Faith: it's a tricky thing. It doesn't seem to be logical, and often doesn't make any sense. For many of us, the doubts we face often stem from the largest one: is any of this real at all? In episode six, Kaylin, Kandace, and Kaleb unpack doubting God's existence, the temptation to stick God in a box, and why staying grounded in our faith often means letting go of everything we thought we knew.
What is calling? Is it just a career? Is it something more? What happens when our calling just...doesn't happen? In Episode Five, the crew tackles this idea of calling, explores the ways in which we've misunderstood it, and seek to foster a better understanding of what following God's calling looks like.
If you're human, you'll find yourself hurt at some point in your life. What do we do when those hurts come at the hands of those whom we thought we could trust? How do we trust the God who calls us to be intimate with others and also with him in the midst of pain and shattered trust? Kandace, Kaleb, and Kaylin discuss these difficult ideas, as well as work toward healing and restoration amidst hurt and pain.
Church. We love it. But it's not always easy. What do you do when you begin to feel a tension between your faith and your church? What happens if you see a disconnect between scripture and the actions of the church? In this episode, Kaleb, Kaylin, and Kandace discuss these issues, and seek to find ways to remain active in a church community, while acknowledging the tension that comes with it.
Our stories matter. Your story matters. In this episode, Kandace, Kaylin, and Kaleb share their stories with faith and the church, seeking to create an open conversation around where we've been, and where we're going.
Hosts Kaylin Lauscher, Kaleb Mullins, and Kandace Troxell introduce the Harbingers Collective Podcast, a new podcast that seeks to embody the spirit of honest conversation around issues of faith and growth.
