cool projects like launches to Jupiter and Mars and that was incredibly fulfilling for Joe's ego but this job and this life wasn't who Joe wanted to be. He was living a life he felt like he was "supposed to live" instead of living the life he "wanted to live".

After some time living out of alignment with his dreams and goals he found himself coming out of a blackout on the edge of a bridge about to end it all....Luckily for all of us he didn't go through it and rehabilitated himself with the help of his family.

We then dive into how Joseph was able to go from almost ending his life to digging himself out of that depression and starting his own business and the successes and failures he had to go through to get his business to where it is and how he's created a business and life that is value based.

We talk about our experiences with psilocybin and how it has helped us both focus on our inner voice that guides our values we hold closest versus trying to live your life based on what other people want you to do.

And finally we talk about the products that Cured Nutrition offer, Joe was also kind enough to make a promo code for anyone listening to the show to try out some of their amazing products!

Use code ALLDAY20 for 20% off any of their products!!

If you would like to learn more about Joseph, his company and what they are bringing to the world you can follow him @josephsheehey and Cured Nutrition @curednutrition (They are shadow banned for going against main stream health so you may find their 2nd accounts unless you type in the full name).

I had an amazing time talking with Joe today and look forward to continuing our new friendship, I hope you all enjoy the show as much as I did!

Gillis Pellegrin of The Educated Dieter joins us today to break down all things hormones that the majority of us skip over when it comes to our health and nutrition.

I was super excited to has Gillis on this week because we dive into my disease Addison's disease and I get an explanation around it I haven't had before. I learned how serious and rare of a disease this is and how it effects my energy on a daily basis. We talked about my childhood and where this first came up in my life as well as some functional herbs I could start taking today to help combat my low cortisol levels.

After we dove into my disease we really broadened the conversation to a more general talk around the growing concerns for people and their hormones right now. The majority of us are hyper stimulated with technology and stimulants that if left unchecked can turn into some serious hormone issues down the line.

We dove into the hierarchy of hormonal issues, being: Adrenals first, Thyroid second, and Sex Hormones last. We then talked about the differences in hormonal issues between men and women in our day and age. And finally shared a lot of different tests you can use to check your hormone status as well as some non-test needed protocols to start implementing today to better help your hormone profile.

I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I did and if you would like to learn more from Gillis and the team he is involved with you can follow him @Gillis331 and his company @theeducateddieter

Today we have Carter Good on the show!

Carter is a fellow nutrition coach who has most definitely walked the walk along with being able to talk the talk. When Carter was in high school he went through a tough time while his parents divorce was a big scene in his small town.

As a coping mechanism to the stress Carter found comfort in food and ultimately ended up weighing at his heaviest 305lbs while being 5'11.

This was a gradual weight gain but eventually had to come to an end, Carter was able to drop about 150lbs and get back into shape and doing so, he gained some recognition from some fitness pages congratulating him on his achievement.

He decided afterwards that he had a love for fitness and ultimately wanted to help others have the same success he had. In today's show we talk about his business, his approach to coaching, how at some point everyone needs to have fitness be one of the most important things in their life if they ever want to find sustainability and so much more!

I was super excited to have Carter on and I hope you all enjoy the show!

In todays episode we sit down with Graham Tuttle!

Graham is a Coach much like myself but he actually only started his athletic career 5-6 years ago. Growing up he was actually the exact opposite of an athlete, this however, was only due to some physical struggles he had growing up.

When Graham was 2 years old he got his pair of glasses because he had terrible vision. As a result growing up wearing glasses he didn't have very much peripheral vision, this stunted his athletic ability greatly. It wasn't until much later in Graham's life that he started lifting as his way into starting his athletic journey.

Graham started with weightlifting because you didn't really need vision for lifting, you can be quite intuitive and "feel" the weight as you lift more than any sport that required hand eye coordination. But something funny happened.

Once he started lifting he realized that he is capable of making changes in his body and any aspect of his life he was lacking in only needed the skill development to get there. This was Graham's wind behind his sails and this started his athletic career.

Graham now is an ATG Endorsed Coach and has a running program specific to helping people gain strength, mobility and confidence in their running ability in 28 days that we talked about on todays show.

We dove deep into the aspect of your foot, and why strengthening them is so foundational to ones life. We get into the history of wear the first foam sole shoe came from and how Americans are degrading their foot strength since the birth of this foam sole shoe.

We talk about how you can start improving your foot health today with 3 tips Graham shares in the podcast and much more!

If you want to check out more of Graham's content you can find him @grahamtuttle.cscs

I hope you enjoy the show!

This last week I had the pleasure of attending one of Dr. Jordan Peterson's Lectures he was giving on his book tour through America. He was speaking primarily on Rule #4 from his newest book "Beyond Order 12 More Rules for Life".

Rule #4 is: Notice That Opportunity Lurks Where Responsibility Has Been Abdicated.

The overarching theme in my opinion was to encourage all of us to bear as much responsibility as possible, why?

Well for a couple reasons:

-The Majority of people these days are avoiding responsibilities and feel like they don't deserve to have success because of their existential guilt for having privilege in the first place and society is trying to cancel anyone who tries to succeed or go against the grain rich now.

-Because there is value in difficulty. Dr. Peterson talks about the importance of making yourself invaluable through doing difficult things and bearing responsibilities because without this your life ultimately has no purpose.

-He then explained further the point of Responsibility and Meaning in one's life, using the story of Peter Pan to illustrate what happens when you avoid responsibility and meaning.

-And finally he talked about the importance of rescuing your father from the belly of the beast with an Egyptian story about The God of Order Osirius and his son, The God of Attention Horus.

All and all I thought this was an amazing lecture and I hope I do his explanation justice in this podcast episode.

If you want to read more of Dr. Jordan Peterson's work you can find all his books on Amazon or any other major book retailer, as well as watch his own Podcast on Youtube!

Today you get to hear me from a different point of view, instead of doing the interview I am being interviewed by my fellow coach Zak Woodward on his new podcast, The ATP Podcast.

