The March Madness brackets continue into July…now August. Steve goes on a rant about respecting fandom. The Goliverse bids farewell to one of its own. Steve looks for cartoon intro covers. Because the chat got him to. It’s a bittersweet bundle of mediocrity. It’s your safe place to geek out.
Steve opens the show waiting to join another show, only to discover that other show isn’t happening. It is Steve’s fault…he’s neither a good listener nor a good reader. He may need to walk the reading rainbow. From that confession we enter back into the March(ish) Madness(ish) Bracket(ish). Titanic v. Halloween, Braveheart v. Inception, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly v. Forrest Gump, and The Godfather tries to make Rocky an offer he can’t refuse. Spoiler Alert…Steve refused. Have fun with episode of GEEK OUT LOUD!
We’ll celebrate episode 300 later. For now we continue the quest to find the greatest movie score to date. On this episode to help us do that is David Fischer. David has been very active in the chat in these discussions, so with his knowledge of movie it made sense to call him up and bring him in. He did not disappoint. Together with the mixlr chat, he and Steve finish out round one of the comedy/other division. After that Steve talks a little Ghostbusters and offends Italians everywhere while doing a Big Honkin Show style story about a an escaped lion. So much more to happen with the brackets, and it will be happening soon! For now, enjoy this episode of your safe place to geek out.

Steve and Lucas (Birthday Twins) sit down to celebrate their birthday by hanging with the GOLiverse and talking all things geeky. Topics range from toy collecting (an unopened figure is actually opened on air…GASP!!!!), Elvis (That’s right…Elvis), the difference between actresses (right at the beginning), all the way to Godzilla Minus One (Minus Color). It’s a fun time just hanging out and shooting the breeze about whatever comes to mind…a classic GOL if you will. ON THE MARCH TO 300!!!!

Geek Out Loud isn’t the first to talk about it. Geek Out Loud is not the best to talk about it, but Geek Out Loud is talking Mandalorian Season 3 on this episode. What makes it so special is Shazbazzar and Scott Ryfun stopping in to have a completely never derailed discussion about the season that gave us cameos, glowing ice cream, and baby yoda doing his best Krang impersonation.
The final rounds of the television theme brackets are featured in this episode. Steve powers through heartbreak and joy to bring this year’s winner of the greatest television theme song of all time. It’s a roller coaster ride. Before that, Steve talks about attending Toylanta as well as a little bit about the current season of The Mandalorian. In this episode you will hear Steve address the live chat often and you will see the live chat break the heart of Steve Glosson as he fights back for what is good and right. This was a knock down drag out, but did the best theme really win? You decide.
In a case of good ideas gone completely wrong and out of control Steve called on the GOLiverse faithful, and put together a bracket of 64 of the greatest TV themes of all time from across the spectrum of television history. Armed with very few rules and a live chat Steve begins the show which ends three hours later having only made it through round one! It’s fun, it’s nostalgic, and the word iconic gets overused. It’s the Geek Out Loud podcast!
Steve welcomes Dave Jones to the recording “studio.” The guys start to talk about the Ant Man and Wasp trailer and go down a rabbit hole that leads to tangent after tangent after tangent. Because Steve has Dave in the room he can’t help but bring up the Snyder-verse. This leads to some chat responses and Steve’s responses to the chat. Then Andor gets mentioned. Use a microphone correctly. All this on a hard train of thought to follow Geek Out Loud!
The title of this episode was going to be Steve and Shaz and Michael and Scott and David and Cam and Justin and Jacob and the Zoo Crew. That seemed a little too long though. Steve is joined by all of the above names and even tried to get a few others on. There might not have been a lot of geeking out, but there was a great hat story, parts of parody song, an evil turkey named Kevin, and a lot of laughs. Merry Christmas from Geek Out Loud!!!
