Belmar Sol
The Belmar Sol record label is our musical outlet to produce and release our own music, as well as the music of others that we enjoy. Belmar Sol is also the recording trio of Larry, G and Zach, which primarily focuses on releasing sounds defined as MEDITRONICA; a new genre of music that fuses meditation music, ambient soundscapes, electronica, world grooves and down-tempo beats into a funky brew.
A collection of some of our fav 303 jams over the last few years, from predominately the I Love Acid camp and affiliated artists. Quirky, grungy, experimental and even some deep 303 lines. I found this old mix I did from 2003. This is a mix of the deeper, more ambient tracks from Jeff Mills aka Millsart - Every Dog Has His Day releases. You will find tracks from Vol. 1 - 4, which are all essential owns in my opinion. I did this for my own personal listening back in 2003 but figured since I found it I would also share it for those unfamiliar with how good these records are. The premise of the show is simple: The first part of the mix consists of 5 vinyl records that were rescued from various record bins during the month(old or new, but mostly from $1 bins and digging missions). The second part of the mix is 5 tracks we are currently feeling at the moment (old or new). We are actively recruiting guest dj's to take the challenge and get on some digs.

BSDD008 Presents NJ Artist DayzOne teaming up with Manchester UK Artist Spin Fidelity. This two track EP is just a taste from these two artists who blur the lines of old school deep house, classic techno and lush electronics. DayzOne starts us off with "Jersey Soul Patrol" which hits the classic Jersey sound right on the head, with a catchy electric piano line, infectious horn riff and swinging NJ drums that DayzOne is known to deliver. Spin Fidelity drops "Strange Feeling" as track two on this release. Spin Fidelity starts off slow and works this track into a classic deep Detroit influenced track with hints of electronic funk, clever synth work and classic XOX box drums.

Just Won't Do is a primetime house stomper that blends traditional Jersey garage pianos with classic xox box drums and some Chicago influenced jackin harmonics. This is for the primetime dancefloor crew. The Vox Dub keeps it classic with a tracky vocal flip and the No Vox dub is the full version with no vocals. As always, we give it to you both ways for the right dancefloor fit. The Jackin Beats Mix is an alternate version without the classic piano riffs and vocal chops, removing much of the Jersey influence and going all in on the Chicago influences. The last track is called Jersey Juice, which is our take on the classic sound from where we live, full on classic Zanzibar style. For the deep heads.

This was a promo mixtape I did in 2007 as a tribute to some of my Metro Area tracks. I just found a rip of it this week. Much respect to my man Morgan Geist; all time NJ super-producer. Doing that dirty disco sleaze way before it was in style.