If you recall, Zak has been on the show twice (Episode 7&8) and now instead of talking training principles we are diving DEEP into the nutrition and mindset side of personal development.

This side of health and fitness is always something that I personally love getting into because for me the mindset side of things is where I made the most improvements in my life.

In today's podcast I share a lot of important moments of my life that showcase the importance of mental health and mindset transformation.

I talk about my bouts with depression, how therapy saved my life, the importance of meditation, journaling and other biohacking tools to keep myself in the best mental state as possible.

This podcast also helps show anyone who's interested in coaching how it can go way past just sets, reps and macros when it comes to working with a coach and how something going on mentally with you can be the biggest thing holding you back.

I hope you enjoy listening to this show!

In today's episode I sit down and chat with Aussie Keegan Smith, aka The ATG Mentor.

Keegan grew up playing multiple sports, but Rugby and Hockey were his main sports. His dad was a Rugby team head coach and because of that he grew up in and around a professional sports team environment. This helped him develop as an athlete himself, at one point trying to make it on the olympic team for Australia.

In school and university he was always curious but didn't love the traditional school system, he preferred to teach himself because he felt like the teachers at his school were just there to go through the motions. He ended up with a sport science degree but for the majority of his 20s spent his time backpacking do odd jobs to make ends meet because he hadn't exactly figured out what he wanted to do and what his path was. His health fell off during this time.

After multiple years backpacking his felt he was ready to head home; he started training in the rugby gym where his dad was the head coach pushing himself to become better, working with the assistant coach at the time during odd hours of the day. He felt like he could do something with his training and coaching at home but found himself heading off to France to become the Head Strength Coach at a struggling Rugby team.

It was here his coaching career starting to gain some momentum. He helped a team that finished last place the previous year finish around 10th in the table after his first year and then his 2nd year his team finished in the top 4 showing great signs of improvement in their athletic performances.

In was in this team environment he first started to notice how if you put people in the right environments they can achieve more than they previously thought was possible. This became one of Keegan's first interests in trying to solve.

This led to Keegan starting his own online education platform where we would work and connect with other coaches trying to build their business' and help their athletes. Years later he found Ben Smith, the creator of The ATG System that helps athletes bulletproof their knees and increase their athletic potential. This system was the first system that could put a lot of Keegan's previous ideas into a simple and easy to understand system athletes and coaches could use.

After a little bit of time connecting with Ben he created ATG for coaches which is a community and education platform that helps teach other coaches, athletes and the like how to use this system and spread its message effectively.

This is how Keegan became The ATG Mentor.

After this part of the podcast we switch gears and talk about early adoption into the crypto and NFT space; something Keegan has been researching intensely for awhile. If you haven't fulled grasped the concept of NFTs and Crypto then this part of the podcast will help you tremendously. It was great help for me as well.

We finish off with a talk about some philosophy, we dive into some of Keegan's core values, we speak about how family can be a benefit for some and not for others depending on the relationship, and finally we close with a discussion on how it is vitally important to "pursue what it meaningful, not expedient" something that can be difficult in a day and age like this.

I had an amazing time connecting on a deeper level with one of my coaches and think that any person can benefit from this conversation and hearing Keegan share his story and his principles for life!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

If you would like to follow and connect with Keegan more his instagram is @theatgmentor as well as his YouTube page!

The New Year has started off with me getting COVID finally...took me 2 years for it to happen and I gotta say, it was ROUGH.

I ended up having two really tough days but after that the rest of my days haven't been that bad. It did end up making me miss my trip to Arizona this weekend to attend the IFCA Live Event. This is an event put on by my mentors for fitness coaches so we can learn from people ahead of us as well as connect with other coaches who are in the same position we are in.

Even though I couldn't be there in person I got tremendous value from watching virtually and am sharing my lessons learned from the speakers on this episode.

The lessons include things like:

In today's episode we are sitting down and talking with The Fitness Shaman, and we're going deep on why mindset is so important in any transformations we go through in life. Shaun wasn't always a life coach, he started out as collegiate swimmer back in the day. After that, growing up in LA he got into the entertainment industry and thought it would be the dream job only to find out that wasn't the lifestyle he wanted to live.

So he transitioned into a sales job that lasted for 8 years where he started dating and eventually marrying his wife Dala. They build their coaching business to a point where now their company is coaching 1,400 active clients for nutrition and fitness, Dala also coahes other online coaches to build their business and Shaun does Life Coaching with some of these clients as well.

Since Shaun's main passion was around mindset it made sense for him to make the transition into Life Coaching and this is where the majority of the conversation on today's show resided.

We got into confidence creation, masculine and feminine energy, quieting the negative self talk.

Shaun gave some great tips around things like:
-Creating your own Highlight Reel
-Creating a Smile File
-Some book recommendations around Peak Performance.

On top of this The Fitness Shaman also has a book coming out EARLY NEXT YEAR! The book is called "Hack Your Health" so be on the lookout for that next year!

If you want to follow Shaun you can on social media @Thefitnessshaman
If you want to hear Shaun more he has a podcast called "Shots to the Dome"
If you want to see what their doing in their coaching business you can follow them @dldnation

Today I reflect on week one of my new big goal I'm after. If you didn't listen to my last podcast I'd highly recommend you check that out to hear about how and why I'm deciding to make the move to England in 2023 to try to make it on a pro soccer team.

After week one the biggest thing I realized that in order to achieve this goal I've got a lot of planning ahead to make this dream happen.

Things are a little different now versus when I was in college playing soccer, coaching at CrossFit and working on my degree. Even though that seems difficult the reality is that running a business, a podcast, having a relationship and just being older makes it more difficult because adulting takes more time.

Today I share the mindset around why you need a plan of attack if you're going to make some big changes in the 2022 and following this podcast I will break down how I am going to attack this next year to prepare for the big move.

I hope enjoy!

Today I'm talking about why I've decided to quit my prep for my next physique show and why I'm quitting now so I can start training for my next goal which is a big one!

My new goal moving forward is to move to England in 2023 to attempt to make it as a pro soccer player; and to add a little more complexity to the goal I'm actually going out for a field player position not even a goalkeeper. If you didn't know I played collegiate soccer as a goalkeeper but my height was always an issue. I'm not short at about 6 feet tall but for a goalkeeper that's definitely on the shorter side.

