bits of a live set from Earko at custard factory Birmingham 2001, the first track was a demo for a label that unfortunately didn't get going, I've made the wav dj friendly ish, the cutting between stuff at the time was done in any way possible, exact timing for djs was not even thought of, bass drums will be rushing or slack but the starts and ends of the 2 songs should be ok, fruity loops, wavelab and ableton, tower pc on stage and crt monitor I got the idea from D'Arcangelo using a 486!! da fuq! ... 2001 ITA yolo kru
My personal version for mixing at my gigs, has a mix intro and is a little less low end heavy because I need it for specific reasons in this state, there is a 2nd 303 in the background that I have low here because of hardware playing the lead live at gigs, the full version will be available on the Kobra Akai EP called Acid Chops 01 (Strike First) n01 in a series of 03 planned so far. Digital will be free for the first month of release as part of a new direction for the label, physical releases Vinyl 12", Cassette mixtape of the 3 EPs and CD mix, digital and vinyl will be the only releases not mixed. Mix from long time ago at a valentines day party, I had only 64kps version but finally found a good 320kbps today, shame I cannot find a Wav, but I am uploading so I don't lose it again. It is on CD I gave away a few months later for promos, if you have a copy, upload it please as wav and send me link, I give you 20 euro.
This version exists for my gigs n mixes, I decided I upload everything even if not "mint crisp" or for general use, I'd use for a gig so maybe others might like it too, better than uploading it 20 years from now, this version exists, I tried on big LAcoustics rig, sounds great, all yours, click download.
Song was in response to my attitude, a few years earlier a good friend passed away (I learned on the radio).. another person made fun of the incident, saying he deserved it, I reacted violently, but I started to regret fighting for the sake of fighting, I tried to learn to keep anger under control, this song was prob my first conscious/deliberate attempt at letting anger/emotions out through music. I am still on this journey, still learning.
made around early jan 2000 at my mates yard (maybe 1999 on his birthday in december, using his new 700/800mhz pc or close to that, Pentium 3?fruityloops played live into some other program using mutes, possibly wavelab or cooledit. might even be 1998-1999 now I think about it a bit more.

Made for a demo I gave out at Bloc festival 2006 beats by the Wopskank, vox by Brown "Chucky" Bear We going for some Bmovie vibez, influenced by Killa 7" from Razor X records... sleep with the big gun under the pillow... ratatata.. my fav lyric is "I'm a stick a black n decker in ya nuts" loved making this. Birmingham kru all the way.

Live test b4 gig, added some reaktor stuff on the night, diff levels etc, 2017 Leipzig, was great on the night, missed some breaks from break ensemble in Folie very squiggly filter action, Flowers is solid as released probably..., I loved the impact of the sound on sound-system on the night, good stuff Thanks to ExLEpäng, Katharsis, Tom for hosting, nice evening, cool peeps! Violent flowers is available through the mega-awesome Combat recording, Folie is unreleased.
Recovered live set, pt1, cd rot near start and in a few other places, but mostly ok the screaming phased sound in last track is from a skinny puppy sample CD Thanks to Steve and Rob for being wiked hosts (Cog-hyg) If you have this CD that still survives, let me know :) peace out
vcv patch link is in video description, check vid of this track playing out live.. I'd take this and then some other takes (versions), then prob splice them together and call that a finished song :) use VCV its the best :)

Made with 2 vcv patches, Controlled from Ableton cc and mutes with notes. The top mute on the right - controls the intro an outro pattern loop, when this is off the patterns step to different beats etc.. like a fugue, but not backwards, check next patch for that kinda stuff... ...track has lots of sub, listen in good room or headphones..

There is extra slow remix patch not recorded yet :) ....turn that bass drum down too, it was a nightmare to eq out of 1 master track.

I could have added so many more things but my head was exploding with the live automation, gotta sleep for a while after this, captured by a Panasonic Ramsa mixing desk into 2 channel audio, one take, plenty of rehearsal and a dash of spontaneous magic.
