In conversation this week on the Insuring our Future Podcast is Abimbola Onakomaiya. She graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. The following year she received a Master’s degree in Management and Technology from the University of Wales and began her Insurance career at Hill Samuel Life and Associates. She is a specialist risks underwriter in oil, energy and marine insurances for governments and multinationals, and became a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London in 1991. Mrs. Onakomaiya is the Managing Director of PeakThrust Insurance Brokers, a life, pensions, oil, energy and general services firm. In May, 2020 she was appointed Vice President of the Professional Insurance Ladies Association. See link’s below for more information.