In today's podcast I talk about why this next physique show was only a goal of mine for my ego. I also talk about why I think I have the ability to train specifically to be a soccer player and why your dreams need to be massive like mine is right now.

I plan on recording some future podcast breaking down all the logistics and details about how I am going to be training in the gym and on the field, what my nutrition is going to look like, how I'm goal setting along the way, exc. to be an example to anyone out there who is chasing a big goal of their own!

Details matter when it comes to accomplishing goals like this. I'm excited and nervous to take on a goal like this but this is what the ITS.ALL.DAY. Podcast and Brand is all about!

I hope you enjoy!

Today's episode is a really fun one for me, the roles have been reversed!

On today's show I am interview by Max Hernandez, a fellow ATG coach. In today's episode we go over my mental health journey, how nutrition and mental health are connected, and some of my best productivity hacks that help me get my work done as an online nutrition coach.

Being interviewed is one of my favorite things because I love opening up and being vulnerable about my past and my struggles. It's something I don't see a lot of men doing so to be an example to other guys out there who may be going through the same thing is a blessing in my eyes.

I hope you all enjoy getting to hear my story and to hear a different side of me today.

Today I share with you my tips on how to survive the holidays.

For some of us the holidays can be a double edged sword, on one hand it's a time to meet with family and enjoy each others company, but on the other hand it can be an incredibly tough time for people who are working on their fitness.

Temptation is everyone around us for 90 days straight it feels like.

So in today's episode I help take a look at your holiday season from a bird's eye view to help bring some perspective to this time during the year.

We weight out the pain vs pleasure of giving into temptation versus choosing to stay on track. We talk about how to look for emotional eating or drinking and how to make sure that you only enjoy the 3-5 days that are the actual holidays instead of falling into the 90 day trap of snacks everyday.

I hope you enjoy and hope this helps you going into this festive season!

In today's episode we sit down and talk with Marcus Filly. Owner and operator of Revival Strength and Functional Bodybuilding.

Marcus was a 6x CrossFit Games athlete with his best finish in 2016 finishing in 12th place in the world! Since then Marcus has put the majority of his focus in building his coaching business and raising a family.

In this podcast we get to see a side of Marcus most of you might not see very often. On social media you may only get to see his workouts and his epically crafted meals on his instagram and YouTube page but today we dive a little bit into his back story.

We talk about his life from high school, college and his first couple years in medical school and how that journey shaped his decision to choose health and fitness as his method for helping people instead of spending another 6 years in school before ever getting to practice anything he's learned.

We talk about his coaching approach when it comes to Functional Bodybuilding and his hope to help as many people as possible "stay in the game" longer than they ever expected.

We talk about common misunderstandings people have when looking at Marcus through the social media sense. How the most influential people in his life right now are all women. And finally how his focus isn't on legacy but rather on building a successful business that in 10-15 years time will create the legacy for him through their programs and results.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Marcus and wish we could've gone for another 45 mins! I hope you guys enjoy as well!

In today's podcast I talk about the importance of listening to the emotions your body is sending you vs. pushing them down and avoiding them.

This podcast idea came from a conversation I had with a friend who was very low on motivation and couldn't understand why. One thing he said that stood out to me was "I've always avoided my feelings because I'm a guy and that's what we do".

This sparked a conversation with him and that conversation sparked the idea for this podcast episode.

Men have been taught their entire lives "emotions make you weak" "never show anyone you're scared" exc. and this has taught men inadvertently to lie to themselves about how they truly feel.

And when you've lied to yourself your whole life about how you really feel it becomes very difficult to make any lasting changes in your life if you can't first express how you truly feel in the first place.

In this episode I can some reasons why its so important to start listening to your body and the signals it is sending you.

I then share some techniques on how you can start having a conversation with yourself and start tapping into these feelings.

And finally how to notice what causes certain triggers in your body and what they mean .

Once you understand these things and are able to be in alignment with body mind and spirit you will start living each day with more fulfillment and more energy.

This will mean you won't need to rely on motivation as much and you won't let your feeling bottle up inside you until they explode like I used too before I went to therapy and learned these skills myself.

I hope you enjoy!

-Cody's upbringing from high school and his first weight loss journey that sparked his interest in this field.

-We dive DEEP into some mindset conversations about: personal development, how to grow self esteem and confidence, the importance of mentorships, and telling the truth about where you are and where you are looking to go if you want to be successful.

In today's episode we have the honor of sitting down to talk with Psychedelic Pioneer and Researcher Dr. James Fadiman!

In today's conversation we dive into what got James into psychology and psychedelics in the first place. We go into his first experiences with psilocybin while in Paris with his mentor Richard Albert (now know as Ram Dass) and then his most profound experience he had months later in the US that expanded his consciousness so much that it hasn't contacted since.

We dive into the differences between a large dose of psychedelics vs. a micro dose and the benefits for both of them.

We talk about how people can use Microdosing in their everyday lives and the positive effects it has on people in their health, mindset and relationships.

We go over how Microdosing can benefit people trying to lose weight or perform better in their sports or their career.

Then we dive into his most recent book "Your Symphony of Selves" and the idea of multiplicity vs. singular selves. We go deep into the meaning behind this and how it applies to our every day life's!

We then talk about how our body reacts when we do not allow these other "selves" to be expressed in our worlds.

It was a great pleasure to be able to sit down and have this conversation with Dr. Fadiman and I hope you can take some great insights from our conversation.

If you would like to purchase his books you can on Amazon or anywhere else books are sold!

In today's episode I talk with another business mentor of mine Travis Dalrymple. Travis has an incredible story about how he has spent the last 10 years of his life after dropping out of college at Virginia Tech.

Travis had no problem getting though classes in school but quickly realized after his first year in college he had no idea what he wanted to do and that the college system wasn't really working out for him in order to help him find an answer to his dilemma of life after college.

