All of us experience times in our lives when we descend into darkness. Sometimes it is because of loss or other tragic events. Sometimes we can be spontaneously overcome by depression without apparent reason. I refer to these experiences as descent into the Pit. Jesus experienced the Pit, literally and figuratively in the days before his death. In this episode I talk about how his experience validates our own, tells us that we are not alone, and offers us hope in the resurrection that he experienced.
