Yivvits and MrBubble have definitely been waiting for the trailer a LONG TIME, and the idea of recording just a quick podcast to get their opinions out there was a great idea! Listen to the boys talk about how the trailer affected them, in a podcast that will take you all the way back to 1977!
Oh my goodness, can this be possible? I guess it is! This is a brand new, fresh podcast of Yivvits and MrBubble, where we catch up with the boys as they discuss Sony, Star Wars Galaxies, the new Rebels cartoon, and the future of the emulator "Swgemu." It's been a while but we are finally back in the swing of things! Much like a moisture vaporator that never quite performed as well as Owen Lars expected, it won't be long before the SWG power generators are shut down one last time. On the plus side, your pals Yivvits and MrBubble are still here! In this episode, first we fill you in on why this episode took so long. Then, we talk to an old in-game friend and yammer some more about SWG closing. Next, because you, our listeners, haven't been sending us enough questions/comments, we spend way too long talking about radial arm saws. (When have we ever stayed on topic?) Finally, another old friend of the podcast calls in to chat about the closing of SWG, none other than Jason "Pex" Ryan! Enjoy!

After an extremely crazy start to summer Yivvits and MrBubble are back! As we mentioned in episode 140, each show will now be "disclaimed" by one of listeners reading the SWG Pledge. This week it's Jackson - thanks Jackson! Next, we begin to plan for the return of our in-game parties in 2012. Unfortunately, our plans hit one impassable roadblock. MrBubble talks about his recent stroke and fills us in on his progress (he's doing great!). He's also had some time to try out another MMORPG and even check out the SWG EMU. All this and much more in Episode 141!
Many of you have been worried what the closure of SWG means for the YaMB podcast. It doesn’t mean anything. Perhaps you didn’t notice it, but about a year ago we stopped introducing our show as “SWG with” but we still talked about SWG a fair amount. We’ve got no reason to stop our show as long as you all enjoy it. Over the next few months you can bet there’s going to be a LOT of SWG talk and after that we’ll find other fun stuff to talk about. SOE and Lucas Arts might be killing the most unique MMORPG experience ever created, but we aren’t going anywhere.
Hi again everybody! You’ll be happy to hear that MrBubble came home this past Friday! He’s really happy to finally be home and has thoroughly enjoyed all of your messages. It will still take time and some therapy to fully regain the use of his right leg/arm but his progress is really amazing. Motions he couldn’t make after the stroke are now coming back. He’s able to get around the house and up/down stairs. Pretty soon he’ll start re-learning Basic Dance although he suspects there will be a lot of /flo 7’s at first.

Hello friends! MrBubble has been listening to all of the voice mail messages you’ve been sending (and the forum posts) and is really enjoying them! If you haven’t done so already, send him a voice mail! Thank you so much for being supportive – it means a lot!
Here’s a little update: The stroke didn’t paralyze him, cause any lasting speech problems, nor did it affect his cognitive abilities. It certainly didn’t affect his sense of humor. I visited him on Tuesday and when I walked into his room he slowly looked up at me and in a pitiful voice said, “Who are you?” It took me a few seconds to realize he was kidding (lol). Movement of his right arm/hand and leg/foot was affected but the rehabilitation (at the Mayo hospital) is helping to bring that back. Yesterday he worked quite a bit on walking. It will take time for him to get to 100% but so far his progress is great! I’ll update you again in a day or two.

About a week ago my best buddy John (you know him as MrBubble on our podcast) suffered a stroke. He’s currently going through some rehabilitation and your words of encouragement would mean a great deal to him. Also, Dotanuki spent some time explaining Death Troopers in greater detail. If you're still not exactly sure what Death Troopers will mean for SWG then listening to this panel is a must. The gathering also included some trivia, 'Happy 6th Birthday SWG!' cake, and a Wookiee roar contest.