Luckily after joining a fraternity in college a group of his friends performed a black light dance routine for a philanthropy event that went viral on Youtube back in 2009. This dance routine actually landed them in New York City to audition for America's Got Talent, and you know what? They placed third overall!!

This was the perfect distraction for Travis since he still didn't know what he wanted to do. Right after finishing 3rd on America's Got Talent Travis and his friends were invited to go on tour with AGT and they ended up traveling to 38 different cities performing their routine. At this point Travis and his friends decided to dropout of college and pursue this performance career and see where it took them. And in short, it took them all over the world! Travis and his crew Fighting Gravity traveled the world performing and still do to this day.

While Travis was living in New York working with producers to try and take Fighting Gravity on Broadway, he stumbled into a CrossFit gym and even though he got destroyed in the workout he wanted more. This turned into a job as a coach in the gym and eventually a managerial role over the next couple years.

After awhile Travis realized that the in-gym business model wasn't going to give him the freedom or lifestyle he wanted and when COVID hit Travis pivoted to online coaching where his business has thrived. This is where Travis and I's paths crossed. Travis has built an incredibly successful online coaching business and now helps other coaches build theirs.

He is a shining example of how you can create the life you want to live without having to follow society's traditional work life route. I thoroughly enjoyed our talk today and I hope you do too!

If you are looking for help losing that 15-25lbs you've put on years ago I do have 5-7 spots available for 1:1 coaching where you can click the link below to apply. And if you listened to Travis and I talk about the benefits of online coaching vs. in person you will hear how much more beneficial online can be! Today we sit down with one of my mentors Hayden Weichers. (Who by the way is the same age as me and yet blows me away with his business success.)

When I first started my online coaching business Hayden was the first guy I talked to in order to join my mentorship group IFCA. Hayden is a master at sales, being able to read body language and has used these skills to create multiple 6 figure earning businesses but it didn't start out that way for him.

Hayden used to be a collegiate college football player, and a good one at that! And in our talk today he shares the unfortunate situation he was put in that landed him in a federal jail for marijuana distribution, solicitation, exc. This caused him to get kicked out of school, unable to work at a regular job and the entire state of Utah labeled him the poster child of fuck ups.

Hayden was able to clear his name for most of the charges but as a result he had to take a very untraditional route to financial success and he shares his whole backstory into business that has lead him where he is today.

We talk about reasons why most 26 year olds won't break free of the societal norms to create the life they want to live, the importance of keeping your circle small, eliminating all negativity in our environment in order to succeed, and how most guys our age only want to be successful to show off their success instead of doing the non-sexy things to make it financially.

After that we talk about how important his wife has been throughout this entire journey, what fatherhood is like, what he wants to instill in his daughter as she grows up and the importance of communication between his wife and himself while running their businesses and raising a child.

Hayden is an absolute beast and I'm extremely grateful to call him my mentor and my friend so I hope you guys enjoy this podcast as much as I did! If you enjoyed this podcast please take a screenshot and tag both Hayden and I we would love to reach out and thank you for listening!
If you want to reach out to Hayden you can find him on instagram @haydenweichers.

And if you are looking for coaching in your health and fitness I do have 5-7 spots available for the right person and you can apply for coaching by clicking the link below!

In today's episode we talk about 3 techniques to confront your fears:
-Exposure Therapy
-Immersion Therapy
-Talk Therapy (CBT)

These 3 techniques have been tremendous to my progress in my life whether it's my physical health, my mental health, my relationships and my friendships.

-Exposure Therapy is a way for you to START SMALL in confronting your fears. An example would be; the gym scares you. A way to confront this fear would be going to the gym at their "dead hours" so there isn't a lot of people and over time you will be able to go to the gym when it's packed and not care about the other people through exposure therapy.

-Immersion Therapy is a little different, instead of starting small immersion therapy is all about GOING ALL IN! This is when you dive in the deep end of the pool vs. walking in step by step slowly.

-Talk Therapy, now disclaimer** I am not a therapist but I have gone to therapy for years and in this podcast I talk about my positive experience in going to therapy and being able to voice your fears to a professional. If the other 2 techniques didn't work then I would suggest finding a therapist where you can try out Talk Therapy or CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

I hope you enjoy!

Today's deep dive into why I think it's important to transform your body. I talk about my struggle as a coach to market to potential clients using the surface level topics of fitness and nutrition (weight loss, cardio, calorie tracking, exc.) when my favorite things to dive into are the mindset pieces that surround your transformation being successful or not.

I lay out a reoccurring path I see so many people take that is "safe and comfortable", something I don't believe will give you a fulfilling life. And instead I talk about the hard things you have to look at in order to have a fulfilling life.

This was a really fun podcast for me to have and I hope you enjoy it!

Today's episode is a quick little Monday Motivation! Today I talk about 3 reasons why every man needs fitness in his life.

The 3 reasons are:
-Fear Reduction
-Confidence
-Energy Enhancement

I believe every man who goes into the gym and actually changes his body will experience these 3 effects.

They will have much less fear in social situations due to their increased strength and ability to defend themselves if necessary.

They will gain more confidence in all areas of their life because they proved to themselves that they are the creator of their experience here on this earth and by proving to themselves they can change their body they realize they can change anything.

And they will increase overall energy from the effects of consistently going to the gym, having a solid nutrition based diet, getting good sleep, hydrating, exc.

A lot of men have yet to experience the power of creating the body of their dreams and today's episode is a reminder and motivation for these men to start today in this pursuit!

I hope you enjoy!

In this episode I share some lessons I learned from getting my wisdom teeth taken out and how I first handled the pain of the surgery wasn't helping me mentally, it was only making things worse.

I realized that where your focus goes your energy flows; and if I was focusing only on the pain of my mouth then all that was amplified in my life was the pain in my mouth and it caused me to be very irritable this last week.

I couldn't help but correlate this pain and negative attitude I was experiencing to someone else who was going through their own weight loss journey/physical transformation and how if they only focused on the negative then their experience is going to be negative.

So in this podcast I share how I instead put my focus on things I can control:
-Focused on hitting my steps
-Focused on reading 10pgs./day
-Focused on my meditation

And by focusing on these aspects of my day and hitting these mini goals I was able to create small hits of dopamine and these small hits of dopamine allowed me to focus less on my teeth and the pain I was experiencing.

