John Waite is back and better than ever! John has always been synonymous with outstanding chart-topping songs for more than 35 years, like his 1984 hit “Missing You,” a #1 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100, and his success as lead vocalist for The Babys and Bad English. The legacy of John Waite is a beautiful monster of sound and vision, the chronicle of an authentic artist, a superstar, a seeker of truth, and a soother of hearts.

This past May, John released a four-song EP to the world entitled, Anything. It features highly personal songs, all with positive summer vibes. The four tracks are a group of diverse songs packed with John’s soaring vocals and heartfelt lyrics delivered as only he can and singing them directly to your soul.

I had the pleasure of speaking with John about the creation of Anything, a new CD in the works entitled Singles, how he will not comprise his artist ethics, a documentary on his life in the works, and an upcoming tour with Rick Springfield and Men At Work. Join in on this insightful conversation. A brand-new series from Gibson TV called Metal and Monsters has emerged from the darkest depths of Matt "Count D" Montgomery, bassist for Rob Zombie and Todd Harapiak's imaginations! Conceived during the pandemic, the duo had plenty of time to think and plan how they would unleash a high-quality show to their loyal fans. A collaborative effort of herculean proportions taking over two years to schedule, make, and bake.

The show is part interviews, part music, part monsters, and 100% entertainment. Their debut episode paired Don Dokken, vocalist for metal band Dokken with Robert Englund of Freddy Krueger fame to discuss their involvement in Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and hosted by none other than monster and horror aficionado Count D. Together, the three discuss how the merger of the song "Dream Warriors," coupled with Freddy's image helped propel the success of the film making it an instant classic. To add to the excitement of the show, the episode was filmed on stage at the haunted Los Angles Theater in California, making it must-see TV.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Count D to discuss the creation of Metal and Monsters, his vast knowledge of monsters, insights into the first and future episodes of the show, the release of The Haxans new album Dead and Restless, which comes out October 7th and their tour this April with John 5. Please be sure to follow My Global Mind on Facebook and Twitter and subscribe to their YouTube channel.

Glastonbury rockers REEF have released their brand new single and title track, "Shoot Me Your Ace," off their forthcoming album due out April 15, 2022.

The new single is a straight-up rocker with a Zeppelin flair and is a testament to the band's rebellious spirits. Gary has shared that the new album is filled with ten equal caliber rocking songs that offer big riffs and even bigger grooves.

REEF is now a five-piece band featuring Gary Stringer [vocals], Jack Bessant [bass], Andy Taylor of Duran Duran [guitar], Jesse Wood, son of Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood [guitars], and Luke Bessant [drums]. Together they have a tremendous writing chemistry that taps into a remarkable array of talents. If that wasn’t enough, Andy Taylor also produced Shoot Me Your Ace!

To pre-order, the album, along with brand new Shoot Me Your Ace merchandise, go here: https://reef.tmstor.es/

To preorder the new single or to buy tickets for the band's upcoming UK tour, go to www.reeftheband.com

I had the pleasure of speaking with vocalist Gary Stringer about the writing and recording of the album in just a matter of days, the collaborative spirit of the band, which songs came like a gift above, and his friendship with the dynamic rhythm section of Andy and Jesse.

Gilbert offers, “Ten of the songs are classics. I was inspired by the Christmas recordings of Nat King Cole, Loretta Lynn, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Mathis, Ella Fitzgerald, and The Ventures. And of course, inspiration came from my guitar heroes, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Lifeson, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, Frank Marino, Pat Travers, Jimi Hendrix, and Jimmy Page, to name a few. I also wrote some of my own new Christmas songs. As I have been doing recently, I begin with lyrics and a melody. Then I let my guitar take over, as it sings better than I do.”

He continues, “‘Three Strings for Christmas’ refers to the 3-string guitar that I used on my double-neck. I tune the strings in octaves, which allows me to play ridiculously fast arpeggios, and very little else (which is why I have a normally strung guitar for the other neck.) ‘Every Christmas Has Love’ was written quickly, inspired by my panic-driven mental state of album making. When I know that the recording sessions are coming, my brain shifts into survival mode, and melodies start popping out. Then I take all the chords I learned by listening to 70s AM radio, and build a song. The lyrics are nice too. I'll be printing those in the liner notes of the album.”
