For BKR's first episode in three years, Incyte and Riggz get ABQ-based Neggs Benny to blow off the dust and break...no, obliterate the ice with several tracks, announcements, mead, and even a story about maybe seeing Cee-Lo Green in the crowd while bombing a performance! Skinny Slim (Shawn), The Gang (Braden) and their friend Kim are joined in studio over the phone by Thick Boy Anonymous (Josh) in the BeatKeep's cracker barrel of jokes.

Educator, rapper, producer and all-around wise-man K.DUTCH rolls through to share his new release TULAROSA. He discusses upcoming shows, evolving as an artist in his 40s and finding inspiration in old, unreleased songs for catharsis and therapy after life's traumas. Rigz and DJ Cap co-host.

This episode we get out-of-towner Symatree (@symmatreedyr) of @gridsquident and @stereofiendsatx fame in with Phobia (@phobiatheprophet) and DJ Dash (@dash_915) for a super special session of bloopers, mistakes, assumptions and some real talk about being 'working emcees'. We sample some of Symatree's tracks (check out his soundcloud, symatree.bandcamp.com for more) while Incyte enjoys a morning off of work to host the 17th installment of BKR.
We get Modest from ABQ in to tell us about the Lofi Rapper lifestyle, getting picked up off of Soundcloud and what his craft means to him. DJ Cap and Rigz join Incyte as hosts.
After a short break, BKR returns with a catch-up session including Beatkeepers' members Incyte, Rigz and DJ CAP. We talk upcoming releases, shows and the recent return of Rigz from Indiana. We showcase some 'under development' new material, too.

This week, local DJ, collector and veritable Hiphop historian DJ RIDE comes to the Beatkeep to throw down a hard arguement for Hiphop not losing it's light in view of the modern scene. We talk record collecting, respecting the scene, and how to get addicted to Hiphop. Interview with DJ CAP from the Outstanding Citizens Collective, including discussion about transitioning from a traditional HipHop DJ on turntables to making sound as a beatmaker using Ableton. We explore some of the creative difficulties inherent in working with a group and we touch on where DJ CAP sees Trap playing a role in the future development of HipHop as a broad genre.
