What happens when your life is still moving, but your soul is slowly being suffocated? In this message, we look at how the cares of life, money, work, family, comfort, fear, and even good things can become thorns when they begin taking the place that belongs to God. Through a personal hospital experience, the parable of the sower in Matthew 13, the neglected vineyard in Proverbs, and Jesus’ words in John 15, we discover that being overgrown does not erase our purpose but it can limit our fruitfulness. God isn’t simply calling us to remove what’s choking us; He’s inviting us to make room for the right things to grow. Because what you tolerate today may eventually choke what God wants to grow tomorrow.
Nobody wakes up intending to lose their faith, damage their family, neglect their health, or walk away from their calling. Most losses happen slowly, through small compromises, ignored warning signs, and pressures we repeatedly tolerate. Through the neglected field of Proverbs 24 and the life of Samson, “The Slow Takeover” reveals how weeds grow wherever we stop being intentional. This message will challenge you to identify what has been quietly growing, remove what does not belong, and reclaim what God entrusted to you. Your field is not disqualified. With God’s help, it can be tended, restored, and fruitful again.
The future you desire is being cultivated by the choices you make today. Through Solomon’s request for wisdom in 1 Kings 3, we discover that dreams alone do not produce a harvest, daily decisions do. This message challenges us to examine what we are depending on, choose God’s purposes over our personal preferences, and build lives rooted deeply in His wisdom before pressure, temptation, conflict, or crisis arrives. God may not always remove the hardship in front of us, but He can strengthen the roots beneath us. The question is not whether you will need wisdom in the future; it is what you are depositing into your life today.
Most things do not fall apart because of one dramatic decision. They deteriorate through small moments of repeated neglect. In Proverbs 24, Solomon passes a field that was once valuable and productive but had become overgrown with thorns, covered with weeds, and surrounded by a broken wall. In this message, “What Grew While You Weren’t Looking?”, we examine the fields God has entrusted to us; our relationship with Him, marriages, families, character, boundaries, opportunities, and purpose. God is inviting us to stop long enough to see what has been growing, look honestly at what needs attention, listen for His instruction, and respond with obedience. You cannot change yesterday’s neglect, but with God’s help, you can begin tending your field today.
Victory isn't always the finish line. Sometimes it's the beginning of your greatest battle. In Joshua 24, after crossing the Jordan, watching Jericho fall, and conquering the Promised Land, Joshua gathers Israel one last time, not to prepare them for another war, but to challenge their hearts. Because the greatest fight isn't always the one in front of you; it's the one within you. In this message, we explore how faith slowly drifts through small compromises, why wholehearted devotion matters, how your faith impacts your family and the next generation, and why today's obedience is preparing you for tomorrow's calling. Through the lives of Joshua, Esther, and Mordecai, discover that God isn't just preparing you for victory, He's forging you into someone who can remain faithful long after the battle is over.
What if your greatest spiritual danger isn't before your breakthrough but after it? This week, we continue our Forged in the Fight series by looking at Joshua 6–7 and the story of Achan. Israel experienced one of the greatest victories in Scripture when the walls of Jericho fell, but hidden compromise turned that victory into defeat. We explore how comfort can convince us the fight is over, how what looks like a reward can actually be bait, and why old habits continue to follow us when we refuse to put them to death. God didn't just want Israel to win a battle, He wanted them to win the war. The same is true for us today. Don't let yesterday's breakthrough become tomorrow's trap.
Have you ever felt like you're doing everything God asked you to do, but nothing seems to be changing? In this message, we explore the story of Jericho and discover that what feels like walking in circles may actually be God's cycle of preparation. Waiting is not wasted when God is working. Through Joshua 6, Isaiah 40:31, and 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, we learn that repeated obedience develops endurance, deepens faith, expands capacity, and prepares us for the promises God has already spoken. If you're waiting on healing, breakthrough, restoration, provision, or direction, this message will remind you that faithful obedience is never fruitless. Keep walking. Keep praying. Keep serving. God is working even when you can't yet see the walls moving.
What will your life say when you're gone? In Joshua 4, God instructed His people to take stones from the middle of the Jordan River and build a memorial, not to celebrate themselves, but to remember His faithfulness. In this Father's Day message, Set a Marker, we discover that marked men leave markers. Joshua's life teaches us that God's presence marks us, His faithfulness shapes us, and our obedience creates a path for the next generation. Whether you're a father, mentor, leader, or simply someone trying to follow God faithfully, this message will challenge you to stop living only for today and start building bridges for tomorrow. Your story, your faith, and your obedience may become the very testimony someone else needs to trust God.
What do you do when God gives you a promise, but all you can see is an impossible situation? In this message, we explore Joshua 3 and discover that breakthrough often begins where comfort ends. Israel stood before a flooded Jordan River, and instead of removing the obstacle first, God called them to follow His presence and step into the water before seeing the miracle. We discuss why faith is not driven by pressure, fear, or human urgency, but by God's presence and His Word. You'll learn how inherited testimony must become personal faith, why breakthrough often requires stepping into the deep, and how God may already be working on your behalf in places you cannot yet see. If you're waiting on God, facing uncertainty, or standing at the edge of what feels impossible, this message will encourage you to trust that God is moving upstream even when you can't see the evidence yet.
Every day, we are surrounded by distractions competing for our attention. In this message, The Fight for Your Focus, we explore why focus is one of the most valuable spiritual disciplines a believer can develop. We discover that God's promises are often connected to our ability to stay focused on His Word, His purpose, and His direction. We learn that your future follows your focus, that discipline is essential for spiritual growth, and that many people miss what God is doing next because they're still focused on what happened yesterday. If you've felt distracted, discouraged, or stuck, this message will challenge you to refocus your life on what matters most and trust God with what lies ahead.
Have you ever felt like God was calling you into something bigger, but you didn't feel prepared enough to take the next step? In this message, we explore the story of Joshua and discover a powerful truth: God rarely calls people who feel ready. Instead, He forms them through obedience. From Joshua standing at the edge of the Jordan River to Jeremiah doubting his own ability, Scripture reminds us that readiness is not a prerequisite for God's calling, it's something He develops as we move forward in faith. If you've been battling fear, insecurity, doubt, or hesitation, this message will encourage you to stop focusing on what you lack and start trusting what God is forming within you. Your next step may be the very place where God reveals the strength, courage, and purpose He placed inside you all along.
What if the faith God is building in you was never just about you? In Week 4 of our Two-Gether series, we explore how real faith is not meant to stop at personal survival, it is meant to multiply, reach generations, and create room for others. Through the life of Abraham, Hebrews 11, and the power of biblical community, we unpack why faith that reaches further always requires movement, obedience, endurance, and a willingness to leave comfort behind. This message challenges us to stop seeing faith as private and start living in a way that strengthens families, communities, and future generations. Your faith may begin personally, but God intends it to impact people far beyond you.
What happens when life shakes you? In this powerful Mother’s Day message, “Spill the Tea,” we explore the truth that pressure doesn’t create what’s in us, it reveals it. Through the story of the sinful woman in Luke 7, we uncover how your heart (the cup), your God-given purpose (the tea bag), pressure (hot water), process (steeping), and response (honey) all determine what pours out of your life. Whether you’re facing stress, pain, motherhood, relationships, or personal battles, this message will challenge you to examine what you’re carrying, what God has already placed inside you, and how your overflow impacts everyone around you. Because when life shakes you… something will spill. The question is: what?
What if one of the biggest problems in our lives and even in the church is that we know how to talk about love without actually living it? In this powerful message, we explore how Jesus responded when a broken woman was dragged before Him in shame, and how His response completely contrasted the religious spirit of condemnation. Through John 8, 1 Corinthians 13, and Matthew 7, we uncover that love is not ignoring sin but addressing it with grace, truth, and restoration. This message challenges us to examine whether people encounter condemnation or hope when they encounter us. Love is not optional in the Kingdom of God, it is the clearest evidence that Jesus is shaping us.
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in community. In this message, we unpack the powerful story in Luke 5 and Mark 2 where four men carried their friend to Jesus and refused to let obstacles stop them. Before healing ever happened in the house, it started with people willing to carry someone else’s burden. This message challenges us to stop living self-focused lives and start noticing, listening, and stepping in for those who are hurting around us. Because sometimes it’s not someone else’s faith that unlocks healing, it’s yours.
What if the reason you feel overwhelmed isn’t because you’re weak but because you’re trying to carry life alone? In this message, “Not Me, Not You, But Us,” we uncover the truth that strength doesn’t come from being surrounded by people, it comes from being truly connected to them. Through powerful scripture like Ecclesiastes 4 and Galatians 6, we explore the difference between proximity and participation, and how self-centered living quietly turns relationships into transactions instead of transformation. This message challenges us to move from attending church to becoming the church; interwoven, burden-bearing, and built together in Christ.
Grace was never meant to stay a concept, it was meant to become a lifestyle. In this message, we unpack what happens when grace moves from something God does for you to something He works through you. Walking through Romans 12, we explore how grace gives you a new “why,” a new way of thinking, and something meaningful to bring to the world around you. If you’ve ever felt stuck, inconsistent, or unsure of your purpose, this message will challenge and equip you to live a life where grace is not just received but activated daily.
We celebrate Easter every year but what if we’ve been missing the point? This message goes beyond the resurrection story to uncover what actually changed because Jesus rose from the grave. If the cross dealt with sin’s penalty, then the resurrection broke its power but why are so many of us still living stuck, ashamed, and controlled by patterns we thought we were free from? This message exposes the truth about sin, not just as behavior, but as a master and reveals how Jesus didn’t just come to forgive you, but to free you. If you’ve ever felt like you believe in Jesus but still feel bound, this message is for you.
What if the reason you feel far from God isn’t because He stepped away but because you did? In this message, we unpack the powerful truth found in Romans 5: that God made the first move toward us at our weakest, not our strongest. Through the story of Judas, Peter, and Jesus washing His disciples’ feet, we see a love that moves first, stays low, and never changes, even when we do. If you’ve ever felt too far gone, too broken, or too inconsistent to come back to God, this message will challenge that lie and remind you: grace is still reaching for you.
In today’s message, we explore why so many of us miss the power of God’s grace. Using Peter’s first encounter with Jesus as an example, we learn that grace is always near, but often overlooked because of distraction, wounds, and self-reliance. When Peter followed Jesus’ instruction despite his doubts, he discovered that God’s grace isn’t just forgiveness; it’s a call into a new life, full of purpose, honesty, and freedom. This message challenges us to move closer to God, embrace His presence, and allow His grace to transform ordinary moments into life-defining encounters.
In the final message of the Love Letters series, we examine the most confronting letter Jesus wrote, His message to the church in Laodicea. Unlike other churches facing persecution or hardship, this church had comfort, wealth, and self-sufficiency. But that comfort slowly replaced their need for God. Using the powerful imagery of lukewarm water, Jesus exposes a spiritual danger that many believers still face today: when success, security, and self-reliance quietly push Him to the doorway of our lives. Yet the message doesn’t end in condemnation, it ends with an invitation. Jesus is still knocking. This message challenges us to ask a deeper question: Is Jesus near our lives, or is He truly at the center of them?
In this message from the Love Letters series, we explore Jesus’ letter to the church in Philadelphia in Revelation 3:7–13 and discover the powerful connection between faithfulness, patience, and hope. Jesus praises a church that had little strength but remained obedient to His Word. In a culture that celebrates influence, talent, and power, Jesus celebrates something different: enduring obedience. Faithfulness is keeping His Word when it’s hard. Patience is continuing when it takes longer than expected. And hope is trusting His promise when He says, “I am coming soon… hold on.” If you feel weary, overlooked, or spiritually tired, this message will remind you that God isn’t looking for perfection or performance; He’s looking for people who refuse to quit.
In Week Five of our Love Letters series, we unpack Jesus’ sobering words to the church in Book of Revelation, a church in Sardis that had a reputation for being alive but was spiritually dying. In Revelation 3:1–3, Jesus calls them to wake up, strengthen what remains, and return to readiness before complacency destroys what’s left. We explore how you can have activity without intimacy, noise without nourishment, and reputation without responsiveness. We learn that spiritual life is sustained not by occasional inspiration, but by watchfulness, discipline, and daily obedience. This message is a loving but urgent call: Wake up before you dry up.
