What’s up! My name is Derrick and I’m a missionary. In college I realized I didn’t have to go overseas to do mission work so I moved from South Louisiana to the Mississippi Delta a.k.a. the poorest region in the U.S.A. There I found my wife Mary and we just gave birth to our little girl Isabella. We have met many people along our journey and would like to share their stories. We present to you “Modern day missionary stories from the Magnolia State.”
Today on the show we welcome my good friend Josh Reagan. Josh is the youth pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, MS and has been doing Gods work in the Delta area for the past few years.
Today on the show we welcome Mrs. Veronica Lopez! Veronica has been using her Hispanic heritage and faith to help ignite a fire for Christ in our state. She has worked for the Diocese of Jackson as the director of Hispanic Young Adults and is always reaching out in the community to create a culture of diversity and community.
Today on the show we welcome Father Aaron Williams the assistant Pastor at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville and also the Chaplain at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Greenville. He shares with us about his life serving the students in Greenville, his new passion for sports, and his connection with the Kansas City Chiefs!
