This organization was created as a result of the severe water crisis that began in Flint, Michigan in 2014. Michelle Mabson and her team mobilized in an effort to help alleviate the environmental and social injustice that happened to the community of Flint. Through their work, they have been able to assist other communities in the United States that either have faced or are facing similar issues that Flint has gone through. In this conversation it becomes apparent that environmental issues are social justice issues, it is all connected. Ashtanga yoga is an ancient system of yoga recorded by Vamana Rishi in the Yoga Korunta. Shri. K. Pattabhi Jois was taught this method by Tirumalai Krishnamacharya in 1927. This practice promotes the purification of a person's overall wellness, allowing a person's true nature to shine through.
Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India and the oldest system of healthcare in the world. This modality promotes both preventative and curative medicine that has been practiced for over 5,000 years!