This was the podcasting discussion panel which MrBubble and I participated in. The audience was mostly made up of EQ/EQ2 players as there happened to be a SWG TCG panel at the same time. I think Brenlo "I'm Alan" Crosby scheduled it that way as payback for all the sound clips of him we've played on our show. Ah, of course I'm only kidding! I'm Alan! /grin. Special thanks to SOE for letting us participate in the panel again this year. It is always a really fun discussion! Also, thanks to Eldarwen and DrQuest for asking us some great questions. What an exciting week! Fan Faire 2009, Empire Day in SWG, another TCG expansion with even more "exciting" loot, and now this - a new episode of SWGwYaMB! In this episode we talk about our Fan Faire plans, hash out a couple of ideas for SWG, and once again remind everybody why we feel the way in which the free character transfers were done actually hurt rather than helped the community. We also have some more voice mail from listeners weighting in on our continuing debate: Hide or display your toys when dating? We finish up the show by opening up a gift one of our listeners sent us.
It's the eve before recording Episode 114, and MrBubble can't sleep! If Larry can't sleep, no one can sleep! MrBubble calls Yivvits and they talk about the feedback for Episode 113 and what Episode 114 may contain. MrBubble also tries to have another conversation with Lola, but yet again blows it.
We have so many exciting things to discuss in this episode! In fact, we got so excited that we read the wrong date during the intro. Thankfully, we were able to hire an affordable voice over actor to fix the problem. I think he's a pretty close match for MrBubble so you won't even notice it! We start out this episode with some discussion about SOE's most recent release, Free Realms. Like we always do, we work Star Wars into even this topic. Incredible! We also discuss the recently announce shutdown of The Matrix Online and Yivvits has an idea for keeping even "closed" MMO's alive (in a sort of blue glowy sense). MrBubble talks about his most recent business venture on the outskirts of Mos Eisley and some plans he has for Fan Faire.

Since our last episode we've officially made the move to our new home galaxy, Shadowfire, and to our amazement we didn't end up getting transferred to The Matrix Online or Minesweeper. Also this week: the Ewok Festival of Love, wandering slice hounds, a hard core PvP/instance runner finds his true calling, and MrBubble explains how we could get gardening using already in-game stuff. Well hello there friends! We thought it was time for a little YaMB update so here it is.
While we'll never forget that SOE/LA did not give players a real choice in the matter of transferring, there's not much else to say or do about it. To that end, we've both completed our transfers to the Shadowfire galaxy and have started to rebuild the city of Yamborra - this time on... Dantooine. We're on Dantooine! So far we've been enjoying our new home and we hope to see all of our friends there! Thank you for all the great times Valcyn, and thank you Shadowfire for giving us such a warm welcome.
We STILL have a really great holiday show in the works although we'll probably put a little different spin on it seeing as it's been a month since the holiday season. Not to worry though, we're still here and even more important... in the words of our pal Cliegg Lars, we have a LOT to talk about! So stay tuned!

On tonight's show Yivvits is deeply engrossed in a brand-new whodunit, called "The Wampa Mystery," and is, understandably, a nail-biting wreck. Making matters worse, MrBubble's amateur attempts at fortune telling point to his ultimate "murder." The icing on the cake is a misunderstood conversation between Swiftwind and his agent, Tutone. Swiftwind decides to pour a sedative for Yivvits so that he can relax, but he thinks it's poison. With what he believes is his last burst of energy, he hastens to Mos Eisley to confront Swiftwind with his bowcaster.
No no no, that's for another day, but since it's only been a week since last time we had to come up with SOMETHING. Actually, this is a fun episode! We get a voicemail which stirs the free CTS pot again, talk about what's going on in life, and introduce a soon-to-be-classic new feature: "TRE File Treasures with Yivvits," where Yivvits digs DEEEEEEEEEEEP into the TRE files to reveal unexpected treats!

We're back! After a much needed break, your pals Yivvits and MrBubble are back in action. Neither of us have been playing much SWG during the past month and in this episode we'll discuss why that is. Also, this episode is dedicated to all of our friends on "suspected" low population galaxies such as our own, Valcyn.
It wasn't but a few years ago that two friends had a vision. Their goals were lofty. People said it couldn't be done. Against all odds they achieved unthinkable wealth and the respect of thousands. But enough about Hall and Oates, this is the 100th episode of Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble!
When we started the show in 2005 we had no idea where it would lead or if we'd even make more than six episodes. This episode is packed full of everything you love about our show. Who is the Grand Admin and what the heck is "The SWIG?" Join Yivvits and MrBubble as they find out just how important their show is... to everybody! Two very special guests join us for this milestone episode, we play the dozens of congratulatory messages you left us, and we round things out with cake!