In this message from Jesus’ letter to the church in Book of Revelation, we unpack the sobering warning to the believers in Thyatira. Though they were loving, serving, and growing, they tolerated a deceptive voice inside the church that led people away from truth. The real danger wasn’t culture, it was compromise disguised as depth. In a world full of charisma, confidence, and “new revelations,” how do we discern between hype and holy? Jesus shows us that if it takes you past Him, it’s not deeper, it’s deceptive. Learn how to guard your heart, anchor yourself in Scripture, and build habits that protect you from “almost right” teaching.
In this message from Revelation 2, we explore Jesus’ letter to the church in Pergamum, a church that stood strong under persecution but slowly drifted through compromise. Jesus warns that when pressure doesn’t destroy you, pleasure will try to seduce you. From the doctrine of Balaam to the influence of the Nicolaitans, we uncover how small allowances, cultural conformity, and subtle mixture can erode spiritual authority from the inside out. “The Drift That Destroys” calls us to examine what we’ve tolerated, what we’ve blended, and how to intentionally return to a life of conviction, purity, and bold faith in a world that constantly pulls us away.
What do you do when life squeezes you from every side; financially, emotionally, relationally and staying faithful feels costly? In Revelation 2:8–11, Jesus writes to the church in Smyrna, a church under intense pressure, public opposition, and real loss. They weren’t comfortable, admired, or thriving by the world’s standards; yet Jesus calls them rich. This message explores how pressure doesn’t create faith, it reveals it; why faithfulness isn’t about comfort but conviction; and how staying faithful now has eternal weight later. If you’re feeling pressed, tempted to compromise, or wondering where God is in the middle of your struggle, this message is for you.
Jesus’ words to the church in Ephesus are sobering; not because they were failing, but because they were faithful without fire. In this message, we explore how devotion can slowly turn into performance, how consistency can replace closeness, and how serving Jesus can quietly crowd out intimacy with Him. This message exposes a hidden drift that doesn’t look like rebellion, but routine and invites us back through three simple but powerful steps: remember, repent, and return. This isn’t a call to do more for God; it’s an invitation to reconnect with the God who still longs for our first love.
Many believers think “good ground” is a spiritual status reserved for the most disciplined or gifted but Jesus tells a different story. In this message, The Fruitful Life, we discover that good ground isn’t the absence of struggle; it’s the result of formation. The soils in Matthew 13 aren’t four kinds of people, they’re four moments in the journey of growth. From hardness to shallowness to distraction, God is doing deep work beneath the surface, shaping hearts that can sustain fruit. Through Scripture, practical insight, and the life of David, this message reveals how receptivity, pruning, and guarding your heart lead to lasting fruitfulness not by skipping seasons, but by growing through them.
We often think growth means doing more, becoming better, or seeing visible results but Jesus taught that real growth starts beneath the surface. In Matthew 13, He reveals that the condition of the soil, our heart, determines what kind of harvest comes from what God plants in us. In this message, The Crowded Life, we explore the thorny ground: a life that hears the Word, desires God, begins to grow but becomes overcrowded by worry, busyness, and divided devotion. Through the story of Martha and Mary, we learn how distraction doesn’t look sinful, it looks responsible and how performance can quietly replace presence. This message will help you identify what’s crowding your heart, learn how to prune what competes with God, and choose presence over performance so you can experience lasting fruitfulness.
What happens when faith looks alive on the surface but lacks depth underneath? In this message, The Fragile Life, we explore Jesus’ warning about the stony ground, faith that responds with joy yet withers when pressure comes. Through the story of Thomas, we uncover how sincere belief can still struggle when trust is conditional, fear locks the doors of the heart, and waiting stretches our endurance. This message reminds us that fragile faith is not false faith, it’s undeveloped faith, and growth doesn’t come from intensity, but from depth formed through trust, obedience, and endurance. If you’ve ever felt strong one moment and shaken the next, this message is for you.
What if the hardest life isn’t caused by rebellion but by passivity? In this message, we unpack Jesus’ parable of the wayside soil and confront how disappointment, waiting, excuses, and inaction slowly harden our hearts over time. Through the story of the man healed after 38 years in John 5, we discover that proximity to God is not the same as participation with God and that miracles don’t happen in waiting, but in obedience-filled movement. Growth begins with a step, repentance is about direction, and the life God promised is unlocked when excuses end and responsibility begins.
Every December we sing Joy to the World as a celebration of Jesus’ birth but what if the song was never meant to stop at the manger? In this message, “When Joy is Life,” we explore how Jesus didn’t just come to rescue us from sin, but to restore us to a new way of living. Through Luke 2, we see that joy is not automatic; it is intentional, formed through relationship with God as Father, rooted in His presence, and grown through daily obedience. Salvation gives us new life, but formation teaches us how to live it. This message invites us to stop chasing joyful moments and start cultivating a joyful life.
We hear Silent Night every December and associate it with calm, candlelight, and comfort but the song was born in chaos, loss, and longing, not peace. In this message, we uncover the surprising history behind Silent Night and connect it to the story of Zechariah, a faithful priest whose long disappointment shaped what he believed was possible with God. Through seasons of silence, God doesn’t remove unrest around us, He heals the unrest within us. This teaching reveals how peace is connected to belief, how disappointment can quietly erode our trust, and why praise must become our first response if we want lasting peace. If you’ve been faithful but restless, believing but tired, this message will call you back to a deeper trust and a quieter soul.
Every December, one song dominates playlists, stores, and timelines: “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” But beneath the festive sound is a truth most people feel but rarely say out loud; we don’t just want gifts, plans, or people around us… we want belonging. This message explores why Christmas can still feel lonely even when everything looks full, how science and Scripture agree that we’re wired for connection, and why Jesus didn’t come to bring religion but to bring us home. From overlooked shepherds to modern hearts searching for connection, this message reveals that presence, not presents, is the real gift of Christmas.
What if the most “merry” Christmas song was born from the darkest moment in history? In this message, we uncover the forgotten story behind Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and how it mirrors the emotional battles we still fight today; fear, grief, uncertainty, and the quiet hope that refuses to die. Through the lives of Mary and Joseph, we see that the Christmas story wasn’t born in comfort, calm, or celebration, but in adversity, confusion, and impossible circumstances. Discover how hope shows up inside your struggle, why God doesn’t remove adversity but reveals Himself through it, and how your “yes” to God, like Mary and Joseph, can carry you into a transformed future.
In this message, we look at what it truly means to be A Church on Mission. Using the story of Nehemiah, we uncover how God rebuilds, restores, and multiplies His work through ordinary people who refuse to stay comfortable while others remain broken. This is more than personal calling, it’s a collective movement. When each of us picks up our “brick,” God uses our unity, compassion, obedience, and sacrifice to create strength, stability, and expansion for generations. Discover why mission starts with a broken heart, grows through multiplication, and moves forward when we build today because tomorrow matters.
In today’s message, we explore what it truly means to live on mission as followers of Jesus. Too often, our faith gets confined to religious routines, comfort zones, and holy huddles but Jesus calls us to be a city on a hill, visible, present, and a haven for others. We’ll unpack practical ways to let your light shine in everyday life, embody His presence in every interaction, and become a refuge for people who need hope. Stop hiding your life and start living so others can see God at work through you.
Are you living sent or just settled? In this week’s message, we examine whether we’ve mistaken comfort for calling. God never intended for us to get stuck in the familiar, He designed us to move in faith. Through repentance, realignment, and renewed purpose, we discover what it truly means to live on mission every day, not just on Sundays. It’s time to stop settling and start stepping into the good works God prepared in advance for you.
Everyone is living on a mission; survival, success, happiness, family, or faith. But what if your mission is moving you in the wrong direction? In this message, “God on Mission,” we explore Luke 15 and uncover how Jesus reveals the Father’s true heart: people. Through the story of the lost son, we see how disconnection leads to depletion, but grace restores what was lost. You’ll discover that God’s mission has always been redemption, restoration, and relationship and that even when you step off mission, God never stops running toward you.
In this powerful finale to our Giant Killers series, Pastor Annette exposes the difference between the Crowd and the Church. Both stood on the same battlefield, but only one moved in faith. David’s story wasn’t just about a giant; it was about a generation paralyzed by fear. While the crowd talked, David acted. While the crowd saw a giant, David saw God. Discover how to stop spectating and start stepping into the victory God already promised you. It’s time to move from the sidelines to the frontlines, from fear to faith, from the crowd to the Church.
Today’s message in our Giant Killers series is not for the faint of heart, it’s for those ready to finish what they started. David didn’t stop when Goliath fell; he made sure the giant couldn’t rise again. In the same way, God calls us not just to survive the battle, but to silence every lie, destroy every stronghold, and remove anything that challenges His purpose in our lives. In this message, we’ll expose the sin we excuse, the lies we entertain, and the truth we don’t practice , and discover how to finish the fight through the power of Christ.
In this powerful conversation, Pastors Jose and Annette Vasquez share what it truly means to be a Giant Killer. From early challenges to leading through seasons of fear, faith, and breakthrough; they open up about the unseen battles that shape every believer’s journey. Discover how to fight spiritual battles with courage, lead with conviction, and keep Jesus at the center when life feels overwhelming. This interview reminds us: the giants we face aren’t meant to defeat us, they’re meant to develop us.
Giants don’t always come with swords and armor, sometimes they show up as fear, insecurity, debt, anxiety, or shame. In this message, “I’m Not Small, I’m Growing,” we confront the inner battles that make us feel powerless and uncover the spiritual truth that we are not as small as we think. Drawing from David’s encounter with Goliath, this story shows us that growth begins not when the giant falls, but when we start seeing ourselves through God’s eyes. You’re not finished; God is still forming you. This message will help you find your courage, speak truth to your fears, and grow through the very battles meant to break you.
In this powerful conversation with Ed Fernandez, we dive deep into what it really means to be a giant killer. Giants aren’t just people or problems, they’re spiritual forces that try to intimidate, distract, and silence us. Ed shares how God shaped his story from early struggles to business battles, from family challenges to personal breakthroughs. You’ll discover that the giants in your life don’t define you, they prepare you. And when Jesus steps in, the way you see your giants changes, because the way you see yourself changes.
When David faced Goliath, he wasn’t armed with the latest weapons or the strongest armor. In fact, he refused Saul’s sword and chose something simple: a sling. But here’s the truth, David didn’t win because of what was in his hand; he won because of what was in his heart. His true weapon was God’s Word and the assurance of God’s promises. In this message, we explore why the Bible is your greatest weapon, how to wield it with precision, and why you can’t fight today’s battles with someone else’s methods. Get ready to sharpen your sword and walk onto the battlefield with confidence.
We’re living in a world where evil is rebranded as progress, silence is mistaken for peace, and truth is traded for opinion. But Scripture shows us, just like David on the battlefield against Goliath, that evil grows when it goes unnamed. Intimidation loses its power the moment we call it out for what it is and declare God’s truth in its place. In this message, we unpack why the real fight isn’t physical but spiritual, why silence fuels giants, and how your words can set the stage for victory. It’s time to stop bowing to intimidation and start standing boldly in God’s authority.
Most of us think our biggest struggles are external, money, relationships, career; but scripture reminds us that the real battle is spiritual, unseen, and internal. Just like David faced Goliath, we must confront rejection, fear, doubt, and intimidation before we ever face the giants in front of us. In this message, we’ll uncover why you’re not the underdog when you’re under God, how to stop betting against yourself, and how to fight from a place of faith so you can step into real victory.
In John 13, Jesus didn’t just share a meal; He set the model for discipleship by picking up a towel and washing His disciples’ feet. The table represents comfort, position, and consumption, but the towel represents humility, service, and transformation. Tonight’s message, Take Your Towel, challenges us to stop settling for the table life of consuming and start living the towel life of serving, where pride is wiped away and Christ is truly revealed. The question is: are you gripping the table, or will you take your towel?
Life can feel like a wild world; full of storms, questions, and unexpected turns. But no matter how chaotic things get, there’s a direction that never changes: True North. This message unpacks what it means to build your life on the unshakable foundation of Jesus. From seasons of doubt to moments of fear, loneliness, or hopelessness, discover how trusting Him will keep you steady, guided, and strong no matter what comes your way.