I believe if anyone out there is on their own journey the more you focus on small, achievable targets you will create small dopamine hits that will give you the motivation to keep going!

I hope you enjoy the episode!!

In this episode I share the reality of my current living situation and why I'm moving out to go live with a roommate in order to keep going after my dreams and goals. I've been living in this apartment for a year and at this point financially it just doesn't make sense to keep paying the amount I am because it will only cause more stress than relief.

As much as I love this place and being able to live on my own, right next to the beach and the river, I love being able to chase my dreams more.

In this episode I talk about the infinite game vs. a finite game and how my business, my health and my relationships are all infinite games and the only way to "win" an infinite game is to outlast the other competitors. And in order for me to do that, I have to make sacrifices and today's sacrifice is giving up my apartment so I can pay less per month and keep chasing my goals.

The reason I'm sharing this is to give my own real life example of what it takes to achieve your goals much like someone listening to this may have to make financial sacrifices to be able to afford a coach, gym membership, healthy food choices, exc. to be able to chase their own dreams. But most of us don't do this, most of us instead choose the more financially taxing choice in order to keep up appearances and "keep up with the joneses" and this isn't helping you in any way. It's only protecting your ego. It's trying to play a finite game.

I hope you enjoy the episode and choose your dreams over looking fancy for people who ultimately don't matter!

In this episode I cry on air for the first time full disclosure. This was recorded 2 days after I visited my GMA in Virginia and ultimately right before she passed away. While I was over in VA I came back with 3 lessons that my grandparents taught me without them even knowing.

  1. I learned my GPA was and still is a badass even though he passed away 5 years ago. He truly set the standard in my opinion of what it means to be a man in the Page Family.
  2. I learned that when you take a trip like this that isn't a "vacation" doesn't give you permission to slip up on your goals, it just means it's going take more discipline and effort to stay on track.
  3. I learned that sometimes all someone wants is to see you and to be in your presence because it makes their day a little bit better.

I wasn't expecting to come back with these insights after seeing my GMA but when I came back from this trip I couldn't help but share this insights with you all.

I hope you enjoy the episode!

Today I talk about the importance of self talk.

In this episode I wanted to hammer home the idea that seeking negatively to yourself is only hurting your chances of reaching your goals. I talk about a mindset coach and performance expert Trevor Moawad and the research he's done on negative vs. positive thinking.

And what he found was that Harvard did a study on this; they found that when someone speaks something out loud, those were have 10x the strength than if they were just thought in ones head. On top of that they found that if what was said out loud was negative that those words were a multiple of 4-7x stronger just because the words had a negative connotation.

So that means that if you were to say something negative about yourself out loud that those words now have 40-70x the strength then a negative thought that was just running through your head.

This stat blew my mind!!

I share Trevor's concept of "neutral thinking" for those who simply cant make the jump from negative thoughts to positive ones, neutral thinking might be the bridge to that gap.

And lastly I talk about how the past isn't predictive to your future, if you change your behaviors. Your behaviors are way out ahead of any success you're after so if you want to make some serious changes in your life that start looking at what behaviors you need to change and you'll find yourself getting much closer to those goals much faster once you start changing your behaviors in accordance with your goal.

I hope you enjoy and if you did please share this podcast with someone you know has a little too much negative self talk or self deprecation! I'm sure they will appreciate it!

Today I wanted to give you two frameworks to work with when it comes to setting BIG goals and actually achieving them! This concept is called The Clouds and The Dirt.

The Clouds=Your BIG dreams that pull you out of bed every morning and make each day matter! This is the peak at the end of your hero's journey.

The Dirt = The actual day to day tasks required to achieve such a big and audacious goal.

This concept was first shared with me by a guy named Gary Vaynerchuk 5 years ago and its stuck with me since.

The Clouds = Your goals have to be so big that on the days you're sick of The Dirt you can look up and remember WHY you're doing this work. It's for something bigger and better. Something bigger than just you, its about leaving an impact on the world, your community, your clients, your family, exc.
Because without a goal this big, on the days when The Dirt feels like shit, you'll quit because "what's the point?"

The Dirt: This is what I believe separates the average from the Truly Great Achievers in the world. The Dirt are your daily habits, your daily checklists, that move you 1 step closer to your goals. And based on how big your goals are will determine how many days you have to live in the dirt before you ascent to the clouds.
You must love The Dirt! The Dirt is where character, grit and your identity are developed. It's the Hero's Journey. The best of the best, love rolling their sleeves up and getting to work because IT'S WHO THEY ARE!

As you listen to this podcast you will hear me talk about how you must CHANGE:

  • What you do
  • What you value
  • What you believe

In order to become the person you've always wanted to be. And the process of becoming that person is hard work, its messy, it isn't fair, and you live in The Dirt for awhile...but its the only way you reach your goals and actually make it to The Clouds.

Hope you enjoy!

Today I break down a very common way of thinking that has some benefits but mostly has a detriment to your health and fitness journey and that's Black & White Thinking! All in or all out! Good or Bad!

Pros:
-Safety purposes (ex.-telling children that you're never allowed to play in the streets or to look both ways before crossing a busy street)
-Time management and productivity; when you set a timer to work and focus you do not stray away from that allotted time or else you won't get as much done as you could.
-Things like domestic abuse have a black and white thought ideal around them.

Cons: (Far outweighs the pros)
-Limits our options; only gives us two choices, success or failure.
example- Labeling foods "Good" or "Bad" (this is very common)
-Can cause depression or anxiety; because either the person is happy or the person is completely sad.
-Anger; because either the person gets exactly what they wanted or anything other than that is pointless in their eyes.

Solutions for B&W Thinking:
-Recognize Context: What is good for 1 person could be bad for another depending on the context. Context is king and the more context you have the less likely you will be thinking in B&W thoughts.
-Use a scale of 0-10 instead of only B&W options when asked how you're feeling, how is progress, exc.

Hope you enjoy!

