PeterPan. A mischievous old guy who can't fly and magically refuses to grow up.
For 3 Decades, PeterPan and his friends has been pushing the boundaries of the Underground Scene up in the north of Europe in Oslo, Norway.
Based in Oslo, Norway, Peter is a seasoned DJ with a profound love for vinyl and an unwavering passion for electronic music. Peter's musical journey began in the early 80s when he was captivated by the movie Beat Street, Peter purchased his first SL1210 turntables, marking the beginning of his vinyl journey. This marked the inception of his exploration into various genres, including hip hop, italo disco and the pulsating club music of that era.
As the sound evolved, Peter found himself deeply influenced by the emergence of Chicago house, hip house, and acid, which left an indelible mark on his musical sensibilities. Embracing his identity as a DJ he embarked on an exhilarating period of heavy-duty partying and secured a residency at Qurel, a prominent Oslo club that was at the forefront of the house music scene in the late 80s. Simultaneously, he became a staple at underground house parties, leaving an unforgettable impression on the Oslo music scene.
In the mid-80s, Peter's fascination with technology led him to experiment with techno gadgets, such as the iconic TB-303 and TR-606. Over time, favorites like the TR-808, TR-909, Juno 106, Jupiter 8, and Akai S-900 became integral components of his setup. With the advent of MIDI and his acquisition of a Mac equipped with Cubase, Peter seamlessly connected his array of gear, culminating in the release of his album

This milestone marked the birth of his own label, NeverLand Productions, and showcased his versatility under the pseudonym Peter Pan.
In 1996, Peter's journey took him to Koh Phangan, a mesmerizing island in southern Thailand. He landed a residency at the Vinyl club on Haad Riin beach, the legendary birthplace of Full Moon parties, attracting crowds of up to 10,000 partygoers each month. Additionally, he performed at numerous events throughout his stay in Thailand, including unforgettable gigs alongside Dave at the renowned Backyard club.
In 1998, Peter and his friend Øyvind Jambor embarked on an epic adventure, driving from Oslo to Ibiza in Peter's trusty car. Their determination paid off as they secured a DJ residency in a bar in Ibiza town, where they delivered dj sets throughout the season, captivating audiences with their musical selections.
Subsequently, Peter indulged in the pleasure of music production, exploring software like Cubase, Reason, StudioOne, and Ableton Live. Fuelled by his creativity, he released tracks on labels such as Small Records, Avocado Dream, Evader Records, Aquavit Beats, SoHappy Recordings and Oyhopper Records, under aliases like PeterPan303 and, more recently, Peter Greenwood.
From Oslo's underground scene to international stages, he has graced venues like: Confusion, Betong, Rockefeller, John Dee, Sentrum Scene, Uforia, Norefjell, Nebb, Borgen, Barbeint, Skansen, Exit, Hausmania, Pure, Sementfabrikken, Quart Festival, PUSH, XL, Sjokoladefabrikken, Golden Gate (Berlin), Sikamikanico, as a co founder of the Safari Festival- deep in the South Norwegian forest, Øyhopper/Footworks, Hjertøya Festival, and the Midnightsun Festival in Lakselv.
Noteworthy collaborations include legendary artists such as Sasha, John Digweed, Guy J, Nick Warren, Way Out West, Steve Parry, Inkfish, Boris Brecha, Fluke, Luv Dup, Phaxe, Morten Granau, PsySex, Flowjob, Ethnoscope, Atmos, Banel, HuxFlux and a myriad of talented Norwegian DJs.

Recorded live with the perfect small crowd dancing, using Traktor S4, Processing with Tegeler Creme and the Gainlab Empress, Rane analog crossover filter, LabGruppen amp for the TurboSounds Top/Mid, L-Acoustics subs with a Chevin amp to push the 18" elements. For monitoring we use QSC K8.

Recorded and mixed from vinyls, in the age of plastic fantastic, into my Mac Pro with Cubase back in 1999. I used Cubase kinda like my Revox Reel to Reel tape player- the difference was in the splicing, on Revox with the included tape knife and magnetic tape, on Cubase with a virtual scissor, and a mouse. Lot's of tunes from that goden era of progressive house, kinda the birth of the electronic music with vision and feelings. Lot of love in it for sure <3 I hope you enjoy it!