Life will hit you harder than any punch, disappointments, temptations, and spiritual battles come for everyone. Rocky Balboa said it’s about “how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward,” but God’s Word says something even more powerful: “After you have done everything… stand.” (Ephesians 6:13). In this message, we’ll break down the Armor of God and discover how standing in Christ, not our own strength is the only way to truly endure. Because the armor isn’t just spiritual equipment, it’s Jesus Himself.
We live in a world that tells us “more is better," more success, more money, more recognition. But Jesus flips the script: less is more. From Roz in The Wild Robot to the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings, we see that real life isn’t found in clinging to what looks valuable now, but in surrendering it to make room for something far greater. Paul reminds us in Galatians 5 that the fruit of the flesh leaves us empty, while the fruit of the Spirit fills us with life. This message challenges us to stop holding on to what keeps us comfortable and start aligning with God’s will because when love is the root, sacrifice becomes the fruit.
Inside every one of us is a war no one else can see; a battle between who God calls us to be and the old lies, habits, and desires trying to pull us back. From the gripping true story of John Nash in A Beautiful Mind to the raw honesty of the Apostle Paul in Romans, we’ll uncover why victory over sin doesn’t start with trying harder, it starts with surrender. Discover the key to silencing the voices that hold you back, breaking the cycle of regret, and walking in true spiritual freedom. If you’ve ever felt stuck, this is the roadmap out.
What if the most powerful victories come not when you feel strong, but when everything in you wants to give up? In this message, we dive into the incredible true story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic athlete turned WWII prisoner of war, who refused to be broken. Through pain, isolation, and relentless suffering, Louis discovered something deeper than survival: the strength to stand. His story mirrors what many of us face spiritually — the weight of pressure, the voice of discouragement, and the temptation to give up. But the Bible teaches us that endurance isn’t the finish line — it’s the bridge to our purpose. You’ll discover how to tap into God’s power, what to tell yourself when you feel weak, and why your pain might actually be the birthplace of your purpose. This isn’t just a message. It’s your wake-up call to stand.
What if your dreams being delayed wasn’t the real issue—but your direction was? Inspired by Up, this message explores how we often chase purpose like Carl Fredricksen chased Paradise Falls—carrying memories and regret, but missing the map that matters. From a forgotten compass in the woods to Joshua’s calling after Moses’ death, we unpack why the Bible isn’t just a holy book—it’s your survival guide. You’ll discover how Scripture grounds you when life shakes you, shapes you for the life you're meant to lead, and reframes life’s biggest problems into divine possibilities. This isn’t about blind faith—it’s about anchoring your life to something trustworthy when the world starts to spin.
What if the thing holding you back isn’t your past, your pain, or your failures but your belief that you’re not meant for more? Inspired by Coach Carter’s powerful story and the bold prayer of Jabez, this message challenges the labels we wear and the limits we place on our own lives. Through biblical insight, practical examples, and personal reflection, we unpack how to break free from fear, step into your God-given purpose, and live beyond what you’ve ever imagined. You don’t need perfect faith, just the courage to believe again. It’s time to trade your labels for God’s glory.
Have you ever looked in the mirror and questioned who you really are? In this powerful message inspired by Mufasa: The Lion King and the story of the prodigal son, we explore what happens when we forget our identity in Christ. Whether you’ve drifted through pain, shame, or pressure, you’re not alone and you’re not disqualified. Learn how God restores your purpose, reaffirms your identity, and calls you to more than just survival. You were never meant to live like a servant when you were born a son. It's time to remember who you are.
You might laugh at Dumb and Dumber, but are you living the same way—spiritually? In this message, we explore how godly wisdom is more than just knowing the right verses—it's about building your life on truth instead of impulse. Our world celebrates fast decisions, loud opinions, and blind confidence, but scripture calls us to live wisely and cautiously. Through stories from Proverbs, Jesus’ teaching, and Solomon’s humble prayer, we uncover how wisdom provides clarity, protection, and opportunity. Without it, you might be making decisions that feel right… but lead to disaster. Don’t just live confidently—live wisely.
You’ve been delivered… but are you decided? In this powerful message, we unpack why getting out of Egypt was just the beginning for Israel—and for us. God’s deliverance sets you free, but your decisions determine whether you stay that way. From the Red Sea to the Promised Land, every step required bold faith, hard choices, and obedience under pressure. We’ll explore the stories of Moses, Joshua, and Louis Zamperini—people who stood at the crossroads of fear and faith—and discover how one decision can shape your destiny. If you’ve ever felt stuck after a spiritual breakthrough, this message is for you. Deliverance is God’s part. Decision is yours. Choose today.
Are you stuck in a cycle that feels impossible to break? In this message, we explore how the Israelites didn’t just wander in the wilderness—they were trapped in patterns of fear, disobedience, and doubt that many of us still experience today. Drawing from Numbers 13–14 and Deuteronomy 8, we unpack why the wilderness repeats what we refuse to let God repair, and how our past, if not reframed through faith, becomes a stronghold that dictates our future. With powerful analogies like the “spin cycle” and “life ruts,” we’ll show how the key to breaking free isn’t waiting for things to change—but walking in obedience, even while afraid. If you’ve ever wondered why you keep circling the same emotional, spiritual, or relational challenges, this message will help you decode the pattern, confront the giants within, and finally step into the promises God has prepared for you.
You’ve been living on daily grace—and you’ve gotten used to it. Just like Israel in the wilderness, many believers start out amazed by God’s provision, only to grow numb when the miracle becomes routine. This message exposes how a craving for the past can corrupt your view of the present—and why God’s mercy still shows up even when our maturity doesn’t. From manna in the morning to meat in the evening, we explore the wild, undeserved love of a God who feeds complainers, leads the ungrateful, and refuses to give up on the fragile. But beware: what you refuse to forget may ultimately rob you of God’s fullness. If you've ever felt stuck in a cycle, wrestling with entitlement, or tired of trying to earn what God already gave—you’re not alone. God loves the wild ones. And He’s not done with you yet.
Fathers are frontline warriors—fighting for their families, marriages, children, and sanity. But while they carry the weight of the world, most fight silently, unseen, and unfueled. This message exposes the emotional battle men are losing behind the scenes—anxiety, loneliness, exhaustion—and how God never intended for them to fight while empty. With the story of David as a blueprint, we explore how worship, surrender, and being seen by God become the true fuel every father needs. Whether you’ve been overlooked or overwhelmed, this message will remind you: the strength to stand comes from the God who sees you, fuels you, and fights with you. It's time to refuel and rise.
In this message, we dive into “The Wilderness Within”—a spiritual battleground that’s far more dangerous than any desert outside us. We explore the moment in Exodus 32 when Israel, freshly freed from slavery, turns their gold into a god. But this isn’t just their story—it’s ours too. Why do we keep choosing what breaks us? What idols have we built in God’s absence? And how do we kill them before they kill us? From inner restlessness to misplaced trust, this video unpacks the real reasons we wander and the path back to freedom through recognition, resistance, and repentance. This one isn’t just teaching—it’s soul surgery.
Darkness is part of every believer’s journey—but it’s not the end of the story. In this powerful message, we dig into Psalm 23 and uncover the often-missed truths about how God leads us through the valleys, not just out of them. You’ll learn why provision isn’t about what’s around you but who’s with you, how God uses darkness to shape rather than shake your faith, and why even in your lowest moments, goodness and mercy are tracking you down. If you’ve ever asked, “Where is God when it’s dark?”—this message will help you see that sometimes, the light shows up one step at a time.
There’s a blessing over your life that’s more than poetic — it’s deeply personal. In this message, we unpack the powerful truth of Numbers 6:24-26 and the unexpected story of Zacchaeus to reveal that God’s blessing isn’t based on performance, popularity, or perfection. It’s not a spiritual lottery where only the "good enough" get picked — it’s a divine pursuit where God calls your name, not a number. Despite the opinions of the crowd or the labels from your past, you’ve been intentionally chosen, fully seen, and deeply loved. This isn’t just about forgiveness; it’s about restoration, identity, and calling. If you’ve ever wondered if you’re really blessed or just spiritually overlooked, this message will remind you: God hasn’t missed you. His face is turned toward you.
What if the reason you’re exhausted isn’t because life is too hard… but because you’re carrying what God never called you to? In this powerful teaching, we explore the story of Abraham and Lot—how a well-intentioned decision to carry an emotional burden outside of God's assignment nearly fractured the promise God gave him. You’ll discover why even noble responsibilities can become spiritual dead weight, how to recognize the “Lot” you’re dragging along, and what it means to walk in the rhythm of grace that Jesus offers. It’s not just about rest—it's about resilience. Don’t miss this life-changing perspective shift that could free you from spiritual burnout and lead you back into God’s best for your life.

In this powerful message, we unpack how confidence built on deception can lead to devastating consequences, through the biblical journey of Elijah. Learn how false beliefs become the caves we hide in and why God sometimes whispers instead of shouting. This isn’t just a Bible story—it’s your story. And it’s time to confront the lie that’s been driving your life.

This message isn’t just a celebration—it’s a commissioning. Mama, you weren’t made up. You were made new. And you were made for more.
What if the reason you can’t see what God is doing isn’t because He’s hiding it—but because you’re not obeying what He’s already shown you? In this message, “Eyes That See,” we explore the powerful moment in John 9 when Jesus heals a blind man using mud—an unconventional act with a supernatural lesson. Spiritual blindness affects more than just our ability to perceive truth; it impacts every step we take. Through Scripture, raw truth, and personal stories of risky obedience, you’ll discover why clarity doesn’t come before faith—it comes through it. This message will confront your comfort, challenge your logic, and call you to deeper vision through the lens of trust, obedience, and supernatural faith.

This isn’t just a story about a man who ran—it's about how God chases us down even when we don’t agree with Him. Are you avoiding a calling because it challenges your pride? This teaching will help you confront the Nineveh in your heart and see how obedience—even messy, reluctant obedience—can still lead to revival.

Starting a church is a radical step of faith, and for our Pastors, it was a journey long in the making. Their journey didn’t begin overnight; it was a calling God placed on their hearts years ago, preparing them as youth pastors for the bigger vision ahead. While the journey wasn’t easy, God’s provision never failed. Their faithfulness reminds us that having a God-given vision requires radical steps, but through His strength, they persevered. We are here today because of their obedience to the call, and we celebrate their leadership and unwavering commitment to the body of Christ.

In this message we explore what it truly means to fear God. This week, we connect the wisdom found in Proverbs 24:3-4 and Psalm 111:10 to the stages of building a life that matters. Just as the MEPs, insulation, drywall, and paint are essential in constructing a strong, functional, and comfortable home, our reverence for God is foundational to our spiritual growth. We'll learn from Moses' journey in Exodus 3-4, where his reverence for God led him to extraordinary encounters, yet his imagined fears almost held him back. Through this, we'll see how respecting and trusting God shapes our path, challenges our doubts, and strengthens our faith, helping us build a life that truly honors Him. Let's explore together the stages of our spiritual walk, from foundation to function, and understand the importance of cutting out unbelief as we aspire to draw closer to God.

In today’s message, we explore the revolutionary power of the radio and how it mirrors our need to hear from God. Just as we once adjusted our radios to catch the best reception, we must similarly tune our hearts and minds to hear God’s voice clearly. This lesson is beautifully illustrated in the story of Samuel, who, despite growing up in the temple and being familiar with the things of God, initially struggled to discern His voice. Samuel’s journey from hearing about God to hearing from God highlights the importance of drawing near to Him personally, beyond the influence of others. By examining Samuel’s experience and Jesus’ teachings about the intimate relationship between a shepherd and his sheep, we learn that consistently following Jesus and tuning out the static of other voices is crucial to receiving divine direction and wisdom. Join us as we delve into how we can fine-tune our spiritual antennas to stay connected to the ultimate source of guidance and truth.
As believers, we find joy and transformation through our relationship with God. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, encourages us to live by the Spirit’s power, producing qualities like love, joy, peace, and kindness. True happiness is not a goal but a by-product of knowing and walking with God, as emphasized by Jesus in John 15:9-11. True happiness lies in appreciating what we have, cultivating a grateful heart, and focusing on eternal rather than temporary things, as reflected in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and Colossians 3:2-4. Ultimately, Jesus' teachings guide us to a deeper, lasting form of happiness through spiritual growth and alignment with God's will.