Have you ever struggled to stay consistent with tracking your calories and foods you are eating? If you answered yes then this podcast is for you!

In this episode I share my own story with this struggle of tracking calories. I share about how I had to first get used to asking for help, I had to admit I didn't have the right strategies to be successful in my fitness and nutrition, and once I did this I started to have success.

One of the biggest things we all have to admit is that "I am wrong". And that can be tough but the good news is so is everyone else. We just don't admit it, because if we admit that we're wrong that means we have to make a change and that is UNCOMFORTABLE!

But without the discomfort, you will not make the changes needed to improve your health, spiritual connection, relationships, or your business!

So it's time to have that uncomfortable conversations with yourself so we can actually achieve the results we want!

Today I had the honor of sitting and talking with Kevin Davis about his book, "Why Normal People Do Some Crazy Things Nine Fundamentals of Human Behavior".

In our time together Kevin and I went very deep into some of these fundamentals and how they play out in our day to day lives. We talk about the importance of having the awareness that you are exhibiting some of these human behaviors. We dove into the power dynamics in most relationships whether they are intimate, work related, or Internal within ourselves.

Kevin also explained the difference between the Masculine and Feminine qualities we all have and what an immature and mature version of these archetypes look like and how to cultivate this mature version.

We dive into why everyone is terrified and therefore unreliable...until they're not (Fundamental 1) and the importance this perspective can have on anyone's life.

And finally, we talked about how someone can cultivate a genuine interest in changing their lives because interest is 50% of the equation!

I hope you enjoy!

In the episode, I share one of the mindsets I've used to transform my body, being (spiritual side), balance (relationships), and business. And that mindset is that "It's all my fault" the epitome of personal responsibility. Because if you can't admit you played a role in something good or bad happening to you then that means you give all responsibility to someone or something outside of yourself. Which means you have no control over whether that happens again or not.

The reason we admire someone who creates a beautiful body or learns a skill, instrument, or PR's in the gym is because we know that that the only answer to the question "How did they do that?!" is that they took personal responsibility to make it happen.

And that is what I want for all of you listening! To take the personal responsibility to create the life you want to live!!

Today we sit down with a fellow Nutrition Coach Vanessa Gillette and she talks about her journey from being a D1 Equestrian athlete at the University of Georgia and never truly feeling like an "athlete" as she struggled with her weight throughout college. She then went onto starting her life in the corporate world post college and never really loving the jobs she was in albeit she was an excellent worker she didn't have the passion for it like she wished.

It wasn't until she started CrossFit and hired a coach herself that she was able to start making some head way on her weight loss journey. In the process of changing her body she found a deep interest in learning what was going on in her body and eventually became the person her friends would come to for advice on how to get in shape. From there her coaching career began and as recently as this last year was able to make more money in her coaching career then her accounting job and now has gone full time in her coaching business.

In this podcast we talk about:

  • How her relationship with food changed over the years and how to remove the labels of "good" or "bad" when it comes to eating.
  • How to handle adversity and set backs when your weight loss isn't happening as quickly as you would like.
  • Proper expectations for a weight loss journey
  • The power of flexible dieting

Have you dieted for years? Has your diet worked less and less over the years? Can you not lose weight when you diet now?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you most likely are in need of a reverse diet. A reverse diet is basically a phase in your diet where you reintroduce the calories you've taken away to restore homeostasis in the body and your metabolic system. Without doing this you run the risk of metabolic adaptation, hormonal imbalances, and overall lack of energy and performance in the gym and in life.

When I start with every client I've ever had I take them through a reverse diet and explain the why behind this so today I'm sharing that knowledge with all of you. Without a proper reverse diet/maintenance phase your diet overtime will become unsuccessful due to metabolic adaptation.

I hope you find this episode informative and entertaining as I compare your metabolism and eating habits to a relationship where you've been cheated on for YEARS! It's a good story haha enjoy!

Have you ever heard "You can out train a bad diet"? Have you ever been told that working out is about grinding non-stop 24/7 When you work out are you always trying to do more, lift more, go faster, go harder, exc.

Well Today I'm bursting your bubble...More is not always better. Sometimes more does more harm than good; especially when it comes to weight loss.

In today's episode I break down why less is actually more and how society and the fitness industry will tell you otherwise just to get you to buy their supplements or start some "fat burning bootcamp". I talk about the importance of stress reduction when in a fat loss stage. I break down how an abundance of stress actually causes your body to hold onto weight as a safety mechanism.

Lastly I talk about how to adopt the less is more mindset and play the long game when it comes to your health and fitness. I hope you enjoy!

In this episode I share all my secrets to tracking your meals. I also go into the pros and cons of tracking calories and macros for anyone who is considering using this method. If you've ever tracked your finances, your weights lifted in the gym, or your mileage driven for taxed then you know the importance of tracking calories.

My argument is that the awareness you gain from tracking your calories for 1 year of your life will be priceless in the long run because you will have a newfound awareness around how much food you need to look good, move well, and have plenty of energy to live life without needed to "diet" ever again.

Once you achieve the physique you desire, knowing how many calories and macro counts you need to sustain that physique is what people are truly after in my opinion and that's what I talk about on this episode.

Hope this helps!

In today's episode, I give a first-hand account of my last 4-6 months in my bulking phase. The reason for this episode is to shine some light on the importance of a bulking phase so a client avoids the "skinny fat" look. I will also be talking about things to expect in a bulking phase physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I hope this episode helps one person have some more clarity and trust in the process whenever their coach puts them through a reverse diet or a bulking phase.

In this episode I explain my journey and thought process when it comes to achieving my goals. Whether it was hitting my protein goals, excelling in sports or in the gym they all had one action in common; immersion!

I was completely immersed in whatever I did. I would watch videos, read books or blogs on whatever topic I was fascinated with and that total immersion was one of the qualities that led to so much of my success. If you are someone struggling to hit your protein goals become immersed in your program! Don't pay for a coach only to continue to put your health and fitness on the back burner. Become passionate about your goals and they become more fun and easier to achieve.

Disclaimer, this episode was created for the sole purpose of educating people on this taboo topic that is psychedelics and their mental health benefits.

