Fishing fly I used was a variant of the Producer pattern popular for trout on Oklahoma's Blue River! In this case, I went with an Olive Producer instead of the Original's white color. Inline Spinners work well in heavily pressured ponds. Downsize them to 1/16oz and lighter and you will be surprised the number of strikes you get. TRWD Flyfest is a fly fishing event hosted by the Tarrant Regional Water District on the banks of the Trinity River near the Acme Brick Company headquarters. This round we talk more Bait Finesse Systems Fishing but focused more on what we have observed while using this technique in 2024.
So far, three limits of trout were caught fishing with BFS Gear. And, I restocked my lure making supplies as I was running short on inline spinner components.
I also made a simple blade lure from sheet brass and a single split shot. Prior to the Podcast, I caught two Bass with it and lost a third one that threw the hook.

Closed out the year with a final trip to Waterloo Pond in Denison, TX. Plan was to see if the trout would take a Squirmy Tail Nymph and to capture underwater action with the Water Wolf Camera.
As it turned out, the Trout wanted Dry Flies. Additionally, Trout were wanting PowerBait but needed to make sure the bait stayed above the bottom greenery plus add movement to the presentation.
Did manage two Trout that went for a Crackleback!