Today's message is inspired by the Backstreet Boys' iconic song "I Want It That Way," which topped charts globally and became a 90s anthem. The song's exploration of conflict in relationships reflects a deeper issue of selfishness that we all struggle with. In this video, we'll delve into a biblical perspective on overcoming selfishness and resolving conflicts, using Jesus' parable in Luke 12:16-21 as a guide. We'll discuss practical steps from scriptures such as Proverbs 16:32, James 1:19-21, and Hebrews 12:14-16 to help us manage our anger, seek peace, and improve our communication. By aligning our desires with God's instructions, we can experience healing and harmony in our relationships.
In today's message, we draw inspiration from Journey's 1981 hit "Don't Stop Believin'," rooted in keyboardist Jonathan Cain's personal struggles and his father's advice to keep believing in his dreams. This timeless message resonates with anyone facing life's challenges. Similarly, in John 11, Jesus addresses both physical death and disbelief when raising Lazarus, teaching us that faith must be cultivated daily. As Paul emphasizes in 1 Corinthians 9:26-27, disciplined faith prepares us for life's challenges. Join us to learn how to live by faith and keep believing in the dreams God has placed within us.
Today’s message, “We Are Family,” draws from Sister Sledge's 1979 disco hit, symbolizing unity and diversity. In today’s world, the church is intended to be a unifying space, yet it often appears as an institution rather than a family, creating divisions that go against God’s design. Ephesians 2:19-21 emphasizes that believers are family members of God's household, continually growing together. However, like the Corinthian church, many modern congregations face internal divisions. The church, therefore, must strive to embody the true essence of being God's family, finding joy in our differences and strengthening one another through love and unity.
After all that we’ve learned and experienced since starting the journey of following Jesus, the only thing left to do is share God's love with as many people as possible. Despite their doubts and insecurities, Jesus commanded His disciples to "Go" and make disciples of all nations. This sermon emphasizes that we don't need to be fully prepared to start sharing the Gospel; we just need to trust in Jesus's authority and take action. Just like Peter, who left his nets to follow Jesus and became a fisher of men, we must let go of our own plans to embrace God's greater plan for us. Sharing the message of salvation is crucial because it brings healing, rescue, and wholeness to others. Join us as we explore the importance of going forth with faith, operating under Jesus's authority, and passionately pursuing the call to spread the good news.
When we think about why loving the "ONE" matters most, we might say it's because it can make a difference in people's lives. However, the true significance lies in loving and serving others as if we are loving and serving Jesus himself. Reflecting on Matthew 25:31-40, Jesus teaches that our actions toward "the least of these" are seen as actions toward Him. Are we living like sheep, following our Shepherd with love and compassion, or like goats, focused on our own independence? As Peter demonstrated in Acts 3:6-8, seeing others through Jesus' eyes allows us to meet deeper needs with acts of kindness. Even small acts can have eternal effects, fulfilling profound needs in the lives of others. Remember, it's not about how much you do but how much love you put into what you do. Let's explore how serving with God's love makes a lasting difference.
When we think about fathers, we each have unique beliefs and experiences that shape how we view and interact with them. Similarly, God has His ideas and a vision for fathers. Understanding and accepting this can help restore the image and identity of fathers, which has diminished in the eyes of many today. In this message, we delve into how fathers serve as jewels that adorn the crown of children, affirming their beauty, honor, and worth. We also explore the Biblical story of a father desperate for his son's healing and how Jesus' compassionate intervention provides a blueprint for supporting fathers today. Join us as we discuss the crucial role of fathers, their need for support, and the power of prayer in helping them thrive amidst the challenges they face.
In this message we reflect on God's inclusive love for all and our unique creation in His image. In John 17:20-23, Jesus prays for believers to be one, just as He is one with the Father. This unity is not something we create, but something we are brought into through Jesus. When we identify as one, all other distinctions fade away, and our unity is anchored in Jesus, who is our Way, Truth, and Life. As believers, we must maintain our bond with Christ, like bricks held together by mortar, to form an immovable, unified body. Understanding our purpose to spread the gospel and live in compassion and forgiveness binds us in perfect unity. Our authority as believers is activated when we focus on being one with God and His purpose, praying and acting with the authority He has given us.
In this message, we explore how God's promises empower us to rise above life's storms, much like an eagle soaring above the clouds. We learn the importance of trusting our instruments—our faith and God's Word—over our instincts. Delve into Isaiah 40:31 and Romans 12:12 to understand how waiting on the Lord renews our strength and enables us to mount up with wings like eagles. Discover the transformative process of spiritual molting and hear the inspiring story of an eagle that believed it was a chicken, reminding us that we are destined to soar. We also discuss the critical role of steadfast faith, the power of prayer, and keeping our eyes on the horizon to navigate through life's darkest hours. In this message we explore how God wants to use each of us as His Plan A to reach and touch lives. Through Matthew 19, we see a young man seeking something more meaningful, realizing that possessions and accomplishments aren't enough. Jesus emphasizes the importance of loving others and following Him wholeheartedly. 2 Corinthians 5 reminds us that God reconciled us through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. We're called to be His ambassadors, showing God's love through our actions. Matthew 5 teaches us to be salt and light, enhancing and illuminating the world around us. Instead of creating battlegrounds, we should seek common ground, as illustrated in 1 Corinthians 9. Lastly, 1 Corinthians 3 highlights the importance of patience, trusting God to make seeds of love grow. Embrace your role in God’s Plan A, allowing His love to flow through you to others.
"God Loves the One," reflects on the balance between truth and love in ministry. In Luke 15:2, the Pharisees criticized Jesus for welcoming sinners. Jesus responded with parables, such as the lost sheep (Luke 15:3-6) and the lost coin (Luke 15:8-9), illustrating that everyone holds equal value in God's eyes and no one is a lost cause. Our impatience often blinds us to the gradual work God is doing (2 Peter 3:8-9). Like planting seeds, our role is to plant and water while trusting God to grow (1 Corinthians 3:6). The story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:20) reminds us that restoration begins with seeking out those in need. We must meet people where they are, sharing God's love and truth, showing them their worth as determined by God.
In today's message, we are "Unmasking Faith Killers." At the dawn of creation, Adam and Eve enjoyed perfect relationships with God and each other, living in peace and security due to their complete trust in God. However, they eventually fell prey to a silent killer that destroyed their faith and brought destruction into their lives. We explore how these faith killers—hidden lies we entertain—can infiltrate our hearts and lives. By examining our hearts and aligning our beliefs with God's truth, as illustrated in Luke 6:44-45 and Psalm 139:23-24, we can identify and eliminate these threats. Furthermore, placing our faith in God rather than in human wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:5) and persevering through trials (James 1:2-4) strengthens our faith. Finally, true faith is demonstrated through actions aligned with God's will, as emphasized in James 2:14. Join us as we learn to expose and eradicate the silent killers threatening our faith journey.

Drawing parallels between biblical figures like Deborah and modern-day women, the discussion emphasizes the importance of aligning words with God's truth, speaking with authority grounded in sound doctrine, and embodying God's love in action. 'She Speaks Wisely' inspires women to embrace their role in God's plan, nurturing their families with words of faith, speaking truth with discernment, and living out God's love in every aspect of life.
This message delves into the intricate dynamics of faith, elucidating the profound truth encapsulated in Romans 10:17: "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Drawing a poignant analogy of sifting sand mixed with pebbles, it underscores that true faith isn't mere reception but an active engagement with the Word. Through the story of Peter, whose transformation from a flawed fisherman to a pillar of faith illustrates the journey from mere reception to genuine understanding and action, we learn that the condition of our hearts determines the fruitfulness of our faith. Whether our hearts are hard, troubled, or crowded with distractions, the key lies in nurturing a hearing heart—one that not only receives but accepts and acts upon the Word, leading to exponential growth in faith and life deeply rooted in God's truth.
In this message, we explore the profound significance of sacrifice and resurrection in the Christian faith. Through compelling biblical examples like Moses, Abraham, and Peter, we are challenged to consider what we need to leave to fully follow Jesus. Don't miss this powerful reminder to keep your focus forward and avoid the pitfalls of looking back. Tune in to unlock the transformative potential of leaving behind the old to embrace the new life offered in Christ."
This message teaches us that faith transcends our senses; it operates beyond the visible boundaries we perceive. Consider Peter's bold step onto the water when Jesus called him. It defied logic, yet Peter walked until doubt crept in. His story teaches us crucial lessons: firstly, we must heed God's specific instructions, and secondly, that big steps of faith are built upon small, obedient acts. Failure is inevitable, but it's in failing forward that we grow. When we walk in faith, we walk with Jesus, following His guidance. So, when faith seems senseless, remember that obedience to God's Word opens the door for His manifest presence in our lives, empowering us to navigate life's storms with unwavering trust.

Through a blend of biblical wisdom and contemporary insights, “Flip or Flop” offers a compelling invitation to exchange self-limiting narratives for the liberating truth of God’s promises.

This reflects a broader spiritual message relevant to many today: the danger of underestimating the boundless power of faith in Jesus. The act of burial, a metaphor for containing belief within the limits of human understanding and doubt, serves as a poignant reminder of the infinite nature of God's ways and the transformative power of living a life fully surrendered to Christ. In life's the perspective we adopt determines how we navigate our lives. Our spiritual eyes can grow weary from fixating on problems and obstacles. Yet, the remedy lies in lifting our gaze heavenward, recognizing that our help comes from the Lord who reigns over heaven and earth. While we live in times of great technological advancement and an ever-changing world, many live in pre-historic times – not because we’re cavemen, but because some of us still prefer caves. and Caves give us the illusion of safety but are the place of limitation: where we hide and settle; where vision grows dim because we conform to living in the dark; and where possibilities die because we cease dreaming because we resist change. If we are to experience the power of God’s immeasurable ability and purposes in our lives, we must come out of our caves and into the light.
Like Braddock’s story in the movie Cinderella Man, our lives are full of ups and downs, good times and not-so-good times. At times we can feel cornered, tested, pushed beyond our limits, and life feels like one big fight… because it is! In the bible, its called, faith! In this message, we learn lessons from the story of Gideon on how to fight by faith.
In this sermon, we look at the movie Back To The Future to learn how what we’ve done in the past has affected where we are now and how the past can affect our future if we remain stuck there in the present. We learn how to move on from the past into our present so we can live with a focus on the future and enjoy new life in Christ. How do we do that? It’s what the bible refers to as living with hope.
The sense of feeling stuck while following Jesus is nothing new nor is it an exclusive experience. In this message, we view an example from Finding Nemo & Finding Dory, and see what it is like to feel trapped stepping into a new life in Christ. We also examine the scriptures to learn about breaking free and staying free so we can move ahead and grow.
For many, when it comes to loving and serving people it is a touch-and-go matter, but if we’re going to make a difference that has a lasting impact and eternal results, we must be people that determine that we are here to stay. In this message, we learn what it takes for us to stay and how we are planting our flag in the City of Newburgh.
Love for our neighbors leads us to see beyond the faces of people. Love enlightens us about their need for love and our call to action. In this message, we learn how to see our neighbors in order to truly serve them.
In this message, we focus on a neighbor among us that is commonly overlooked and needs love from all of us as neighbors, fathers. We continue to examine the parable of the Good Samaritan and we learn three key points that will help fathers heal.
In this message, we continue to look into the parable of the "Good Samaritan." We learn that we cannot love our neighbors if we don’t invite them into our lives by coming into their lives. The reason why God calls us to love our neighbors is because He wants to build bridges that facilitate healing and bring people far apart together.
If we are going to love our neighbors, we must be willing to serve them sacrificially. When we refuse to love our neighbors, we sacrifice them to the possibility of missing out on an encounter with God. In this message, we continue to glean from the parable of the Good Samaritan to learn what it takes to love and care for people.
If we are going to love our city and allow God to use us to love our neighbors, we must get over our biases. We all have biases. We choose relationships based on biases; some of us choose where we live based on biases; choose the churches we attend based on biases. In God’s family, there is no bias because everyone needs God. Since this is the case, we cannot choose whom we love based on their background, skin color, economic status, political views, social standing, gender, ethnicity, agreement/disagreement with our beliefs, and appearance – BECAUSE GOD WANTS THEM TO BE A PART OF HIS FAMILY TOO.