This episode starts out with a continuation of our AFK play discussion. To Yivvits' surprise, MrBubble has redefined his stance on decay. Wonders never cease! We wrap things up with voice mail and a dialogue about what we believe to be SWG's biggest enemy right now. Believe it or not, we don't think it is a lack of content or empty servers.
Oh dear, oh dear... Apparently, Yivvits forgot to take his anti-rant medication and wouldn't you know it, the subjects of AFK play and decay pop up. MrBubble defuses the situation and we end up having a interesting discussion on those subjects. Some new entertainer stuff is coming in Game Update 2 and this has MrBubble waving ribbons like crazy! Of course our usual pals are with us in the studio, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, and we have a plethora of topics to discuss. Just a typical episode of SWGwYaMB!
The highly anticipated pageant is over and Elishen the Rebel Twi'lek was crowned Miss Valcyn 2008! Congratulations Elishen! Sadly, the pageant sponsors wouldn't let MrBubble participate (thank you to Kuat Yards for voting no!). Ever since SOE announced their plans to add voice chat to their games, MrBubble has been just a little worried about how all those lovely "female" entertainers he hangs around are going to sound. Thankfully, a honest to goodness female player left us a voicemail message; it made MrBubble feel a little better. Not a lot of game news this week, but somehow we managed to fill one and a half hours with SWG and SW goodness. It's a gift, and a curse.
MrBubble has had his first taste of gunboat combat, and MrBubble likes! Find out he likes about the latest addition to the game. Our in-game Super Bowl party was a big success and this week we'll give you all the details about the big screen TV, the Bothan baked beans, and the specially equipped restroom for Ithorians (don't ask). Didn't get to SOE's Fan Faire 2007 in Las Vegas? No worries because we did and we're happy to tell you all about it! MrBubble didn't arrive until late Saturday but Yivvits was there from the first party to the final buffet. This was the very first time Star Wars Galaxies was officially included in the festivities at Fan Faire and already we can't wait for next year!
On the final night of the event we sat down and chatted with some of the folks who work on our favorite game: John Blakely, Chris Cao, Jesse "Loche" Benjamin, and Jason "Pex" Ryan. Finally, we round out the show with a couple of Star Wars Mad Libs.

This episode was recorded during the week of the 4th of July holiday and how better to celebrate than to cook up some brats and enjoy the company of friends and family. Governor Tarkin and Princess Leia put aside their differences for one day and joined us in the studio. How civil of them! Happy Birthday Star Wars! Why, it seems like only yesterday you were nothing more than a little twinkle in Baron Papanoida's eye. In this episode we reflect on our earliest Star Wars memories and experiences. After the trip down memory lane we listen to some great messages from you, our devoted listeners. Chapter 6 is finally live in SWG and that has a certain Count very excited. The feeling is mutual, as we are also very happy with where Chapter 6 is taking the game. Finally, Yivvits speaks his final peace on one of his biggest problems with SWG.

We were recently thrilled to have our first in-studio guests! He is perhaps the busiest shipwright on Valcyn, XO of the 77th "Phoenix" Fighter/Bomber Wing, and a General in the mighty Rebel Alliance. He's Canaryville!
Canary and his wife made the long trip from Mos Pax on Tatooine to our studio on Talus and we can't thank them enough. We find out what drives Canary's passion for SWG, what he'd like to see happen in the game, and what some of his favorite Star Wars moments are. We're just happy Mrs. Canaryville put up with three really big dorks during the visit.
Also in this episode, Yivvits and MrBubble are starting to see a possible light at the end of the SWG dark tunnel. We take a moment to go over some of the more exciting things happening with the upcoming Chapter 6 publish including Count Dookey's favorite, BM, and Storyteller.

Every couple of months we like to have a nice purifying cleansing by asking ourselves, "Where is this bus going." Episode 75 is that cleansing. The episode started out normal enough (from a certain point a view). MrBubble, being the joker he is, has played another prank on Yivvits and also has a story that gives us hope for the next generation of Star Wars fans. What sort of fun things does Yivvits have to talk about? He complains about Windows Vista. Finally, we have a candid discussion about the hope (or lack thereof) we have for Star Wars Galaxies, and ask ourselves: "When is enough, enough?"
Yet again, not a lot to discuss about Star Wars Galaxies this week (we recorded before Thunderheart announced his resignation) but never to fear - Yivvits and MrBubble always deliver. Even better, our pointless ramblings almost always tie into Star Wars or SWG.

Some weeks we have lots to talk about, others not so much. This is one of those "light" weeks yet somehow we churned out a 50 minute show. Amazing, isn't it? We have a very, very special guest in the studio this week; you won't want to miss our eye-opening conversation. MrBubble brings back one of our old (and favorite) bits, The Mystery Brown Paper Bag. What nasty drink or snack is he trying to serve Yivvits this time?
Even when there isn't a lot of SWG news you can be sure we'll keep you entertained. At the very least we'll entertain ourselves!

