There was a song called "Love is a Battlefield". I hope you know that when you say you're going to DO something, 1,000,000 things are going to buck up against you. Why????We are really at WAR.  It's the battle of God vs Evil - The battle for the SOUL of God's people.  ACTUAL WAR vs COLD WAR - both are DANGEROUS.We need the Armor of God (truth, righteousness, salvation, the word, gospel of peace, faith). IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE - then you have to still do these SAME THINGS!Physial prep (exercise, meditation, sleep, water, doctor appts, BACK/FEET/KNEES).Strategy/plan - how you walk, talk, what you do, what you want to do.Comrades/company you keep - WHO you do it with!Adjust as needed!--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/appSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/chatandchew/support

Having a "tough" conversation takes a lot of emotional energy, commitment, and WORK.

Some things that you may consider are:

Timing and WHO you're trying to converse with.  Honesty is a MUST.  Be sure to keep it confidential and avoid posting on SOCIAL MEDIA.

Warn the person BEFOREHAND, instead of ambushing people or acting out of anger and frustration.  Don't take the results personal or hold a grudge later.

Remember that EXPECTATIONS are a killer!  Make sure that you have the right attitude, because this is a great opportunity and a BLESSING!

The ability to reconcile, resolve, solve and/or RELEASE what ails you is not common.  Be grateful and move on after!

8) Stop NEGLECTING valuable items - keeping things maintained, cleaned, etc., and caring about them so that they can have longevity

9) Value your TIME - learn how to set and keep boundaries, and shut down when needed to maintain your personal wellness

Why does certain things go "viral" while other, more important things, get ignored?

How do we avoid discouragement when all of our hard work seems to go unnoticed?

Going "viral" is not a sign of good work or value.

We must keep on working hard, doing the things the we love and feel called or gifted to do, REGARDLESS of if we ever get noticed.

SELF LOVE is the BEST love that you can have.  When you don't love yourself, you can NEVER be truly HAPPY!

What does Self-Love LOOK like?

When you have Self-Love:

1) You have CONTENTMENT.  To be content is to have happiness even if you NEVER get something that you've longed for.

2) You are CONFIDENT - no need to blast it on social media.

3) You are CALM - no noise and chaos on the inside or on the outside.

4) You are in CONTROL.  You are methodical and walk according to YOUR plan.

5) Your energy and attitude is CONTAGIOUS!

Fall in LOVE with YOURSELF!

FEAR - False evidence appearing real.

According to Psychology Today, the most common fears are: Flying, Public Speaking, Heights, Darkness, Intimacy, Death, Failure, Rejection, Spiders, and Commitment.  I would add fear of: Falling, Sickness, Germs, Harmed, Success, and Crowds.

There are levels of fear (Trepidation, Nervousness, Anxiety, Dread, Desperation, Panic, Horror, Terror).

Fear can be DEBILITATING and humiliating.

WHERE can it come from?  Experiences,  Parents, etc.

What it's really about is the loss of control - but we were born FEARLESS!

How can you manage?  Reverse Talk/Logical conversations with self/others.  Breathe.  Plan for the worst possible outcome.  Pray.  Recite scriptures.

What things are you going to COMMIT to working on in the upcoming year?

Latin: Nolite Te Bastardes Carborundorum (Don't let the bastards grind you down).

To be "GROUND" is to be turned into dust.  What happens to dust?  It gets BLOWN AWAY

What in YOUR life is GRINDING YOU down?

People: Negative talk from self and others (discouragement, feeling defeated, abuse, even from WELL MEANING folks) can get in your head.

Places: Negative space - crime, racism, government stuff, crowds, noise, RATS, climate

Things: Physical issues, mental issues, YOU can also be the "thing" - habits, etc.

Question or RE-question your plan.  Is this my path?  Am I on the right track?  What do I need or need to do?  Self assess - am I distracted, demotivated, discouraged, etc.  fitness/readiness for the test - how am I doing so far?  what is in my way?  Do I need a BREAK to reenergize/Rude awakening from a true advisor - EVERYONE needs a good sounding board!

We are all FRAGILE in some area or another.  Are you being handled with care?  Are you treating others according to their labeling?

Why would someone mishandle you, even when you CLEARLY look injured or hurt?

GOD is our shipper - He KNOWS your condition.

You don't have to stay in ANY circumstance:

1) Take responsibility

2) Remember that you are not PERMANENTLY in a box

3) It is up to you to set the boundary

Life is a HOOT.

Experiences of pain, disappointment, and loss, force you LEARN.

In the poem, "After a While" by Veronica Shoffstall, she talks about some of the lessons that she has learned over time.

Some of the lessons of life are: Holding a hand doesn't mean that you own someone, Love is not possession, Kisses aren't contracts, Presents aren't promises, and you have to learn how to Build you OWN destiny, instead of waiting for someone to build it for you, and so much more.

What has life taught you?

Subtle: delicate, precise, difficult to describe.

When making moves or deciding to let go, consider doing it QUIETLY.

1) There is a "dark-side to the universe" that may start to disturb and disrupt your plans.

2) People can get in the way of what you are doing if you tell them what you are planning.

3) Assess the "time" of the thing that you want to do to determine if it is really TIME to let go.

Why does God "allow" bad things to happen to "good people"?

1) Permissive will vs. Perfect will - God may allow something, even though He knows it won't work out because you won't listen.

2) Rain happens to EVERYONE - there is a "balance" of good and bad events for everyone to help develop our character and because bad abides in this world.

3) God's grace and mercy has kept us from things that we may have deserved (etc. car accidents).  Good things happen to people who don't even believe too - WHY?

4) Fate/chance/opportunity happens to us ALL - the universe shifts to let things happen.  Right place/Wrong place vs Right time/Wrong time.

5) Life's lessons - You'll will see moments (teachable things) - it's God's way of saying "I told you".  But He will HOLD YOU UP when you return.

Let's chat....

SPECIAL NOTE: BE SURE TO LISTEN UNTIL THE VERY END - Part 2 is just a VERY short conclusion because my tape recorder cut off.

Hi everyone!

In this episode, I chat about marriage.....not as a concept, but on a very PERSONAL LEVEL.

This will NOT be one of those "How to" episodes on marriage, or about what it takes to have a successful marriage, or even a discussion on what a  "good marriage" looks like.

Instead, I've decided to open up a little bit about WHY my marriages FAILED.

Thanks for joining me!

DON'T FORGET TO LISTEN UNTIL THE VERY END - Part 2 is VERY short because my tape recorder cut off.