Oftentimes when it comes to acts of service and expressing the love of God, we go for them in moments. Some of us do it out of duty, for an emotional high, or out of obligation. In this message, we examine a parable and see that there are three types of people: Robbers, Religious People, and the One Who Loves. Which neighbor are you? Which neighbor do you commit to be from this day forward?
Mothers are invaluable and play a very important role in the home and in the life of their children. When we honor our mother, we are honoring God. In this message, we look at a miraculous path to motherhood from the life of Mary and Elizabeth.
Have you ever heard the statement, "Show me who you hang with and I'll tell you who you are?" There is truth in this statement because relationships not only matter to us, they make us. In this message, we examine Rehoboam's tragic mistake and learn how to choose relationships wisely.
Have you ever done something foolish? Something that you can look back on and realize that there was no wisdom in it? In this message, we will learn how to start approaching life through wisdom so we can look back with joy instead of regret.
We've all heard the old adage, "don't sweat the small stuff," but we should sweat it because small stuff matters. The little things we allow to go uncorrected, the small stuff that we let slide, is what life's biggest problems are made of. In this message, we learn from Proverbs 6 what the ant teaches us about wisdom and why we should choose to do the little things that matter most.
God's wisdom should be the most desirable thing in our lives because it is the one thing that provides a sure return. God's wisdom does not need any additives, no preservatives, or pesticides; it's perfect just the way that it is. We just need to invest our time and thoughts on harvesting it for ourselves and to share with those around us.
Christ has redeemed us because the price has been paid for. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light; He's the one that helps us get there, but we must be willing to go there. In this message, we look at the story of The Road To Emmaus (Luke 24:19-34) to learn how God has been walking alongside us this whole time.
Believe it or not, there is a direct path in life that simplifies things. This path can lead us directly to God's intended purposes and the best results for our lives. God wants us to make our paths straight, to show us a better way but to see it we must step out of our own understanding. When we do, our path is straightened and life becomes less complicated.
One of the greatest challenges to following the wisdom of God is our natural ability to hear his voice. Why do we turn away from God's wisdom? One of the most common reasons is that we believe that hearing about God is the same as hearing from God. In this message, we learn how to search for wisdom and how to respond to wisdom's call.
There's a difference between God's wisdom and man's wisdom. Man's wisdom is dumb - slow to understand, lacking good judgment, lacking acuteness of vision and perception. God's wisdom provides us with knowledge, understanding, and application. In this message, we'll learn how to rely on God's wisdom for our continual growth in life.
We were honored to have Pastor Tommy Kyllonen join us and share a message about his book entitled "Frames." In this message, we learned how our frames can change the game by flipping from a pessimistic view to an optimistic view, from being greedy to being generous, and from temporary to eternal. Our frames give us a new prescription to see clearly the vision God has for our lives.
Tomorrow doesn't start tomorrow; it starts with what we do today. Either way, we are paying for tomorrow because we're spending in our lives today. The best way to win the day is by living in such a way that it creates purpose for tomorrow which goes beyond our lifetime. In this message, we learn how to live to leave a legacy.
We are planted in God's righteousness and freedom. When we remain planted and follow God's instruction we will always exceed where we currently are. In this message, we learn the keys to staying planted for growth based on 1 Corinthians 15:58
God’s word provides us tools for every facet of life, as we apply the truth by following what it teaches us, we become prepared and ready for what God has ahead. In this message, we learn the important role that preparation plays so that we can readily step into God’s plans as the opportunity presents itself.
God does not impose pain or conjure up hurtful experiences to help us grow. This does not negate the fact that we undergo painful circumstances in life. In this message, we learn how to respond in the face of these circumstances and turn pain into gain.
Every day is a gift from God and what we do with it matters. Our thought life is like a box that can trap us unless we learn how to break free from it. Without renovation in the mind we cannot expect transformation for our lives. In this message, we learn how to break the box in our mind so we can win the day.
Life with God is a guarantee that we have hope for tomorrow, provides us purpose beyond today and provides us an escape out of the temporal and into the eternal. But the truth is it takes power beyond our means in the present to win at life. The promise tomorrow always holds pressure today. In this message, we learn how we can effectively press on today so that we can win the day and see what God has provided into our tomorrows.
The last supper was more than a final meal, it was a declaration and depiction of what our Lord was establishing for his church. That we would become one body and one people and that our focus would become singular in our worship of the one and true living God.
When challenged do you expect the best or see the worse? We have the right and a reason to life life as an overcomer. In this message we learn what we must do when we struggle to overcome and drift away from our identity. By looking at the example of Jesus and the disciples we learn three key points that will help us make it though the storm and to win the day.
If we are going to Win The Day, we must consider what we are filling our day with. For most life consists of wanting more; more time, more things, more people, more money, more, more more... The only thing we need more of is Jesus and less of everything else. In this message, we learn from the story of Elisha and a widow how to stop seeking temporary fixes and to seek eternal fixes when we give God less of what we want.
Change is oftentimes challenging. We like what we grow accustomed to, we like to be in the know or prefer only what we know. Yet change is necessary if we're going to get anywhere with our faith and in life. To win at life we must be willing to challenge our perception of change sot hat we can be all that God created us to be and thrive in all that He created us to do. In this message, we learn from the life of Jabez and how we overcome the challenge of change.
With the start of the new year, there are many people who choose to aim for goals and a new mindset to inspire growth and opportunities in the new season of their lives. A lot of these goals and resolutions often come with a promise to ourselves that sounds good, but do we have the plan to execute these new goals? In this message, we learn how to evaluate the steps that need to take place to achieve our goals and what we need to keep doing, start doing, and stop doing in order to achieve that goal.
What we do today matters because it determines the fulfillment of God’s purposes and the influence or lack of influence that can exert in our lives. In this message, we learn from the moment Moses realized the opportunity for a miracle was in his hands. We also learn how to start using the faith we have at hand and how to grow strong with the ability to withstand all that life throws at us.
At the birth of Christ, there were so many that saw the star that shone brightly and announced his entrance as Savior but not everyone saw the same thing. In this message, we learn how to let our light shine in the world so that others can see the light that Christ is in our lives.
While the Grinch attempted to steal Christmas by taking the presents, food, and Christmas trees from the Whos in Whoville he was in shock when he heard them singing on Christmas morning. Like the Grinch, many people did not know that they had a part in God's Joy with Jesus' birth. In this message, we learn how to lead our lives with joy and how to choose joy in the midst of trying situations.
Like the Grinch, there were many who at the birth of Christ, could not conceive or receive the gift that Christ was meant to be unto them. In this message, we look at the day Zechariah almost stole his own gift. We learn how to go from stealing from ourselves to receiving what God has already promised.
Have you ever had a wave of hopelessness wash over you? God wants us to overflow with hope because he desires that we have joy and peace. In this message, we learn how to find hope by staying focused on the future, remembering that problems are temporary, and being aggressive in prayer.
In the story of the Grinch, we are told his heart was two sizes too small. In the same way, when we do not seek to understand who Christ is and his purposes for our lives, our hearts will shrivel and grow cold. In this message, we learn how King Herod had no room in his heart for another king and how we can enlarge our hearts to make room and relinquish control for the plans and purposes God has for our lives.
When we sow God's Word consistently into our life, it will produce growth in us spiritually and in our day-to-day life. All growth starts small and those small seeds that God is planting in our life through His word are working in us to develop great results. Church matters because it is essential to our growth.
What stops us from living in service to others? As Christians, we are called to serve people because it saves lives and it serves God. Serving others comes at an expense of sacrifice. In God's Kingdom, we add to our lives by serving which makes room for God's blessings for us and for others.
As believers, we all have power. We have "IT" because we are carrying on what Jesus began to do and teach. For many of us, we are not operating in this power because we don't understand power. In this message, we glean from the life of Peter and how to walk in power so we can live by faith and help others arrive at faith in Christ.
Who do you say Jesus is in your life? Who He is to you determines who you are, what you do, and where you go in life. In this message, we look into a time when the disciples didn't know who Jesus was. Jesus has been walking with us this whole time, it's time that we stop waiting and surrender our control to God.
The closer we grow to knowing God and understanding the ways of His kingdom, the more we will come to realize that various aspects of our lives must die so that Christ might reign and live through our lives.
The seeds you have been sowing are about to produce a harvest. A harvest doesn't happen overnight, it takes place over time and you will grow what you sow. Wherever there is a harvest there is a scarecrow, that will show in the middle of your favor to try and scare your faith. When you focus on this year and what’s coming ahead, you will eat the fruit that you've been sowing.
The power that drives the Kingdom is love. This love should move the people of God to step out of their comfort and move in the direction that the Kingdom is moving. Unless we move in the direction of the Kingdom, we are not moving at all.
In this message, we examine the life of Paul in the book of Acts. Knowing that God loved them, but seeing that they were more concerned with idols they build themselves moved him to share the Kingdom with them.
The kingdom of God is not meant to complement our current world's culture, it's meant to influence it through God's People. We cannot reflect the culture or bow to it, we must make efforts to influence it, stand up to it, and honor God in face of cultural norms.
In this message, we learn from Daniel how cultural shifts take place and how as Daniel we can serve God and maintain a relationship with Him when things get culturally difficult. We also learn how to live according to God's Kingdom Culture by not blending, canceling culture, and speaking the truth rather than being silent.
The church is the vehicle by which the Kingdom of God touches this world and makes new life possible for people far from God. As His church, we must be missional with Christ's plan of salvation and make necessary changes in our own lives so that God's plan for the world might prevail through us. We must use the keys of the kingdom entrusted to us to open heaven's door and usher in lasting change. Before we can see people around us change, we the church must change!
The Kingdom of God is not made up of subjects but of priests/priestesses. As the priesthood, we all share an equal responsibility to minister to God to minister to each other in the church and to those outside the church in need of Christ.
In this message, we lean into the life of a man who rejected his royalty and did not accept his place at the king's table. God expects a return on our life, our time, and the resources He has put in our trust. Once we mature we stop making excuses and start making changes that allow us to sit at His table and to believe that we are a royal priesthood.
God wants to impact your life in the same way that seed impacts the ground. In this message, we examine a parable to learn how the Kingdom of God turns our lives upside down by transforming us. Digging into our own dirt is dirty work that requires us breaking ground pass the surface to become good ground. When we stay planted in the Word of God, we continue to grow roots and become a supplier that brings life that builds the entire church.
It was no surprise that many people began to follow Jesus, but eventually the many became few. They realized that Jesus wasn't simply teaching them about God's Kingdom but that He was calling them to a complete change of life that was defined by way of God's Kingdom. Jesus came to turn our lives upside down, so we can live on the right side of up.
What's this all about? It's about living an entirely new life, not our old one. It's about dying to self so that we can live to honor God and love others. It's about living for the Most High King instead of our own castles.
In this message we talk about how some of the junk in our life is affecting us more than we choose to see, especially in our relationship with God. Our lives are not just about our spirit, God has instructed to also take care of our body and our mind/soul.
God is always speaking, always reaching, knocking at the door. We hear the things that God wants us to do, and sometimes as quickly as we hear it we start applying our own thoughts and opinions based on our experiences, what we see, and what we hear from others. It is time to cut the junk. It is time we remove the obstacles we have put in the way that’s blocking the door that God is knocking on.
According to Jesus, as we grow in our understanding of Him and lean into a real relationship with Him, the result is rest in the soul. This is no ordinary rest; it’s a rest that makes life light (agile and quick); in other words, life becomes simpler and we’re able to do more and go further because we’re doing it together with Jesus.
Life can be light, but are you willing to learn from Jesus in place of only listening to Him (we’re not called to be listeners of Jesus, we’re called to be followers).
As you go about your day, seek God for who He is, not what He can do for you. The best way to guard your heart from heaviness is to receive and use His wisdom.
We continue this week learning that life is a journey and shouldn't be a burden. As we walk with Jesus, we learn to unpack things that are not within His will for our lives, and we carry the treasures He has blessed us with.
Have you ever stopped to consider what hurt truly is? Where it stems from? The purpose?