Trying to tame the sounds of Dr. Erik in the 90's is not an easy task for anyone. The Doctor called me, and asked if I could help him out- Turboneger wanted him to do a warmup for them on Rockefeller. I asked when, and Doctor told me that the gig is next Friday.. ok I said, come to my studio, and we'll figure it out. The Doctor came with an old MiniDisc player and lots of mini disks with more or less caotic, unfinished projects. But as we had only 4-5 days to pull this off, we stumbled around in his fairytale world, and came up with this strange piece of audio. To play it for a full Rockefeller, with 99% Turboneger fans, was a strange but fun experience. To say the least. Enjoy- or not ;)

Going back to the roots. Back in the 80’s the electronic music was soooo different, then house music came as the sunrise 🔆 But thats’s the next chapter in the fairytale.
This set is recorded during a nachspiel, some time during the summer of 1994, at Tryvann - in the Greenwoods of Oslo.. We drove a Toyota LiteAce up there, with a power generator, the baddest PA speaker system we could get our hands on, two SL1201's and a mixer.. a good group of head-on people- and voila - we had a party in the morning suns rays.. Unforgettable :) <3

Imagine a big, blue lake. The sun reflecting in the surface, glittering in your eyes. The water flows down the to the river, first calm, twirling through the forest. Then comes the rapids, the river runs faster, jumping around, until the stream hits the waterfall, rumbling down in a freefall, where the rainbow lives. Then, at the bottom of the fall, calm again- running out, into a vast ocean of love <3

Backyard, and Backyard Dave, was for many people the biggest influence in Haad Riin in the 90's. Dave ran the infamous and legendary Backyard Club, with a view to the sunrise after the full moon parties.. We will never forget dancing till dawn <3 <3 <3 Here is my set from that time, just came back from Thailand to the Norwegian summer- it's recorded the 17.th of May in 1997, with two Technics SL-210's, a Pioneer DJM500 and a DAT recorder. Remastered and re-pitched(from 146 bpm to 132 bpm) in 2019. iCAN'T BELIVE IT'S 22 YEARS AGO!

For the NERDs: Made in Cubase, with Akai S900, S612, Technics SL1210, Roland TR909, TR808, TR606, TB303, SH-09, Juno106, SoundCanvas, Oberheim Matrix 12, Some Compressors and Outboard FX, and a couple of Soundcraft mixers. The earliest tracks is made with a Macintosh Color Classic, the rest with less antique computers. (For now stone age) No plugins, as 4mb RAM, 20mb HDD and a PCU of 33mhz, did not support this.
Released a couple of hundred CD's , in 1998, on my own label: NeverLand Productions.

A tale of new & old feelings.. Nina's beskrivelse: Først havner man inn i et eventyr, før det er gått 2 min, (du er en eksepsjonell historie forteller), så varierer det fra "normalt", til noe så vakkert at jeg må gjemme meg under pels-pleddet 😂❤ Så kommer 1.25 ca. Da tråkker vi inn i en galskap, og plutselig er jeg tilbake hos Gry og Stian, jeg er på Bekkelaget, jeg kjører karusell på Youngstorget, å jeg er i sofa/senga din, hjemme hos mamma (alt på engang 😂) så toner det seg ut, og vi kommer frem til 2000 (1.48 ish) da blir man så glad, att selv en bipolar på nedtur hadde blitt frisk.
Recorded with Traktor, with the step sequencer, and Ableton Live, running synced in Link. Lots of shakers, light percussion and some bass riffs flying over the dynamic mix.
This track makes me remember how good the beginning of the 90' was. An oasis of new music, like a wave of happiness coming our way :)
Mixed back in 87' with two Technics 1210's, a GLI 9000 mixer, a Revox B77 mk2 Reel to Reel analog tape player and a Akai S-900 sampler. We actually cut and spliced the 1/4" tape to edit the mix :) No computers involved.. This IS the roots of modern electronic music and dj mixing, at least for me :)
