Lunar Disco is an exciting modern disco proposition translating into “a cool new version of synth wave”. When it comes to the music, there are no limits to specific genres and in fact this is probably the best way to describe their performances: mixing their own tracks with some of their moment favorites from part of their 20 year music collection, LUNAR DISCO propose a refreshed version of the art of deejaying, moving from genre to genre and presenting their own productions as a HYBRID LIVE SHOW (vocal) through which they will explore a deep and cosmic sound brushed with some pop & disco flavour.Recorded Live at Hatch Bali - 30th May 2024If you’re interested in booking Lunar Disco. This set was recorded live from my Main Stage set at Orin Aya Festival in FNQ earlier this year. This was the first time I’ve played an entire festival set full of Bush Prog. This past year I’ve become far more experimental within my sets so it was awesome to be given the opportunity to not only showcase a set with my usual melodic/progressive techno vibe but also a set with this fresh psychedelic steeze ✨If you’re interested in booking Ebony. I almost had too much fun recording this mix, as it had been so long since breaking out the recorder, and I had heaps of recent tracks to include.
The plan was to move from the funk that Boogs lays down earlier into the morning to some more tech and bass-heavy stuff.
Sundays at Revolver have never been more sick and I hope this mix captures some of that vibe. Enjoy!

Recorded on a Monday morning at the end of June, this set was particularly fun, so I’m glad I had the recorder running to capture it. One of those sets where everything seems to flow naturally with little to no effort.
I didn’t realise until I listened back that I’d played a lot of older tracks, some of which I hadn’t revisited for many years. A nice snapshot of a solid Revolver winter weekend closing set.

What a mad time to be on the same line-up as fellow Brit and madman Mele! It’s always such a buzz to play for TAT @ Revs, you can really test the waters and push the boundaries a bit more - the punters are always really open to it. The line-up talent this day was so diversely eclectic I wasn’t sure what was gonna be waiting for me on the other side. So I rolled into the cage with mi usb’s and this mix is what came out.
I always like to play from feeling - from that buzz in the club & the vibe from the crowd, then from there I’ll usually curate the set track by track on the fly. I’m way too ADHD to be too regimented when playing sets - it’s all part of the fun when it’s left open-ended and I loves me a challenge!
My personal taste in music is really diverse, but I’m an absolute sucker for pounding kick drums, sexy grooves & rolling basslines. House, tech & garage are predominantly at the core of my sets, it’s what feels the most organic. I’m British so I think it’s just in my blood haha. This mix covers a variety flavours that I must of been feeling at the time. Being in the cage is somewhat hypnotising, I always mentally ‘blackout’ and don’t remember most of what I’ve played - it’s pure presence in flow state and we loooove it.
Thanks for having me TAT, ya legends xx

How do you describe an artist like Austin Ato? A DJ’s DJ, his productions are frequently supported by the world's best. Austin knows how to deliver behind the decks and carries that charm into the studio with his own music. With consistent outings on reputable house labels like Classic Music Company, Austin’s output of music is consistent and most definitely for the dancefloor. Ahead of visiting Australian shores in June, Austin has given Thick As Thieves a taster of what to expect. “Can U Jack?” is a raw house weapon that can be played from the sweatiest of basements to the biggest of festivals. Tried and tested, “Can U Jack?” is a must have on the stick if you want to take the party to another level.

