Work is an expression of the heart. The way we conduct ourselves is a reflection of our beliefs, our values. Work often reveals what’s in our hearts. What if work was designed not just to feed you, but to mold and shape you into the person you were created to be? Have we failed the test, or can we stand like David and acknowledge that everything we have (our intelligence, talents, achievements, success, wealth,etc.) it all comes from the Lord? Setting the right goals can be challenging, especially if we’ve been disillusioned, disappointed in the past. How do we find the courage to set goals with the hope to see them work this time? Change the focus! Don’t simply consider the what, the where or even the when. What do I want? What am I going to get? Where do I want to be? When do I need this by? Consider the WHO and the WHY. Tune in and listen for our strategy on how to set goals that will change your life!!!
Before you make new year resolutions and set new goals, assess where you are emotionally, spiritually, mentally, socially… Take inventory of your actions, your beliefs, your feelings and determine your course of action accordingly. If you don’t evaluate the state of your soul, you may find yourself setting the wrong goals or making decisions from a place of brokenness.