In today's episode my fellow online coach Austin Bagshaw hops on the podcast to learn about the benefits of psychedelics and other substances like weed and how they can benefit someone's mental health and even there fitness journey.

In this episode we cover: weed, DMT, MDMA, LSD and Psilocybin. We go over some studies found on the benefits of psilocybin in psychotherapy and how some states have already approved this substance as a legal treatment for someone with tons of anxiety, depression, or PTSD.

This episode is meant to shed light on a taboo subject, it's meant to give our honest experiences with these drugs and how they have benefited our own lives. If you enjoy this topic I've listed a couple of resources below for you to continue your own research.

In today's episode, I go over 10 reasons to workout! I want to clarify that I don't believe these to be the biggest and best (morally speaking) reasons to workout. However, if I'm being honest when I first started my fitness journey I relied on some of these external motivators when my internal motivators were lacking.

So as much as some of us don't want to admit that these 10 reasons would motivate them, I still wanted to put them out for you so you can write them down and use them (without admitting it to anyone) when motivation is low.

10 Reasons to workout:
-Swimsuit Season
-Write down the names of the people who expect you to fail
-Write down list of friends that think they're better than you
-Being strong!
-Feeling good about yourself
-Succeed in life
-Have the dream life!
-Going to the gym is fun
-The opposite sex

Today I break down my framework that I use with every client and the listeners an overview of how I would set up their nutrition for the year in a way that allows them to be shredded during summer, only diet for 3 months of the year, and sustain this cycle for the rest of their lives.

It's called nutritional periodization, the premise is this:

Your diet should be treated much like a sports seasons-
Pre-season (preparing for the diet, habits being built, limiting beliefs being reframed, exc)
In-season (actively dieting; strict macro followings, reducing nights out, discipline)
Post-season (Recovering from the diet, increase food slowly back to maintenance)
Off-season (Maintenance or surplus to sustain or increase muscle mass)

REPEAT!

This cycle will allow you to have different seasons throughout the year so you're not "dieting" 24/7. This is where people experience burnout.

This also allows clients to have periods of the year where they are focusing less on their diet and more on things like:
-Strength gains in the gym
-More time with family and loved ones
-Having fun outside of the gym
-Focusing on their business
-Rest and Recover

I've found tremendous results with myself and my clients using this framework so I encourage you to get a calendar and ask yourself when do you want your seasons to be? Then start back tracking from there.

If you need help with your nutrition and fitness you can click the link below and apply for coaching; we will hop on a quick 10 min call to see if we'd be a good fit!

Today's episode was recorded in a hotel room with myself and 3 other fitness coaches I met for the first time at a Mastermind event in Ohio. We are all mentored by Erin Dimond and Jordan Dugger and after hanging out all day and getting to know each other we decided to sit down and share each others stories of how fitness has impacted our lives. We go down multiple rabbit holes and rants so strap in because this is a longer episode (about an hour) but I believe there is tons of value being a fly on the wall during an open and honest conversation with Austin Bagshaw, Madison Litchtfeld, Yari Rincon and myself. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Today I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with my man Jeremiah. Jeremiah is the creator of BairFit which is his online training platform. I met Jeremiah a couple years ago at the airport in Seattle before heading to a Cody McBroom Mastermind event that weekend. We recognized each other from social media and got to talking about our backstories and where we wanted to take our coaching businesses. It was really cool to meet another online coach for the first time.

Over the weekend we spent most of our time focusing on our own businesses that we didn’t get a chance to really sit down and talk about training and nutrition and I knew I wanted to pick his brain. After looking at his content I could see he loved learning about training methodologies and had great information to share.

So today we sit down and we talk about Jeremiah’s journey through fitness and how they reluctantly lead to coaching, we talk about the inner work needed to take your fitness to the next level and then we go off on some training tangents, these conversations are very much great information for any client wanting to learn a little bit more about the why behind your programming and how based on your lifestyle factors we can create a program that meets your needs.

This was a super fun conversation for me where I left feeling like I learned a great deal about some new techniques that I can implement with my clients so if you’re looking to learn make sure you have a pen and pad ready to take some notes on this one.

Today I sit down with my good friend Karon Hawkins aka Coach Kronic. I met Karon at a mastermind hosted by Cody McBroom in Seattle. We started by going around stating our goals with our business and when it came to Karon I distinctly remember him saying "I want to build an empire" with the utmost certainty and I immediately wanted to get to know him more because greatness recognizes greatness. In the episode, we get into some of that trip and our night out on the dance floor.

We also get into the backstory that brought Karon into coaching clients in person and online. This was not the initial career he had in mind and actually, after getting his first degree in information systems and business, he got a job at Time Warner Inc. as a cybersecurity analyst.

This was the first time Karon experienced what financial security felt like and to his disappointment he found dreading work in the morning despite that financial security. It didn't fulfill him in a way that excited him every day, the reality was he never had one day like that for a year so he left in pursuit of a Master's Degree in Health and Physical Activity. This was surprising to a lot of friends and family because Karon grew up unathletic, in drama classes, and a dancer but this passion was something he's never experienced before.

One of Karon's biggest reasons for getting into this field was because he dealt with chronic pain (hence Coach Kronic) and because of this coaching and focus was on how to optimize the body to reduce and eliminate pain. This started with the supple leopard, then FRC and eventually he stumbled onto an account called flobility. And after interviewing Jordan (the creator of flobility) and trying out his principle for almost a year he is certain this is the missing piece the industry is looking for!
Karon has also been nice enough to share a mini-series of theirs if you are interested in what Flobility is about which you can access here:

In this episode, Matt Yates joins us to really break down the mental side of weight loss and habit change. Matt and I talk about what a belief is and how beliefs become limiting beliefs. Once you understand what a belief is you start to realize the constant thought loops we catch ourselves in every day and how those can push you towards your goals or keep you in the same place not taking action. After that Matt breaks down the non-utility of someone's self-critic and how to break that in someone by talking to their inner child. After that we get into one of my biggest fears: Fear of Judgement and how that doesn't even exist due to the fact that we are all in our own heads and as a result, this fear of judgment is really self-created. We also get into believing you are worthy right now and forever based on being a human being and nothing else, how to fill your cup up without feeling empty, how to use your emotions as guideposts to the present, emotional connections with food, and so much more! This was honestly my favorite podcast to date and if you think one of your friends out there needs to hear this conversation please post on your story and share with them!!