"I’ve put together this mix for this Sunday when Melè graces the cage. I’m stoked to be a part of this event and to see what magic is created 🪄 My sound is highly influenced by my parent’s music I grew up listening to and the music that Melbourne has offered me for the past 8 years. I’m lucky to be surrounded by amazing artists who have helped me evolve and find my sound. The many Sunday’s I’ve spent grooving on the dance floor at Revolver is beyond count and as a new artist on the scene I’m beyond grateful to have the opportunity to play there. This House guest mix from SHANTI for our Raising the Vibration series will have you dancing around in whatever location you happen to be listening to it! “I’m a huge lover of music in all its forms and through my time playing and creating I’ve loved exploring and blending genres, but house music will always be at the centre of my heart. The simplicity of the beats combined with its roots in disco and the uplifting energy of vocal samples is everything I could need and want on the dance floor. To have the opportunity to create a set that represents me for one of my favourite party throwers Thick as Thieves supporting one of my favourite artists Weiss at the iconic Revolver Upstairs is beyond a dream. A true pinch me moment as a young artist. I hope you enjoy listening to this mixed bag of fun. I had a blast creating it.“SHANTI will be playing at Revolver Upstairs Sunday March 5th alongside WEISS. This melodic guest mix from the multi-faceted WISER comes with a sweet story ahead of her next performance supporting Kölsch, Cristoph and Korolova at The Bowl Sunday Feb 5th:"Four years ago, I hadn’t been playing music for very long, or taking it seriously - until I saw that Kölsch was performing at the old XE54 venue, for Thick as Thieves. I had been going to their parties for years, and couldn’t imagine a better crew to play for - and the beauty & warmth of Kölsch had always stood out to me. Nervously, I prepared a special mix, in the hopes I could perhaps play the warm up set for the event, and to my surprise - it worked! To think that I will now be doing the same, but on the biggest stage in Melbourne, is almost unbelievable - you can do anything you put your mind to! So here it is, my secret set - made with love. “WISER will be performing at Sidney Myer Music Bowl for Piknic Electronik Sunday Feb 5th alongside Kölsch, Korolova, Cristoph & Boogs. Third round tickets are moving fast!

Revealing a collaboration immersed within Melbourne, late September sees Strawberry Fields and Beyond the Valley regulars Market (Sean Rault) and Memories (Oliver James) combine with one of the city’s finest veterans, Mike Callander. With a mutual love for creating unique dancefloor moments, with Market Memories supported by the likes of Camelphat, Denis Sulta, and Cristoph alongside Callandar’s work remixing Aussie rockers The Drones and The Jezabels plus playing in The MESS Synthesizer Orchestra, the trio combine for the very first time to deliver ‘Clover’ – joined by Gold Coast DJ and producer Little Fritter on remix duties.
Breaking traditional production conventions, with Callander warping and twisting the track’s infectious bassline to accompany the bubbling hooks and slick percussion laid down by the Market Memories guys, ‘Clover’ is a club cut made for big moments, while Little Fritter’s take ups the tempo as shuffling drums, snaking low-ends and soaring synths make for a no-nonsense, dynamic ride into the peak time.

Monkey Safari deliver the third release on Thick As Thieves’ newly-minted imprint as they drop their ‘Fix Your Life’ EP to close June. Featuring as one of melodic house and techno’s favourite duos, German pairing Monkey Safari continue to showcase their studio prowess as they explore the corners and nuances of the genre via releases on the Anjunadeep, Bedrock, Get Physical, and their own Hommage imprint. And while the DJs, producers, and label bosses continue to impress with a wealth of original material, their next project welcomes a fresh track under their DJ Island ‘collaborative guise’, having unveiled the alias on home turf for the disco-fuelled single, ‘Sometimes’. Hot on its heels, June welcomes a debut appearance on Thick As Thieves’ newly launched label, having toured with the Melbourne mainstays years, as they follow material from Super Flu, The Journey, and Not Just Me to deliver their ‘Fix Your Life’ EP. A sun-soaked anthem guided by resonant piano melodies, infectious soulful vocals, and slinking hats, ‘Fix Your Life’ welcomes a bright, feel-good slice of house music. To contrast, the warping ‘Pills’ dives down a late night, funkinfused wormhole as acid leads meet skittering drums and bumping bass licks to round out proceedings in style.