Here it is! The first full length episode of 2007! We grabbed all 68 of our previous shows and dumped them into our new podcast reverse engineering tool. Just a few quick clicks and the tool spit out the best (worst?) bits of quality from each show. Finally, we applied those bits to this episode. It's all very complicated, but episode 69 sports some nice stats: +40 Geekyness, +15 Hair Product Control, and +22 Rantyness.
Enough chatter; you're probably wondering what's in this episode. MrBubble wonders how our in-game characters affect us in real life, and vice versa. Creating our Holiday Extravaganza totally drained us of energy. Yet, somehow we put together this "mini-episode" of the show! We take this opportunity to do a little housekeeping. Most large companies have some sort of holiday gathering and we assumed SOE is no different. Our assumptions were confirmed when we obtained a super top-secret recording from the event. Smed and Helios exchanged "Secret Santa" gifts; need we say more?
We sum up our personal feelings about SWG for 2006 and discuss what we'd like to see happen with the game in the coming year. Finally, we exchange gifts and are humored (or possibly horrified) that we both got each other... Nah, you'll just have to listen to find out!

Like the apprehensive deer who has been spooked away many times before, we cautiously approach the new ideas and find ourselves rather excited about them!
This week MrBubble reveals that he savors the sweet and spicy taste of ribs. Yivvits is horrified when he finds out just what kind of ribs MrBubble is talking about. Did we meet our new pledge goals from last week? Well... one of us didn't, but the other more than made up for it. For those of you who didn't like Pledge, you'll be happy to know that she's back again this week! We round things out with voice mails, answering some questions from listeners, and more readings from the books of Yivviticus and Bubbleations.

We give you a little insight into what our show is really about and what sets it apart from others. After the image management session we talk to a YaMB listener who recently left SWG. Not only do we find out why he left, but also why he'd come back (if he had a PC that is). We briefly go over the current publish notes for Chapter 3 on Test Center which prompts MrBubble to wonder if there'll ever be a change that pleases Yivvits. We finish things up with a quick preview of what we're planning for next week's show.

Thankfully, come Saturday he was feeling better so we whipped up this little gem of an episode for you. After months and months and months and months.... and months, the Rebel deep space station, Freedom, can finally be destroyed! MrBubble is happy as a clam about this fix, and why not! This week it is MrBubble's turn to put Yivvits to sleep... err... talk about the piloting side of Star Wars Galaxies. We are back! Well, almost. Building our new recording studio has been a fairly large project which took a little longer than expect. But, we are committed to the show and are eager to get back in the swing of things. Neither wet paint nor paint fumes will stop us! With the passing of Phil Brown, who played the role of Uncle Owen, we kick off episode 30 with a tribute of sorts to everyone's favorite cranky old uncle. In addition to the usual repartee, we talk to a certain pop-culture doctor, discuss the recently posted publish roadmap, continue with our listener trivia challenge, and finish (again) with some SWG entertainer music. Episode 30 is jam-packed with nutritious vitamins and minerals; everything a SWG fan needs! (everything other than pizza of course)

This week, Yivvits and MrBubble have a lot to talk about, which is not unusual as most of our listeners know. But, if you thought last week's episode was jammed pack... well... you'll be extra pleased with episode 29! As always, there's plenty of Star Wars and Star Wars Galaxies discussion / debating / ranting. We take a couple more calls from listeners and test their knowledge of the original trilogy with some trivia. Our movie of the week is "Attack of the Clones" and we have two script readings that we think you'll enjoy. As for the Bagel Bites... well, you'll just have to listen. I don't think I could explain it if I tried. We round out the show with some music that any SWG fan will recognize.
We are back from our one week break and thought it was time to take a few calls from listeners. Find out what some other fellow players think about what's been going on in SWG. This week's featured film is "Episode I - The Phantom Menace" and we perform not one, but two "pivotal" scenes from the film! Amazing! We give you a quick update on the status of publish 27 and there is plenty of the usual banter... perhaps more than usual - this is our longest episode yet, clocking in at around 90 action packed minutes! But wait, that's not all! We have a special tribute to a certain Sullustan pilot (cough MrBubble).
Episode 8 of the podcast was the first time a certain doctor joined us (the first time Yivvits wasn't impersonating him at least) and we vowed to stop using episode numbers - hey, it seemed like a nice idea at the time! This episode was the first we recorded in the high-tech Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble basement recording studio. You wouldn't know it though, as we had yet to discover pop-filters (props to Tutone!) and we were testing different bit-rates for the MP3. Obviously, the one we used in this episode wasn't a winner.

We discuss these latest chapters in the SWG saga in addition to the usual banter. As added bonuses, we explore the more sensitive and caring sides of Vader and Palpatine, and the "Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble Acting Troop" perform two pivotal scenes from "Return of the Jedi."
Just who is Baron Papanoida? We try to uncover the mystery surrounding this shady figure; a man who's seldom seen other than at highfalutin operas. Also, this week's featured Star Wars film is "Episode V: The Empire Strikes back!" That can only mean one thing - lots of Billy D. Williams!