Hurt is self inflicted pain. We use it against ourselves and there is a proper response to pain. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus gives clear direction on burdens and heavy weight. Rest comes from what we take from Jesus, not what we carry.
This isn’t to say hurt doesn’t exist or we are immune to such feelings and experiences, however, we can decide to turn to hope. We can rejoice in the strength and healing He has gifted us.
As you go about your week, take time to think about what you’re feeding; is it what God says or is it what you say?
This week we explored what success means as a child of God. We tend to judge success based on the outside; all the things our human minds and hands can do. But, have you considered that success is not of our own doing?
Success is work of God’s hand; in every situation, place, and moment. He has declared you successful.
When we push and fight to reach the highest place in life and what we define as such, how come enough is never enough?
There is no such thing as success without God because to gain success on your own, creates weight.
God declared you blessed. As you walk through your week, think on these things and embrace the successful life He has given you.
Why do some of us still pursue sinful things that don't work, keep people around that we're better off without, and try to build a new life in places where we can grow?
When we try to experience life among dead things we aren’t able to reap the benefits God wants to give us. Some of us are robbing God and ourselves by wasting the miracle-working power of the forgiveness of Christ because we grow lax or give up on following Him.
After coming to the knowledge of what is good, true, and right, why would you go backwards?
The best way to live free and stay free is to start following Jesus and keep following Him for the remainder of your life.
Happiness has nothing to do with what's happening and has everything to do with God! You don't have to be stressed out or worked up. Evil is all around us but it does not have to overtake us! When you let God handle it, you'll remain happy.
Is the weight of unforgiveness worth carrying for the rest of your life? One of the heaviest pieces of luggage that some of us tend to lug around in life is unforgiveness.
Have you considered how quickly we are offended? What about considering that we get to choose peace?
A sobering piece of wisdom is realizing your offender is not the person that did you wrong, your offender is the plank you keep in your eye (which is determining how you perceive everything).
When we do this, we are using what we interpret as harmful or painful, and inflicting the same onto others around us.
When we wait on someone else, we hand over our freedom. You are free to forgive. You can live without hurts and walk in peace. You are free to heal.
Faith becomes complicated when we live in past moments experienced with God. Some people are busy trying to relive revivals experienced in the past. Those were good; special, but if you’re trying to relive yesterday’s experiences with God, you can’t experience the growth that faith affords us day by day.
Faith is not as complicated as we understand it and make it out to be. It is living with complete dependence, confidence, and trust in Jesus. Childlike faith (true faith) is lived out for the entirety of a life-time, not exclusive moments.
Today, let go of your manmade faith, and let God take the lead because it is light and full of blessing.
Do you panic? Do you make decisions based on feelings? What drives you daily? These are just a few questions to ask yourself as you dive into this week’s message about traveling light.
God has made it clear, to all of His children - do not take on the mentality of burden. You are planted in His goodness and grace. You are equipped with wisdom to help you each day.
What you allow to work on the inside can either make you or break you. He wants to grow your faith muscle and focus, onto things that are light. He wants you to have a different perspective on life.
Flip flops may currently be in season, but they are never in season for you! We make it hard at times because we flip-flop! We say yes to following Jesus, but then we flop by going back to unhealthy habits, destructive mindsets, selfish plans, and unscriptural beliefs. Flip-flopping is exhausting because the more we do it the harder life becomes. We learn through the life of the Samaritan Woman how to travel light on life's journey and live from a place of rest in the soul.
We can live life uncomplicated, free, and with deep and true joy. For many of us, this almost sounds like a fantasy or a far-fetched dream.
When we live for ourselves, carry our past, give up, and get religious about relationship with God - Life gets heavy because we overcomplicate relationship with Christ.
A key to living free of the burdens we create is found in the words of Jesus, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.”
Simply put, we are refreshed and recreated with new strength as we make it a continual practice to frequent the place of relationship with Jesus.
We live in a world where integrity is a moving target with no clear definition or concrete standards and the results we're seeing confirm it.
When we forsake our integrity, it is eventually found out. Mistakes don't happen when we make them, they happen when we break our integrity.
The scriptures say that God will not allow you to endure more than you can handle. You have got this and when you don't, God gives you a way of escape!
There are three points of pressure that tend to converge upon our lives whenever a mistake is in the making. Whenever we give in to any one of these pressure points, it will lead us to a misperception of truth, neglecting actual facts, and forsaking the right course of action.
Lust of the flesh, the eye, and pride, all lead to a place of consequences. It can take time to materialize; it can start with one decision.
The only way to overcome ungodly desires is to kill them. In cutting the lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eye, and the pride of life, we cut out what's unhealthy to ensure our overall health!
Endurance is not about bearing the weight of external and internal pressures. It's about pressing through life's pressures so that you can come out better, stronger, and achieve greater results over the course of life.
You may be enduring some difficulties presently, but God hears you. Your enemies may be reveling in your apparent fall, but you will rise again.
Do not allow what people tell you and the things they do dictate your story. You serve the author and finisher of your faith, and He promises to lift you up!
Mistakes. We have all made them and more than likely, we will make one again. Some of the mistakes we explore this week are in Genesis 3 and 1 Samuel 15. These scriptures emphasize that when one doesn’t take responsibility, that is the mistake.
When mistakes happen don’t look inward and believe it is a failure. God wants to help you turn around and use it as opportunities for growth.
God is always present and His voice is always speaking according to His wisdom and direction, but to restore our connection with Him, we must mute everything that pulls us away from Him and unmute His voice by tuning into what He is saying.
In this series, we have discussed what it means to honor God. This week we continue on the topic and dive into how the church honors God and one another.
The honoring church is made up of people whose love for God is evidenced through their actions in life, not where they sit on Sundays. We don't just honor God for the sake of being seen, we honor God and people in the unseen.
The church that honors God is one that leads with love first and foremost from within - two powerful reasons for loving one another.
People among us are those that operate in our current sphere of influence and life. They are people that we routinely cross paths with, rub shoulders with, and share similar experiences and commonalities with. We come across them routinely, but we don't take interest in them beyond what's necessary, or we do take interest in them at some point because of what they add to us.
If honor unto those among us is contingent upon who it is, what they do, if they deserve, if they'll recieve or if they honor us. The truth is that we don't understand honor and aren't doing it, because the decision isn't already settled in our hearts before we encouter them. To love and honor your neighbor requires appreciating the honor thawt God has bestowed upon your life.
What does honor look like as a child of God? Honor is a reflection of your relationship with God, it doesn’t require a high esteemed position or money. We honor Him by being obedient to our God-given assignment. There is a maturity being exercised when we exercise genuine demonstrations of honor unto others. When you are in a position of humility, you are in a position to give and receive blessings. As you venture into a new week, take a moment to reflect on what God has provided you and how you can use it to honor Him.
What was God’s master plan? Family.
The family is like a branch that when attached to the supporting structure of the tree which is our God, grows, bears fruit, and extends the tree's reach even further.
When you establish that your home exists to honor God and do not bend on that decision, God will honor you and chart a path into your tomorrow.
A map is a powerful tool because it can show us our destination and the route to get there all at once. If you solely focus on the destination point without mapping out the route, you'll never get to your desired end. You can live in the miracle working power of God, but you must be determined to face your fears with faith in God so you can arrive at the destination that God has in store for you!
Honor is to the Kingdom of God what air is to the life of every person. Without it we cannot go on with our existence as followers of Christ. The way we treat people entrusted to our care either honors God or dishonors Him. We learn in this message how to honor those in our care and how to build them up.
What does honor mean in the Kingdom of God? In general, we think of it as holding high regard, respect, and esteem. This is believed for many things in our daily lives. However, when we think of God and go about our daily lives, are we stopping to consider how we are putting forth honor?
Honor aligns itself with a humility that is submissive to the wisdom of God because we reverence God above all. It is not an action, it's an attitude. It is the direction that our heart is oriented toward and follows.
True humility is borne out of heart that genuinely cares for others not because they are better but because they hold great value.
This weekend we celebrated Christ’s resurrection! Too often we forget that His resurrection is also ours. It is more than an event to celebrate, it is a power to be experienced.
In order for us to fully experience His power, we have to tackle what we believe. At times, this means questioning when we turn to God. Is it in times of trouble only? Is it when we want something?
He wants us to break free from any and all bondage. Therefore, when we turn to His story, we are seeing our stories unfold, our redemption, and a hope that the world cannot provide.
At times “today” may feel heavy, hard, or pointless. Today might appear meaningless or difficult, but it isn't. Your life holds promise right now and what you do with it matters.
We can easily miss the promises of God by paying more attention to the past or worrying about tomorrow. But when we turn to God, we get to see the promises in today. Don't miss this moment, there is a promise at work today which God has already made available unto us.
If someone came to you with a blank check and asked you, “what do you want,” how would you respond? What would you write on the check? There are some who believe it wrong to think that God would ask you what you want, but they are wrong because God cares about our desires more than some of us care to ask.
Your invitation and your story are the pathways that God uses to bring hope, help, peace, and purpose into the lives of people.
The scriptures record a time when a man named Simon accepted an invitation that changed his life. Jesus asked him to cast out his nets which weren’t solely for the purpose of catching fish. His direction was an invitation for Simon to dive deeper and open his eyes to the promises God had for him.
Jesus was offering Simon an exchange on life, let go of your nets and your identity as a fisherman, so that I can show you a better life. When you lead people to Christ, you are helping them exchange who they thought they were for who they are in God's eyes. You are helping people discover the true value of their lives.
This week we looked at characteristics of a superhero. Superheroes are willing to meet people where they are; they’re intentional; and they always go for contact.
Sharing Jesus can be intimidating and uncomfortable. It requires us to put aside our comforts and doubts and step forward in faith. People matter to God and He has given you everything you need to love others.
We encourage you to be intentional about each interaction you have throughout the day, week and month. When we share our testimony, we are sharing Gods story. When we do this, we are passing the baton to another so they can begin to run the race.
Today, God is calling you to bring change because you’re a walking solution. You may struggle with doubt, thinking, and believing you aren’t qualified, but guess what? He has called you qualified and He wants you to share your story with others. Have you considered that your story is actually His story?
Matthew 10:8 offers clear direction, to go and give what He has given to us. Every person you encounter is His child. Think of it this way…you are an ambassador for Christ.
We are God's plan A; if we don’t show up neither will the truth.
You are battle ready and can overcome every vice of the enemy, but to do so you must fight by praying with understanding from the Word of God. If you don't believe in the authority that Jesus has, you cannot operate in it. Are you giving Him authority in every area of your life?
When our prayers are decreed with understanding from God's Word, like Daniel, God's angels respond. Our prayers in the natural wage war in the supernatural. If you are going to fight and win by prayer, you have to know how to fight in the supernatural.
When you pray, do you go to Him with confidence? God wants to exceed your expectations, but it depends on what you see when you pray. It’s easy to pray based on what our senses alert us of and as a result, our time with God can lack insight into the great things He sees. With trust and stability, you can expect to receive what you’re praying for according to God’s will.
Have you ever prayed like you were at a gambling machine? You were hoping and wishing God would hear you, if you said the right words at the right time. We often underestimate the reality that our God hears us each time.
Jesus told us to pray about everything, not when circumstances tell us. Each time you pray, you are inviting God to aid you as it ignites a power between you and Him.
When you know what God's will is through His Word, you can pray effective prayers because you are asking according to what pleases God.
od is asking “where are you?” He is looking to be in relationship with you. He wants to spend time with you. Today, it’s time to come out of hiding.
Prayer isn’t transactional and often we approach God with our needs, desires and wants. It becomes all about us and removes the emphasis of our love for God and confidence in His ability.
Prayer is the secret place in our hearts. Our Father understands our deepest emotions and thoughts and He isn’t afraid. But we have to allow Him access to work.
As you come to God, don’t let your condition become the death of your position in prayer. Allow Him into the secret place and watch Him work!
This week we started a new series called, “House of Prayer.” We begin to explore the meaning behind prayer and the power it holds. As we see, prayer isn’t restricted to certain locations or times.
God looks to hear from us and He wants to hear your voice today. He doesn’t look for religious adherence, He is looking to connect with you and hear what you don’t say. If you find yourself hesitating to pray, we encourage you to take a few minutes (wherever you are) and call out to your father. He is listening.