If you guys don't remember Zak from our last episode (I know it's been a couple of weeks, my physique show took all my focus, new episode on that coming soon) he is getting his Masters in Kinesiology at UCF and under the guidance of Ben Patrick (creator of ATG Athletic Training Group), Zak is here to talk about The Principles of Athletic Development.
When it comes to Athletic Development as explained by Zak we have 6 Principles:

1) Get out of pain
2) Increase our relative strength
3) Increase our relative strength in a full range of motion
4) Increase relative strength in a balanced fashion
5) Specifically, address feet and ankles
6) Be able to do this on a gradient scale

And we go DEEP into each section of these principles, I think this is such a valuable episode for any athlete our there trying to take their game to the next level! And when you sum all these principles up it really comes down to developing your weakest link.

We then get into how the strength and conditioning departments in schools and sports will see these principles become the norm. We also talk about how you can use these principles for an athlete in season to improve their performance instead of just hoping to maintain their current athleticism.

Once we finish the talk about these principles I talk about how to properly fuel an athlete and most specifically an athlete who participates in a glycolytic sport such as a 400m run, soccer, basketball, etc.
After we talk about this Zak and I go back and forth on our views of periodization, paleo, carnivore, earn your carbs, etc.

Again I think this is a super educational episode with a lot to take in so get your Pen and paper ready!

In today’s episode we sit down with an old roommate Zak Woodward! Zak is in his last year to get his Master Degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology at UCF and has just created his own training brand Pain Free Performance.

In this episode we get into the story that led him into leaving FIT (where we first met) and switching from engineering to exercise science. This story began with his own ankle injury that took him out of playing soccer for about 2 years! After going through his own recovery and seeing others just like himself he decided this would be his passion for his coaching career.

After this we get into some of Zak’s mentors who helped him develop his own method of getting people out of pain. Then we dive into the principles of what PFP what it truly is!

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Zak and can tell you he 100% will be coming back on the show for part 2!

In this episode we sit down and talk with my bodybuilding coach, Ryan Zeisloft. Ryan has been my coach for the last 4 months and before he was my coach we were working out in the same CrossFit Gym here in Melbourne Fl.

We get into Ryan's story about what first got him into Bodybuilding, how it was all a challenge to do something one of his friend's said was the "hardest thing he has ever done" Ryan loving the challenge was already hooked and became a multi year first place Men's Classic Bodybuilding Champ.

Ryan talks about what it takes as an athlete to succeed and how many people think its the cliche stuff out there what it really takes to succeed is patience, and to not overthink things too much, just stick to the plan and you'll see the results down the line.

We also talk about what he's learned as a coach and what we both see as a problem in the fitness industry when people focus too much on the methods of how to lose fat or gain muscle when they should be focusing on the principles! If you learn the principles there are hundreds of ways to facilitate the same outcome.

Ryan tells us his new physical endeavor this year is CrossFit and how that journey is compared to his Bodybuilding and Weightlifting days. On top of this we tackle the use of steroids in both spaces and how they can effect men and women in a positive way and negative way if overused.

And lastly we get into some practical things all of us can start to focus on now during COVID-19 to Come out of this situation in a better place than where we started. Start to build the skill set of weighing your foods, knowing what certain portions sizes are and learning new food recipes!

Overall I think there is a ton of value in this conversation between Ryan and myself and I hope you all enjoy it!

P.S.-

If you are someone who's ready to Take Back Your Body I am getting ready to role out my new 90 day program! Below will be the application to get on a 20 min call to see if you're the right fit!

Today we talk about creating your Core Values.

The self-development formula we start with is Be—>Do—>Have. What you want to have (goals) is based on what you do (habits) and what you do is based on who you be(your core identity and values you hold in your life).

Do you even have the awareness of what your core values are? Where do you spend your money? Who do you hang out with and how do they serve you and your life? These are some of the questions we get into during today’s episode.

I share with you my core values and what they’ve done for me over the years. I go into detail about: -Authenticity -Having a Growth Mindset -Leading by Example -Connection -Patience -Trust

I encourage you guys to take some time and journal answers to these questions to see if your values, actions, and beliefs align. If you’re looking for coaching on how to align these three pieces and starting with your nutrition send me a message on Instagram and let’s get started!!

In this episode, we sit down and talk with Chasity Snowden!

Chasity is a nutrition and wellness coach, a mentor of mine, and a great friend of mine. In this episode, we talk about her fitness journey from childhood to getting into bodybuilding and then The CrossFit Games! On the surface she may have looked like a perfectly fit person; but struggled with eating disorders, bulimia, and still deals with body dysmorphia.

And when food used to control her life she has now used food to build the necessary and positive habits that have now made food a tool for her success.

We talk about all things nutrition, habits, our story of her being my coach and how non-compliant I was. This is a great episode that shows anyone who thinks they can’t overcome their struggles it’s possible with a couple of simple habit changes and it could be as easy as starting to drink a gallon of water again!

In this episode, I talk about what the 'ITS. ALL. DAY'. mindset is all about. From the moment you wake up to the moment your head hits the pillow, the goal is to be great. Whatever goal/career/endeavor you are chasing, the mindset stays the same; IT'S. ALL. DAY!

I also talk about my journey from childhood sports through high school and college, all the way through post-college, and finally where I am now. You'll also hear about my almost DUI, my time in AA and NA meetings, my therapy sessions, and how all of these dark moments shaped my career and led me to the path that I’m on today.

As a nutrition coach, it’s important that I am as transparent with my clients as possible. I aim to be open with them about my faults, fears, and insecurities so that they feel they can be open with me throughout their own journey. I hope that this episode offers that same transparency and insight into who I was, who I am now, and how the IT'S. ALL. DAY. mindset changed me for the better!
