"The Other Side" is a weekly show about people and businesses who are adapting, innovating and sometimes just surviving during this time of disruption and social distancing. We seek to learn more about what's happening on the other side of our quarantine walls, and to contemplate what waits for us on the other side of this global pandemic. "The Other Side" is hosted by Matt Sullivan and is a project of Short Order Production House in Wilmington, Delaware.
In 2003, Victor Cushman helped write the pandemic playbook for SARS-CoV-1. Now, he's looking for ways to use that experience in a world that seems both eerily familiar and entirely different from anything he's seen before. He's founded the nonprofit Scan Delaware Health to educate and advocate in this time of COVID-19, and he thinks he knows the right path to the New Normal ... and it involves a LOT of testing.

That quote from essayist and activist James Baldwin resonates throughout this episode, as we hear about the Delaware Historical Society's effort to document our day-to-day lives during this time of unease and unrest in "The COVID Chronicles" ... and perhaps learn something from pandemics past in the process.
