Segment 1: Father’s day
Segment 2: Feeding of the 5000. We all know the story but what is the lesson and who is it for and where is the application for today? Let’s look at v5ff . The there is something to learn here because Jesus said it will be on the test. Of you faith when in leadership.
I was talking in text to a pastor friend I have in Kenya. He was sharing with the hardship they are having right now because of the government lock down because of the COVID19. He said people can only go out of their homes if they have masks, and they cannot have more than 10 people together. He said you in America are blessed because you have TV and internet in every home so you can send the service to the people and everyone has the Bible and can read. So my friend looked up and saw that the people were hungry not for food but for the word of God. So he was asked the question.v5
Read on about the lack of money and the boy.v9
Closing : Former NFL player Marquette King Punter played for Oakland and Denver. Organized a clean up Phoenix where about 15 people white and black young and old hit the streets to clean up after the protests turned destructive. He said on Twitter “It’s ok to be different! I choose to make an impact in showing love n peace. Make a difference but be smart and calculated.”
We look at the events around George Floyd's death. What should we be looking to change and defend.
Building on last weeks episode we talk about fear. My good friend Ben and I talk about the importance of Worship in the lives of every believer and as a by product fear is cast out. I hope you enjoy this conversation and it encourages you to become daily worshipers.
What is fear, and why does it seem to be everywhere.
1. Webster defines fear: an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger: profound reverence and awe especially toward God
2. What does the bible say about Fear: Fear is a natural and, in its purpose, beneficent feeling, arising in the presence or anticipation of danger, and moving to its avoidance; it is also awakened in the presence of superiors and of striking manifestations of power, etc., taking the form of awe or reverence.
3. An article in Psychology Today by Theo Tsaousides Ph.D. is a neuropsychologist and the author of the book Brainblocks: Overcoming the Seven Hidden Barriers to Success. Says FEAR can be uncomfortable and crippling, but eliminating it would be like shutting your home alarm system because it makes an irritating noise.
a. Fear is Healthy: It is a natural chemical or electrical response in your brain to give you a heighten sense of what is going on.
i. Fear can help you from doing something really stupid : Proverbs 14:27 ESV / The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death. ii. Fear can inspire you to search deeper into something you don’t understand. Psalm 111: 10: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! iii. Revelation 1:17 ESV When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last,"
b. Fear comes in many shades: Fear can range from mild to paralyzing:
i. Mild might be a simple as not wanting to go on a roller coaster, or sticking your hand into a dark hole not knowing what was on the other side. ii. Paralyzing to not wanting to get out of bed because you are going to die from the virus. iii. Psalm 56:3-4 ESV When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? iv. 1 Peter 5:7 ESV Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
v. Psalm 27:1 ESV Of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?c. Fear is not automatic: Fear is part instinct, part learned, part survival. i. Psalm 112:7-8 ESV He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.

Intro/Opening: Today we Look for God while chasing a rabbit, and learn the benefit of discipline from Bamboo and a Pine Tree.
Segment 1: Why I love movies. Jojo rabbit the movie who, what, and when.
A. A boy being raised where “the hero” is an evil person. Eph. 2:2
B. The demonizing of the Jews. Acts 16:18-23
C. The realization that your “hero” is not your friend and the battle between the two.
Col. 3:5-7.
D. Salvation is for all, even Nazi boys. Rom. 10:8-13
Last thought on the movie it is worth a watch, I don’t believe that the director was trying to bring out these truths in the movie, but as I have said before God is everywhere and if you look for Him he will reveal Himself to you because Truth is Truth.
Closing : Pine trees and bamboo tells us about discipline.

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
