Myers played a crucial role in securing an economic development funding package, resulting in a significant investment from General Motors. Her extensive legislative experience includes crafting initiatives to improve broadband access and reform the criminal justice system. Known for her expertise and respect across party lines, she has worked on all aspects of the legislative process. Before her political career, Myers engaged in community work focused on issues such as HIV transmission reduction. She holds degrees in Health Science and Public Administration from Oakland University and enjoys gardening and travel in her personal life.
