I know I haven’t updated this page in a long time. I always have it in the back of my mind to do something about it, but then never actually get around to doing it. There are many reasons to why, and instead of coming up with a lot of boring excuses, I’ll just say that life is busy, and I mainly work radio during the summer when 6m season peaks.
I have taken up several other hobbies besides hamradio. I have been a licenced radio amateur for nearly 30 years, and motivation will go up and down, which is perfectly normal in my eyes.
Programming software has taken up more and more of my time the last few years. I have been contributing heavily to a hamradio logging software called Cloudlog. Early this year, we forked Cloudlog and made Wavelog. You can check it out at wavelog.org.
Another hobby that is also taking up a lot time, specially during the summer, is flying fpv (first person view) drones. It’s the closest you can come to fly yourself, or to fly like a bird. I am a member of a local drone club, and we met up every once in a while to fly and have fun. This has led to yet another hobby, which is 3d printing. When building drones, it’s nice to have a printer to make some parts for your frames.
I will try to update more on this page. The logsearch is updated, and my logs are always updated on LoTW (now that it is finally back, after many weeks of downtime).
I’ve uploaded the contest log to CQWW. The logsearch page here is updated, and the log was also updated on Club Log.
Since the contest deadline has passed, I’ve uploaded the log from my 2022 trip to LoTW today.
This page has been seriously neglected for several years. I would like to do something about that, but as I’m not really working too much radio, I would need to write about some other stuff that I’m doing as well. I’ve been doing a lot of programming, and I’ve been contributing to open source software. I’ll write more about that in another post.
Here is a short summary from 2021, so that I’m up to date with that before 2022 is over.

Only 1 new iota was worked this year with RI0Q in AS-152 on 30M CW on March 22nd 2021.
I just noticed today that the page was down. My host updated to PHP8 a few days ago, and it turns out, that some of the stuff I use here, is not compatible with PHP8. I managed to get the page working again by deactivating a few plugins, updating another plugin, and updating the theme. […]
I’ve added a few new pages here. They contain a list of distance records on different bands on different propagation modes. They are far from complete, but hopefully I’ll add some more info when people contribute with information. Thanks to LA0BY for giving me a push to get these lists online. LA distance records JW […]
As promised, here is the summary from last year: I worked 6 new countries on 6m last year. I did hear YB, 4S7 and VR2, but I never managed to work them. We also had several amazing openings to the far east. I didn’t work all the openings, but I did have the radio on […]
Here we are again. Yet another year has passed. I’ve not written a single post. It’s sad that I never got around to it. Radio activity is very low, as it has been for several years. I’m mostly active during the summer when 6m is open. Last year was no exception, and I managed to […]
Happy new DX year everyone. Better late than never they say. I haven’t given up on this site, but life is quite busy, and I rarely find time to sit down and do any stuff here. Radio is likewise. I barely worked any radio last year. I’ll be back with a report from last year.
This was a confirmation I did not see coming. As I have only worked 3 contacts with stations from Minami Torishima, I thought I had to work another station from there to get it on LoTW. To my surprise, I got both my contacts with JG8NQJ/JD1 confirmed on LoTW. That means yet another DXCC confirmed […]
A while back, I got VP6D Ducie Island on LoTW. This was #335 on LoTW, which means that I now have #331 current entities confirmed on LoTW. With that last confirmation, I now qualify for honor roll with confirmations only on LoTW. I have not applied for the diploma, but it is just a matter […]
Happy new DX year everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Life is busy, but I have managed a few contacts during the year. Below is a short summary of the new stuff I worked. On August 19th, I worked RT65KA on 20M CW from iota AS-065 for a new iota. ZS9V was worked […]
On July 21st, I worked Z68M and Z66X on 6M FT8. A few minutes later, I worked Z68M on 6M SSB. I knew that Z6 would be pretty easy from here once they were allowed on 6M. This was in the morning, later the band opened to North-America. I worked one station from USA. The […]
After working two new ones on 6M, I didn’t really have my hopes very high for this season. New countries are difficult to come by, but suddenly they show up. So here is another dx report from me. On July 3rd, I managed to get KH1/KH7Z on 20M CW. I didn’t really think I would […]
