Would you like more miracles in your life?

Albert Einstein told us that "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."

I used to live life as though it were a mundane treadmill - life was an endless round of work, chores, and "to dos", with very few miracle moments.

Until I learned how to change that. And now I experience the miraculous every day. It's pretty cool!

You also have the ability to experience miracles in your life every single day.

It's not hard - listen in to learn how.

When times are tough, a few words spell the difference between success and failure.

Many people and businesses have been hit hard by the COVID-19, the lock-down, and now the economic recession.

When the business environment is turned upside down, we either adapt ... or we fail.

This was really brought home to me recently by a fantastic example of a business - which is traditionally a face-to-face, in-person service - using the lockdown as the impetus to adapt, innovate, and go online.

Whether we survive, thrive, or fail is not the external circumstances, but about how we choose to respond to them. And these few words make ALL the difference.

Listen in - this could change your life!

In New Zealand, we have a saying ... taking from our "national sport" of rugby ... that "it's a game of two halves".

What does this mean?

Well, the two halves of a game can be very different.

Just because your team is down at half-time, does not mean that it's all over!  It is possible to turn things around!

Right now, we are just about at half-time for 2020. And a good time to reflect on what we've learned from the year so far ... and how we want to step forward into the rest of the year!

Many of us have been taught that success is the road to happiness.

Get the right job, the right promotion, the right house, the right car, enough money, holiday in the right places ... and happiness will be the result.

Well ... think about it. If that were true, the world would be very different!

Research in the field of positive psychology is now showing us that in fact, the reverse is true.

Happiness makes us smarter, helps us to be more motivated, and drives us to be more successful.

Yes, that's right, being happy helps us to be more successful, not the other way around!   Join me in this episode to find out more, and to learn some methods you can use, to build more happiness into your life, starting now.

As we emerge from lockdown and into a "new normal", many people I’ve been speaking with have been reflecting on the whole experience. On the "ups" as well as the "downs".

Yes, the social cost, and the loss of life, from the coronavirus pandemic has been high.

At the same time, many people have discovered - or re-discovered - important pleasures in life.

In this episode, I share my "lockdown silver linings list".

I encourage you to do the same.

Because by reflecting on the "silver linings", we can choose what changes to make in our lives going forward - so we can retain some of the "silver linings" of lockdown.

Robert Brault once said, “Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”

Our lives are simply a series of moments, strung together. So the secret to a good life is to make those moments "good" - as much as we can.

And this starts with building mastery over our emotions in the moment, rather than letting our emotions master us. This is particularly important when faced with a lot of external challenges, as so many people are right now.

In this episode, I share with you a very simple and highly effective technique to help you change your emotional landscape, and have a greater capacity to enjoy those little things that make life great :-)

It is sad - and yes, scary - to see so much fear and hostility in the world right now. And so much focus on it

With all the challenges facing us as a global community - the covid pandemic, climate change, economic challenges, and more – surely this is the time to accept and support each other as human beings?

When faced with situations of this kind of magnitude, it's easy to feel hopeless. To ask ourselves "what can I possibly do, to make a difference?"

That is actually a really powerful question.

From my perspective, changing the tide starts with cultivating an attitude of love and acceptance. And all of us have the power to do that.

Love, compassion, and kindness towards others are an important part of what it is to be human and enable us to improve life for ourselves, those around us, and all of humanity.

In this episode, I share with you more about the power of love ... and what are some of the practical things we can each do to "turn the tide" and help make the world a more loving and accepting place.

It all starts with each and every one of us!

Something I'm hearing a lot from those I coach around the world is a sense of dissatisfaction. Of being very focussed on the gap between business and life as it is right now, compared to how we want it to be. Of "how come I'm not there yet?"

It's so easy to slip into the trap of focussing on all the things that are NOT as we’d like them; that are NOT working the way we want them to; that are NOT progressing as fast as we'd like.

This kind of thinking is a trap.

It keeps us from appreciating the "now".

Which keeps us from enjoying our lives ... and actually slows down the accomplishment of the things that we want.

Let's talk about what we can do about it ...

Part 3 of our 3-part series on how to free your mind!

This is the second part of a 3-part series on how to FREE YOUR MIND, so you can experience more freedom in your life.

What we focus on expands. Whatever you choose to focus on becomes more significant, larger, and more real in your life.

That is the way our brains, our minds, and our reality works.

And that is a truly awesome source of power IF we use it properly - by focussing on the things we want.

So ... if you would like more freedom, more autonomy, more choice in your life than you have right now, then start by asking "what am I focussing on, really?" ... and then making some changes.

In this episode, I share with you how this plays out, real-world examples of just how this works in practice, and two simple and powerful tactics you can use to create more freedom and choice in your life.

As a coach, I talk with a lot of people about what’s most important in their lives. And with many, many of the people I talk with, ultimately it boils down to one thing.

Freedom. "I want more freedom over my life, my choices, my circumstances."

So in this and the next few episodes, I’m focusing on the first step in having more freedom – freeing your mind.

And today, it’s about the freedom to choose our emotional state ...

When was the last time you engaged 100% in play?

I don’t know about you, but somehow as I grew up I adopted a set of beliefs that play is for kids.

That "if it’s fun it’s not real work” and somehow not valuable.

And that spending time in play, just for the fun of it, was somehow “irresponsible”

How very untrue!

A lot of research has shown that play is an important part of life, and of wellbeing - not just when we are young but right through life.

Sometimes we get stuck in procrastination ... even when we have a clear goal, a good plan, and know exactly what our next step is.

Our brains LOVE patterns. Are wired to repeat patterns.

So if you find that you are still feeling stuck in any part of your life the chances are that there is a pattern of thinking or belief that you are repeating.   And if we think the same thing over and over ... we're just going to keep getting the same results.

Do you find that there are some things that you “should” do, which you keep delaying, putting off, or downright avoiding?

If you answered “Yes” then welcome to the human race!

As human beings, we have a whole lot of default programming that leads us to procrastinate. To put off doing even those things that we really really want.

And this is a big part of why many, many people never accomplish what they most desire in life.

So … if you’re ready to start stepping up and beating procrastination, you’re in the right place. I’m going to share with you in this episode some of the key reasons why we procrastinate, and some things you can do about it.