‘Syren’ is the debut release from Melbourne DJ/Producer pairing Brian Fantana and Ben Silver (Silversix) for their new underground club music project ‘NOT JUST ME’.
Crafted, refined and tested at Melbourne’s notorious late-night institutions, ‘Syren’ is a dance-floor weapon that pulls you down an aural rabbit hole. Hypnotic, deep and dirty, the looping bassline riff modulates into an acid journey. The crisp drums keep you locked in, while original detuned vocals scatter the stereo spectrum, shifting you toward a lucid dream-like state.
Brian Fantana and Ben Silver as 'NOT JUST ME', are accomplished DJs and Producers of the Australian dance music circuit. Together they combine years of dance-floor knowledge, studio wizardry and acumen. ‘NOT JUST ME’ plan to make their mark by releasing a barrage of underground dance floor cuts throughout 2021, and if ‘Syren’ is anything to go by, dance-floors are in for a treat.
Leading Australian touring brand Thick As Thieves launch new in-house label as they welcome German duo Super Flu to deliver their ‘Pancham’ EP, accompanied by a remix from rising Australian pairing The Journey.
An influential name down under for the last decade, Melbourne-based event favourites Thick As Thieves continue to lead the way when it comes to the curation of international and local talent within the Australian house and techno scene. Featuring as the country’s premier touring company, bringing names such as Patrick Topping, Claptone, Andhim, ANNA, Rebüke, and Mathew Jonson to name just a few to Australian soil over the past few years, April sees a new string added to the brand’s bow as they launch their new self-titled in-house imprint, continuing their ethos of ‘Raising The Vibration’.
“There’s such creative talent out there pushing the boundaries of sound, and some are bound to get my attention. There needed to be an outlet to introduce those sounds and warm up a few ears prior to taking on these artists at tour level. It’s always a bonus when the dancefloor erupts, and an artist is playing their own track or remix. Sometimes it’s the difference between an average gig and a gig that’s etched into the memory. Here’s a chance for the Thick As Thieves crew to give these artists our best shot at raising the vibration all round.” - Mike Toner, Thick As Thieves
Developed naturally across the past ten years, the label will bring tracks discovered on the dancefloor to a global audience and serve as a home for fresh music from leading international names including Monkey Safari alongside exciting, rising Australian talent such as Not Just Me. Kicking things off, 9th April welcomes the label’s debut release courtesy of leading German duo Super Flu, who step up to deliver their entrancing ‘Pancham’ EP following music via the likes of Dynamic, Crosstown Rebels, and Moon Harbour, backed by a remix from emerging Melbourne-based duo, The Journey.
Title cut ‘Pancham’ showcases the German pairing at their best, combining crisp organic percussion with wavering synths, eerie eastern-influenced melodies and rolling grooves, whilst ‘Nicotine’ weaves off-kilter leads atop of wandering stabs, sharp drum licks and snaking low-ends to showcase two original cuts packed full of quality. Rounding out proceedings, rising Melbourne pairing Jacob Malmo and Tom Evans, aka The Journey, up the energy and introduce pulsating bass patterns, vocal chants and hair-raising builds throughout their interpretation of ‘Nicotine’ - shaping up a slick label debut from one of Australia’s most important players within the house and techno landscape.

Super Flu - Recorded on Sunday Evening at the Market stage, Rainbow Serpent Festival 2019
Patrick Topping Sunday. Market Stage. Rainbow Serpent Festival 2019 Victoria, Australia
My set from Rainbow Serpent Festival 2019, recorded live on Sunday morning on the hallowed Market Stage.
To play this stage for the second year means more than i can put into words. Its so much more than just a stage. Its an alter ego, a platform to express myself through music in the purest way possible. Thank you to everyone who came down so early to share it with me i literally cried with happiness. Hope you enjoy the recording .

Hope you enjoy.
My warm up set at our amazing party with Super Flu. Had so much fun spinning these slow jams. Keeping the crowd vibing, whilst restraining the energy before a headliner is often the most challenging set to play but also the most satisfying. Hope you enjoy X
Since Piknic Electronik's inagrual year in 2015 Jacob has had the privilege to play a range of amazing sets for the festival. This year it was a big tick off his bucket list to play on the main stage of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for the beloved Thick As Thieves family. Hope you enjoy the 90 mins of music he played on the day 🙂
My set from Rainbow Serpent recorded Sunday afternoon 12.30 - 2pm . It was such an honour to play the hallowed market stage, thanks to everyone who came and supported.

Get yourself in the mood for Brown Alley this friday with this groovy as mix from UK rising act - Prok & Fitch
“It’s been over five years since my last installment in the Freakshow Disco mix series…perhaps too long….perhaps not. After recording the initial blend of tracks for this mix, I went back and re-edited most of the songs to make them more concise for the purposes of home listening. Once the arrangements were all sitting tight, I went back yet again and overdubbed live oscillators, synthesizers, theremin, percussion, dub delays, vocal samples and other assorted noises to send the whole thing further into a dark psychedelic bubble. Finally after all the music had been constructed, I ran the entire mix through a series of vintage and analogue tape machines to add extra spongey warmth and cram the disparate sounds into the same environment…… That about ends my nerdish musical rant/description. The only other thing I would say is that I tried to put this mix together in such a way that it listens like an album, as opposed to just a bunch of tunes thrown together in a club. Thanks for listening," - T-Rek