What comes after the victory?
True victory leads us to pass on the victory to others so they can also win. In Matthew 5:14-16, He says we are the light of the world….
Jesus says you are the light of the world. Yes, you! You are how Christ is revealed so the world around you can see who the Savior is.
We aren’t to hide our victories, live your faith openly (Mark 5:20). Believe it or not, someone is always watching and learning from you.
As you move forward in your week, think about your testimony. Those very stories are true power and encouragement to someone else’s life.
Don’t stop learning and growing because there will be more victories to be had.
“When is enough, enough?! When will what God says about you finally be enough for you to get up to believe that you’re not done, to take the risk to start again, to pursue that opportunity, to let go of your fear, to trust God and no longer trust man?
Have you found yourself running from uncomfortable circumstances? As we continue in our latest series, we study long David’s mightiest men and David himself. We find that despite their circumstances, they faced their situation head-on.
Jesus has done the work; it is complete. He has declared you a new creation with the strength and ability to overcome. If you find yourself ruminating or running from the past, we encourage you to lean in on the One who lives in you. The enemy’s roar may seem loud but God is with you and you can overcome.
Are you against the ropes and have lost focus? When we are out of focus, we lose sight of what’s most important. We strive for temporary success and forget that our God ordained calling leads us to eternal success. If you want to see the goodness of God and walk in your purpose, you must get rid of anything and everything that distracts and detracts you from God. Your focus is your responsibility. Are you seeking God with all your heart? You must call on Him, go to Him in prayer…if it’s been a while, today is your day. Go to Him.
To walk with God requires making a choice on a daily basis, to be in position and posture. Often we think that we own our lives, but we are actually stewards. As we continue in this new series we look into another one of David’s mightiest warriors, a man named Elezar. In the midst of our challenges, we can choose to always be faithful. It takes faithfulness to enjoy the goodness of God in the land of the living and to fulfill your God-given destiny.
Are you ready when God calls you to make a move?
God desires more than anything that we have success and accomplish great things, but to do so we must learn to tap into God's might within us and face life's obstacles head on.
This takes eliminating doubts, believing what God has said will come to pass and speaking in confidence (Matthew 11:22-24).
This week take time to meditate on God’s promises, to you. Surrender your flesh to His will, and allow yourself to step into new seasons of growth, change and fresh beginnings.
God has not only been faithful to see us through and sustain us as a ministry, God is faithful to you! God knows only one of relating to you and I – it’s with faithfulness – and were He not to do this, it would be the equivalent to denying His Name, His power, His nature (He would have to cease being God to do so).
Starting a new year can stir up new ideas, new plans, and new goals. When you think of the things God has placed in your heart, do you step forward with the mentality of “I can”? Unfortunately, there are too many believers today that don't see themselves in this way...we see ourselves as “cannot’s.”
Benaiah had real obstacles before him. He really did go up against Moab’s mightiest warriors, he really did go into that lion’s lair, and he really stood up to a mighty Egyptian enemy, but to do so he had to move past his excuses. Let this year be the time you move past challenges and operate in faith.
Just as Jesus was raised with God’s supernatural power from the dead, this same power is working in you and will raise you up and strengthen you.
Are you living in the rhythm of love? This means walking in love, without fear, and following the will of our Good Father.
In this lesson we look into the lives of Moses, David, Esther, and Daniel give us examples of courageous living. Their stories go beyond showing us an outcome; they show us taking risks, pushing our insecurities aside, gratitude, and faithfulness make way for God to move. In return, our relationship with God grows and our trust deepens.
The story of Christmas invites us to live with an awareness that home is not a house, a shelter, a residence where we come and go. Home is the place where our willingness bows and makes ways for the entrance of God into our hearts so that He can remain with us and we can find life with Him.
When it comes to generosity, for a lot of us our default mode of thinking is I can't! If we are going to walk into God's blessings and change the world, you have to "Reset Your Mindset." In this message from Pastor Joseph Nieves of Transformation Church we look at three mindsets that we can have when it comes to generosity: The Bag Mindset, The Basket Mindset, and The Barn Mindset.
This week we continue learning on the topic of generosity. We have learned that it isn’t a matter of what, how much, or when. Generosity goes beyond circumstantial events and moments; it is a lifestyle. Since starting this ministry, we have witnessed many of you, open your hearts to bless & love others through your generosity. Your time and talents have allowed the ministry to reach many in the community! It's time to be a people that build what's necessary instead of building what's temporary. Don't be a people that build for yourself at the expense of forsaking the Lord.
Do you operate on your own and believe you have nothing? God takes what you believe is nothing and combines it with His provision. This week we continue to learn that if we surrender to partnership with God, He blesses what we have so we can live generously. He teaches us that diligence and consistence, leads the way to be wise shepherds.
Wealth is not measured by money, it’s measured by the use of the opportunities that are laid up for you to apply your hands to. When we co-exist with God as partners, we can be confident that the good work God has commissioned us to do will be completed because we are in partnership with God!
This week we continue to dive deeper into the topic of generosity. God has been and is always generous to His children. He shows us that generosity isn’t a feeling, but a lifestyle. We see this in 2 Corinthians, John, and Luke. If we feel challenged by this, we can look at how He would like us to manage generosity in Matthew 14 and Mark 6. God clearly shows us that it isn’t about how we perceive or define generosity. We tend to think it’s based on what we can or cannot do or what we have or do not have. Two important pieces to consider is when God calls you, He has already given provision to do it, and God has entrusted us with the ability to bless others.
We have reached that time of year where “generosity” comes to be in abundance. Maybe you’ve experienced as of late, where you’re at the drive thru and find out the car in front of you already paid. These things feel good, seem good, and are widely welcomed. However, when we take a moment to reflect on what it means…generosity means more than “doing”; it’s a matter of the heart. This week we venture into Luke 12, where a man expresses the need for money. God’s word shows us that we indeed have everything we need and it goes far beyond material. The Kingdom is given freely to us. Without recognizing this, we lose sight of His abundance and focus on what we define as lack. It’s time to cut back and cut out some of the things that have our hands tied up and so full, that we can’t even receive the heart transplant that God is offering us today. As you open your heart to the power of a generous life, you will reap tranquility and abound to be a blessing!
As children of God, do you realize you’ve got it all? You could be walking around focusing on issues or challenges or past hang ups, and not realize that God is at work. As believers, we can get caught up in the void mindset, but forget that His grace is is more than enough. As you listen to this weeks message, we encourage you to sit in His presence and open your heart to the fact that God wants to be good to you. God wants one thing - you and His Grace is the only thing that’s ever enough.
In this message we learn from how the disciples spent their last moments with Jesus and the internal struggles that challenged them. They were in the right place, at the right time, with the right one but they couldn’t perceive it because they had forgotten everything that they had with Jesus.
This week we review the impact of judgment within the body. One of the dangers is we can inadvertently act like we are God, instead of acting like God. As a result, we can create an environment that focuses on sweating the small stuff rather than encouraging and lifting others up.
At times, we can have a judgmental attitude and forget the power of God’s plan for others and His heart toward them. Before choosing to exclude someone, consider if they believe wholeheartedly in Jesus. Lastly, we cannot forget that as a body, we are all walking the same journey…together.
Join us this week as we continue in Romans 13. This chapter gives us guidance on how to view and deal with civil authorities. When you think of the current times we are in, is your heart open to God’s direction or your feelings?
An important piece to consider is God is the originator of all authority, but He is not initiator of ungodly leadership. He is the supreme and final authority of all creation which also means this very nature is ingrained in people. Believer or not, every person was created in His image and likeness.
As you view this week's message, we encourage you to meditate on God’s word, His guidance, and the authority He has placed in your life. He has delegated His authority to mankind for good, but it is up to mankind to do good with it.
In God's kingdom, one + one = one. God's way to completeness and wholeness doesn't happen independently of relationships with His people. So why do many of us resist being in a community with others?
In Week 10 of our current series, "I'm Alright!" we examine Romans 12:3-8. Romans 12 reveals that each one of us carries gifts and that we are gifts of God to each other. If we are to enjoy the power of a renewed and transformed life, we must recognize that it is dependent upon us bringing into our relationship with others and each other in the body of Christ.
You are alright because you are moving with God! In this message Pastor Marcus Gill expands on Romans 12:1-2 with nine points that encourage us to continually keep moving with God while constantly are renewing and transforming our minds.
Can you imagine a life lived where you spend time with God daily, where you stop all the noise and busyness of the day and you daily quiet yourself before Him, listening to what He says?
We too must make room! But why make room? First of all, it’s for you, so that you will know Him better and fall in love with Him more deeply. Secondly, it’s for you to share with others, so they may know Him better and fall in love with Him more deeply, too.
How vulnerable are we as followers of Christ, to receive misinformation? When you think about who you receive information from, is it in line with God’s Word or is it what the world says is true? So often we get tangled up in the buzz of breaking news, receive what someone has said, or accept what we think of ourselves and others. When these things overpower what God says, we can go from a place of power to a place of powerlessness. The good news of the gospel becomes no news when you start listening to people.
In week 7, we dive into Romans 8 and the story of Jonah. Romans compares the difference between living by the flesh and living by the Spirit; One leads to life while the other leads to death. Our daily lives are a byproduct of what we are allowing to settle and be established in our minds. What are you full of?
God’s voice is always present in our lives but are we listening to Him or us? Many of us hear and read God’s Word but don’t follow through with practical application. God doesn’t wish for us to continue down that road because we can miss where He’s leading and miss the blessed life He has planned for us!
Join us as we go into week 6 of the latest series, I’m Alright!
This week we explore what it means to break free. Break free from our past lives, past mistakes, past mindsets. One of the most difficult things that any follower of Christ faces is breaking free from the identity we held prior to Christ.
In Romans 6, it brings light to an important truth that we must come to grips with. Christ broke the power of sin, so that we can break free. In order for us to live in Christ, we have to let go of what once broke us. There is no freedom in that place.
If you’re struggling with your beliefs, who are you believing and what are you believing? Perspective through the rear-view mirror is meant to protect us, not bind us.
You are no longer bound to what is behind you. God has a new and better life for you. Believe it and step into it today!
Do you believe what God’s word says about you or do you believe what you feel and see about yourself?
This week we continue in the book of Romans and talk about Bartimaeus. He was a blind beggar, who believed in the healing power of Jesus. The crowd tried to keep him quiet and didn’t believe he was worthy of calling out to Jesus. They identified him by his disparity, his lifestyle, and outward appearance. What they failed to realize was Jesus saw his heart, which led Him to ask what he wanted.
In Romans 5, we learn that we are made new, reconciled, justified, and free by the act of Jesus. Consider this in V.14, “Adam brought destruction, Christ brought salvation.” Our lives can be defined by the mistakes and negative mindsets we have about ourselves or it can be defined by God’s unfailing love for His children (that’s you!).
Like Bartimaeus, refuse to let anyone quiet the call out to God and do not be swayed to remain silent. When you have confidence that you’re His child, you will be bold and ask big and see things transform.
We continue with our latest series, “I’m Alright.”
Where are we putting our confidence? If it’s in things, people, or pursuits…these will never sustain you. The only thing that matters is what God has done.
This week we see that in Abraham’s story. He was once a pagan worshipper and sought to please a god with things and right actions.
Jesus was clear when He told Abraham leave the territory he was so accustomed to. He was telling Abraham leave your comfort zone…leave anything and everything you’ve come to rely on. Abraham believed beyond his qualifications. He decided to embrace God’s direction and let go of his own fears and insecurities.
Two points we would like to leave with you as we enter a new week: 1. You don’t have to feel right to be right with God. 2. We become righteous before God before we can ever do anything right for him.
“You don’t owe God anything because He has given everything for you.” Do you consider all that you strive for, do, or plan, in order to please God? To justify your salvation or to remove the moment you dropped the ball? Nothing you have done or will do will ever separate you from God’s love. His love is constant and permanent.
We see this as we continue in the book of Romans in our latest series, “I’m Alright!” Separate from Christ, we all live with a drive to do more to feel right about ourselves. The problem with this approach is it is never enough. God doesn’t see us through the lens we tend to. He sees past our shortcomings and calls us his sons and daughters.
Today, we encourage you to open your heart and allow God to speak into your life and receive His abundant love!
Welcome to week two of our latest series, “I’m Alright!” This weekend we invite you to open your hearts as He reveals Himself to us from His word on the topic of Turn Around!
We continue to dive into the book of Romans, a letter written by Paul. In chapter two of Romans, Paul is addressing a serious dilemma. The church body was preoccupied with passing judgment for the very things they themselves were doing!
Unfortunately, these people had a misunderstanding of God’s grace towards them. With a true understanding of His grace, it leads us to a life full of love, not sinful actions. This doesn’t mean we won’t make mistakes, but we can acknowledge the error, and out of love for Christ…we can turn around!
Zacchaeus shows us that opening your heart to God creates an opportunity for repentance. Jesus didn’t see his “job” or “sin,” He saw Zacchaeus as a son of Abraham, a child of God, and someone who was once lost. The tax collector took the words of Jesus into his heart and allowed it to change him from the inside. This is where we learn that true repentance is about transformation, not torture or torment.
Today’s message emphasizes God’s forgiveness towards us. Following Jesus is not about being perfect, it is about accepting that you have been perfectly forgiven and you can get back up!
Mark 1:15 (NIV) “The time has come, he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Allow this to nourish your heart and soul…” believe the good news!”
Welcome to our new series, “I’m Alright.” We are going to be diving into the book of Romans. At the time this letter was written, Rome was heavily influenced by Greek mythology and idol worship. Jews were being banned from Rome because they refused to partake and acknowledge Emperor Claudius as god and Gentiles and Jews were now in the church. This brought about discontent because some believed in Old Testament law, and created division between who belonged and who didn’t. At times, we can create division in our own lives…seeking answers in horoscopes or so called mystical things but deter from God’s word. He has already declared us righteous and holy and guess what? This includes the unbeliever.
As we move through this new series, we will see that God hasn’t asked us to be perfect, or to bring the finest gifts to the alter. He simply has told us to follow Him, love Him, and believe!
Paul stated in Romans 1:7, “all loved by God and called to be His holy people.” This applies today, to you! You belong.
As we conclude the series, “Mending Fences,” we learn more about God’s wisdom for our lives. From the sluggard, who had it all to the fall of mankind, we see that when we operate in our own strength and desires, our fences are compromised. In Genesis, Adam and Eve forsook God’s wisdom when they sought after their own desires and ate from the tree of knowledge. We learn that they were overwhelmed with shame and tried to hide from God. More importantly, this tells us the enemy will look for ways to convince us that what God says can be waived or altered. If you’d like peace and security within your life, seek God’s wisdom at all costs. When we prioritize other voices, people, or accolades, we are choosing to look away from the wisdom He has gifted us. Proverbs 24:5-6 reminds us that wisdom isn’t found in a place of seclusion. We are not asked to live life alone behind our fences. God wants us to strengthen one another, to build and maintain out of His wisdom and love.
What would the sluggards life look like if he said no? No to the thorns, weeds, and overcast of doubt, hurts, or troubles. This week we explore the power of “No.” It is such a short word but carries a strong meaning for many of us. You may be surprised but “no” can keep you within the confounds of God and His will for your life. He doesn’t ask us to agree with every request or task rather He reminds us that setting limits are healthy and prosperous. This doesn’t come with declining others first, in fact, we are to crucify our flesh first, to bring our own things into submission. When we don’t place discipline to our desires or faulty thinking, we are sacrificing the prize. Consider Jesus saying “no” to the enemy, as he continued to tempt him. He was not concerned with hurting his feelings, worried about his opinion rather Jesus knew what His Father wanted for Him and nothing could convince Him otherwise. God does not ask us to enslave ourselves, appease others, or erase boundaries. He wants us to learn from the sluggard and protect the life He’s given us; a life of freedom!
Do you live behind the walls of offense? It hurts when all you do is hold onto the hurt; God doesn’t want that for our lives. You are deceived if you believe withholding forgiveness benefits you. There is a blessing when we do what the word of God says, and it opens the door of opportunity for blessings and maturity.
In Romans 12, we learn that peace is our choice, to grasp, to take hold of. Are you sowing the truth or sowing the things you don’t want? When you find it difficult to forgive, take a moment to reflect on the debt Jesus paid. He knew that we could not repay yet, He laid his life down so we could be free!
We have been learning from the sluggard that there is no fruit when we choose to live by worldly standards or rules. True life, the good life is the gift of forgiveness; to give and to receive. Today, as you listen to this message open your hearts to the freedom and let go of those offenses.
We have been learning that the fences we build may need repair but more importantly, do your fences provide peace and safety? Not the worldly concepts of peace and safety but God’s peace that surpasses all understanding. The goal is to live with a confidence that is enveloped in God’s promises.
In this message we learned that Israel had a hardened heart and David sought to include God despite turning away. Like David, we can deviate from God’s Word, if we are not careful. We all have an inner life; a life that we live behind closed doors. As God’s children, what we do in our home reflects, what we believe in our heart. Therefore we must guard our home, by taking a stand for it and setting a godly standard!
Today we start a new series, “Mending Fences.”
Think about this title for one moment. Now consider this weeks sermon title “your side of the fence.” If we are honest with ourselves, how often do we look at our side of the fence? Have there been small breaks occurring? Or, have you been covering them up to postpone repair?
As we dive into this series, God teaches us that we can create personal fortresses of comfort (or discomfort) and miss the intimate details He has laid out before us. In doing so, we can opt for what we know and pass the abundant life He has promised.
The walls of Jerusalem were breached and brought to ruin not because of their lack of ability, but their rejection of God’s attempts to rectify issues in their hearts. Unfortunately, the unseen things we keep behind our fences do not prevent nor stop consequences. These consequences can reap a harvest of thorns; ruin relationships, bury vision, or deter us from God’s love.
It is similar to leaving the fence gate open. Do you close the entry gate to God and allow the enemy to step in? If you are excluding Him, you are welcoming in all of the enemy’s tactics. Recall what the enemy does - he comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Fences add beauty to a home. They signify a boundary, a welcoming, and protection. No matter how grand they are, if it doesn’t include God your Father - you are defenseless.
No matter what your side of the fence looks like, if it’s overgrown with weeds, or thorns...God is with you and will help you repair it.
We conclude our latest series, “A Place called Rest.” Rest isn’t a matter of leisurely activities or creating endless plans for the next five years. Our Good Father encourages us to embrace the peace He freely gives and allow Him to lead the way. If you’re spending time focused on the plans of your life, you can miss out on His gift. He calls us to trust in Him, in all of our ways. This requires discipline from us; what you allow in your soul matters! It goes beyond simply rehearsing, but intentionally devoting your thoughts and heart to God’s promises. The biblical stories shared in this sermon are not restricted to “just them” but they are us. Their stories of healing, great faith, and devotion are the very things within you, too! We encourage you to remind yourself daily that you are a son & daughter of God. He loves you and He has provided every good thing, for you. The rest you are and have been seeking is within reach!
As we explore the battle the Israelites took upon themselves, we see that they were placing great faith in their decision making. They focused on their own strength and doing rather than involving God into their pursuits. God is a gentleman, He will fight for you, but He will not fight you. Just as the Israelites did, we can turn to our own methods of attack, and leave God, as a last resort. What happens when we put God first in all things? God’s word tells us that “rest” isn’t a struggle or a difficult task. He freely gives it to all of us, to take hold and follow His lead into green pastures and a peace that surpasses all understanding.
No matter where you are today, or at any point in your journey, God’s rest is and will always be readily available.
In today’s message, we are diving deeper into understanding God’s promise to give us rest. We explore this through the life of Solomon, a man of great wealth and reign. Often times, as Solomon, we can start out with wanting what God wants. But, if we are not utilizing wisdom to understand God’s direction; we end up grinding for an outcome He has already provided! We have an open invitation to enter into a life of rest (without toil, struggle, busyness, etc) and allow it to work in our souls and daily lives. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me” - these words are powerful and yet, challenges us to succumb our ways. Join us as we continue in our latest series - “A Place Called Rest.”
The journey of life is one filled with unexpected twists and turns that can at times leave us burdened and weary… but it doesn’t have to be that way! In this message we learn how to remain in God’s rest while in the middle of our distress as we look to God and learn to trust in Him.
Every one wrestles with the natural tendency to live life at their own pace; we march to the beat of our own drum; we approach life as we see it fit. But it never leads us into a state of God’s promised rest. In this message we learn how to change the pace of our lives as we yoke ourselves to Christ and follow Him into His rest.
Faith in Christ is a life-long journey that we oftentimes tend to complicate by way of the “stuff” we pick up along the way. In this message we are encouraged to let go of areas of our lives that get in the way of a relationship with Christ so that we can travel light in life.
Have you ever thought about the rest of your life? If you have, chances are that you ended up thinking about what it will take to achieve it and have found yourself wrestling with the pressures associated with all you foresee having to do. In this message, we take a closer look at the rest that God has made available for us in Christ and learn practical steps to living in a state of perpetual rest.
Commitment is the pathway to the fulfillment of anything that God calls us to do. In this message we learn how to hold fast to our commitment to God’s purposes as we let go of those things that threaten to hold us back.
One of the greatest challenges to answering the call that God places on our lives is shifting from the belief in what’s impossible, to a belief in what God says is possible. In this message we learn practical steps to living with a complete trust in God so we can do what He has commissioned us to as His church.
The sacrifice of Christ is powerful in our lives because it is the means by which we enter into personal relationship with God. In this message we learn about our rightful place at the table of communion and in relationship with Christ.
The church is God’s primary tool to bring solutions to the world today, but those solutions do not happen independent of us. In this message we learn about the role that we play and the sacrifices that we must make in order to realize what God wants to accomplish through His church.
Faith is a manner of life made up of many small steps. In this message we learn how our faith defines the steps we take towards the vision that God has given us at Church at the Bridge and are encouraged to take the next step.
The local church is made up of a body of people that are called to listen, follow and act upon the leading of God. In this message, we examine the time when Jesus commanded the disciples to cross over to the other side of a lake and learn how we can press forward and attain what God has called us to as His church regardless of the storms we face.
As believers in Jesus Christ we are called and even more importantly equipped to live our lives in a different way. In this message we learn how we should live our life based on knowing that the Holy Spirit is our teacher and knowing that God is the one who opens doors.
The sacrifice of Christ is the central theme for our lives, our worship and our devotion. Therefore, it's easy to fall into the trap of "doing" for Christ and miss what He's doing in us. In this message we learn about the continual ministry of Christ at work in our lives and the power of learning to receive from Him on a daily basis. __ __ __

The resurrection of Christ is the greatest miracle to ever take place among men, but most people miss the miracle because they don’t understand the power of His resurrection for their own lives. In this message we learn about the implications of the resurrection of Christ in our lives and its power to raise us every day to a new life.
The triumphal entry of Christ into Jerusalem was a momentous occasion in His earthly ministry and for the people of Israel. But while many proclaimed Him king, they did not believe Jesus to be their king. In this message we learn to look to Christ as our King who is come into our lives, and to honor Him with them.
Relationship with Christ is powerful. It refreshes us, and brings healing and effects change in our lives. In this message, we examine the words of Jesus to the Church of Laodicea, and learn of our need to remain passionate for Christ so that we can be a source of healing and refreshment to the world around us.
As Christians we live with the mandate upon our lives to remain faithful, but that does not mean that we will not grow weary while standing. In this message we look to the words of Jesus to the church of Philadelphia and learn how to remain faithful as we press on through the “open door” that He has provided us.
The scriptures teach that we have been raised to new life, and yet a real danger persists… we can exist as if we’re living and be dead as believers. In this message we study the letter of Jesus to the church of Sardis and learn how to maintain true life in Christ so that we do not fall for the allure of things that lead to a dying of our faith and love for God.
As children of God in Christ, we cannot succumb to deception; especially when it comes from within our ranks through people that claim to speak in the Name of our Lord. In this message, we learn from the words of Jesus on the importance of resisting false prophets and look to the scriptures on how to discern deceptions that can, and do arise within the church.
Weak and ineffective faith happens one compromise at a time. In this message we look to the words of Jesus to the Church of Pergamum and learn how to withstand the lure to compromise our faith so that we can overcome. __ __ __
